Are you not tired of tribalism yet?. Kaduna is not an hausa state and they clearly deported hausas back to hausa states. Tribalism will kill Nigeria.
Must you inject tribe?

Lagos is a state, not a tribe. Kaduna is a state, not a tribe.

And opining observation and tribalism are 2 different things.

Ease up on the tribal trigger happy and paranoia sentiments sometimes.

We should be able to air our views and opinions without baseless and unnecessary labels and accusations.

Gibberish and delusional rubbish as usual,

PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 2:44am On Sep 15, 2009
I clarified that already so quit jumping. The keyword is leaders, not necessarily elected leaders.

Let me repeat myself one more time?

Specifically, what did your local leaders do to save his life?  I didn't say anything about the international community.

Quoting ambiguous and irrelevant  financial numbers is mute and redundant simply because it has nothing to do with mismanagement, looting, stealing, incompetency and share neglect in the delta. You guys can not always sweep the bad including  folks like Ibori and alamco under the carpet while continuously pointing fingers and blaming other people.  Be honest with yourself and to the discussion.

I welcome great educational performance by kids all over Nigeria but please, post your kidnapping result numbers by numbers if you gonna brag about it and excuse incompetency and neglect in the region.

States are equipped with more than enough power to promulgate and enforce environmental laws. Ignorance of responsibilities and obligations is no excuse, other states are doing it so what's your point besides defending and excusing bad behavior and blind ethnicism. This is your state/land and you have legal tools at your disposal to protect it.

Shell got sued.

Shell ponied up 15 million bucks

Shell didn't say the land they were accused of destroying belongs to the feds, not ogoni land so no culpability

Shell didn't say Ken was not from Ogoni land so they ain't responsible.

Seriously, I don't get you guys. what really is your point? We all know looting, stealing, mismanagement and dereliction of duty is a sad way of life all over our dear country, including the delta.

Why is it so hard for you guys to accept known truth and understanding?

We all criticize and bad mouth shenanigans in other parts of the country so lets quit the silly defensiveness and highlight the same shortcomings in our backyards.

Now, please tell me Ibori didn't loot the delta dry

Tell me alams didn't loot the delta dry

Tell me how many schools, hospitals, roads alams and ibori collectively built and commissioned?

Oh I forgot, it's the feds Job.

Negro please,
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 9:58pm On Sep 14, 2009
I'll take that back because the key word here is leaders, not necessarily elected officials.

Now please tell me what they did to save his life?.

Also, who stole your allocations? the feds or your leaders?

Who refused to educate your kids? the feds or your leaders?

Who refused to protect your environmental? the feds or your leaders?
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 9:38pm On Sep 14, 2009
So ND people killed Saro Wiwa too? Jesus!
Feel free to spin as much as you want, what ever makes you snore louder at night.

Tell me precisely what your elected officials did to save his life.

I wrote more than that, but as usual, deception and  factual fraud dey bother you,
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 9:24pm On Sep 14, 2009
I truly pity babapupa for not realising that Saro Wiwa was the most powerful leader in the ND when he was executed by the FG in collussion with big oil. I really pity such ignorance. Nobody was more peaceful or intellectual than Saro Wiwa, there was no greater respecter of life. Nigeria got kicked out of the Common Wealth for that crime.
The Ignorance is obviously the other way around. Sounds like you're hallucinating too.

Are we debating Ken's peaceful  nature or the fact that delta region leaders didn't raise a finger when he was getting railroaded, instead, they colluded to have him killed. He got killed because his justified and rightful activism was disrupting environmental desegregation, your leaders and the fed's free flow of stolen crude and money."

We all know the wider Niger Delta issue is recognized as a shameful humanitarian crisis, it is also recognized as a mismanaged region full of corrupt elected officials and sons of the soil. That; you can not run away from or sweep under the carpet.

The feds are not gonna tie your shoes for you or tell you how to build roads, clinics, schools and hospitals with your money, that's the responsibility of your elected officials.

Delta region leaders are the most prolific looters in Nigeria,

Ibori is from the same region right?

Alamco is from the same region right?

Odili is from the same region right?

And Timipreye Silva is equally corrupt,

You really don't sound to me like an honest person, you've brainwashed your self into thinking and believing that all the ills in the delta leads to Abuja and the delta region is leaderless. Also that money/resources stolen by the likes of Ibori and Alams doesn't belong to the people of the delta and they don't have to account for it. They don't have to lift a finger to protect their people and environment, they don't have to build schools and hospitals, it's all the evil federal government's fault/Job.

Yeah, only daft, disingenuous and dangerous people blames just the feds for the problems in the delta.
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 6:17pm On Sep 14, 2009
How clever! They can't touch the oil wells or flow stations, but they can "enforce" anti-pollution laws. You are the one obvious person on NL that hates ND people (and it shows), so without fail you come up with all sorts of weird and madcap ideas.

Death sentences? "Shell pays out $15.5m over Saro-Wiwa killing" http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/jun/08/nigeria-usa
http://www.indymedia.ie/article/92632

Your other comment above was too ridiculous for me to expend energy on.
You're quit to jump on and criticize other states and their leaders when they do wrong (Tho' sometimes your criticisms are baseless and without foundation) but will do anything to defend obvious BS and shameful practices by elected officials and other misguided people in the delta.

Unnecessary defensiveness and blind ethnicism  by any means necessary is dangerous and counter productive. You are not helping yourself, your are not helping your people and Nigeria in general.

Do you hate other states when you point out their shortcomings? You're making no damn sense.

Ken (RIP) was not a lawmaker, he didn't have law making and enforcement capabilities, he was not the CEO of any state so it was easy for the government and the oil comps to get to him and your local leaders didn't say or do anything to save Ken because they were all complicit, they were part of the system that killed Ken, they were all in the pockets of the oil comps.

One more time, each state in Nigeria has law making and enforcement capabilities and as pointed out, other states are doing it, Delta leaders are not doing it because they are on the take and they always have been. They just don't give a sh*t.

That's just the sad truth my friend. Deal with it!!

PoliticsRe: Improving Road Networks In Nigeria by babapupa: 1:07am On Sep 14, 2009
Just got back to into the UK from Houston and LA. Those places never cease to amaze me. The road networks there are excellent. Flyovers and roads that are several hundred metres above ground level. . . with several levels of roads above each other. . .

Our leaders are just idiots. They travel to these places everyday and do not learn anything. After enjoying the comfort and beauty of the US infrastructure, they come back to Nigeria to terrorize the poor citizens on our narrow death traps called roads. Its a shame, a big shame
There's a reason why they have endless freeways in houston, well, that's a different story,

In Nigeria, we have no business building our roads with asphalt. Just like in Nigeria, it  rains a lot in Houston so they build their roads and bridges with concrete.
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 12:59am On Sep 14, 2009

If you think that Bayelsa can somehow go and start fixing oil wells or digging around flow stations, its either you're being mischievious, wicked or are just plain dull. Perhaps you don't even know that the oil companies are powerful enough to pass death sentences with impunity.
Please stop the deception, that's not what they're asking them to do. It is not their job to fix oil wells but it is their job to pass and enforce anti pollution laws. They have the power to fine and or lock up offending comps and we all know the reason why they're not doing it, they are simply in the pockets of the oil comps at the expense of delta folks.

lol @ Pass death sentences, e get as e be with your thinking and sense of rationalization sometimes.
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 12:17am On Sep 14, 2009
Your argument is ridiculous.

All oil operations are owned 60% by the FG. Can Bayelsa give the FG an ultimatum?

The companies in Lagos aren't owned by the FG. You are quick to label people dumb and clueless, but you're showing little grasp of the situation on the ground.
Quit the absurdities. It is still the state's job to draft and enforce environmental laws. Obviously, you and the leaders in the delta have little or no knowledge per your enshrined legal capabilities.

New Lagos Model City Law Compounds Federal Secretariat Crisis.

While the landowners claimed that the land upon which the property is built was surrendered decades ago on the basis of its use for overriding public interest and should rightly revert to them if such use was no longer for the public, state officials argue that federal officials and the owners of the property must to go through a certain planning and development process before the intended transformation can even be considered for approval

PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 11:00pm On Sep 13, 2009
State governments have no business cleaning up pollutioning FG concerns. There is zero merit to that argument.

Has Bayelsa changed? Believe me, it is almost dramatic.
However doesn't say the mansion is a good idea; even the governor himself didn't sound too sure of that; except that he was completing a project that was started by ALAMs (and which the current VP steered clear off). So, time alone will tell.

There are strong arguments on both sides.
Always making silly excuses for kinsmen sake.

But it is the state's job to design, pass and enforce environmental laws, they're are either dumb, clueless, incompetent or just don't give a shit about what they're charged and took oaths to do.

Other states are doing it. Just go to Lagos and see what fashola is doing with LASEPA and their environmental laws, even local governments in Lagos enacting laws to protect their environment.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu Did Fashola 419 With Sunburn Hotel Deal by babapupa: 10:27am On Sep 13, 2009
If Tinubu installed Fashola, don't you think he will somehow pay him back with contracts?. Nothing in this life is for free, you know.
I see your point. @ the same time, label me gullible if you must, I don't picture Fashola dolling out state funds, contracts and perpetrating corrupt practices because he took over from an alleged embezzler.

So far, I have no reason to smear or throw dirt at Fashola.

PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 3:59am On Sep 11, 2009
Delta people know the cause of their problems. Hint; no one has ever seen Governor Sylva drilling oil, neither does Bayelsa own oil wells. . . Laughable The FG owns 60% of all oil concessions, the other 40% is held by oil companies; Bayelsa gets a monthly stipend of $30 million like any other state.

They wouldn't find any use for your sort of narrow minded thoughts and suggestions.

Lets keep to Bayelsa state.
You still dey lie to yourself.

How do you justify blowing up innocent people while your leaders dey blow money on useless and non productive ugly monstrosities?

Btw, delta states allocation for last July was like 9 billion. (90 million Dollars).

And Bayelsa's dropped from like 10 billion to 4 billion (40 million dollars/silva dey pocket 10 million) because of militant activities.

Unfortunately for MEND and other violent elements in the delta, sometimes when you tink say you dey hurt other people, your people go suffer too. Not MEND of course, I heard they're laughing their ways to the bank with dead innocent Nigerians blood on their hands.

Innocent people died @ Atlas Cove.
PoliticsRe: CNN Ridicules Governor Sylva by babapupa: 12:07am On Sep 10, 2009
I am not defending anybody, I am merely saying that we shouldn't always see the worst in everything. Are the people of Bayelsa not deserving of such a monument or is that exclusive priviledge only reserved for Abuja?
Go anywhere in the world, the quickest way to regenerate an area is through the built environment. I'm praying that similar regeneration can take place in Ajegunle.
This your come back is even worse.

You don take poll around the delta to ascertain that the delta folks will rather have this meaningless waste of tax payers resources instead of meaningful projects like schools, libraries, clinics, hospitals and jobs?

Of what use is your so called worthy monument when your people are lacking common basics and life's necessities?

Is this what  MEND is needlessly slaughtering innocent Nigerians for?

Your thinking get more than K-leg.

A medical doctor, Charles Attah, was, on Tuesday, kidnapped while performing an appendectomy at the Aku General Hospital in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.

An eye-witness told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu that Attah's kidnappers stormed the hospital on Sunday in a Peugeot car and picked him unchallenged.

The witness said the kidnappers, who were dressed in suits, shot sporadically on arrival to scare people before taking their victim who was performing the operation on a female patient.
When contacted, the Enugu Police Command's Spokesman, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, said he was yet to receive details of the incident from the Igbo-Etiti Police Division.

He said, however, that the police had intensified efforts to combat incidences of kidnapping in the state.

I am enraged, very angry that the moderator of this forum would allow some imbeciles to be calling one of the leaders in this country a gorilla. I am real real outraged that people from other race (tribe) can be depicting someone from my Yoruba race as a gorila and the forum moderators allow this to carry on.

Do you know that this man has children?
Anyway for all of you that depict this man as a gorilla na your papa and mama be gorilla.

Imagine if a Yoruba guy start calling an Igbo, Nigerdelta or Hausa leader names, this forum will be jammed by the ignorant Yoruba haters for unnecessary and silly comparison (you will even be luck if you are not cut off, like they cut me off), but because it's Yoruba they are doing it to, Yes it can stand is that not so?.
