Sayyidina Thawban (RA) reported the Prophet (SAW) as saying, “When a Muslim pays a sick visit to his brother Muslim, he does not cease to pick up the fruits of Paradise.” [Ahmed22470, Muslim 2568] |
I love to see the brothers being at their very best during the night (in humble devotion) for surely that is nobler than being at ones very best during the day. The reason for this is that during the day one is seen by people while during the night one is seen by the Lord of the Worlds” [ Muhmmad b Al Munkadir ] |
Red Traffic light. Do you stop at the red light at the traffic signal? Yes you have to, because its the minimum requirement in order to follow the traffic rules. Similarly praying Salath 5 times a day is a minimum requirement to be a Muslim. What happens if you do not pray? Not praying is similar to not stopping at the Red traffic light! Its a disaster waiting to happen. May Allah increase our Imaan and make us regular in our Salat. Ameen. |

"The believer speaks little, but does much. And the hypocrite talks a lot, but does little. The believer's speech is wisdom, his silence is contemplation, his gaze is pondering, his actions are righteous. So if this is your state, you shall perpetually be in worship." - Fudayl bin Iyyad |

"Happiness is not the absence of problems from one’s life, but the capability to deal with those problems & enjoy the blessings one has." [ Shaikh Yasir Qadhi ] |
Narrated by Abu Huraira: The Prophet (Saw) said, "The Hour (Last Day) will not be established until (religious) knowledge will be taken away (by the death of religious learned men), earthquakes will be very frequent, time will pass quickly, afflictions will appear, murders will increase and money will overflow amongst you." (Volume 2 : Book 17 : Hadith 146 : Bukhari) |
Abdullah asked his father Imaam Ahmad (rahimahullah) one day, “Abi (father) when will we ever relax?” His father, one of the greatest revivers of the Sunnah, one who endured countless hardships and afflictions for defending tenets of Islam, a role model for all Muslims, looked him in the eye and said, “With the first step we take into Jannah.” |
''Many a spoken word is more piercing than an attack''. (Ali ibn Abu Talib RA) |
Sayyidina Abu Huraira (RA) reported that Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “A believer has six rights over a Believer (They are) He visits him when he is sick, He attends his final rites when he dies. He accepts his invitation when he invites him. He offers him salaam when they meet. When he sneezes and says alhamdulilah, he says yarhamak-Allah. He wishes him well both in his presence and in his absence.” [Nisai 1934] |
Brotherhood in Islam Who do you fight the most with? Certainly with our brothers/sisters. But who do we love the most? Certainly its our brothers/sister. Even if we Muslims argue and fight with each other we belong to one Family. Even if we belong to different country, race, age, or even if we dont speak the same language we can recognize each other, because we have One thing in common no matter what happens. Its Lailaaha illAllah Muhammadur-rasoolullah. Say Takbeer my beloved Brothers and Sisters: ALLAHUAKBAR. Weekly reminder: Do not forget to recite Suratul Dhukhan today, remember we will get the prayer of 70,000 angels. The following recitation is only 7mins. 7min is a small time considering the fact we will get the prayer of 70,000 angels. May Allah give us the blessing to do more Ibadah. Ameen. Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) as saying: " Seek help from Allah and do not lose heart, and if anything (in the form of trouble) comes to you, don't say: If I had not done that, it would not have happened so and so, but say: Allah did that what He had ordained to do and your" if" opens the (gate) for the Satan." Jazakumullahu Khairan. I actually meant the same thing as you said. But the original sentence was ambiguous. I ve made it more specific as u mentioned. : ) Allah knows best. |
ifyalways:I too wondered about it. Since i dont know anything about Fiqh (Islamic Jurisdiction) i am not supposed to form my own opinion. Some Scholars say its permissible for Halal purpose such as identification (Passport, criminal records, ID cards etc). @Ify On a general note. Its better not to form an opinion based on a single or few Hadith. I m guilty of it in my first post. Rather follow what Fiqh scholars opinion about it. They are the experts. The some minimum requirements to even start studying to Fiqh to become a FAQIH (Jurist) are: One should have memorized the Quran and over 100,000 ahadith. This includes the text, chain and the characteristics of the men/women in the isnad. Also he should be well versed with Arabic grammar & should know the purpose & situation in which each verse of quran reveled. Should also know the before & after time of 2 verse or 2 hadith if apparently seen contradicting on one similar issue. Also consensus of sahaba (razi) are given importance & also the fatwa of those Sahaba (razi) are given preference on others sahaba (razi) who had spend more time with Prophet (sawallalahu wa alayiwassallam) So you can imagine how knowledgeable they will be after years of Fiqh studies. They are the only ones who can give valid opinions in religious matters. Allah knows best. EDIT: As mentioned by Lagosboy basic Fiqh is to be learned by all Muslims. The above mentioned requirements are for learning Fiqh formally to become a Jurist. |
Lagosboy:Very useful information. Jazakallahu Khairan bro. ifyalways:As in photographs, ? I have posed for photos. yes. |
Sayyidah Aisha (RA) narrated: Allah’s Messenger (SAW) said, “The Believer in terms of faith is he who is best of them in manners and mild to his family.” [Ahmed 24259] |
Imam al-Shafi'i said: “A wise man once wrote to another wise man: ‘O my brother, you have indeed been given knowledge, so do not pollute your knowledge with the darkness of sins such that you remain in darkness on the Day that the people of knowledge speed forth with the light of their knowledge.’ ” |
A thought provoking story: A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat & watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it seemed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could, & it could go no further. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it h, ad a swollen body and small, shrivelled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shrivelled wings. It never was able to fly. What the man, in his kindness and haste, did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were Allah's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon. Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our lives. If Allah [Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala] allowed us to go through our lives without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been. We could never "fly"! |
Wa Alaikumusalaam warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, muhsin:Ameen. |
Well there was all such Fitna(problems) in the past and there will be more in the future. For Allah has already said such things will happen. But is that an excuse for us to miss Salah. In the Day of Resurrection we will be asked about our deficit in Salah. Can we quote the current condition of muslims as an excuse. I think not. My concept of religion is simple. As mentioned in the Quran, Allah has created mankind to worship him. The life in this world is temporary. We will be tested with temptations, trails and afflictions. We have been send Allah's guidance through Prophet Muhammad(saw) in the form of Quran and Sunnah (hadith). Life of Hereafter is the real life which is eternal. The one who strives in the path of Allah in this life will be victorious in the life of hereafter. Even if we have sinned there is always hope if we repent sincirely for Allah's Mercy is vast and it precedes his wrath. But the question is are we upto the task of striving for Allah in this life? It always scares me bro. : ( May Allah guide all of us in the path of the righteous. Ameen. |
"(The righteous are those) who feed the poor, the orphan and the captive for the love of God, saying: 'We feed you for the sake of God Alone; we seek from you neither reward nor thanks.' " - The Holy Quran, 76:8-9 |
It is reported that, Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: "The worst person on the day of Qiyamah will be the one who reveals the private life of his wife to others." (Muslim) |
