Viraltrends123:
So, you are one of those that believe children and aborted babies won't go to heaven. Because they didn't accept Christ

Please read this part of my statement again.

Sin doesn't have any power over us until we are old enough to understand the commandments of God and we choose to disobey. It's not complicated.

Now after reading this what do you not understand please?
Religion / Re: Why There Are No Aborted Or Dead Babies In Hell by babadee1(m): 11:07am On Nov 28, 2021
Viraltrends123:
The main thing here is accepting Christ to get to heaven, you now believe it's not important isn't it. Because, it's believed we are all born sinners, when we accept Christ, we wash away the sins, and go to heaven when we die sinless. So, someone who did not accept Christ as a child (below 5), and die, will go to heaven. What about a Chinese guy who died at the age of 10, sinless, without accepting Christ.

I just want to know if accepting Christ is 0% important to adults to go to heaven, as it is for children. I'm glad you believe babies born sins cannot take them to hell

The Bible says in John 14:6, "Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Nobody can enter heaven without going through Jesus whether a child or an adult. Jesus Christ is the only way to God.
There's nothing confusing about this issue. Sin separates us from God so that we cannot enter His presence. Jesus is the only one who can set us free from sin and join us back to God and His presence. Sin doesn't have any power over us until we are old enough to understand the commandments of God and we choose to disobey. It's not complicated.
Religion / Re: Why There Are No Aborted Or Dead Babies In Hell by babadee1(m): 10:52am On Nov 28, 2021
Viraltrends123:
you statement is contradictory, do you believe babies are born sinners!

The Bible says, "All have sinned have fallen short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23)
The Bible also says, "I was once alive apart from the Law; but when the commandment came, sin came to life, and I died." (Romans 7:9)
The Bible is very clear on this matter. We are all born sinners but sin has no effect on us until we grow up enough to understand the commandments of God and then we make the choice to disobey. That is when sin begins to produce death and separation from God.

He is trying to understand the believe that children and aborted babies are all going to hell. Do you believe that too?

No I don't believe that. Children go to heaven. Nobody becomes a candidate of hell until they have passed the age of accountability.

So what age do humans start qualifying for heaven/hell?

It's called the age of accountability. There is no specific age but it's when you start to know right from wrong and you consistently choose to do wrong. It differs from person to person.
Religion / Re: How Can I Pay My Tithe Without Going To Church? by babadee1(m): 9:49am On Nov 28, 2021
Frenzy01:
I'm at a crossroad. I feel like I should start taking responsibilities by paying my tithes from the little I have now but the problem is I'm not a church type. It's been over 2 years that I last went to a church cos of some personal reasons and convictions.

Now, how do I take care of my responsibilities as a Christian(I still see myself as a Christian, just that some of the things been done in the church today doesn't sit well with me).
How do I pay my tithe without going to church

If you don't go to church then there's no point paying your tithes to the church. The essence of paying tithes to church is to materially invest in and sustain the ministry where you're being fed and maintained spiritually. If you don't have a church please keep your tithes or pay it to the less privileged, beggars and orphans.

EkehPraise:
The rate at which married women are becoming so unfaithful is soo unfair and scary. I work in a 5 star hotel and it's so frightening that 4 out of every 10 guest that lodges in our hotel is a married young woman accompanied by either another man who is old enough to be her grandfather or a small boy old enough to be her kid brother or son angry angry

Magun is a charm that originates from the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria. It literally means "do not climb." Magun has been used for centuries to catch a wife who has an extra-marital affair or to put a promiscuous woman in check. ...the woman and her lover will stick like glue during the process of sex if she has crossed a Broom or touched a substance laced with Magun charms until her husband comes or they are caught.

At least this should bring back some sanity and faithfulness and keep those who are not ready to settle down away from taking vows they will not keep...

What about married men? Is there any magun for them? Cos they're definitely worse than the women.

Sirlancelot:
I won't bother you guys much. I married my woman last year June during the lockdown. Things were rosy for us as a young couple till we brought in a girl of 15 years from my wife's family to stay with us in order to help my wife with house chores and other things during the time she is heavily pregnant.

Mind you, from day one I have been dating my wife, this girl has been on my neck, telling me how she will come stay with me in Lagos if I get married to her sister. That would be my greatest undoing as I grudgingly obliged after many persuasion from her Mother as well. After my marriage, she came over to Lagos to join us.

Now, she is very useless to me. She will go to school from 7am to 5pm. After coming back from school, she will take another excuse to go for evening church and come back by 8pm. No help in doing house chores. COOKING, she no sabi.. My turn off about her now is that she can eat for Africa. The little provision I manage stock at home don't go anywhere now.

The last straw that break the camel back is that she always steals my babies food, like milk, biscuits etc.

My wife is in dicey situation because she once lived with the girl's mother for like 15 years back then, and such can't just pursue her away like plague.

Right now I am fighting the urge and anger to mess her up. I have advised her on numerous occasions but it seems she can not learn easily except with hard handling. Everything bad about human traits, she has it; Lies, false swearing and the likes.

Mature minded people in the house, if you are in my shoes, what would you do?

My friend, be a man. Call the girl's mother personally and report her. Explain all the problems and difficulties you're facing because of the girl and tell her mother that if the situation doesn't change within three months you will be forced to send her back. Your wife can't help with this cos she's so indebted to the family but you are not.

Good evening all I’m gonna make this very brief plz I need help

Someone stole my phone this morning and within 3hrs i opened my bank app only to realize they’ve taken over 180k from my account with the bank description of “intrabank charges”

I called UBA immediately and still went to their branch they got my account frozen with the account where the money was transferred to because it’s also a UBA account

I’ve written the letter they asked me to write and they said they’ll get back to me within 5 working days

Now since there’s a valid recipient account where the money was transferred to is there no way I can catch the culprit with help of the police? My iPhone 11promax of barely 6months gone with money

I had to call MTN too to block my SIM

Please is it possible to get the person tracked and arrested

Modes please move to front page Lemme know my next action thanks

NB: both my account and fraudsters account where he sent the money to has been frozen by UBA because we use same bank

Once your phone is stolen pls freeze your account immediately. Within an hour the thief can empty your account. Yours even took three hours.

Family / Re: Her Parents Sponsored Our Wedding, Should I Be Worried. by babadee1(m): 6:14pm On Nov 14, 2021
Tonero5200:
Hi.

Honestly speaking am really worried, have dated my fiance for sometime now. So we finally decided to tie the knot.
She suggested we do it this year November and I concurred, so we've been saving towards it ever since.

Last 2 months I made my intentions known to her family, that I will like to marry their daughter. Due to the conversations I had With her parents, I told them I wanted it small.. because am not financialy buoyant.

But To my surprise, her dad said I shouldn't worry about it, they are going to support me ( which is most likely Normal)

(They gave me traditional rite's, which I sorted out by myself)

With the traditional right drawing close, last month I learnt from my fiancee..her parents are planning to buy 2 cow for the traditional and white wedding. (I was surprised)

The following week, the hall she choosed for the reception of the white wedding, has already been paid for by her dad which was about 500k excluding the decorations which they also took care of ( even though I opted we could have done the reception in the church)

But my fiancee told me her dad is inviting alot of well-wishers home and abroad to come celebrate with us.both his fellow staffs and all.

* I bought 2 bag of rice and groundnut oils

* We paid for the cakes

* We paid for drinks

* We sorted things out (invitation cards, pre shoot photos)

But was surprised 2 days to the traditional marriage, more expensive drinks were rolling in.

On the d day of the white wedding, I realised, they cooked more than 8 bags of rice ( coconut, jollof, banga and fried) meats were surplused.
Alot of people came from her family's, while my own families were just there.. they did get the message.

Someone even said it to my mom face. THAT THIS GIRL PAPA TRY O.

please, I don't want to sound like am a bad person or I don't know good.
Offcus I appreciate her parents efforts, but am just a little bit worried.

As a man, won't this come to haunt me in the future?

It is their duty to sponsor their daughter's wedding to their own tastes. Honestly this matter no concern you at all. Na after the wedding your own responsibility go start and if they start trying to interfere with your marriage after the wedding that's when you have a right to complain. Regarding the wedding that day belongs to the bride and her family not to you. Chikena.

Annabelle12344:
I just created this account to post this.
I'm really Disturbed.

My wedding is approaching and I'm so excited about it.
Before I met my husband to be, there's this married man I know. Right from day one he told me who was married but his family based in a different state. I told him I'm single and I can't marry a married man nor date a married man. We both laughed about it.

Years passed, he became so close to my family and everybody around me. He comes to my house, gist with my mum, siblings and my family members are very accommodating.
I had my boyfriend whom everyone knows, that I have nothing with this man.
he support me financially some times. I have been helpful as well in my own ways. most times, I helped him out with cooking, even followed him to supper market to pick beautiful clothes (wears) for his wife and children. I have known this man for about 4 yrs now, but never have I had intimat.e relationship with him. He's like a big brother to me although he deeply loved me and have asked me out severally, but i have never involved myself with him s.exuallly.

This man have been so good to me, but now, I want to get married and he's so angry with me, he appears so hurt and heartbroken. He's behaving as if I betray his love. He's acting as if nothing mean anything to him any more. He almost lost his job last week due to lack of concentration. He takes his job carelessly now,

How can I help him heal emotionally, without distracting my own marriage?

Is ignoring him at this point the best option?

How should I handle this? Pls advice

Run for your life! Just turn around and run away from him as far as possible otherwise you will end up cheating on your husband with him in the future.

My trad marriage is on the 27 of this month I still have had no courage to tell him about my 3 other children. I am pregnant I am scared he will leave me if he find out that I have 3 other children, I love him so much he is my everything on earth and I am scared to loose him. I don't want to end up single with 5 children. But sometime I feel sad I cry at night and I just don't know what to do because the guilt is so much.

It's totally unfair to him to even contemplate getting married without telling him you have three other children. This is marriage under false pretenses and it's a form of fraud legally. When he finds out he will get an annulment of the marriage not even a divorce. An annulment means the marriage never even happened because you lied.

Religion / Re: Can Someone Who Is Born Again Not Know The Date He Or She Was Born Again? by babadee1(m): 10:14am On Nov 07, 2021
cutecommend:
Many people know the actually date they were born again. But for someone who don't know the actual date, but can remember the encounter, should we put such people aside?. Knowing the actual date of ones salvation is not a compulsory proof of salvation but it's essential . If I may ask? Those very uneducated people who got born again in the villages those early days, do they remember dates? or do they even know about dates? Someone may know the period he or she got born again, or may know the encounters and scenarios, but may not know the actual date. A proof of salvation is a change of life in which others can see the crystal clear evidence of Christ's nature in you....

If you are very sure you are saved, and can remember the year, month, scenarios and encounter, but cannot remember the actual date, don't think you are not saved if someone says you must compulsorily know the actual date.

Knowing the actual date of salvation is a very good job thing. It is good for references and accountability of ones progress in faith. But it is not a compulsory proof of salvation. The only compulsory proof of salvation is a clear change of ways; not doing the sinful things you did before; all by the enabling power of Jesus Christ in you after accepting Him.

Happy Sunday.

I don't think anyone anywhere has ever said you must know the actual date. Such a thing is not realistic.
Health / Re: The Doctors Want To Amputate My Mum's Leg. Advice Needed by babadee1(m): 10:37pm On Nov 05, 2021
Spark2:
Hello NL.
I'm going to keep this brief.

It started three weeks ago. my mum, who was walking normal with no problem suddenly could not walk. Her left leg began paining her severely that day. My mum was all in tears... She was rushed to the hospital where it was discovered that her sugar level was on the high side. The hospital gave drugs which stabilised it, at that point my mum was very weak, couldn't eat, each time she eat she throws up and also had some pain in the leg still. After a week in the hospital, we were then referred to a teaching hospital after a test showed that creatinine in her kidney was high.

The teaching hospital tried their best and I can say my mum is now okay. Except for the left leg. She can't still walk on it, the leg feels cold to touch with a little discolouration above the foot.

Doppler test showed that blood isn't really flowing through the leg. And they said they will need to amputate the leg to prevent the infection from growing to the other parts of the body.

Please I want to know if you know anyone who had similar condition and amputation was recommended but was later healed without need for amputation.

Please share your recommendations. I need my mum now more than before in my life. We are confused on whether to allow them to go on with the amputation or seek other alternatives.

Thank you very much.

Pls note that as at now, her sugar level, creatinine and other things are normal.

Your mum is diabetic but she has obviously not been taking care of the diabetes issue. One of the major complications of diabetes can be poor wound healing in the legs which can lead to severe infection and eventually gangrene. It seems the doctors think her foot may already be gangrenous. You guys can get a second opinion from another hospital if you want but if she has gangrene then there's no other option but to amputate.

Do you agree?

I am watching a series and in one of the episodes a couple goes to see a marriage counselor. She tells them that marriage is not about unconditional love but an agreement to show up the best we can. It is meant to challenge each spouse to bring out the best in them.

How useful is this kind of advice?

There are two kinds of marriage. The God kind of marriage based on unconditional love, and the human kind of marriage based on what you can get out of each other. You choose the one you want.

Afodot0022:
Good day my fellow nairalanders. Pls pardon my typo errors and will just make this brief as i can. I need your inputs in this scenerio that is giving me some sort of concern.

I have been married for close to five years now and have two kids to it. My marriage to my wife has been ups and down but have always tried my best to be a responsible husband and also father. I ensure I take care of my home financially to my capabilities.

My wife happens to be a good wife though with her own flaws as she is not perfect. She always has the notion that am cheating on her and have a side chick. But to be honest to you guys, i have never had sex with any other woman except my wife ever since i married her. Though at times the temptation might come to catch some flings out there but will later decline such thought and abort any action have made to do it on the long run.. At times my wife will read chats I do have with some random girls and have the notion that am cheating. I know i have been wrong in this but attimes a man will want to be a man but as i said earlier, have never had sex with those girls. Just random chats that all and it doesnt go further or lead anywhere.

So it happened that me and my wife had a very serious misunderstanding recently that resulted to verbal abuse and also almost physical violence from the two of us. The last time i intended to have sex with my wife, she denied me and this had been in my mind and got me so angry towards her. So it happend that she needed my help for something and did not help, she started shouting and nagging and this got me angry and i almost hit her but i didn't. During those heated moment she started saying things about my cheating and so on. She said if am not cheating that i should swear with bible but i refuse to swear that night. Upon the following day i decided to even swear with bible that i have never had sex with any woman ever sinced i married her. I know i was innocent and i truely swear that very day to make her change her mindset and perception about me.

After the swear, something happened that makes me confused till this very day, I ask my wife to also use the Bible to swear that she had not cheated or slept with any man ever since she got married to me. Could you imagine that despite all my efforts to make my wife to swear using the bible, she refused bluntly that she will never do such. I asked her why but she insisted she is not going to swear.

This got me concerned and was asking myself why is this woman refusing to do this if truely she is innocent and doesnt have any skeleton in her compound. Her excuse was that she cant use the world of God to swear but mind you she is the one that prompted me to do such at first. I even seized her phone that if she doesnt swear i wont return the phone to her but despite my threat, my wife didn't not.

This lasted for hours and I later gave up on the quest. Ever since then have not being myself and have been thinking alot. My wife doesnt look like someone that can cheat on me cos have not seen any traces as such but with this her action, its making me to have a rethink about her.

Pls house i dont know what step to take as i need your mature advice on way forward on this issues troubling me. Every input will be well appreciated especially from married and experienced people.
Religion / Re: Which Is More Potent? Fasting Or Midnight Prayers? by babadee1(m): 11:09am On Oct 17, 2021
jesusjnr2020:
Which Is More Potent? Fasting Or Midnight Prayers?

In my spiritual life, fasting has proven itself to be by far more potent and powerful, even though i still observe both.

A times I may be doing midnight prayers for months, but certain things I pray for wouldn't materialize.

But once I just fast for a little while, immediately the solution would just come out of nowhere as though it's been waiting for me to fast.

This has happened on several occasions that it's made me to take serious notice, and to begin to rate it more than midnight prayers, even though I also receive a lot of answers from prayers, because fasting seems to have a significant edge over it.

I first noticed how effective it was when during my fasting at a point when I was still struggling with sexual lusts, how the inclination just seemed to disappear during the period I was fasting, it felt really strange because this was something that I found very difficult to contain regardless of how much I prayed and when I prayed.

Even when it comes to dealing with those of the powers of darkness, fasting has shown itself to be more much powerful than midnight prayers.

For instance, despite that i had been told I had been given authority over the demons, there were yet some NL witches that were proving very stubborn even after and when I did midnight prayers. But once I just fast, the way they suddenly go into hiding is mind blowing. I mean they literally disappear for a long time and only come out after a while.

This is perhaps the reason Jesus said that there are some kind of demons that cannot come out without fasting. Mark 9:29 (KJV)

I don't know about you, but fasting has proven itself to be a very effective and useful weapon in my spiritual life, that even things I thought were impossible and beyond my reach, it helped me to achieve. It seems to speed up the process of my getting solutions and answers.

I recommend fasting to you, even if you do midnight prayers. It may provide the much needed boost your spiritual life has been crying out for.

God bless.

Each of those tools have their own role. You seem to be assuming that they both do the same thing. Not so at all. Spiritual discernment is the key.

David was abysmal over his children.
Pray to God to be good parent that will not cause your children to err to God!

Everybody is responsible to God as individuals for their own personal choices. The fathers are not responsible for the sins of their children, and the children are not responsible for the sins of their fathers.
