idumuose:Yes, that "medical report" from Ahmadu Bello Teaching Hospital which doesn't even exist. PDP is facing real opposition for the first time and they are playing the game like rank amateurs. |
tomakint:The reason Jonathan won in the South West in 2011 is because he cut a deal with Tinubu behind the scenes. ACN pretty much abandoned Ribadu during that election and supported Jonathan to win. This time around all hands are on deck for Buhari to win in the South West. |
stebell:Take out SW and MB from that list. GEJ will win in SS and SE. Buhari will win in every other region. Rigging the elections will not be tolerated this time. |
masterpower:Abusing the president is not a crime please! We Nigerians have every right to abuse our leaders if we want. They are men like us not gods. |
elbinmanny:So you're admitting that the medical report is fake. Good to know. |
ceejayluv:Critical thinking only works in an unbiased mind. You are biased in favour of GEJ already so you won't even appreciate any facts that contradict your political opinion since your mind is already made up. When a politician claims to have accomplished a feat an objective person is supposed to ask two questions. Firstly; where is the evidence that this accomplishment actually happened? Anybody can put together glossy fliers and throw numbers around. That is not evidence. Secondly; even if the accomplishment happened, where is the evidence that the politician actually contributed anything to it? Anybody can claim the good work of another person to be theirs. Not everything good that happened under GEJ was because of GEJ. Also how can he be claiming projects that are still under construction as accomplishments in a country where we know that many projects are abandoned halfway? Only a fool will fall for that. I'll give you three examples of glaring lies in those infographics. 1. Life expectancy was 41 years before Jonathan and is now 52 years. LIE There is no way life expectancy can increase a total of 11 years over a five year period. The idea alone is laughable and whoever wrote that obviously believes that Nigerians are complete fools. From the World Bank database; Nigeria's life expectancy was 51 in 2004 and it was 52 in 2014. An increase of one year of life expectancy over a ten year period. 2. Increased oil production from 700,000 bpd to the current 2,300,000 bpd. LIE It is true that Nigeria's current daily crude oil output is about 2,300,000 bpd, but in 2010 when GEJ was sworn in as the president the daily crude oil output was officially 2,500,000. In other words, there has been a slight reduction in oil production under GEJ and not a dramatic increase. 3. He transformed the economy of Nigeria into the largest economy in Africa with a GDP of 510 billion dollars. LIE The Nigerian economy underwent a rebasing exercise in 2014 and on paper the size of the Nigerian economy in terms of GDP exploded. However, before that the base year used for calculating the GDP was from 1990. That means that in real terms GEJ is not responsible for any actual increase in the country's economy. They just changed the way the GDP was being calculated because the previous method was outdated and a revision was long overdue. It is good that the economy was rebased, but that just means our economy has grown a lot since 1990 when IBB was the head of state not GEJ. Improvements in ICT began long before GEJ became president, at this point the industry is almost completely private sector driven. The current government cannot take credit for that. The ball was set rolling a long time ago. Likewise improvements in the automobile industry are also largely private sector driven. In spite of the challenges caused by inadequate power supply, indigenous and foreign private automobile companies are starting to flourish in the Nigerian market. This was not because of GEJ but in spite of him. I'm not saying GEJ has not done anything worthwhile, but if we stick to only what he has actually accomplished those infographics will be very lean. vanbonattel:Classic excuse: "The other side does it too so I don't care." At least you have admitted that you don't really believe the president's lies, you just hate Buhari more. |
ZUBY77:Don't fool yourself. Vote GEJ if you want to but don't pretend that you believe the lies. |
OP, I hope you know that using official government documents to forge a fake report is a serious criminal offense. |
Chei! These people can lie! Some more photoshop achievements on display. |
aspirebig:Don't waste your time. Christians are not falling for this propaganda anymore. It's not working this time. |
So basically Jonathan is admitting that he did not actually win the last election. |
There needs to be an IQ test before people are allowed to vote. Democracy is wasted on people who think like the OP. |
Crowd or no crowd Jonathan can never win in Kano. |
I didn't see the thread about the APC ward leader who was killed in Rivers State last week on the front page. |
My people come and see PDP's issue based campaign o! Who on this board has never made minor errors while filling out a form? Even if the facts claimed are true, this thread is a complete waste of time and adds nothing to the political discourse. |
Oby is telling the truth on this one. This president is being manipulated by some people who don't have his interests at heart. |
maxdozie:No. Everybody wants Goodluck out! |
If this is the worst thing that you people can dig up against Buhari then the man has already won. Nothing in the report says that he stole any money. Let's go and dig up all the reports of corruption allegations done under Jonathan's regime and compare side by side. |
This is so selfish of this man. Just before elections when you are about to lose you go on a fishing expedition for votes in the North. It's too late Uncle Jona. |
I don't think ever in Nigerian history has a politician been as maligned and as slandered as this man Buhari. Even the way he fills his form is now a scandal. Makes me wonder what these PDP people are really afraid of. |
I'm a Christian, born again, bible believing and I am 100% for Buhari. In fact my faith in God is the main reason why I can never support Jonathan. That man has no truth in him and lacks the courage of his convictions. He is not an example of good leadership. |
MusaIbrahim1:Lagos is a state not a city. And not every opinion expressed by one politician belongs to the whole party. Fashola said it not APC. |
nationwide1:The same Ekwueme has now rejected Jonathan. Same thing for Tunde Thompson and Lawal Ojuolape's son. All of these Nigerians were very much wronged by Buhari but they now support him because they see the option of Jonathan continuing as a great disaster for the country which they love more than themselves. |
imoleay0:Military rule is very different from civilian rule. Nigerians had no control over their government in those times. Limit your focus to heads of state since 1999. *Chief Olusegun Obasanjo- South West - 8 years *Alhaji Umaru Yar'Adua- North West - 2 years *Dr Goodluck Jonathan- South South - 6 years South: 14 years, North: 2 years I think this is a more accurate presentation of the facts. |
The man is a beneficiary of GEJ's government, his opinion is skewed. |
Shameless use of our military to score cheap political points. Those men know who and who is on their side and their C in C is not! Going to visit them now during election campaigns when he has only a few months left in his tenure is worse than not going at all. |
onatisi:This certificate issue reminds me of Obama's birth certificate matter in America. People were saying exactly the same thing there but his biggest political enemies were silent, you know why? Because they knew they would be embarrassed if they pursued the matter. GMB has the minimum educational requirement to run for president, if not PDP would have taken him to court by now. |
The bottom line on this Buhari certificate issue is that INEC is satisfied that he has the required qualifications. Anybody who is not happy with it should take Buhari and INEC to court sharp sharp. What are they even waiting for sef? |
courage54:Wow. I love this, so inspiring. Thank you for this post. |
Buhari attended the last presidential debate. It was Jonathan that refused to show up. Later he organized his own debate where he was just talking to himself alone in front of the cameras. |
