If they should vomit all the public funds that they have stolen there will be no need to increase VAT or any other taxes. They rob us blind through corruption and now they are getting ready to rob us blind through taxation. No way! It's time for change. |
megacity:Buhari has a better grasp of those issues than GEJ does. Jonathan is not a creative thinker and there is no evidence that he understands basic economics in any way, shape or form. Buhari as a former petroleum minister and chairman of PTF has probably had to deal with numbers far more than Jonathan has ever had to do. |
megacity:Gov. Fashola also had an F9 in maths. It didn't stop him from becoming a good and effective leader. A president is a leader of men not a technician. Buhari doesn't need maths to be a good president. He needs common sense and guts. |
Ikengawo:The statement of results was written by the current principal and released directly by the school not by Buhari. If you're so jobless, why not find another issue to whine about? I heard Buhari might not even be a citizen of Nigeria since his dad was from Niger Republic. |
BackDatAssUp:No. The statement "13 selected subjects" refers to the number of subjects selected by the author to include in the paper. Out of all the subjects available the author chose only those 13 to include in his analysis. It's actually very simple English. The %TNC figure means the percentage of total number of candidates and refers to the percentage of candidates who entered for that subject out of the total number of candidates for that year. This argument appears to be more emotional than logical from your point of view otherwise it should be very obvious to you by now. |
babadee1: HzRF:I found the original paper and reading through it there was no mention of any inclusion criteria which is not surprising since the paper was written so long ago. However, I noticed that the point of the paper was to discuss the trends and changes in secondary school curricula from the missionary days to about the mid 70s. This was how it described the table you copied: Table 3 shows the direction of enrolment of Nigerian candidates in 13 selected subjects, for 1961 and 1974. Meaning they only selected 13 subjects out of all the subjects offered by WAEC in the reported years. A more current paper would have had to explain why they selected those 13 subjects and left out the others, but we can only speculate. The bottom line is there were other courses offered in 1961 which were not included in that table. |
HzRF:I have to read the original paper first to see if they mentioned their inclusion criteria but the link you posted is not working. |
HzRF:Look you ignoramus, this is an academic paper. The first principle of analyzing data for papers like this is sufficient numbers. If not enough people took Hausa language in the exam, the researchers will not include it in their paper because that will affect their analysis. |
God please give these people brain, too much time on their hands but no sense. That is a journal article, the paper does not contain a comprehensive list of all the courses taken for WASC in 1961. They only list courses that they consider relevant. Why don't you write to WAEC and ask them if they offered Hausa language as an exam option in 1961? |
southwestngr:What nonsense is this one saying? What does WAEC result have to do with political change? Being president is not an academic post and requires no technical skills. Some of us backing Buhari for president have multiple advanced degrees and we know that has nothing to do with leadership. Evidence in point, they say Jonathan has a PhD but is he an effective president? Capital NO! |
Babymama1:It's still on their website, they haven't removed it. The picture doesn't have to be posted on every single story that has to do with the certificate. If they doubt the authenticity they would have posted a retraction explaining their doubts. Now that the certificate is out let us all work together to make change in our country a reality. GMB 2015. |
Babymama1:I clicked on the link and it is still working. Maybe you need to check your online settings. |
It is past time for President Jonathan to produce his assets declaration form. When asked, this same man refused to declare his assets publicly in 2007 and again in 2011. Now Nigerians must not allow him to get away with the same tricks in 2015. It is time for us to hold our leaders accountable to us. |
Balkan:@OP. Yes the names are one, Mohammed and Muhammadu are the same names with different spelling. Hope you are happy now. |
Lol! Lobatan! See commitment o. |
Aksonman:You're the one hoaxing yourself. Where you're seeing A1 is actually a vertical dash meaning he didn't take those subjects. He only took eight subjects and the explanation of the grades is written in the far right column. |
macklef:Only seven students wrote the exam at his centre that year, it's in the Cambridge results master list. My guy you're trying too hard, just let the matter rest. There are so many other things to talk about. |
kayciano:You are not very smart if you have to ask that question. The constitutional requirement to run for president is a school leaving certificate or its equivalent. He is not applying to be a lawyer, a professor or a doctor. By the way, many of us who are qualified professionals support him because we see his leadership qualities and integrity. That is more than any certificate or academic qualification in this world. |
gbolsng:Lol! Why, just because you are not happy? You be INEC? My guy if this one no do you abeg go drink Gamalin 20. |
EUROBOMBER:Lol, your own case don pass that of doubting Thomas. Nobody can help your matter again. |
gbolsng:Don't be silly. Cambridge University sent a print out to confirm the results, that is what the statement of results was based on. They were the ones conducting O-level exams for Nigeria in those days. |
customized13:Read the article again. The Cambridge University print out also confirms the statement of results, do you dare to accuse Cambridge of forgery? They conducted Nigeria's O-level exams back in those days. If this release is not enough for you then nothing will ever satisfy you or your types. Good day. |
Kassidy4luv:Don't worry my guy, you will get over it. |
customized13:You must be a child if you think your math grade in WAEC makes you more qualified to be president than General Buhari. |
nwafuluozoh:He was qualified all along, even without the WASC certificate, read the 1999 constitution on eligibility to run for president. Basically as long as INEC is satisfied that you are educated enough then you are qualified. You useless noise makers just wanted to make life difficult for him and you have all failed. |
temitemi1:The print out of the results came from Cambridge University abeg let it cure your madness. |
nwafuluozoh:Nonsense. Shame dey catch you now ba? Fooling yourself all this while for PDP. |
enzony:Lies and propaganda are what you typed up in your post my friend. Are you saying that the economy became the biggest in Africa under Jonathan? You don't seem to understand what the rebasing exercise was. Nothing changed except for how the GDP of Nigeria is calculated on paper. Largest economy on paper is meaningless if there are not enough jobs that pay well, if the naira is being devalued every day, if the income inequality gap is widening and the level of poverty continues to increase. Those are the things that matter to ordinary Nigerians. The government cannot claim credit for the work of the private sector. Jonathan is not responsible for everything good you see in the economy. I'll say this much, of the three major issues in this election he has done best on the economy. On national security and the fight against corruption he has been completely asleep at the wheel. |
PapaBrowne:You must be joking! Jonathan is the one playing the religion card in this election. If he converted to Islam do you think he would still stand a chance to win? That's the question you should be asking. |
nofij:Jonathan has been a disaster for the economy. But he's not the one running the economy Okonjo-Iweala is. If both Jonathan and Buhari are two evils then Buhari is the lesser evil. |
