I'll def' try my best, ![]() |
Wonderful News, |
This sure made my day, lmao. |
beaf. like I said, I'm not falling for your bait. not now, maybe some other time. This is about Ben Akabueze, the Best Budget Planner In The Land, not you and your attention seeking self disgruntled existence. ![]() |
Trust me, I have no problem confronting tribal and hate mongers and taking them to the wood shed , same way I have no problem highlighting positive stuff across the room. That I don't think you know anything about Mr Beaf, ![]() |
By force? No wonder people here call us chameleons. Today they are omo ibo spare part dealers, tomorrow the are legosians/yorubas.I'm not saying they are Indigenous. Fashola is everybody's governor and omo ibo spare part dealers living and paying taxes in lagos are lagosians. They are part of the system and melting pot called lagos. I'm very much aware per the negative BS we get from certain areas of Nigeria but responding like wise puts us in the same foul basket. |
Ewu, you should first advise your Yoruba brothers that started turning this into ehtnic issue by writing something like "if only other states stop shouting marginalisation"I'm still trying not to get into the tribal and ethnic thing. We know how to highlight good leaders regardless of their tribal or ethnic affiliations. The guys is part of a wonderful team, he's part of the great Lagos transformation process. I read a news article about the guy taking the state's budgetary and financial policies straight to the people @ a town hall meeting, he explained how the state collects, invest and spends tax payer's money including balance sheets. This I believe is a positive slippery slope to full scale accountability and responsive governance and a very new thing in the country we call Nigeria. |
Ben Akabueze was not appointed by Fashola. Tinubu did and Fashola only, of course gracefully, retained him. Somebody made a point: If Ben, an Igbo, is considered a Lagosian, why are the deported almajiris not Lagosians? Or is Lagos only interested in adopting rich and economically useful others?Send your almajiri concerns to Alausa, this is about the Best Budget Planner In The Land. You fit tell Fashola to send Ben packing next time den ship almajiris up north. ![]() |
When did Akabueze become a yoruba name? Stop fooling yourself, if he is a Lagosian then all those motor part dealers are legosian and the all the almajiris deported are lagosians as well. You chose him as a logosian cuz hez rich and friend to gov.If you live in and call lagos home, make a living in lagos, eat in lagos, shit in lagos and pay tax in lagos, you're a lagosian. The size of his pocket is irrelevant, tell me he's incompetent and unqualified and I'll walk over to Alausa and slap the hell out of Fashola myself. It's all about competency, not tribal affiliations and sentiments. It's indeed a new day. ![]() Motor part dealers are lagosians too. gets used to it ![]() aligning Ben with almajiris sounds a weird. Anyways, send your almajiri concerns to Alausa, this is about the Best Budget Planner In The Land. ![]() |
I've heard exceptional feedback about Akabueze; the guy is doing a good job. This is what we hope to spread across the land. The General Manager of Lagos State Infrastructural Maintenance Agency (LASIMA) "Joe Igbokwe" is another Igbo man in his cabinet. I'm blacker than babadudu sha ![]() |
Let's not get into the tribal thing, esp' with claims that we can not back up with facts. |
What does it matter? the bobo get more than enough qualification to do the job. And wetin you mean by "we"? Is Ben Akabueze not a Lagosian? |
lol @ Selling Lagos to the highest bidder. I guess the new interpretation for investments and development is selling yourself to the highest bidder. How else do you lift people out of poverty and promote good quality of life? Is this not what good thinking and responsible governments do? What is he selling besides encouraging Job creating investments and infrastructural developments which happens to be one of his primary responsibilities. This is what happens when people have nothing to support their positions, they fall back on meaningless and fact less insinuations and slime. Ours is a country of people with tragic reasonings and mindless ambiguity, it's a country in a vicious and perpetual state of damn if you do and damn if you don't. We applaud and appreciate what other countries do to develop and advance but criticize and trash the same good effort in our own country, even the only we've seen in a long long time and the only sane and glint of thoughtful and active leadership. We really are bleeped up in the head. It gives me so much joy to know that folks like you are not sitting behinds the desks and making decisions in Alausa. . |
I feel your pain Beaf, but I'm not falling for your bait today. This is a positive thread dedicated to a great Lagosian and the best Budget Planner in Nigeria. ![]() |
I see where you're coming from but you still have not clearly opined what happened at this other bank and how it was his fault. I'm not trying to discredit your claim, I just want to know and equip my self with that knowledge. |
I don't know what happened , so tell me. Well, we're talking about lagos state budget planner, not NAL merchant bank manager. we do have lousy jobs sometimes, ![]() |

and I dey think the bobo get sense all along, I guess not, |
this is what innocent maiguards at Atlas Cove died for?, I guess you don't have to be in abuja to loot the treasury, |
That seems very apparent to people with their eyes open to facts here. The state seems seriously more involved in this than some are willing to admit.Prove it or quit substituting facts and intelligence with meaningless "seems" and falsehoods. We keep hearing private but it still seems the government is the one handling majority of the promoting and liason between the people and the "private groups". The article that heads this thread has lagos state written all over it and I wonder why the state's resources are being spent in such a way to promote a wholly private innitiative.Of what use are your ideas and initiatives if you don't sell and promote them? How do you attract investors if you don't promote and tell people what you have to offer and what you want them to do? Now you're sounding dumb and clueless. Backward thinking people like you shouldn't be any where close to administering a local government talk less state government. Your sense of reasoning is not only pathetic, it's mushy and retarded. |
and what if 89% of the third largest city live on less than $2 a day, will they really want to use the airport?Seeking and promoting investments like the one we're discussing is what Governments do to lift people out of poverty. Hundreds of thousands of people are gonna be collecting monthly paychecks during and after construction. They are in effect taking care of your concerns. the good thing is this a private sector initiative but the govt time n resources will also be devoted to promoting itwhat areas of mass transportation are they not focusing on? They've built hundreds of roads and many more are under construction. The city link boats are operational and Tarzan jetty is in business, Modern terminals are being constructed at Ikorodu, Badore and Osborne and the ferry routes being dredged and channelized include Ikorodu - Badore via Oreta, Baiyeku and ijede; and Ikorodu - Osborne. http://allafrica.com/stories/200901070216.html Also, The Lagos State government has commenced the construction of three jetties at the cost of N8.5 billion, to enhance water transportation in the state. http://nm.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=12603 And the streets of lagos is littered withs well over 500 BRT and Lagbus ferrying people all over the state. what happened to the trains again they are meant to be operational by the first quarter of 2010The key word here is funding, |
It would be quite awesome if we could get Fashola arse-kissers supporters who can actually read and process information without feeling the need to turn this into yet another US vs THEM debate. I mean it is almost as if one is debating area boys, or something, online. It would be equally quite awesome if we could get non Fashola arse-kissers to prove to us that this project is not a private project same way the so labeled ass kissers have. The burden is on you to prove us wrong. This is not about we and them, it's about you proving that this project is not private and the so called ass kissers proving it is. We did our job, it's your turn to do yours. Prove us wrong or shut up. Throwing words here and there to justify or camouflage deficiencies in your argument and inability to counter produced facts and assertions is not only redundant, it's silly, pointless and share waste of time. And about awarding contracts. How do you award to other people what's not yours to award? It is up to the investors to award and finance their own projects. Abi you have credible evidence where lagos state government awarded LFTZ contracts? Private investment mean anything to you? Makes no damn sense. As usual, you don't argue with facts and good reasoning, you just run your mouth just for the heck of it, • 100% foreign ownership • 100% income and corporate tax exemption • 100% Capital & Profit repatriation • Long term renewable lease • Strategic location with access to over 1.2 billion consumers • Transparent laws and regulations • Promotion centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi • Simple and fast application procedures • State of the art communication facilities • Excellent Sea port and International Air port facilities • Easy international Access • Abundant energy supply • Marketing support services • Prohibition of strikes' and lock outs • One stop for all permits and the business licences http://www.lekkifreezone-ng.com/ |
I think the next to follow will be that this is private And to that I ask why the fears expressed in the article starting this thread. You know you're free to dispute that. And the article was about compensating land owners, not some fears about the project or one man's white elephant concerns on NL. Pick one and quit playing fast and loose with the facts, |
and so. why does Lagos need another airport. improving on the roads and water transportation would be much more beneficial. I thought Lagos state wanted to build jetties.Obviously, the state is doing all that and we have credible evidence to establish that, You're talking as if the gov' is neglecting what they are actually not neglecting and spending the state's money on what they are in fact not spending it on. What we are talking about here is foreign investments. It is the the gov's job to seek and encourage foreign investments in all sectors of the economy in his state and LFTZ and the new airport is good for the state and thousands of job seeking Lagosians/Nigerians. |
that makes sense but why is an international airport a necessity. It is a necessity because they're building a free trade zone to serve over a billion customers. On top of that, they also need a deep sea port. And what debt are you talking about? How do you get saddled with debt when you're not committing your own money? One more time, it's 100% privately funded and not a dime of tax payers money is involved. Show me a free trade zone without an International or cargo handling airport, • 100% foreign ownership • 100% income and corporate tax exemption • 100% Capital & Profit repatriation • Long term renewable lease • Strategic location with access to over 1.2 billion consumers • Transparent laws and regulations • Promotion centers in Dubai and Abu Dhabi • Simple and fast application procedures • State of the art communication facilities • Excellent Sea port and International Air port facilities • Easy international Access • Abundant energy supply • Marketing support services • Prohibition of strikes' and lock outs • One stop for all permits and the business licences http://www.lekkifreezone-ng.com/ |
^YawnStill, fine with me, |
Fine with me, ![]() |
Again and in case you missed it, From you? what for? You have nothing to offer but your standard pointless negativism and like I said before, your folks and the good people of the delta need your attention. Spending your days and night criticizing everything Lagos is not gonna make your people's lives any better or eradicate the pains, misery and odious corruption going on out there. |
Seeking attention again I see? From you? what for? You have nothing to offer but your standard pointless negativism and like I said before, your folks and the good people of the delta need your attention. Spending your days and night criticizing everything Lagos is not gonna make your people's lives any better or eradicate the pains, misery and odious corruption going on out there. |
