Even if u don't respect him for anything, respect him coz he is a p.h.d holder. .Any Member of ur family Don do masters before? Oh u think buhari is a saint. Politics is a dirty game so shut up.since u voted him in what have we gained. Instead he's looking for a way to take pdp down claiming he's fighting corruption. Jonathan never did that. Your standard is too low for me to trade insults with you.Talk to the nearest of your species as even a chimpanzee is superior intelligence wise and in decorum compared to you. I have reservations about Nigerian education as it is too theoretical so I don't really respect Jonathan's PhD..A truly educated man would never support corruption. |

Politics › Re: Release Kanu Or We Go To War – Biafra Tells Buhari by Babalegba(m): 7:33pm On Oct 24, 2015 |
Voy: The Indigenous People of Biafra Worldwide, owners of Radio Biafra, has written an open letter to world leaders over the arrest of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Kanu was picked up yesterday night by the Department of State Service, DSS.
A letter by Ifeanyi Chijioke on behalf of the group, said the arrest of Kanu had shown that freedom of speech in Nigeria was a ruse. The group also threatened to fight the Nigerian government if Kanu was not freed.
“The world leaders must stand up to its integrity, pride, and in defense of the law they made,” the group said, adding that “the UN chatter on the rights of indigenous people had become endangered with the arrest of this leader of indigenous people of Biafra.”
“It’s on record that Nnamdi kanu is a law abiding leader who has disciplined indigenous people of Biafra to strictly abide by local and international law. The gut for his arrest is nothing but slap on the face of United Nations.
“Meanwhile, this is a gross provocation of indigenous people of Biafra and, as endangered people, would only wait shortly for due process and immediate release of her leader. “The world should know that arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the making of monster in indigenous people of Biafra and to prevent and save lives, world leaders must stand up to their responsibility.
“Biafrans, as endangered species of terror, genocide, murder and unlawful detentions, must be sorted or laws will be taken into their hands.
“Biafrans call on world leaders to prevail on Buhari to with immediate effect release the leader of the people as he is charged with no crime”, he added.

Politics › Re: Creation Of Eze Ngigbos Should Be Encouraged In Foreign Lands by Babalegba(m): 4:40pm On Oct 18, 2015 |
PresidentBuBu: Irrespective of whoever we are, we as human beings have a right to culture, expression and association no matter where we find ourselves. Over the weekend there has been a lot of complaints about election of eze ndigbos in non igbo lands. Many often hold the misguided opinion that thus should not occur simply because "there cannot be two kings in one land" or "it is an abuse of the culture of the host community".These recent statements can be attributed to the recent flogging of an eze ndigbo in akure orchestrated by the deji. This is a sad event but a very recent occurrence but thre have been ezendigbos in Nigeria for long periods of time so what reason does afenifere suddenly have to get them banned. Even if the man misbehaved one man does not make a community and for the fact that he even had many supporters it means that he did it not for himself but for his people.
There are always two sides to an argument and nobody knows the background issues that may have gone on behind the scenes to have warranted this harassment. There is just so much ethnocentrism in Nigeria today and that is why i feel that even though the civil war didnt separate Nigeria physically, it destroyed any chance of survival of this country.
Lets look at this issue without clouded lenses is there any reason why any justification in why an adult should be brought out on the street and flogged for any reason for that matter especially in a situation that could have been resolved peacefully, i mean look at the reason even the man wore a beaded cap which in itself is not a crown except you decide to view it as such. When he wore it, he did not do it to spite anyone but simply because it was his official regalia. It must have been a confusion on the obas part because no one treats an ezendigbo as a king but he is a representative he holds no staff of authority but he is just a man who has measurable influence over his people and his people only,he serves like a director and that is all. I see no reason why an oba should even care about an eze in the first place because there isnt a significant igbo population in his city and i truly do respect rulers thet recognise them but it would have been better if he was completely ignored than for him to be disgraced as this does nothing but create ethnic tensions and tribal enmity.
IGBOS ARE AN INCREASINGLY MIGRANT TRIBE IN NIGERIA. And the reason is quite simple they are into trade and imports and with the vastly increasing population and whether the indigenes of whatever town they settle in like it or not they cannot be ignored. They would need to have their own representative that would fight for their interest and that is the point of the EZE NDIGBO title. I mean how do you expect a common igbo man to get to the house of a governor or the palace of an oba to air their grievances. The igbos are not even the only ones that do it there are sarkin hausas and fulanis also almost everywhere in nigeria in fact there is an oba for yorubas living in enugu, and there have been many cases where we have even given them many incentives such as land and free education and even sponsored hajj for them in igboland. This title might be of inconvenience to some people but it shouldnt be if you have good interests in mind for the igbo nation. This title has even saved thousands of lives in core northern nigeria during frequent ethnoreligious crises as the ezes act as an enissay to the emirs of such towns. WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW TRIBALISM KILL OUR SENSE OF REASONING. WARNING: Many yorubas do not want igbos to interfere in the politics of the southwest especially lagos but if you dont allow hem to have their own representatives they would be tempted to force them on others. Rubbish |

ahamonyeka: yes,I quite agree with you but are going to sit down and watch them marginalised us?if we go to our states we will still do better or better still let biafra be.am not disputing you,you are right. I think the solution is very simple. Ibos should respect the customs of the people they are living with and behave responsibly. If you are going to live with a people for more than ten years then wisdom dictates that you get familiar with their customs. I read on this forum about an elected Lagos ibo assembly member who objected to the proceedings being in yoruba. If he cannot speak Yoruba then why is he there in the first place. In short I think Nigeria is better as one in a symbiotic relationship but Nigerians have to respect the host wherever they go. |

ahamonyeka: Am an igbo man and am not a tribalist but to me I think is high time for the igbos to went and develop their states rather than developing other people's state and be feeling humiliated. You are not getting the point at all . The fact is that ibos are mainly traders and when you are a trader you need customers to sell goods to, that's why ibos are all over nigeria and indeed the world.Going to their states will not work as there would not be enough customers. These are simple truths that the Biafra agitators failed to grasp.Ibos need Nigeria more than they think. |

1shortblackboy: I can see that education is a problrm in Nigeria. Not school education o. But being educated in how things work. When people don't know who's responsible for water in their locality how will they know who to hold responsible. U mean a president should be concerned about providing water in village? When he's fighting Boko haram....... And if he does provide water in his village people will shout tribalism and clannish sentiments. With hate in the heart against the man Jonathan was destined to fail like a man who's judge and jury are his enemeis must be found gulity of whatever he's accused of Quality education is scarce in Nigeria. A well educated man would not rationalize incompetence as you just did. |
