chakula:I dont think I am knowledgeable enough to give a commentary on Hadith bro. But I will say what I understood from the Hadith. I think it means toward the end of times there will be so much trails and afflictions (Dajjal etc) that to live according to Islam will become very difficult, similar to holding hot coal. |
@Araboy I dont see you back in this thread. Got busy? |
“This is the Book in which there is no doubt, a guidance for those who have taqwa; who believe in the unseen, and who establish Salah, and spend out of what we have provided for them” (Quran 2: 2-3) |
It is reported that, The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said "There will come a time when holding on to your Iman would be like holding on to hot coal" (Sahih al-Tirmidhi) |
"Iman is what settles in the heart and it is proven by Actions" [Ibnu Al Qayyim Al Jawzi] |
Jazakallahu Khairan. I have heard this story from my Imam long time back. I couldnt recollect it properly. Thanx for reminding. Deen4me:Very true. It is Allah who provides us with the protection. So we should seek refuge in Him. And the Moral of the story isMoral of the story is: " Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things." - Prophet's (Saw) Last Sermon This is exactly how people stop Salah. Initially it will be delaying it. Then waiting till the last moment. Then missing it n the finally stops Salah altogether. Auzubillahi mina shaytanirrajeem. I seek refuge from Allah from the outcast Satan |
''Knowledge and practice are twins, and both go together. There is no knowledge without practice, and no practice without knowledge'' [ Ali Ibn Abi Talib (RA)] |
"Let the days do as they please And be optimistic when destiny decrees Do not despair due to the events of nights past For the events of this world were not meant to last." [ Imam Al Shafi’ee ] |
We should be careful not to over-praise our colleagues as this may lead to them becoming proud and boastful. Abu Musa Al-Ashari(ra) narrated that the Prophet (S.A.W) heard someone praising another and exaggerating in his praise. The Prophet said, "You have ruined or cut the man's back (by praising him so much). " [Bukhari Vol 3 Book 48 No 831] |
Brothers lets not turn this to an argument. lolz. We have much better things to do ![]() Salaam. |
Araboy:SubhanAllah, May Allah shower Barakah in your business. Since you own your own business, time is not the issue for Salat. Araboy:When I mentioned about Salat, you mentioned about religion and its role in people's life. Can you share more about your views about it. Do you think Salat is not necessary? Is religion spoiling the life of people in this world? etc etc. I want to hear more about your opinion. |
Subhanallah. Look at the bright side, you are aware of the importance of Salah unlike many. Brother i too had similar problems faced by you. I have a small request. Lets stop focusing about mistake that other Muslims do for the time being. Lets concentrate on ourselves a bit. Lets encourage each other and at the same time self evaluate our own deeds. As for me I am not working at the moment. So Alhamdulillah time is not that much of a problem for me now. But I am afraid how it will be when I start going to work. How about you do you go to work now? Is it possible that you can start praying atleast one of the Salat everyday regularly. How abt Isha? I hope you are not working at night time. |
@Araboy We can discuss here, InshAllah. |
Think twice before leaving prayer: Buraidah (radiallahu anh) reported: Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa salam) said, "That which differentiates us from the kuffar (disbelievers) and the hypocrites is our performance of Salat. He who abandons it, becomes a kafir (disbeliever).'' [At-Tirmidhi]. Think about the benefit of performing prayer: Abu Hurairahu (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, "Say, if there were a river at the door of one of you in which he takes a bath five times a day, would any soiling remain on him?'' They replied, "No soiling would left on him.'' He (PBUH) said, '' That is the five (obligatory) Salat (prayers). Allah obliterates all sins as a result of performing them.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. |
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu, بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim I thought i would initiate a thread where we could discuss the importance of Salat. It is one of the five pillars of Islam. It is what differentiates a true Muslim from nonbelievers. It is obligatory on every Muslim. But, at present we often ourselves experience times when we miss Salat. At first its just one or two then a full five prayers, then days pass by without a single salat, then Juma'a becomes the only time when your head touches the ground for Sujood and Even worse to missing Juma'a prayer. Most of us have gone through this dreaded phase. We forget Salat is the first deed that will be examined at the Day of Resurrection. So lets remind each other the Virtues of Salat in this thread. Remember to be humble while giving advice and please do not turn this into a debate thread. (I hope the moderators help me with it) May Allah give the blessing to Perform our Salat on its prescribed time, and make it free from mistakes. Also Accept our deeds. Ameen. |
Araboy:Sure bro. |
There might be a lot of Muslims going in the wrong way, that does not mean Islam is wrong. Islam is the way of Allah which is the right path. There will be always transgressors but shouldnt we try to 'enjoin good and forbid evil ' as it is said in the Quran. Dont you think you should make Salah and make dua for yourself and others to be guided in the right path. Come on brother never loose hope in Allah the Almighty, his Mercy is very very vast. Why dont you start with Salat brother, you must already know this: "The similitude of the five (obligatory) Salat is like a river running at the door of one of you in which he takes a bath five times a day.'' I m sure you are not only knowledgable but you also have it in you to make it into action InshAllah. May Allah guide all of us in the right path and increase our good deed and accept it. Ameen. |
Araboy:What happened in between, You lost faith in Allah? |
Thuwayr reported his father as saying that Sayyidina Ali held him by his hand aid, "Come, let us pay a sick visit to Husayn ." There they found Sayyidina Abu Musa (RA) with him. Sayyidina Ali asked him, “Have you come to pay a sick visit, 0 Abu Musa, or just a regular visit?” [/i]He said, [i]“I have come to visit the sick.” [/i]So, Ali said, [i]“I heard Allah’s Messenger (SAW) say : If a Muslim pays visit to a sick Muslim in the morning, seventy thousand angels pray for him till evening, and if he pays him the sick visit at night then seventy thousand angels pray for him till morning, and there is (also) a garden for him in Paradise.” [Abu Dawud 3098, Ibn e Majah 1442] |
Three blessings in Tribulation -- ''first, the tribulation could have been worse second, it was in worldly matters & not in the spiritual ones & third it came in the finite world & not the infinite one. All three are reasons to thank Allah even for tribulations'' [ Shaykh Hamza Yusuf ] |
Araboy:Oh brother thats so unfortunate. Is it because of your work timings or something? |
chakula:I got this sunnah from one of your posts, JazakAllahukhairan. |
Weekly reminder: Do not forget to recite Suratul Dhukhan today, remember we will get the prayer of 70,000 angels. The following recitation is only 7mins. 7min is a small time considering the fact we will get the prayer of 70,000 angels. May Allah give us the blessing to do more Ibadah. Ameen. It is reported that Sufyân b. Uyainah Allâh have mercy on him said, "The intelligent person is not one who merely knows what is good and what is bad. The intelligent person is one who, when he sees what is good, follows it, and when he sees evil, shuns it." Abû Nuaym, Hilyah Al-Awliyâ`, Vol. 4 p16. |
“Whoever asks Allah (SWT) sincerely for martyrdom [Allahumma inni as'aluk ash-shahadah], Allah (SWT) will cause him to reach the status of the martyrs even if he dies in his bed.” ['Sahih al-Bukhari'; # 1909] |
The Prophet SAW was asked, "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?" He said, "The one that is continuous, even if it is little." [Sahih al-Bukhari] |
Ibn Umar narrated, "A lady was punished because of a cat which she had imprisoned till it died. She entered the (Hell) Fire because of it, for she neither gave it food nor water as she had imprisoned it, nor set it free to eat from the vermin of the earth" [Bukhari Vol 4, Book 56, No 689] |
"The true believer is rewarded in every thing, even in affliction." [ Abu Bakr As Siddiq R.A ] |
It is reported that, The Prophet SAW was asked, "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?" He said, "The one that is continuous, even if it is little." [Sahih al-Bukhari] |
I think the word disbeliever will suffice for infidel. Brother please continue with the opening post, its a good one. |
congoshine:Well go figure. You just wanna make stupid arguments. I don't care what you think. HasbunAllahu Wani'amal Wakeel. |
