European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fan Dies After Lampard's city equalizer. by ayusco85(m): 12:17pm On Sep 23, 2014 |
knightsTempler: Fahad Musanan, 24, was watching the Premier League clash with friends in Uganda when he fainted as Lampard slotted home with minutes to play. His friends rushed him to hospital but the 24-year-old, himself a professional footballer in the Ugandan Premier League, was pronounced dead upon his arrival at Bombo Military Hospital. "He has been a passionate fan of Chelsea and would do anything for the club," Musanan's friend Gerald Bagoole told Kawowo news agency. "We trained with him on Sunday morning, had lunch together." Kawowo reported: "Being a staunch Chelsea die-hard, it is believed shock might have led to his heart failure and complications." Fred Kajoba, Musanan's coach at Simba FC, confirmed Musanan had made no complaint during Sunday's training session. The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (Fufa) released a statement on their website moments after the player’s death on Sunday evening. “Fufa is in shock after receiving news about the sudden death of Simba FC player Musana Fahad in Bombo this evening,” read the statement. “The body is currently at the Bombo Barracks Hospital. Burial arrangements will be communicated later.” Last year a Ugandan Arsenal fan lost his house after placing a bet that the north London side would beat Manchester United. Chelsea had been leading title rivals City thanks to Andre Schurrle's strike until Lampard struck against the side he faithfully served for over ten years. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/401056/Chelsea-fan-dead-Manchester-City-Frank-Lampard What's wrong with Ugandan supporters? Last year a man utd fan hanged himself there after we lost a match. Well abramovich should set up a committee to look into it.

Well don't blame the girls o, blame the society they found themselves in. They made marriage seem like the ultimate goal for every lady. That has beclouded lots of girls who don't even know what they can achieve because they are only looking forward to finish schl and get married. |

aieromon: You're right about the infusion of new hands with modern ideas. After seeing the rot in DSC Aladja, I'm afraid it's easier said than done. So I guess if they don't recruit new hands soon we will know the said expansion and remodelling is just a Hoax to gain cheap political point, with 2015 general election in sight. |

CityNG: When I was growing up in Ibadan we had Scala, Odeon, KS and Queens cinema to go to watch movies (honest to god movie theaters not some mall fiasco that we have now), we had Kingsway, Leventis and UTC to go shopping at. I mean for crying out loud Kingsway was three floors of shopping and Leventis was at least two. Now we're celebrating ShopRite
We had landline phones in our houses, running water and yes we had electricity outage but I do not recollect once wearing an unironed shirt to work because light was adequate maybe they'll take it down for an hour or so in a day.
I left Nigeria when I was 19 and I already owned three cars and many super bikes (Triumph Tiger, BMW, Norton Commando).
The sad thing for me to see are some of the yours of the day that were born in 1990 and above, they do not know what they are missing.
There was night life in Ibadan, IICC was reigning, Ranger of Enugu were our sworn enemies, reused to follow the teams around whenever they had an away game. My friend sand I used to leave Ijebu Ode to go convoy with other Guys in Abeokuta at 9PM to go to shrine to see Fela and we will come back at 3am. There were road blocks and the Police will stop is and as long as we had out school IDs, they'll pass us through. The Police were truly our friends back then. I think all these struggles is what is turning them into common crooks (not making any excuse for them).
But sha god dey and I hope someone finally sees the light and stops the thievery in high places and really start working on internal projects. Its all left to us to sit down and figure out where we got it all wrong. Then startt fixing our country. If we don't, time will come when our passport can't guarantee u access into any country aside Nigeria and maybe Niger republic. Let's unite and say no to corruption and bad leadership. Things ought to be done right in Nigeria and by Nigerians. |

aieromon: They already have staff that have been paid for donkey years to do nothing.
The title of the thread is misleading. Let's wait till December to celebrate. With the new re-modelled ajakuta steel plant trust me they will need new hands, both skilled and unskilled. Mind u there was expansion of the company so definately the previous staff won't be able to run the company. |

CityNG: For sure and we're making progress, not as fast as most hoped but progress none the less.
It' just that some of us remember who good things were in the 70's/80's and then things took a backwards slide.
I remember going to UK with no visa (we didn't need visas back then) and even when I came to the US folks were intrigued and had lots of cultural questions to ask about Nigeria. Then slowly it became about 419 and stuff. My dad has told me good stories about Nigeria of the 60's 70's and 80's. I will say we had a country to be proud of then but we spoilt it with our own hands. I will never forgive Babangida for what he did to Nigerian economy with S.A.P nonsense. |

I guess his visit yielded the answer he was looking for, hence his campaign to the Oba's palace.

argon500: I dated a guy a few years ago, at first he appeared funny, charming and friendly. He kept that charade on for awhile until we decided we'd move to his family's house and live together. As soon as that happened, his controlling psychotic self came out. I wasn't allowed to have any friends or even go back home to see my family/friends. I actually had to sneak away while he was still at work to do that. I was naive and just put up with it.... One night we went out drinking to the bar and we got into a fight so bad he was screaming at me, so bad that some other guys in the bar got security to kick him out. I decided I was still going to stay and try enjoy the rest of the night. In any case I get home and all of my belongings are on the lawn and it's raining... I try to go in and start bringing in my things and he starts throwing me around outside. I start running and he actually gets in his car and TRIES TO HIT ME WITH IT! Complete psycho... I dated that?!?! Well I once dated a girl that can lie eh...... Her lies can wake a deaad man that have been dead for over 1week. She always used to tell me she was having a "Girls night out" at her female friends house. When I call to confirm behold I hear her friends voices...... Little did I know her supposed girls night out was actually a night out with a MAN in his house.
