fulanimafia: Borno? Cross check your claim.
Tinubu is the Jagaban of Borgu (Niger State) and he is honoured and respected to this day. Have you heard anyone complain of Tinubu's chieftancy? Tinubu and FFK are like day and night.
No comparison. I think he confused borno with borgu but that's where he got the nickname Jagaban, a lot of folks probably didn't know it's a traditional title and think it's a street name. |

omenka: I have been saying it and will continue to say it. We have become so clanish in this country that the strength of our revolt or revulsion for a perceived wrongdoing is predicated on the identity of its perpetrator.
It is okay if "one of our own" is the snag to our progress and not okay if an outsider is, notwithstanding the fact that both would exert exactly the same hinderance to our collective success.
That is Nigeria for you and that is the reason why there is no uproar in the Niger Delta over the revelations of monumental malfeasance in the body. Of course the reactions would have been different if someone from the North was the one heading the body. Perhaps the militants would have been blowing up pipelines by now.
Nigeria is in a really sorry state. We are tribalist, clanish, we are everything in Nigeria but not patriotic. Nobody ever said give me Nigeria or I die, it's give my region and that's why in the long run it's better everybody splits. It's only where they are sharing the money or in football we unite as Nigerians. |

This is a great development
A major part of the prosperity of Europe was surrounded by functioning factories, so much that it was dubbed the industrial revolution. Germany aftemath of the war built up it's strength with factories, it is a manufacturing powerhouse today. Shows like How it is made and Extreme Engineering attest to that.
I somewhat weep for our country, we are moving at a snail's pace, we have been left behind. Our country is similar to a child born with a silver spoon, the abundance of resources makes him a spendthrift, makes him weak and can scarcely fashion a man out of him, he will always have friends, relatives and strangers who want to have a piece of his (National) cake and they will never steer him in the right direction except those who rarely have his genuine interests, how then does our boy know who has his interests at heart?
Oh Nigeria my country! How I wish a government is not a reflection of it's society.
Regardless, we are moving. |

wunmi590: No doubt, both countries can take over, America has the largest support.
My brother honestly, it made mo sense, not even now that he's seeking for reelection. Major funding for over 20 years without compromising and without being the major beneficiary is the issue. If China and Russia can do that then no problem. Only the Saud's may want to do that and I think it will be for image laundering, but even then $450-500M per year no be beans. SmartPolician: Over the years, China has been challenging the US as an emerging world's power, it's time for the East to start shouldering some of the responsibilities that the US used to carry.
The US and her citizens have really tried for our world, yet many people hate them for no reason. Bill Gates is the highest individual contributor to the WHO, with a contribution bigger than those of 10 African countries combined. Ironically it's an American that's the highest individual contributor, Bill gates should be the richest man in the world but he's donated over $25bn worldwide. Even if the world and WHO adjusts dem go know say funding commot for table. I'm sure 3 out of 5 Americans will tell you they agree with Trump esp if the money is coming out of the taxpayers and just because of that, they can vote for him. If not for the corona virus Trump would win that election hands down, jobs were on the increase and even Black and Latino Americans said they were going to vote for Trump, I wouldn't put it past China to have wanted to sabotage Trump from start and if China did, then it's the coward's way to fight back after the sanctions and to get him out of office. This just shows China can't do a Head on collision with the US Common Huawei wey US sanction China dey shout, seeing how major US companies like FB, Google, Twitter are all banned in China. In trade war China will lose the most, it's a no brainer China can't fund WHO back to back at that amount for free, and mtcheew Russia no even send us. The USA is that big brother that sends us money every time we ask, we think it's our right. when he doesn't we call family meeting and start calling him names Like you said world power no be by mouth carry responsibility for back make we know how far. |
