Harsh truth... GEJ actually said it that Nigerians will miss him, we all laughed. Now what's happening today?
We miss the high oil prices not GEJ!!! angry

With all the analysis and explanations provided, may I ask you rhetorical questions?

1.When the chips are down, who has the power to make policies capable of steering the economy towards productivity?

2. If those policies are in place, not as abrupt as our case here, would there be a visible change of fortunes in the economy?

3. Is government of the day excusable from economic management as a primary responsibility?
Leave all this story you're saying to sound intelligent.

If oil prices and output stay low and we don't move the Nigerian economy away from oil, this recession will continue.

We've had this coming since the 80's and guess what.....its finally here.

Threads like this reveal the IQ of people you're arguing with.

They don't even know what determines a currency's exchange rate, all they say is "garri was N40 under GEJ, its now N200 under Buhari".

Very shallow, daft individuals, ask them "why"? They'll break off into a "Back in 1983" rant as if they were alive back then to know what truly happened.

No matter the computerized reply which I know GEJ didn't say himself since I know he's a daft man.....a lucky one tho...., I'll never take him or his followers serious.

They're all clowns to me.

Thank God GEJ has been voted out forever, mumu Ex president.

their ignorance is so vast, you can't even know where to start with them.

The worst part of it is they're so vocal and proud of their shortcomings.

Its best they're left to wallow in their ignorance.

Hmmmmmmm............................

Mental capacity? Hate?

Read my comment again and be enlightened.

What word (s) in my comment(s) suggests hate?

And why are you so eager to make my mental capacity a topic of discussion on an online forum thread that already has a topic??

If you cannot intelligently explain why the fall in the price of Oil is solely responsible (with special emphasis on the words "Solely Responsible" ) for the decline in the value of the Naira from between #180/216 to #500/650; then why persecute my mental capacity and accuse me of hate speech? undecided

Assuming this kind of posture in what ought to be a purely intelligent, academically enlightening debate will only make one sound like an amalgamated combination of both Lai Mohammed/Femi Adesina and Chief Oyegun put together......... undecided
People that don't know but think they know are avoided by me.

Bye.

The bolded line is not true, please be practical in your assertions.................................................
The price of oil plays a role but it isnt solely responsible. A simple review of the price of Oil from 1965 till 2017 along side the price of the dollar is more than enough to prove that comment wrong.
What are you saying?

Demand and supply determines the currency exchange rates.

What are we(Nigeria) offering the world?

What is its current value?

What is its current demand?

Information is all around you, don't limit your mental capacity just to show you hate one man.

If u are intelligent u will see where it is clearly written that the National reserves have been increasing because of the increment in oil price. Or what is ur point? If u think because oil price have been over $50/barrel for 4 months the value of Naira must increase too, then i am wasting my time on u.
You can see why I said I wasn't going to educate anyone in my earlier post.

These people are some of the dumbest, daftest set of people you'll ever come across.

What was the average oil price during the previous administration.

Its average price was 100% higher than what we have today for most of the tenure.

So countries without oil have their exchange at 100000 to the dollar?
Why can't u people be reasonable and admit that buhari knows nothing about governance.
Those countries without oil have other means of value they exchange, eg mineral resources, services, manufactured goods.

You shouldn't let your hatred for Buhari limit your thinking.

Most of the comments and thread u are seeing as 'not wishing each other well' are just ordinary warning bro, don't take it personal. I have seen nairaland putting up genuine advert like police, custom, efcc recruitment and businesses for making money in front page. I have seen naira land creating awareness for danger to save people. Mmm is a danger, a financial risk. Though nairaland has not been fair the way they are not writing about those who bought house, got married and bought their car through mmm.
those that lost a lot, some their lives due to MMM far out-number those with MMM sucess stories.

The bottom of the pyramid is always its largest part.

Don't mind them, them don chop am finish, won ti je tan.
Come and see them crying up and down in the market, this change is a big problem to them.
These are people that will rent a small shop for 2 million naira without having 200k for serious business.
They will now use the shop to set a trap for the Chinese to bring stocks for them.
only God knows what they normally do to the Chinese, Chinese will drop containers of stocks, leave for China and NEVER return.
That was how emergency millionaires took over my end here.
Now everything is happening so fast, even the Chinese have SOJI, these evil merchants are also blaming change.
You need to see what they were doing with money when they were hitting the Chinese.
Most of them did not imagined that the game could be up, is this not the same with Nigeria as whole?.
I sneer at them now.

They're expecting the govt to come put food in their mouths.......same set of people that think MMM is heaven sent.

Their suffering will continue as long as they refuse to use their brains and wait for free meals from the govt.

They think protesting will suddenly make money flow into the economy.......ignorant people.

As long as the nation's revenue stays low, the hardship will remain even if Tuface and Style-plus organize the protest.

They're waiting for the Govt to come feed them but they'll end up in starvation.

GEJ is too shallow to impress me.

The difference between the result of his administration and the current one is the oil prices.

The silly GEJ would have sold us into slavery with him at the helm with this current oil price and his sympathetic stance with corruption.

Buhari isn't great and he's slow but I rejoice whenever I remember where we were heading to under GEJ.
