To me the Genesis story is metaphor for Mankind to realize that reality as it sees it is self centered, selfish and detached. This is the greatest illusion of Man - separation from others God. Going to the issue of genotypes and genes. This has to do with mutations in DNA as they replicate and also adaptation to our external environment through evolution. So to summarize we are both undergoing internal and external evolution. |
This looks like a whale that lost its way into a river. It should have been rescued and sent back on its way. |
It is a well known fact that the skin ages more with exposure to the sun. That is why our limbs and torso usually appear fresher than our face. And Africans living in the northern hemisphere like Europe look “fresher” than those living in Africa. |
Gone are the days when the British High Commissioner in Nigeria will be a SIR Martin.... That is a very senior diplomat just like their ambassador to Washington, sadly that’s not the case any longer. |
This boy wan give someone heart attack. |
The East and West could come together as one. But there must be a “divorce clause” in the agreement this will keep all parties SE, SS and SW as equal partners. |
Do they really need to take a ‘Group photograph’ at the slightest opportunity. Only shows the degree of commitment. |
[quote author=Bossil post=100917925]So what does insurance cover?[/quote Insurance policies do not usually cover force majeure (Acts of God, insurrections, civil disobedience, etc). The are two main issues around this coming up with the probability of such event happening and also the widespread nature of the event. This makes it unprofitable for insurers. |
It is rather disingenuous for the CBN governor to compare his action (money printing) with what obtains in the US and Europe (quantitative easing). QE entails the Central Bank “creating money” and then buying assets eg corporate bonds with it. Thereby injecting liquidity into the system. The process could also be reversed at the appropriate time, what the Central Bank would do is SELL the assets and in the process mop up liquidity from the system. Our dear CBN simply went ahead to print billions of naira to “support” the government. His statement about securitizing the “loan/cash” handed to government was only an afterthought. It’s not a surprise, as this CBN is well known for making up policy as they go. |
Nigerian politicians and “entitlement attitude”. |
Shows how Britain views and values it relationship with Nigeria. In the past, the British High Commissioner would be a Sir..... or Dame........ just like the British ambassador in Washington or UN. But alas that is not the same anymore. The decline of a country that is supposed to be the flagship of the Black Race. |
When I was young I remember the original inhabitants of tarkwa bay were not ilaje, egun and certainly not Yoruba. |
That is true tarkwa bay is not Yorubaland. Guess the meaning of “tarkwa”. |
What do you expect, when the seat of power (Abuja) is itself a cocoon. And aso rock villa is a cocoon within a cocoon. Can you imagine if the capital was still in Lagos? |
Rather than holding meetings on how to solve the country’s numerous problems |
xandy84:The United States have Supreme Courts at the state level now! |
EMMY76:Yes, and at least one Biafran plane was shot down over Lagos I remember that. |
I remember the song/chanting “Nigeria win the war heya heya” after the war ended. War no good oh. Had to switch of our lights in Lagos to avoid the Biafran planes bombing Lagos yet we had ECN available then. The Biafrans succeeded in bombing casino cinema at alagomeji with some casualties. War no good young men and women war no good at all. |
Loushinalistic:Nigerians should at least apply common sense if not intelligence. Do you expect Sanwoolu to abandon inherited projects just as his predecessor did? Governance is a matter of continuity. |
festacman:The man of Timber and Caliber |
Guys stop being ‘over intelligent’ and research the benefits/contents of cow urine. You would probably discover those guys are not that stupid after all. |
EcoBrick:This man resembles the founder of Amazon. |
Like this strategy, post them out of the country quick quick. |
Love making is supposed to be a collaborative effort. Sometimes it’s a bit daunting to gain entry especially if you are new to it. Next time ask your Darling to guide you in. And then make sure you memorize the angle of attack. |
If the Nigerian government is smart, they should turn the turn the place into a special economic zone. With its own municipal laws, financial regulator etc. Then attract foreign financial institutions as well wealthy foreigners to stay visa fee. Meanwhile corporation tax entities domiciled in the territory will be paid in dollars into the federation account. |
This nah South African mercenary Haba. |
banio:He is not necessary gay. Cross dresser maybe. |
SeriouslySense:There is nothing wrong with been attracted to someone of same sex. How do we choose our friends? Sexual attraction is different. It’s that overwhelming drive to be intimate with some. A straight person might say this person is handsome of beautiful. A gay person will be sexually aroused and would want to be intimate with the person. |
Now I know why ZOOM was created. |
Thailand - The land of smiles. Even when you are arrested you all smile, both police and accused. |
Never heard this side of the biafran war.
