Every Sunday na different church. After losing the upcoming elections in February he will go back to Olumba Olumba. |
This is why I can never support PDP again. All this campaigning of lies and destruction. This fake Twitter account has changed profile pictures three times now. Every time someone points out that the picture is fake it gets changed. God will punish whoever is behind this Twitter account. |
billante:If it was really a listening government they would have scrapped the proposal entirely instead of postponing it until after the election. This is obviously nothing more than a political gimmick and it won't work. |
knowledgeable:This is a nonsensical statement. So we shouldn't vote Jonathan out because of your transitional gap theory? What if this was his second term? When will you GEJ supporters start to campaign for your man based on his achievements after six years of ruling and leave all these excuses alone? Hasn't he done enough to campaign on since all this time? |
Highest investment in education in two decades yet students are failing WAEC and NECO like no man's business. Public education is almost pointless nowadays, home schooling the kids might be the best way to go. |
tit:Lol! If we are so few then why are you PDP trolls stressing yourselves here on Nairaland? Let's wait till February then you will see how hopeless your cause is campaigning for GEJ. A man that has been president for six years yet cannot command real respect anywhere in the country. His wife is more respected than he is. Anybody supporting Jonathan is either benefiting from him directly or doing so out of sentiments. I support Buhari because I respect him, he is a man of principles and he knows that ordinary stealing is also corruption. |
tit:It is only dark side to you because you are in the darkness and you love lies more than truth. If it is wrong for a Christian to be a running mate to a Muslim then it must also be wrong for a Christian to work under a Muslim in any professional capacity abi? By the way, Nigeria is not his father's house. Nigeria belongs to all of us, every single tribe equally so you can't accuse him of selling out based on useless tribal or religious sentiments. |
This foolishness needs to stop. Because you never saw a picture of him catering to the downtrodden before now doesn't mean that he never did it before. Besides, he is not caring for the downtrodden in those pictures as you suggested, instead he is campaigning for votes and raising awareness for his political ambition in the forthcoming elections. He is not only a pastor or a prof, he is also a politician. Stop criticizing Osinbajo for doing his job as a politician. A man is allowed to have many sides to him. |
I don't know why people are making noise about this obviously fake rumour where not even one credible source is mentioned. Let's even play along and say it's true. Isn't that how GEJ became president? I think Prof. Yemi Osinbajo will be a better replacement president than GEJ turned out to be any day any time. |
GEJ has no plan for Nigeria. The man is asking us to vote for him so that he can become the longest ruler in the history of Nigeria. He wants to be the longest sitting president/head of state, sitting down in Aso Rock doing nothing. Corruption, terrorism, economic downturn have all become much worse under Goodluck, still no sign of leadership from him. Now he's begging for another term. To do what na? |
Anybody who means well for Nigeria will never visit IBB for political support. If you mean well for Nigeria vote for somebody who knows that stealing is most definitely corruption. Sai Buhari. |
Vote Buhari! No going back on change in 2015. |
#GMB |
If Buhari really wanted to Islamize Nigeria he would have done it a long time ago as military head of state, not now under the democratic era. How exactly would that work? Will he send a bill to the National Assembly to vote on that Ngeria should be under sharia law? And after that will two-thirds of all the state houses of assembly in the country ratify that vote? People need to think these things through before they talk. This so called bishop is just another rabble rouser. |
You are obviously a religious bigot and also a very poor Christian, assuming you claim to be one. Fashola is a Muslim but nobody can deny that he is a great administrator. Can you say the same about Jonathan? Read Isaiah 45. God can use anybody He likes, even someone who doesn't know God to fulfill His own purpose. Please get wise and leave your hatred of Muslims aside, the issue worrying this country is corruption not Muslims. |
It's better to have a small economy that benefits everyone than to have the largest economy that benefits only a few millionaires and billionaires and leaves out the common man. Jonathan is right about only one thing, his administration has made a few people very rich. Everybody else has been screwed over. Largest African economy means nothing if the poverty rate is not going down and the standard of living is not going up. |
What is the point of arguing about who is literate and who is semi-literate? In which presidential election has that ever been an issue? Buhari is qualified to run for president according the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, that is all that matters. Is this the issue based campaign that PDP talked about? A party that has been in power for 16 years and a president that has been in office for six years but cannot run solely on their own accomplishments. PDP has absolutely nothing new to offer. If you want Nigeria to continue on the path it is going now vote for Jonathan. If you would like to try something new for a change vote for Buhari. That is all. |
The worthless degree that GEJ claims to have, what has he done with it? |
If oil revenues are no longer reliable then Nigerian govt will turn to more borrowing and increasing taxes rather than reducing waste and corruption. Believe me our politicians will never tighten their belts. They will rather tighten your own, my own and that of our children. |
tit:This makes no sense at all. The naira is weaker only relative to foreign currencies, so that cannot affect the cost of producing goods or doing business in Nigeria. It can only affect the balance of trade, it makes it cheaper for foreigners to buy Nigerian goods and more expensive for Nigerians to import foreign goods. If Nigeria had a huge manufacturing base and export market already then a weaker naira might make sense but that is not the case, we are an import economy. |
Another Ajaokuta steel mill white elephant project. This high speed rail thing will never happen as long as PDP is in power. Empty promises since 1999. Some of us are sick and tired of being taken for a ride. |
You sef what are you waiting for? Take anoda girl out and let her know about it. chikena |
Shameless woman, you better go find your own husband. |
Guy you're not short. Nothing do you. |
Dana plane that crashed in Lagos allegedly was distressed for a while but could not make an emergency landing because the airspace was closed for 2 hours for the Presidential Jet carrying Dame Patience Goodluck Jonathan." Private jet owners who had to hover in the air same time leaked this. This was apparently the reason local news didn't report the crash for so long till CNN and foreign news stations started reporting it. Local news was 'blacked out' trying to kill the story of the airspace being closed while a distressed plane couldn't land. It would be shocking if so. Though there was engine failure there was still time for the plane to have landed apparently. You do know anyway that the airspace is closed for up to 2hours each time the Presidential Jet needs to go into the air? 2 hours for a 15minute take off or landing! And this jet is used by President, VP, President's wife and if I recall David Mark. It's almost a daily occurrence I've been told by airline staff when it caught me out on a trip. The truth remains that the President's wife was actually in Lagos to attend the christening of their personal assistant's child at the Oriental hotel, Lekki. Anyone living on the Lekki axis saw first hand the horrendous traffic caused by the president's wife's visit and confirmed reports from airport staff who volunteered information, collaborated this fact, that the Lagos airport was actually shut for 2 hours, about the same time the ill fated Dana Plane crashed. This also strongly explains the reason why Aero contractor airplane could not depart Abuja for Lagos at 3:40pm because of the closure of the Lagos airport. This is bad and one can only imagine the deep sorrow ad-infinitum (without limit) that the families of these unfortunate Nigerians and other nationals are currently plagued into. Yes we have to and yes we can; beginning from our immediate homes and While we pray for the repose of the souls of the departed, we need as a nation to thoroughly do some deep communities. with time this will snowball into our National consciousness. For how long are we going to sacrifice the lives of our dear brothers and sisters and by extension mortgage the future of their/our children, just for the comfort of our leaders? For a 15 minutes ritual of plane take-off, an airport was shut for 2 hours because our "DEAR FIRST LADY" was scheduled to return to Abuja. OH merciful God, help Nigeria in Distress!'' Nigerians need to know what happened? who closed the airstrip for two hours on Sunday June 3,2012? http://news2.onlinenigeria.com/index.php?news=168199 |
Lol! I can't believe that some people can fall for this obvious fake publication. The part about Sheik Gumi bringing them messages from Abdul Muttalab in the United States is a dead give away. |
Communism is retarded, it doesn't work. No country where it has been implemented as the major economic system has enjoyed lasting prosperity, that is why there are no purely communist countries anymore. Russia, China even Cuba are all trending towards capitalism, only North Korea holds tenaciously to the old ways. If it clearly has not worked in the countries that have previously tried it, why on earth would Nigeria even consider it? |
jerryben12:Lol! Was the white man colonized for 100 years by Yoruba people? The main reason Africans speak English and French is because of European colonization not by choice. You're comparing apples to oranges. |
This is arrant nonsense and the people praising GEJ on this thread should be ashamed of themselves. When are we as Nigerians going to stop celebrating mediocrity and start valuing our rights as citizens? Are free and fair elections a privilege in a democracy or a right? Isn't that where true nation building starts from? If GEJ loses the presidential election and hands over peacefully with no fuss maybe we can start to evaluate him then. As of now, it's not over till it's over, infact it's just starting. Nigerians who continue to brave the odds to cast and defend their votes against threats, violence and intimidation are the ones who should be celebrated. They are the true heroes. |
Look, love or hate Madueke, the medical fact is that appendectomy in a 20 year old and a 50 year old are vastly different. You don't have to agree with me politically to agree with me medically? @ naijaking1; You don't know what you're talking about my friend. How exactly is appendectomy in a 20 year old and a 50 year old vastly different? |
For goodness sakes! How can anybody see this story as a negative for Buhari? In my opinion it shows that he is principled and sticks with the people he himself has chosen. How is he supposed to trust OBJ? How does he know that this proposal was not a plan by the PDP to destabilize his campaign? Buhari is the only serious candidate in this election who is his own man. GEJ has a godfather in OBJ. Tinubu is Ribadu's godfather. If you vote for either of those two just know that your vote is going to either OBJ or Tinubu. Buhari is the only one of the lot who will not be manipulated by outside forces. |
R.I.P Busayo Awomolo. I never knew you but in your short time here on earth you clearly touched many lives. You will be missed. |
