Iamundisputed: In terms of organisation, Lagos is not a model city. Talk about transportation, environment and general infrastructure. I haven't been to Jo Burg, but my mom has... I've been to bigger cities in Europe as I studied in Germany. I have also been to a few African countries as well. While we are not competing, you need to understand that organisation is what makes a city called a city. I lived all my life in Lagos, and I can tell you Lagos is very dirty, if not for trade and commerce, it would be a very bad idea to live here.
PS: Next time be polite... I don't want to insult anyone as I love to debate intelligently. Please let's respect each other. oluwaseyi0: My story look a little bit like yours
Those days of my ND whenever I visit my aunt, I automatically assume the role of the one to do house chores her kids are lazy, as I continue to grow older it doesn't sit well with me, during my HND I learnt photography and start doing wait and get photos while staying with a friend, immediately I start earning small changes my dependency on her greatly reduced hence I don't visit often, before and during my service year I learnt programming and got a job immediately after service
I am grateful for all my aunt and her husband has done for me but the truth is I WON'T ACHIEVE ANYTHING IF I CONTINUE TO STAY WITH THEM MY MIND WILL BE MORE FIXATED ON COMPLETING A NEVER ENDING CYCLE OF HOUSE CHORES RATHER THAN THINKING ABOUT MY CAREER
it's very unfortunate that that's a typical African family treatment
@adunni07 you are simply are adopted house girl and that is not going to change any time soon, no one is gonna let a passive slave free just like that, fighting her is a no no, it is a war you will never win but you will come out severely wounded, she will paint you as ingrate, your parents will rather support her, if you fight her her husband will rather support her and worse of all you will loose the gains and comfort her house bring
Your best bet is to find something doing asap, if it's to learn a vocational training, intensify your job hunting and act grown up, let her see you as busy, don't let her always see you as available, immediately you get a reasonable job your best bet is leaving her house This is a very Quoran like answer, practical solution application to real life problems. wearing it left or right hand now depend on the culture that your country has adopted(just like car drivers side)...since nigeria is copy and paste from the white gods and Our tradition has nothing to give to identify those married one from different tribe. I can tell you the Scandinavian(Barbarians) history of how the ring came about to be on the finger, the MYTH is popular because the Romans became a world power. it's all about perspectives and yours isn't quite objective. A good majority of Nlnders have a problem with comprehension, they can read, they can write but to understand it and speak/explain on it just seems to elude them, that's why very few of them can function well on Quora and Reddit. I am not attacking your intellect in any way, if I did you probably wouldn't know. If ALL veins(not only ones in the finger) has direct entries to the heart as you say, then wouldn't the premise of putting a marriage ring anywhere in any part of the body be valid because the vein there eventually leads to the heart. The objective/Practical solution was to wear it on the left hand was because it interfered with day to day activities and most people are right handed That being said I do NOT discard the MYTH P:S Bro/Sis stop using this "why are you pained/emotional/marital paralysis" in a discourse, a lot of people lead good lives outside of these things you mentioned, don't get sucked into the myopic mindset of attacking the emotions of Nlnders specifically and Nigerians at large, be objective when analyzing, besides it makes one come across as having a fortress of intellectual nothingness. You'd rarely be considered as someone who has something worthwhile to say. FOR REALZ Hit me up if you wanna know the Scandinavian story. |

We don’t. What you just said is false. It’s a silly myth made up by people without any knowledge in physiology as a romantic fairy tale to try to explain why we customarily wear a wedding ring on the left hand.
The real reason we traditionally wear wedding rings on the left hand is a lot more practical. Most people are right handed.
P.S: I could a ring on my Big right toe and it'd lead back to the heart. All veins lead back to the heart in a roundabout way. |

Christianity Etc › Re: This Infallibility Question by Ayt27(m): 12:04pm On Jun 14, 2020 |
GodPunishBiafra: My friend, the Bible didn't fall from heaven. It was written by mere men that claimed they had inspiration of "God"... Which God? No one can answer that.
That's why the Bible is inconsistent, incomplete, inaccurate, unreliable etc. So it's many religious books too.
Christianity is not different from Hinduism. The only difference is that you people chose Jesus' story while they sticked with KRISHNA...
The whole idea that Jesus “died for sin” is not only illogical, it’s monstrously grotesque and ugly. And it cannot honestly be rooted in Yahweh or Hebrew scripture or messianism. It cannot be honestly rooted in the ideas of sin and sacrifice and atonement in Judaism or the Hebrew Bible. It was a posthumous ad hoc contrivance to redeem Jesus from being an obviously failed and false messiah (AS SEEN BY BY JEWS). It’s based entirely on the rape of Jewish scripture. It’s got lots of fulfillment fiction.
Even John 3:16 is lipstick on a pig.
The NT is not only a rip-off of ritual temple sacrifice and atonement, it’s a crime scene of promiscuous and dishonest, out-of-context proof-texting rapine of Jewish scripture that completely re-conceives and re-manufactures and re-packages a totally counterfeit messiah. It’s artificial “fulfillment” that was manufactured and slapped onto Jesus by mere assertion after he was already long dead. The Gospels are late-appearing and deliberate hagiography with a self-conscious agenda to manufacture and portray Jesus as “fulfillment.”
The invention of the Christian myth from out of the life and death of Jesus is fascinating. Where did the “empty tomb” story come from that shows up in Mark after the Temple had already been destroyed? And what about those stories of Jesus supposedly appearing after he was dead? Regardless, I do believe there is a supreme being that Lords over all. |

GodPunishBiafra: [s][/s] My man, YOU ARE LOST in senseless imaginations and false acceptance. Honestly! It's complete ignorance.
JESUS NEVER DIED FOR ANYONE'S SIN !
IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR SOMEONE TO DIE FOR ANOTHER PERSON'S SINS.
IT IS SENSELESS TO THINK THAT THE ALMIGHTY GOD (omnipotent) WILL REQUIRE AN INNOCENT MAN TO DIE HIS ATONEMENT.
Jesus was sentenced by Pilate for sedition. He was termed a rebel! He was called a king by some of his people The penalty of his crime was DEATH!
The religious leaders said that Jesus was making himself a King other than Ceasar. Blasphemy would not have brought death under Roman law, only Jewish law. The Jewish religious leaders did condemn Jesus for Blasphemy, but had no authority to put anyone to death, but Jesus could be put to death for Sedition. The Jewish leaders pressured Pilot, not with Blasphemy, but with the charge of Sedition, since Jesus was considered a King. Caesar could have no rival King.
John 19: 14 “Now it was preparation of the passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews: “See! YOUR king!” 15 However, they shouted: “Take [him] away! Take [him] away! Impale him!” Pilate said to them: “Shall I impale YOUR king?” The chief priests answered: “We have no king but Caesar.”
I don't agree with you but I respect your opinion |

GodPunishBiafra: If Jesus called God, the eternal heavenly father, "they know you, the only true God", how can Jesus be God?
If he will sit on the right side of God, how can he be God? If he never said he is God, how can you say he is God?
My man, I swear to you I always thought this too, because of some of the points you highlighted but after I got saved roughly a year later I got to understand Jesus is God. It is a mystery, one cannot understand it if we were to look at it from a physical or individual point of view. God is a being with 3 persons (God,Jesus,Spirit) Man is a being with 1 person (Man) Human is the same too, Spirit, Body, Soul God is the same too, Spirit (Holy Spirit), Body/Flesh(Jesus) and God(Soul) and I strongly believe that's why He loves us so, because we are the only beings created in his likeness. Summarily, Jesus is actually God just as your Spirit is actually you. |

Aj doesn't have stamina that is a pure lie. Fury strength is in his jab, Throw combination clinch the opponent, drain the opponent strength by resting on him. Good footworks but he would have to change his style to match Joshua. Lol, I think AJ is somewhat lacking in stamina, you highlighted the Gypsy King qualities but those qualities are the exact thing that may Work against AJ E.g I)We agree AJ punches are heavy for him to throw those punches Fury has to be a step or two from him, for it to be effective. ii) Fury's if he is nearer has the advantage of his jab and resting on his opponent also he's combo punches. Infact my advise for fury will be to stick near AJ so as not to give him space for hooks, coz if AJ land 2-3 well placed omo na Oyo oo |

ORIENTATION101: fury is a good fighter but his punches re joke. Even his KO fights are all jokes. Wilder can't take Aj punishment for a round. Wilder was literally open throughout his fight with fury. He didnt defend a single punch. If fury punches were heavy like Aj, wilder would not survive up to 4 rounds. Like fury literally beat him from round 1 to 7 yet wilder was still eager to fight if not for his corner that threw in a towel Really you think so? I didn't think Wilder was that open, fury managed to do some decent to heavy damage. Wilder is actually hype tho, Ruiz could bout him well Yes I agree with AJ's punches being heavier but remember he is somewhat lacking in stamina, I think stamina would be a major decider. Apart from that, I picked on personalities, fury seems to have that crazy touch/look in a serial killer the kind you want in a boxer. I am rooting for AJ obviously but there's just something that ticks me concerning that fury guy. |

Fury's like a crazy tornado, making him difficult to predict and his punches carry better weight, ask Wilder. Factors like stamina(AJ is lacking in stamina), being able to convert every opening will matter alot. If anyone wins it would be by an inch or two.
Personally, I think this will be the toughest fight for both sides, it's tough to call all I can say is they are evenly matched, but my money seems to be on Fury.
Luck dey for sports no be for boxing
Modified: I pick Fury not because he may/may not be better fighter, he seems to have that serial killer look in his eyes, natural born predators, which is what you def want in a boxer. |
