The so called middle belt of Nigeria produces MEN, more solid men than any other region in Nigeria. The heat the people of plateau have had to deal with as concerning constant Fulani invasion and attacks which plateau people have most times effectively fended of and killed lots of their attackers,I don't think the southern major tribes would have been able to contain it,not even the igbos.

Nasarawa tribes have effectively defended themselves against the Fulani attacks,taraba likewise,only the Benue people have shown weakness and have been meat and drink for the Fulani

When Gowon ruled from 1966 to 1979,despite the civil war which he failed to avert,Nigeria had the best years in its history even better the the white rule.

Nigeria was so good under Gowon.He wasn't perfect but did so well,the eventual emergence of major tribes rule like the Yoruba, fula-hausa ruined Nigeria.

General babangida from middlebelt was an ethnic hausa,he didn't have the touch of a middle belt man.

The major tribes of Nigeria, the Hausa,Yoruba Igbo and core northern and southern minorities like the ijaw are either weak,poor or are troublesome people's,they are barbaric and crude and cannot effectively rule.They have not produced good for Nigeria. I have observed from watching south African shows and news that they look alot like Nigerians from the south,even their mannerisms are like southern Nigerians,only that they tend to be on the big side unlike Nigerians who are generally not fat.

It's baffles me because Nigeria is so far away from SouthAfrica and there are a lot of countries between them,but Nigerians resemble southern Africans and SouthAfrica in particular than even fellow West Africans.

Nigerians do not look so much like even it's closest neighbours, a Nigerian can for example easily identify a beninoise, or Ghanaians, in their midst ,even Nigeriens and Chadians can easily be distinguished from Hausa's ,I am not so sure of Cameroonians,but I believe a south African will not be easily identifiable in the midst of Nigerians except by their accents.

Ppl have been surviving b4 oil......south west was basically developed with cocoa money during regional govt, ibadan then being the HQ have the first skyscraper in Nigeria and still standing till today, the first tv station in west Africa as well as free education during Awolowo era.....lagos has been the commercial HQ far as during the colonial era b4 the discovery of oil......Ondo as an oil producing state is enough for SW and states like ogun and OYO can survive with there IGR without federal allocation not to even talk of lagos

Like I said before, the Niger Delta is not a tribe, Ondo, Imo and Abia States are parts of Niger Delta, if you say South South then you should know that the Igbo in South South must join the Igbo in East. South South can't stand as a country with out the East

The igbos in the south south do not have to join the East,are you aware that the country Austria is composed of ethnic Germans but they are a separate country,infact the area known today as Austria was the real Germany just few centuries back but they aren't recognised as Germans today,and the country Switzerland is composed to ethnic Italians,French and Germans? there's nothing originally any thing like ethnic Swiss,but the Swiss people have become a separate people.

The igbos in the south south can become a separate people from the igbos in the southeast if they so wish.There are more mineral resources in the core north which if properly managed they can survive on,however the core north is used to base lifestyles,they wouldn't need much to survive

The Yoruba and Igbo have over designed their economy,politics and systems to be over dependent on one NIGERIA. The only regions that can actually survive without one Nigeria are the north,and nigerdelta.

These people cannot leave alone as they would murder themselves to oblivion.

The Yoruba came under British colonial power because they were busy killing and enslaving themselves, the British had to step in.

The Igbo are currently killing themselves today and they have made enemy of other regions today.

Most other regions subtlety dislike them.They would have no allies without one Nigeria, leaving them vulnerable to foreign especially French recolonisation.

The Yoruba have Lagos port but without one Nigeria the port will not generate the kind of money it currently does because there would be competition from south south ports which the north will use to their advantage.

The igbos do not have much opportunity for a viable port and will depend on the nigerdelta.

The Yoruba and Igbo economy is too skewed on dependency to one Nigeria.
These regions do not have viable mineral resources, the gas in the East will have to pass through other regions for export and will be heavily taxed.

These regions do not have viable agricultural potential has they have neglected Agriculture and have not developed it .This will affect their Agriculture redevelopment as it would be slow should they wish to kick-start it affecting the economy of their regions,many people will be pushed to severe economic hardship.

Their so called human resources is laughable as without viable capital ,they wouldnt have access to capital except to borrow themselves to slavery to white colonial power or chinese control,their so called human resources is very limited and not viable as they have neglected their education system under one nigeria.They haven't developed industrial capacity so to start it after leaving one NIG will be an harculean task.

The commercial prowess of the Igbo will be severely impacted as the Igbo depend on other Nigerians to sells their imported goods,who will they sell to when visa restrictions are placed on them by other regions if they leave one Nigeria?

Their so called industrial capacity will not materialise so much as they think,this is not 1960.They have thoroughly watered down their industrial prowess under one Nigeria. Reindustrialization will be a hassle.

IT will not cut it for them as the market for their IT products will be limited.

The only thing they have is the diaspora who might abandon them and seem citizenship of their migrant countries.

They will mos likely have to sell themselves to slavery to survive for a couple of years after leaving one Nigeria.

In summary the Yoruba and Igbo are the most dependent on one Nigeria as it stands,their economy depends on other regions and the funding from oil and Agriculture from the north.

Only the north and Nigerdelta can stand on their own.
