Ok sir

Madeincanada:
You are wrong BaaleofMontreal. I stand nothing to gain by lying on this platform. My initial post is my reality and I admonish all that are presently hibernating in other countries not to stay for 14 days. Delay is dangerous.

Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by BaaleofMontreal: 12:56pm On Dec 10, 2021
Ok sir

sparkletoy:
No one is forcing anyone to leave immediately. It's your choice if you decide to stay in a 3rd country for 2 weeks and how do you know the information is false since you don't know anyone who has arrived? IRCC has always said. Even when there was a total lockdown, foreign nationals still came to Canada. My post was not to mislead anyone but to encourage. More testimonials of students arriving would still emerge then you will blame yourself for staying in a 3rd country for 14 days after spending all your POF. Be smart and be wise.

This information is false.

Please if you're an international student coming from Nigeria, please stay in countries you go to first for minimum of 2 weeks before heading to Canada. It is explicitly stated by IRCC that only people that have not lived in one of banned countries for that last 14 days would be allowed in.

sparkletoy:

I want to encourage those still stuck in Nigeria
I am a PR holder in Canada and I equally know a student who just arrived
You don't have to spend days in Ghana
Leave Naija for Ghana or wherever you choose
Do your PCR test
Wait for the result to be out and negative
Book your flight to Canada and be confident
Quarantine on government purse is still free
I am sure they will soon review their Quarantine policy like they did in the past where you will need to pay almost 2k cad which is non-refundable.
CSBA can't send you back because you have right of entry which is your study visa
When filling arrivecan, your departure airport would be Ghana depending on your departure country, but you will be asked if you have visited any one the red list country, say yes and put Nigeria
Be truthful, you may be scrutinized on your study plans by immigration. For instance , you can be asked to login to your school account to proof you have made payment.
India students also explored this 3rd country option without the 14 days clause. Check youtube for videos on indirect route from India to Canada
Fear has no place in our lives
Take action now.
It will end in praise.

For room and board; put the estimate of your living expenses for a year, you can find an approximate for the province you're going to on cic website, For available funds; its the total amount of money you will have access to for the duration of your studies. NB: Funds available for stay should be greater than the combination of your tuition, room and board, and other expenses.

Good luck

Ed321:
Goodevening house. Please what do I fill in room and board and funds available for my stay ?

Thanks for your reply. Recently I saw another mistake in my IMM 1294 form. The question in the form that says; 'Have you ever you used another name before (nick name, birth name, Alias, maiden name, etc.?)'. I answered 'NO' when I should have answered 'YES' because the middle name on my birth certificate and the middle name on my passport and all other academic documents is different. Do you think the VO rejected my application under Subsection 16 (1) because of this mistake too?

I can't really state the reasons why the VO rejected your application, all I can advice as I stated earlier is for you to ensure you state ONLY the truth in your next application and expect a miracle. Go through your application several times before you submit to ensure you answered all the questions properly. There's a guide online that explain the meaning of the questions asked and examples of possible answer, I would advise you go through this guide thorough before you start your application and during your application.

Yes I was refused a USA visa before and I answered
'NO' in the IMM 1294 form. Please what would you
advice me to do when I reapplied? Do you think I have a chance of getting the visa in my next application?

quote author=lawmerchant post=46903870]
16 (1) "A person who makes an application must answer truthfully all questions put to them for the purpose of the examination and must produce a visa and all relevant evidence and documents that the officer reasonably requires."
Have you ever been refused visa to other countries or asked to leave another country? If so, did you indicate this fact in your application? Subsection 16(1) is used by VO when someone lies in his/her application. Cant really say to what extent this was the situation in your case.

You should have answered YES, Canada and US share immigration data as these two countries are very close to each other. All you have to do when you reapply is to ensure you state the truth ONLY in your application and hope a miracle happens as that's a big violation you've made in your previous application

I don't know about suya but gala is allowed, couple of friends bring it for me whenever they come

My travel transcript flight DL55 to ATL and DL5576 to Peoria, IL

I arrived at MMA international wing at about 3.30pm local time after our driver had taken us to the domestic wing unknowingly, he said he only knew the Oshodi axis entry into the airport, so we came in through Maryland, the “WE” is because I travelled with my Mum coincidently…lol, after several checks and oversized luggage thanks to mum, she ended paying for extra luggage not the official fee though ( naija things, she aint corrupt though), gave customs another 3k, she was well prepared for them , I just stood forming accompanist or personal trolley( all my elbows still dey pain me sef) , we left for boarding gate D44 where the delta DL55 was waiting for us, immigration was super slow, traffic was really high, we scaled through without any “wahala” lots of children and students heading back to school I couldn’t start of conversion with some, meet one girl ending to Connecticut, and three other in Syracuse college in NYC I guess, inflight entertainment was very cool, recent movies and music was loaded in the seat back screens, “get hard” was onboard fav for most of the passengers,11.00 was departure time 12 hours from lagos to Atlanta wasn’t boring though, landed at the world famous Jackson international airport 5.00 local time , I TRIP we dey learn for Nigeria GOD HAVE MERCY, POE was smooth ;

Customs officer: how are you doing?!
Me: am great
Customs; where are u from?
Me : Nigeria
Customs : where are you guys going ?!
ME: (my mum signed me to run the tape)….Peoria, she visiting her daughter so I want to accompany her but in 24 days I should be in school, he cuts in “ whose paying for your school” I answered “my cousin” customs officer : Nigerians you guys like huge families even your next door neighbor is family whosssh
Me: yeah we hold onto family values a lot
Customs officer: I know, four fingers please,
Customs officer: so mum your first visit?!
MUM: fourth visit in which I spent 6 months at each visit
Customs: y’all welcome to the states, he stamps
We headed to pick baggage claim, and headed to green folder for food products checking, met a one MR SEUN Fanioki working for customs , he helped us, and admonished me to further as much as I can gave me his number we then took a Train as in ATRAIN (o boi I trip die) to our connecting flight boarding gate, I met a biologist, I couldn’t collect number, (mum was in my face all the time) women are super friendly here, they would incite the conversation even you smile and look good, we took two cups of café au lait(a black girl at the café shop seems nice , she liked the fact I dressed in my full native attire) and even test ran my fidelity “one world” card while we waited for our flight, I took short stares at beautiful “amelika” girls white chicks are prettier, and akata are bootylicious since its was summer they worn crazy shorts chaiiiiiiiii, we got to peoria,IL at about 2 pm local time, lovely airport, CATAPILLAR showed they own the town right from the airport where my bro in law works,
Am in still in awe, I still can’t believe am here, shopping here is so cheap and easy, bought some cosmetics for a customer back in Nigeria I used a self pay machine at Walmart I TRIP
“Electronic gadgets, sex, cars, shopping is nothing here life is so easy here and extremely stressful but you would be good, you need to be very purposeful and have fun once in a while, as soon as you pay in your first year tuition be calm and study well to be in the good books your SSN would come smooth, its really good here”.,…my brother in law
Whatever you are coming to do in the states, just be prepared cos you are black and having an accent is already a setback but being super educated is the American dream for me and should be yours too, my nephew telling me network is slow while we were watching nolly tv through a Samsung smart TV, i laughed this one is over fast for me o cheesy

Congrats
