CelebritiesRe: Omotola Blasts Lagos Government And PHCN by babajay69: 7:37am On Apr 02, 2016

Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde said the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) is one of the biggest frauds in the country.

The actress added that despite paying her electricity bills and taxes, she buys generator to get electricity and provide security for herself.

She took to Twitter to vent her anger: “One of The biggest fraud in Nigeria is the PHCN. In Ikeja, there’s no meter, No LIGHT EVER and they still bring bills!high bills!#dontpushme!”

“This Lagos Govt talking about Taxes!and persecuting people and what rubbish? Are you kidding me?#dontpushme”

“I payed my taxes to buying my own security,Generators, fuel, road and many more…are you going to refund me?#insensitivity #dontpushme!”

“Many companies I.e Dunlop have left Nigeria cause of your Ridiculous Taxes/lack of AMMENITIES.Still want to em burden citizens #dontpushme”
God bless you Omotola. I can't think of any country that I'll treats it's citizens like here in Nigeria.
I mean it is ludicrous. I'm practically my own local govt. I have to provide my electricity, water, security even pay to fix roads yet I'm expected to pay tax. It is fraud plain and simple and we must stand up to the government and make them do their side of the bargain.
SportsRe: AFCON Qualifier: Super Eagles Apologizes To Nigerians For Failure by babajay69: 10:13am On Mar 31, 2016
blueto:
When will Nigerians, especially Leaders abscond from apportioning blames for failure?

You wouldn't have lauded the previous coach if you were able to qualify Nigeria, so why consolidate on blame?

we Nigerians are already aware of the flaws of the previous coach and reinstating them depicts that you want us to perceive that you don't share a partial blame.
As for me I would like to apportion blame in this order.
SUNDAY OLISEH:
He left the team high and dry when he knew that the toughest test of his stewardship was approaching.
I would have liked to ask him whether he was unaware how the NFF operates, didn't he know that they never keep to their promises? He should have done his best to qualify Nigeria for the nation's cup then he could have resigned. My respect for him is zero.

THE NFF:
They also share in the blame because of the way they operate. They never keep to agreements or contracts. They don't have a good relationship with the private sector because of this. They always have to run to the government for funds.
They also made the stupid idea to take a match that we needed to win to Kaduna. A place that is extremely hot. When you have players coming in from Europe thereby giving Egypt (who majority of their team are home based) the advantage. I mean we have good stadiums down south , where the temperature is much milder and appropriate for footballers in colder climates but the NFF chose Kahuna a hot and bumpy pitch.

SAMSON SIASIA:
Personally I would like to praise him for picking up a very difficult job in a precarious situation.
But his choice of players didn't do him any favours.
The major issue with the team came from the centre of the park where new captain Mikel held sway. He was static and bereft of ideas save for hoisting hopeful balls to Ighalo who had three Egyptians marking him at all times.
Etebo and Mikel were terrible together. Neither new who was playing a holding role or attacking role. He needed to have brought a player like Onazi who plays with a lot of passion.
In the attack Musa was woeful. He had one of his worst displays in a Super Eagles shirt. In fact with what he did in the first leg, he ought have been benched.
Moses Simon who was the best player in the first leg didn't even get to play while Musa just got the nod to spoil everything. You would have thought that Siasia would have substituted him but no.
Our line up should been as follows...
Akpeyi Gk
Echejiele LB. Oboabona CB. Ambrose. CB. RB
Onazi DM V.Moses CAM
Iwobi. RW. M.Simon LW
Ihenacho ST
Ighalo ST

Tiwa Savage’s Husband Calls Her Fan “Stupid” For Demanding She Shoots Video for His Favorite Song

Tiwa Savage’s husband was rather too harsh in a response to her loyal fan that demanded she shoots a music video for Love Me Hard, a song that features 2face Idibia.

He then calls the fan stupid and also said f*ck you to the fan with Olamide also laughing on the matter.

See screenshots below

If you don't treat your fans with respect and dignity then very soon you will have none left.
Teebliz should get it into his thick skull that his livelihood depends on Tiwa and her livelihood depends on the fans.
So you don't want to go around pissing off your customers just because you think you know better than them.
If Tiwa is wise I expect her to apologize on behalf of her hubby then answer the fan's wish with the respect it deserves.
CelebritiesRe: Seyi Ariyo & Kemi Afolabi Fight Dirty Over Odunlade & Borrowed Outfit [PICS by babajay69: 10:09pm On Mar 30, 2016
TunezMediaBlog:
Popular Nollywood actresses based in Yoruba part of the industry have been washing their dirty linen in public. Screen diva Kemi Afolabi and controversial singer and actress, Seyi Ariyo popularly known as She Baby have been going at each other for over a week over another Actor, Odunlade Adekola who is happily married with four kids.

The fight started after Kemi Afolabi borrowed clothes from She Baby which she refused to return. She baby then sent a broadcast message on BBM where she revealed her issue with Kemi to her colleagues, in another message on her PM, she said;

“Kemi Afolabi, you are coward! Pic up snitch! Oloriburuku, you are a disgrace to Nollywood! Please return my clothes; your case is so pitiful. Get a life!”

This message caught the attention of the President of The Golden Movie Ambassadors of Nigeria(TMAN), Saidi Balogun, who appealed to She Baby to retract the message.

Reports however emanated from Kemi's camp that claimed, She Baby was dating Odunlade Adekola and was just jealous cause of the closeness between them.

She Baby however slammed Kemi's report calling her a blatant liar that wanted to cover the whole truth. She even went ahead of accusing Kemi who is also married of having a relationship with Odunlade.

Narrating her side of the story, the Oloso singer, as She Baby is also known said,”I had a movie shoot recently, and Kemi Afolabi happened to be one of the actors I used. She ought to come 10 am,but she got to the location 5 pm. She had just three scenes with us,and I paid her fully already for her role. I was angry she already disrupted part of what we intended using her for because she didn’t come as scheduled. But was persuaded by my director to change her role which she finished around 10 pm.

“I lent her my clothes in the course of shooting. She now held on to the clothes as a bait, insisting I must pay for her accommodation which wasn’t in our budget. If she had come earlier as agreed, she would have been released in time because it’s just three scenes.

“Kemi now held on to my clothes for two about months. All efforts to get her on phone proved abortive. She wouldn’t reply all my messages neither would she pick my calls. After what seems like eternity, because we ain’t that close,I was feeling uncomfortable leaving the clothes with her.I decided to call her friend,Sikiratu Sindodo and reported Kemi to her. And Sindodo persuaded me that it will be settled.

“Until I called Kemi, and she yelled at me. Andshe was angry that I reported her. She now insisted she won’t give me the clothes until I pay for the said hotel room which wasn’t in our contract. All further efforts to get the clothes proved difficult, and I was angry.I later wrote on my PM about the clothes and Saidi Balogun intervened. And I pulled it down immediately. Later,Saidi went to get the clothes from her. But the truth of the matter is that I can’t put the clothes on again. That’s all. And she went on her Instagram page, writing all sorts of things to attract public pity. Kemi Afolabi is a blatant liar”.

Talking about her alleged romance with Odunlade, she said;
”Dating Odun? That’s rubbish. What’s my business with Odun?Everybody knows it’s Kemi who is dating Odun. So,why can we be fighting over Odunlade?I am happily married to cry it aloud”.

Kemi was also cornered by the media and in a brief chat with Encomium, she said;
” I don’t want to make any further comment on the issue.I am too busy for that. I have a lot things I am doing now. So,I can’t be talking on any trivial issue of such. She Baby is the one looking for cheap publicity.

“She is a producer,I am an actor. I was on her location and she refused to pay for my hotel accommodation. And it’s true I had her clothes with me in my car,but I told her to pay for my hotel which she refused. Anyway,I have responded on my Instagram page. You can check details about the whole thing.”

When questioned about her romance with Odunlade, she said;
”That’s not true. I am a married woman, how can I be fighting over a married man?Odunlade Adekola is also married. You should know it’s just a fiction. I am not dating Odunlade Adekola.”

All efforts to contact Odunlade Adekola for comments have failed.

SportsRe: Did The Transfer Of Captaincy Affect Musa's Performance? by babajay69: 9:12am On Mar 30, 2016
blueto:
I presume the sudden transfer of captaincy by coach Siasia from Musa to Mikel infused a psychological effect on Musa, even if he was the one that announce the change and appeared okay with it.

This is the Musa that is currently recording sublime performance for his club side and did a superb Job in the last edition of the World Cup especially against Argentina.

His performance in the two legged matches against Egypt was deplorable to the extent that if one decides to rate him as a player with such criterion, he will not be rated above those lesser average players playing in the streets.

He made a lot of ludicrous passes especially today, and he was totally neutral and innoxious in the game causing the Egyptian defenders to worry less about his threats and there by moving forward to assist in pressurizing our .defense.

We need decorum and tactfulness in our football.
No, the coach needs to know when a player is under performing and ruining the play. Then he should substitute him.
Not wait for two matches for us to lose.

SUBS

12, UMAR - The number 12 added some bite to the attack when he came on board. He also did some decent two-on-one. He had a daring shot at goal. I think he justified his inclusion. 6/10

13, V. MOSES - Gave reasons why he should have started ahead of Musa. Added more bite to our attack with daring runs. Proved a handful to the Egyptian defenders. He should have hit the ball harder to score what would have been SE's second goal, but he couldnt ahve known teh defender would still have been able to clear the ball - or maybe he had run too much to hit the ball better. Whatever be the case, he had a decent game. 6.5/10

14, IWOBI - The youngster completed the allowable substitution number. He also showed some flashes for the few minutes he played and contributed to the trio of Moses and Umar running ring around the Egyptian defence in the final minutes in search of a second goal that never came. A decent show. 6/10

SIASIA: - Good line-up and good substitution, but he should have known better to tell his players to defend the only goal in the dying minutes. He appeared confident his boys were going away with victory. 6/10

Overall, I don't think this team is bad. They just need to play more and know when to jealously guard an advantage as Ghanaian players do (You hardly come from behind against Ghana. They will rather die on the field). This generational tendency for SE to lose concentration when it mattered most is still very much around.

lalasticlala - 10/10
I think that Mikel is the problem of this team because he seems not to know his role in the team weather as a defensive midfielder or a central attacking midfielder or even a deep lying midfielder. Most times he drops too deep forgetting that he should be closer to the attack and he also very slow to recover when we lose the ball. He seems to be caught in two minds when playing and it effects the team. He needs to play a bit more like Yaya toure with a lot of force and power not the way he plays now.
I will score him a 4.
Also I think we need to look for more intelligent defenders. Ambrose is woeful he very sloppy and slow in possession. He always looks as if he's about to lose the ball anytime he gets it. He also just aimlessly kicks the out without any direction. A waste if you ask me. Oboboana

TVC is better. Apart from the fact they have a better studio and much better graphics. They have correspondents all over Nigeria and Africa too. They give on the spot reports where news breaks I can't really say that about Channels.
The only thing Channels has going for them is their quality newscasters. The speak impeccable English but TVC have got a few that still speak Nigerian English.

Very true. I helped a friend buy an innjoo handset and within two months the battery start to fail. I searched online for a replacement battery but there was none I even went to Alaba International and couldn't get anywhere. Eventually she had to get a battery manually constructed and it is working for her right now.
Innjoo should be banned from this country if they can't give after sales service.

I was born in London with a wonderful Nigerian father no issues. If your father bailed on you it doesn't mean that all Nigerian men are the same.
In America slot of black kids have no idea who their fathers are does that mean that all African American men are like that?

It's about time CPC. DSTv have been taking consumers for granted in this country simply because they believe that the Govt won't do anything to protect her citizens.
In South Africa they wouldn't dare do what they're doing in Nigeria.
(1) Removing channels at will.
(2) Channels disappearing for days without any explanation or compensation.
(3) Cutting off a subscriber 6am on your expiration day not withstanding when you paid your subscription.
The CPC should focus their attention to Gotv as well. A lot more people use this product and are being cheated terribly.
They should force multichoice to install a pay per view format that makes you pay only for what you view.
It is done in SA so it should be practised here.

PoliticsRe: Onyeka Onwenu: "They Worked Against Me As Director-General Because I'm An Igbo" by babajay69: 8:50am On Feb 18, 2016
Mztarstrechy:
Singer and actress, Onyeka Onwenu, who was fired this week as Director General of the National Centre for Women Development has released a disturbing allegation of how tribalism held sway in the agency and how she was persecuted because she is Igbo.

Read her story below:

When the call came on Sept 13 2013, to serve the Nigerian people as DG National Center For Women Development, I took it as a call from God and I answered in the affirmative.

I served for 2years and five months and did my best under very difficult conditions. We hardly had money to operate and the place was badly run down. Worst, there was low moral and lack of commitment among the Staff. Most spent the day loitering and gossiping. Many would not show up for work or arrive 11 am, only to leave before 3 pm. Some were absent for months and were just collecting their salary at home.

My administration changed all that. Most Staff were turned around and became passionate about the work, appreciating also the changes they thought were not possible but were happening right before them.

There remained though, a remnant who felt that the Center was their personal preserve and that the position of Director General should only go to someone from their part of the country. I was initially dismissed as just a Musician. When that did not work, I was targeted and abused for being an Igbo woman who came to give jobs to and elevate my people while sidelining them. When these detractors could not provide answers to the spate of improvement we were bringing, they resorted to sabotage and blackmail. The first such salvo was fired when a Senate Committee visited on an oversight mission a few months after my arrival. All three Generators at the Center were cannibalized, overnight, just hours to the visit.

We got over that incident and trudged on. The rest of our activities and accomplishments, modest as there is public knowledge. I have never in my life been an unfair person. I never favored any group. I carried everybody along. But I did not put up with deliberate incompetence and a refusal to learn, an attitude of entitlement which some people displayed. We brought back a level of professionalism and commitment to deliver on our mandate. Without these attributes, the Center would have fallen apart.

When the call came for me to disengage from the Center, I took it in good faith and with thanksgiving to the Almighty, Yes some stakeholders were upset and tried to make a case for me to continue. Their effort was a testimony of God’s grace on my administration, but I also knew that it was time to go. God who sent me there was taking me to a higher level of service. His infinite wisdom is unassailable. That is my faith. Besides, I was exhausted and had abandoned many personal projects to devote myself, 200% to the Center. The abuses and lack of cooperation from a mother Ministry, from those who felt that the Center overshadowed them, to the extent that they tried to discourage others from working with us, were just a bit much for my comfort. I did not lobby for the job in the first place and I was not going to lobby to keep it. I actually looked forward to leaving. But some people were going to exact their pound of flesh.

They organized some staff, mostly Northerners, invited the Press and set about to disgrace themselves. By mid afternoon, while the Heads of Departments were putting together the handover notes, they seized the keys to my official car, even with my personal items still inside. Threats began to fly. “That Ibo woman must” “we will disgrace her”. Their Chief organizer, the Acting DG, went about whipping up ethnic sentiments against me. Late 2015, the same officer had gone to the Center’s Mosque to ask for the issue of a Fatwa against me, claiming that I was working against the interest of the North. We nipped that in the bud by calling a townhall meeting and asking that proof be provided. The Fatwa was denied and peace reigned for a while.

Police was called in to the Center to escort me out and avoid blood shed as I disengaged. Eventually, in the midst of insults and name calling, with an angry baying crowd, some of whom were brought in from outside, I entered my official car and left. At no time during this melee did I threaten to sue Mr President for asking me to disengage. Why would I? Is it not within his authority? Even if it were not, is the Center my personal property? I had done my best and if it was time to go, it was that simple. Life continues. I had a thriving career before my appointment. The Center did not make me. I have so much to do. I am a multitalented, multifaceted and multitasking child of God. By His grace, the future is greater. So what is the problem?

Let me say here that The Federal Government should really look into the Parastatals and take note of the fact that many people who work on them do not have the requisite qualification. Many contribute nothing and many see their job as personal entitlement. They are owed because Nigeria belongs to them and them alone. Somehow, these people were given the impression that they could attempt to do what they did to me and nothing would happen. That is very sad indeed. The Ministry also has a case to answer. They helped to create that impression. A situation where the Ministry could invite a Management Staff to a trip abroad without informing the DG and the Staff would only inform her principal via text message, from the Airport as she is leaving the country, creates an atmosphere of indiscipline and anything goes. The Ministry should restrain itself to its spelt out function and not undermine the authority of the DG.

Finally, I declare that I am a Nigerian citizen who should enjoy the rights attendant to that privileged. I am Onyigbo and proud of it. I respect myself and I love and respect all for who they are. We are all God’s children. No one has the right to insult or abuse me or deprive me of my rights. Nigeria will not hold unless and until we all come to that realization.

Thank you and God bless.

That's what happens when you sack a coach while he's still in pursuit of the league. Also players also lose some interest when they know that they are unlikely to play for the team next season.
CelebritiesRe: I Am An Actor From Ghana , Not A Ghanaian Actor- Majid Michel - by babajay69: 9:59am On Feb 04, 2016
praizeblog:
Majid Michel has stated that he is not a Ghanaian actor but rather he is an actor from Ghana.

Majid made this statement which sounds controversial to some people at the press launch of Kofas Media’s new movie project “Amakye & Dede”.

During the Q & A section of the conference, Majid Michel was asked if there is a funny bone in him, and if there is, how he can make
viewers of “Amakye & Dede” laugh when it’s finally out.

This question came forth because Majid has not been cast in a lot of comic movies. In respond to the question, Majid said that he believes acting as an art is universal and every actor has a challenge that he wants to conquer.

“ Well, I am an actor and I believe acting is an act and art is universal… I am not a Ghanaian actor; I am an actor from Ghana. So I was there as an actor and this director said he wants me for a film and I said what is it about and he said this is it. ”
