I think their biggest problem is that the British colonists lumped them too fast with other civilized Nigerian groups rather than giving them time for social growth needed for human development and evolving naturally on their own. That’s why they lack the innate ability for social interaction.

By the time Nigeria was created, most of them were still living almost unclad in small settlements in the forest and the rest of them were slaves in the Niger Delta region. Compare that with other Nigerian groups like Yoruba, Binis, Nupes, Kanuris, Igalas, Hausas, Fulanis, Jukuns, Kanuris, etc. that already had kingdoms/empires and were living in urban settlements. That’s basically why they’re always the odd ones out in the mix.

The only civilized ones among them are the ones from Anambra area and those ones are a mix of Edo and Igala (look at the title Chimananda just won, “Odeluwa”, that’s an Igala word not Igbo). And that’s why Anambra Igbos always feel superior to the rest of them.

It’s 2023 yet they haven’t evolved. I guess it’s high time they gave them their own country and perhaps they’ll evolve there overt time by developing the needed growth internally. Nigeria is doing them a disservice and they’re like 2 stages behind the rest in human development. Western education and money can’t fix that, it has to happen naturally. They’re also doing Nigeria a disservice because their lack of inherent evolution is why they keep destroying the image of the country.
All your rant stems from inferiority complex, the Igbo are doing well abeg, forget SouthAfrica etc,the Lebanese ,Asians maltreat u people in your backyards. When will your type grow a backbone?

Calabar is considered as the first capital of Nigeria because it served as the first capital of the Southern Protectorate, the Oil River Protectorate, and Niger Coast Protectorate. This was until the late nineteenth century, when the administrative centre of the Southern protectorate was moved to Lagos in 1906.........this is from a simple Google search when they tell you to educate yourselves you refuse and start disgracing us online........
Abegi use common sense,it was the capital of southern protectorate etc,Lagos has been capital since 1906,use your head, capital is not just by name but my function

You are idiot and ignoramus. Anyone who naturalised in UK can still be sent home if they are involved in terrorism and other major crimes. Only native borne who have no other nationality can not be deported. So, no matter the number of years you spend here and with your British passport you can still be deported. That’s when they will show you that UK belongs to the natives. That applies in many western countries. And of course you are silent on arab countries for obvious reasons, they are even more stringent on foreigners, they never give you citizenship. That’s what we need in Lagos after Biafra is given, it must be given so that we can clean lagos of rubbish.
LAGOS is what it is because of Nigeria, not because of Yoruba. If Nigeria divides there will be rival cities to Lagos that will come up quickly

The Omole phase 2 area had jungles too in 2000 today it is a highbrow area does that mean It was the igbos that developed the area ? Cause I remember them moving in only after we had rushed the place up.....as at 2000 there were a lot of places that were jungle areas so calm down......
LAGOS govt had a lot to do with that area,
Also my point is that the Igbo base in Lagos is one of the most developed parts of Lagos, therefore they are a progressive people most unlike the way I observe many people disparage them, the Hausa has been in Lagos for as long as the Igbo, yet they haven't built a progressive base, any were the Igbo goes there's progress even in the north and including their own region.Their performance capacity is worthy of note

how can a place be so develop and it citizens will be migrating endless to other place . Do you know what is called development . Not all those ventilation less property Igbo keep building and cramping into. Do you develop Americans running away from there develop America .
What about the millions of Hausa in LAGOS, a people that have held rulership of Nigeria for Decades,

If not for LAGOS that is southwest millions of yorubas will be outside their region

Omo you guys don't know the number of yorubas in other regions sha

They go open una book someday
LAGOS is the only factor in Igbo migration different from Yorubas.

There are as much Yoruba as igbos in other regions of the country, if you don't know know today
PoliticsFacts:the Yoruba And Igbo Tribes Were The Most Enslaved In Human History by babasolution(op): 9:23am On Jan 15, 2023
The transatlantic slave trade occuring from about1448- 1860 ,about 400years was a period of massive enslavement of many black nations.

Prior to that was the transahara slave trade also enslaving lots of blacks.

In general blacks are the most enslaved humans on earth.

But if you break down the enslaved of blacks, one striking thing you'll notice is that 2 particular tribes were the most enslaved of all blacks, these tribes are the HAUSA/YORUBA and IGBO.

For the Atlantic slavery it was the Yoruba n Igbo.

In other climes the larger tribes enslave the smaller ones, but in Nigeria space,it was the other way round. The smaller tribes enslaved this major tribes.

Dahomey was known to have sold a lot of yorubas to slavery.

The Fulani sold a lot of Yoruba to slavery.

The Edo did same

The efik sold a lot of igbos to slavery

Why were this so called majority tribes so much enslaved in history.

Who has details about this

For Nigeria who they have come to own,its a country with a slave name(nigger area)
The country filled with these 3 big tribes seems as a slave camp ,were these tribes are held bound to be shipped as new slavery now called japa system

the desperation and wealth worshipping is why everyday day in India IBo are in the New trying to develop India by force after doing same in Thailand and South Africa mass import of nonsense into Nigeria by this group is responsible for the de industrialization of Nigeria in those areas almost all the olosho are from the east and almost all the girls in hotel selling sex are mainly from the east in those areas. If you want to support Obi please do and not bring this type of story . they failed to develop Abia Kano state and Kaduna political leaders have built more infastruture more than any IBo political leaders.
Oga,what is truth is truth,Igbo land is far developed than most other regions in Nigeria, considering their near destruction and fg neglect, abeg they dey try,

You people don't even understand criminal networks, many countries or people have gained from it,the Europeans especially US (by tribe) and the english used criminal networks selling opium in China to get rich.

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Logic by babasolution: 8:58am On Jan 15, 2023
It's always strange to me the Yoruba attack of igbos online.

Yes igbos attacked probably first online due to loss in 2015 but it was merely political banter, but the Yoruba responded with constant hate and fear of the igbos, and yet are so comfortable with Hausa's who they have warred with several times.

The Igbo and Yoruba have no recorded direct clash in history.

But the Yoruba have fought since the 19th century with the hausa-fulani, the osogbo war is a case point.

Yoruba and igbos should be strong allies, but have observed Yoruba have this morbid fear of igbos for no reason at all.

They are always threatened by igbos

Igbos are not a threat to Yorubas at all
Integration will do both tribes a lot of good.

What guys like you don't realise is this, there's nothing wrong in seeking self determination, if they want to live Nigeria, it's not wrong, they never hurt anyone from any other tribe because of that,so why you people always pissed at them for that

The Yorubas should quit sounding like lowlife people, the Yorubas are behaving like incapable men that cant stand audacity.

Yorubas should integrate with igbos in Lagos.

If I were a leader in yorubaland ,I would advocate for a purely Yoruba city to be built from scratch, say around the Ogun/,Lagos/,ondo crossborder region

This will show the real capacity of the Yoruba, instead of fighting over a federal government former capital.

Yorubas are lucky it's the Igbo who are a fellow major tribe They have to contend with,if my tribe was a majority, we would have taken over LAGOS since 1999

I used to stay in that axis and he said he came early 2000 I thought jakande and the British built Lagos before 1999. What is the population of Lagos in 2000? This are the questions we should ask. I can go on with facts but we don't need to argue and neglect facts. The igbos didn't build the roads
There's hardly any road in that axis except the badagry express which is being improved under sanwoolu and ago palace, amuwo axis.

Even Festac inner roads are dead.

Old Ojo has been dead for years, work just started last year on the road.

Jakande estate was neglected for years,it was only recently upgraded by ambode.

The few built roads in that axis are dead now while in the majority of the area, there's no tarred road at all.

Despite the terrible conditions in that axis, this people built and built.
