Why don't people from developed countries experience these kind of tales?

Brothers think, use your head, is not that difficult.

You guys are severely brainwashed, and no one can help u except yourself.

Things like these can all so be an early stage of a more disastrous mental problem, I'm not joking. One of my neighbors two years back was another example, she was fond of praying every night loundly, accusing her closest neighbor of attacking her in the night spiritually, but today she's on the street with full blown insanity.

This is one of the problems of living in a country where nothing works, things like this should be handled by a mental health expert.
If you know what people in the developed countries battle with, you won't write this. Theirs is even more complicated but their development has blindfolded them.

Thank you for your suggestions and advice. @Contra5, I have since emailed the vice chancellor regarding my situation.

Before coming to this forum to ask for suggestions and contributions, please don't always think people have not done their best and look for every available option.

My school is Edinburgh Napier University, and yes, students can retake a module twice within a three-month grace period.

I will like to let everyone know that I am not the only person having this issue; in fact, I have three other Nigerian coursemates with the same issue.

Two of them have since abandoned school and moved to England on COS when the issue could not be resolved last trimester. My course is a 16-month course.

My school is notorious for locking your school app if you fail your school fee repayment plan; even if you miss just one month, your school app will be locked Until they receive your payment.

I'm sure there are a lot of Napier students here on Nairaland that can testify to that.

So imagine a scenario where your payment was delayed by Form A for 3 months before the school received your payments, and within these 3 months you were given the option for resit/re-assesment for a failed module.

The school finance team is very much aware of the situation of Form A in Nigeria; they just don't care. In fact, you get reported to the UKVI in the second month of your failed repayment plan.

A lot of Nigerian students here in the UK are going through a lot: some accommodation challenges, some financial challenges ( not getting a job), and some academic challenges.

Many people, including myself, had no idea what challenges awaited us until we arrived.

We need to do a lot to support each other, particularly in this forum, when it comes to contributions, advice, and suggestions. Everything should not be all about IPTV and the Amex card of your popular dokita @Lexusgs430.

Yes, I made mention of @Lexusgs430 because he has been in this country for over 20 years, he has seen it all, and he needs to do a lot more.

Thank you for your time.

Peace.

I pray you find a way out as soon as possible. That said, I'll encourage students here to desist from using form A for installment payment because of the delay in processing of the form and other factors. Many choose to use form A not because they can't pay in pounds but because the want to gain more naira.

Desires are good.

Infact, tall dreams are also good.

But the height of delusion is when shinedu is dreaming to be an elected governor of Lagos State.
In as much as I don't support Chinedu to be the Governor, it's all shade of wrong for the tout to be threatening people. He would not sleep in his house tonight if he was in a sane clime.

It baffles me the way you guys think only you voted for Obi in Lagos. For your information, all the yoruba votes Obi had will go to Sanwolu on Saturday, just to prove that Lagos is not a no man's land.

Myself and my wife are currently living in Uk. My wife is a registered nurse, I work as a secondary school teacher, I went into teaching simply because of the limited opportunities here in Uk, I told myself I wouldn’t do dirty jobs here in England just for survival. I’m a bioengeer, I lived in Norway for three years I had a better life over there but I had to move down to uk because of my kids, I always wanted my kids to grow up in an English speaking environment. Let me explain something to you people who have very good jobs here in uk, I mean they earn over 70k pounds are not doing better than I am because of the tax, when you earn over 50k pounds you get taxed by 40percent, at the end of the year their salaries and mine does not have much difference. The country is structured in such a way that they don’t want you to stack to much money in your account. You see lots of people with masters degree working in care homes, ware house doing all sorts of odd jobs they have got no choice. Have got two siblings in Canada one completed his masters few months ago he got a job worth 95k cad a year, it’s difficult to get such here na only grace of god fit make you get am for here. Lots of business you can venture into compared to Uk. I’m sure the role you claimed you got with nhs is data analyst which is around 29k to 32k per annum, if you remove tax your take home is way lesser than guys living in Canada. If you take your brother’s advice I’m sure you won’t regret it.
Thank you for this piece, I really appreciate it. On a lighter mood, you sounded as if you were the one who printed the offer letter. It's a cyber role.

talk to your brother. With Canada PR you can do soft landing and stay outside for 3 years in a 5 years period. Meaning you don't have to move fully till you get a job so you keep doing your nhs job. Shikena
Wow, this makes sense then.

lived in both

Pros- Canada PR equals citizenship after living there for 3 years. You can work for different employers as you like. UK- 5 years on work permit tied to an employer plus one year ILR. Changing jobs or industry is not easy. So basically your mind no dey at rest for 5 years thats assuming you were able to get the tier 2 sponsorship.

You can get grants to study some courses if you want to change career, some are studying nursing for free, some moved to tech and for grants for tuition.

Better salaries and promotions. Immigrants are getting to director/ senior management positions easily in Canada, same can’t be said for UK. You also get employment positions from USA based companies than in uk.

Canada is safer for a black family raising kids than Uk.

Cons- Uk is more fun and closer to Nigeria, cheaper Nigerian food items.

Thank you for prompt response. The major challenge I have with thus Canada stuff is I don't want to get there and be surviving on odd jobs like working in factories or care homes. How easily can one get a job? I'm into IT and here, I haven't even finished my study when I got a role with NHS. Again, with how difficult it is for people coming to the UK to get a job now, I don't want to be in that shoe in Canada. Reason for my fear and wify doesn't understand.

Please has anybody successfully moved from the UK to Canada? I've a brother that's a PR and he's asking me to come with my family. I'm sceptical about this as I don't know why he thinks Canada is better than the UK. He hasn't lived in the UK so he doesn't have practical experience. I want someone who has lived in both countries to kindly share their practical experience. My wife is really emotional about the whole thing as she wants us to leave the UK but I don't want to go and start all over again as one is getting settled here by God's grace. Pls help
I've booked for IELTS test to make her happy but thinking of cancelling it.

YORUBA AWAKE ! There is a grand conspiracy to fraudulently take away from you, through the ballot papers, your heritage ! The tenant is now scheming to take over the possession of the house from the landlord ! One idiot from Anambra wants to take over the control of the political machinery of my state ! An Igbo wants to choose a governor for me in my own state as a Yoruba ! The traditional Council of Obas here in Lagos will now be taking orders from one descendant of an OSU as the Governor of my state ! Before you know it,an Emeka will be the LGA Chairman of Kosofe or even that of Ikeja !

I should fold my hands and be watching all of these things happening because after all,the constitution of Nigeria permits such, right ? What's even more, some brainwashed, gullible Yoruba youths,in the name of Change or being "woke",don't even see anything wrong with a Chinedu becoming the governor Lagos state or an Emeka being an LGA chairman of Eti Osa ! These oponu Omo Yoruba Obidence youths are even energetically supporting the criminals invaders from the East who want take away their inheritance from them !

Ori e ti buru omo Yoruba wey dey shout " I'm an Obidient youth" all around; you're a senseless idiot ! Will Peter Obi or his highly tribal village dwellers from alaigbo allow a Babatunde or an Akanji to be a ward counsellor in Awka or Enugu ? Can a Tinubu dictate to them who should be their Governor in Abia state ? You know they won't allow that but they are asking you mumu to assist them in installing a Chinedu in your own ancestral land as your own Governor,Ori e ti buru for being so gullible not to see that you're being used against yourself !

As for Igbo people in Lagos, you've stupidly brought ants infested logs into your bedrooms ! You fools will begin to see the other sides of Lagos going forward ! Let's see how you'll impose your Chinedu on us as our governor come next Saturday, you guys dey mad !

So empty, I dare you to put your name here and see if you will sleep in your house today. Yeye

Boss calm down, you will win with clear margin.

Chinedu GRV, tribal bigot, one with disdain for Yoruba. Chinedu that cannot speak Yoruba but speaks Igbo, the Biafra ipobian apologist is going no where other than Onistha, his canoe is ready to go and battle in Anambra.
The Biafra war lord is going home

But your excellency, although u are not perfect and had some shortcomings, we will never trade you with someone who is not competent to handle his personal life and lack foresight. GRV chinedu has no iota of sense nor maturity nor competency and he is no match in anything .

We know that those that are promoting him are equally devils devoid of senses. The only thing in their insane minds is to grab someone’s land for bragging rights.
But Lagos is not for shining ego
Lagos is not an apprentice workshop to learn trade
Lagos no be container
Lagos no be playing ground

The 4th largest economy in the world is not for kids babbling
It is not for Chinedu
See, even if Gbadebo don't understand Yoruba at all, I will encourage people to vote for him. Perhaps, that teach us a lesson that 'bi ara ile eni ba n je kokoro je ayan, ta ba wi fun, wurunwurun e ko ni je ka sun lale'.
