Sports / Re: SA's Bafana Bafana Jerseys Sold Out Ahead Of Super Eagles Clash (PICS) by BabbanBura(m): 5:20am On Feb 05
MzansiCoolio:
The groundswell of support South Africa's national men's football team, Bafana Bafana, has received after beating World Cup semi-finalists Morocco in the African Cup of Nations has resulted in the white official supporters' replica jersey being sold out.

The two goals scored by Evidence Makgopa and Teboho Mokoena against Morocco to earn Bafana a berth in the Afcon quarterfinals reverberated throughout the country and made cash registers ring with joy.

Le Coq Sportif marketing manager Courtney Williams, while unable to supply sales numbers, confirmed the news to TimesLIVE.

“The support has been amazing and it just accentuates the good sporting news we as South Africans have had in the last year. Banyana made it to the round of 16 in the Women's World Cup, the Boks beat France, England and New Zealand in the Rugby World Cup knockout rounds by one point and then Dricus du Plessis won his UFC title fight on a split decision also by one point,” Williams said.

A winning team is its own best salesperson, he said.

“Our team performed incredibly well so far and the jersey sales fed on that feeling of good hope. The jerseys were sold out almost immediately online.”

Williams is proud of the national team.

“This shows our national resilience, but also the Bafana Bafana resilience. These players recently ended a 15-match unbeaten streak when they lost to Rwanda. Yet nobody made positive noise about their results.

“We are from a nation of one-pointers and Bafana now have a point to prove. We are all very excited about this team and their prospects in the CAF Cup.”

The last and only time South Africa won this tournament was way back in 1996.

“There is a definite spirit of the 1996 team that you can see and feel in our current crop. Their dedication and performance speaks to us as South Africans”

Before the tournament started few gave Bafana a sporting chance.

Le Coq Sportif unveiled an all-white kit that is an alternative jersey for South Africa as they head to the continental tournament to be hosted by Ivory Coast.

This is a departure from the traditional green and gold stripes that have been a signature of Bafana Bafana for years.

The new colours come as South Africa seek inspiration from elsewhere.

How can one order for Super Eagles' original Jerseys? I need atleast half dozens each of all this AFCON's Jerseys

I remember when internet went out for just 5 mins, the next day the internet company was here to double check everything. The funny thing is the light bills and internet bills here are even lesser than in Nigeria. It's really terrible and to be honest the current Nigeria you are experiencing is paradise compared to the Nigeria in the next few years.

Abeg which country be that?

Just swap the "pastor" in the story for an average Nigerian man's name and you'll find out that this is the reality of so many households. Most men will never learn until they get hurt.

This is the real story of a pastor i know, only difference is that, it wasn't DNA and abroad trip that exposed the wife and he never throw her out till date!

Romance / Re: I Refused To Kill My Chicken Because Of Her Friends by BabbanBura(m): 1:39am On Dec 11, 2023
Namaster:
The solution is simple.

Fixate on one of her friends.

Specifically, one that looks like your GF but better in some way. Maybe, bigger boobs or ass than your girl.

Here's what you'll do:

1. Pick the girl. Let's call her Blessing.

2. On a Sunday like this, call your GF and tell her to invite Blessing that you're cooking Jollof Rice.

3. When they come, focus your attention on Blessing. Ask about her work/studies.

4. Ask Blessing about her boyfriend.

5. Make comments like "fine girl like you must have a lot of guys disturbing you for relationship", "your future husband is very lucky" etc

6. Call your GF at random times JUST to ask AFTER Blessing. For instance, ask your GF whether she knows who Blessing is dating. Ask your GF whether she knows what Blessing earns or how well she's doing in school if Blessing is a student.

7. Occasionally mention to your friend how Blessing used to be "your type". When she asks "am I not your type?". Tell her she's your type NOW. Blessing was your type in the past.

8. Call your GF and ask her to "greet Blessing for you".

9. Call your GF to invite her to lunch/dinner at your place. But also tell her to invite Blessing when she's coming.

10. IF your GF uploads a picture of herself with Blessing, give your GF a little complement then GUSH over Blessing. Start complementing individual parts of Blessing from head to toe.

This strategy will achieve 1 or more of 4 Whicresults:

1. Your GF gets sense and stop inviting her friends to your place.

2. Blessing gets uncomfortable around you and she doesn't come to your place.

3. Blessing falls for you and you get yourself an additional pussy.

4. Your GF leaves you.

Whichever one it is, the nonsense STOPS.

You na correct badass wallai. However if you are dealing with an extremely jealous girlfriend who can't trade you for anything, na fire u and blessing dey play with.

Fake story + putting on waist trainer for 9months.Are there no side effects.Make unah dy use sense. So no one noticed changes in her for 9 months?,she is always on waist trainer for 24/7? , no one visited her unannounced during the period? dont tell me that her friend mouth is sealed without involving 3rd party.
No one saw her throwing the baby away or raising an alarm over an unknown dead baby? .

Are you really a female? And seems you don't know what growing up in typical Nigerian girls hostel is.
Anyway, it is not a story your irks are proud of, so not surprised that you are trying so hard to discredit it. But this is not uncommon occurrence for those that really know about girls living in hostels very well.

Why exactly did you completely lose custody of your kids from your first marriage? Your wife changing the name of the kids means you are not even acknowledged as their father at all. Divorce does not give anyone that right. So answer that question and that may help answer your current question as to whether you are also going to lose custody of your son if you and your wife were to go your separate ways. undecided

2. The word "best" is relative though. What you think is best may not necessarily be considered best by the other person involved in the marriage so you need to be in continuous communication with your partner about these things for a marriage to work. So, how is communication between you and your spouse? undecided

Great comments!

Op, except if you didn't pay dowry on your first marriage in an Igbo culture, no one can take your kids and change their names, no one!

Jennyclay:
Another post demonising single mothers undecided. Just look at that nonsense man shouting “100% true” repeatedly!! Mtcheww!

Biko, Let her speak for the single mothers in America undecided

Most single mothers here in Africa, Nigeria to be precise are doing great job raising their child(ren).

Let’s understand there are many situations that make one a single mother, situations like.. widow, irresponsible father, rape, deceptive boyfriend etc undecided

The question we should be asking ourselves is Who is the better parent?? Is it the woman that actually stepped up and took responsibility OR the foolish, deceptive and good for nothing man who abandoned his child and his responsibility??

No body says all single mothers are so because of bad reasons. However, it is impossible to raise a balanced child by a single parent be it the father alone or the mother alone. This goes beyond just the child turning out success or morally upright, but their is a psychological balance that will not be attain which will definitely show up in certain areas of the child's life or it could go as far as his/her marital life or upbringing of the the child's children.

Hope you get the point?

It is not a desirable thing to raise a child by a single parents, apart from the stress on the single parent, the single parent can not meet all the emotional and psychological needs of a balanced child.
No matter how bad, be it a mentally deranged parent, it is better than single parent upbringing and I have seen multiple extreme cases in my life and how the children turn out to be vs those from single parents

I have a gf who resides in Lagos while I live overseas. I have seen her parents and done somethings. Planning to do a tourist visa for her as I have payed for documents to be gathered. She called me one day, to complain that a dealer who she bought a car from is delaying in delivering the car to her. I was aware of how she got money for this car(loan as she works). Then she gave me the contact of the dealer and I
Spoke to him. The dealer narrated his side of the story that my gf was to balance her 700k to
Pick up the car. To cut the story short, the dealer agreed to sell the car and refund her money as that’s what she wants.
The dealer said” you seem to be the only reasonable person in this girls life”. I was shocked and I had to ask him how many people have contacted him regarding
this. He said I am the third person. The question is could the 3 of us be dating her? One is a Major in the army, she got some military guys on the Major’s instruction to impound the car. The other guy is a married guy who I got his contact and did a background check on. I discovered that this same guy has sent 100k to her 3months back. And now same guy is helping her to get her car or money back. Investing time and money in a girl, for free?
I have confronted my gf and she claims they are friends. Please, are there still
Nice people in Lagos that invest time and money without wanting anything in return in this part of the world?
I even called this guy through a proxy(girl) and he was like” wrong number pls”. After mentioning my gf’s name that my gf’s phone was switched off and dunno her whereabouts. He was smart in answering as I perceived he was picking his words and didn’t admit anything or refute anything. Well, the dealer confirmed the guy drove my gf there severally and spent the whole day in his shop just for the car. Are there people who invest this same time in lagos and money as well(though one payment from the statement of account) available to me, without wanting anything in return? The military guy as well, who gets military guys in the country for jobs like this without anything in return?
Pardon my moniker, guys!😂

I have a strong feeling I know this ya girl, is she working for aviation?
