So are we saying that the Fulanis in Plateau state should be forcefully evacuated ? BS!!! This is one Nigeria. If the plateau state government are allowed to do this then other state government would want to follow suite and this is wrong in a united country. If the STF in Plateau carries this out then Kogi , Kwara , Ogun and Oyo would also want to forcefully evacuate the Fulanis that have been in their state for YEARS.
If that is what will bring peace to that region, then it is OK. Fulanis have never been known to be peaceful. Talking about Fulani's in Lagos and other Southern states, the last time I checked, I think we've not heard any violence or killings from them, but I bet you any particular tribe that engages itself only in violence and killings by any means and reason should be expelled from that region. I understand Fulani herdsmen killed someone in Mowe, Lagos/Ibadan express axis, this is what we are talking about, if this continues, you can imagine actions that will be taken against them.
Politics › Re: Why I Won't Congratulate Oshiomhole - Airhivbere by babestella: 9:02am On Jul 16, 2012
vemmawealth: After several hours of silence, the Edo State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Major General Charles Airhiavbere (rtd) on Sunday said he would not congratulate Governor Adams Oshiomhole of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on his re-election.

Airhiavbere who polled 144,235 votes said Oshiomhole had earlier faulted the electoral process before his declaration by the same body on Sunday.

In a chat with journalists on Sunday night at his Benin residence, Airhiavbere who thanked the people for their support during the election said it could have been easy for him to congratulate Oshiomhole but that Oshiomhole pre-empted the system that brought him.

He said, “I won’t fully comment on the election because the acclaimed winner had earlier in the day about 1pm condemned the electoral system. He condemned the chairman of INEC for the process that has not ended”.

“That process at the end of the day declared him the winner. I will observe in the next few days before I make my comment.

“The election of yesterday (Saturday) has come and gone. I want to seize this opportunity to thank all the people of Edo State for coming out en masse to make yesterday’s exercise the most peaceful election ever experienced in Edo State. I also want to thank them for keeping faith with me. I want to seize this opportunity to PDP faithful for coming to support me.” Airhiavbere stated

It is all about character, PDP has never had any credibility in leadership of this nation, PDP leading this nation has been a disaster, and we really paying for it now. PDP has no leadership character to continue being in leadership positions across the country, they are all bunch of looters, liers, evil manipulators, selfish, killers, non performing slugs. We must use our votes to push them out of power in next presidential elections. grosssss, i hate that party with passion

Are we really going to have a better Nigeria ? With these kind of jokes we have in govt today, I doubt if Nigeria can really get better. Going to cassava bread, it is just a strategy to increase Tax on wheat, they know that Nigerians can't do without bread as a staple food, not that they really want to have cassava included in bread.
One day GSM operators will come up with their own monthly fixed charge, watch out for stale air from a dumb govt that have lost clues on how to run a country.

Capital market is already dead and yet they thing the problem can be solved by a manipulator? I think he will just start from where other stopped, but big disappointment for him!, Nigerians no longer trust in the NSE. samkoro: As long as this bombings are concerned I have resolved strongly not to ever blame government for it.I may blame government for any other thing, for instance light, but never will I foolishly blame government because of enemies of Nigeria and human live who wants to make Nigeria ungovernable because they are not in power.I will never reward boko buhari atiku IBB or any housa fulani for this.Rather their reward is hell fire.

Anyone that rewards the enemies of Nigeria with support will be cursed by the blood of the innocent
Exactly, some people swore to make this country ungovernable for GEJ just because they are not in power, it should be clear that they are living their dreams and threat, sorry, GEJ cannot take any action because he just can't do it for obvious reasons. But that being said, time shall tell. The pronouncements of Buhari during and after the election even when innocent people were being killed in the northern part of this country clearly shows that he has not vision for this nation, and surely the blood of the innocent people who have all tragically lost their lives will rise one day against whosoever is behind this demonic group. hear this all those who are behind BH, you will NEVER and can NEVER win any election in this country, no matter what they try and how much hey cry, they will not get it, their case hall always be "nearly" but they will NEVER get there.

Airlines should run brand new aircraft, this is human lives we are talking about. If they don't have enough money for brand new, then let FG invest in them so they can be able to buy brand new aircraft, spread repayment over a period of time. This is gross, that we even have aircraft that has lived for more than 40 years still flying our airspace and we say we have a minister of aviation, and a director generalhuh??

begwong: if those dismissed staff were still in the employ of air nigeria, they wouldnt have spilled the beans.Same also with d thief director that succesfully stole $100,000 meant for aircraft maintainance from d company b4 EFCC recover d money after his sack.
Hellooo, have you checked to see if he was actually arrested and money recovered from himhuh How did he manage to steal the 100,000 dollars without Mr. Jimoh ( An ardent lover of money) finding out. Come on, Jimoh is smarter you may thing, I can assure you that he may be directly involved in approval of payment and release of funds for maintenance.

Check the history of Global fleet, Nicon, etc. What is happening to those companies now, how were they acquiredhuh?? Big question we should all be asking, how was Air Nigeria acquire, on what purpose, aim and philosophy, is it just to make money or to build a reliable brand with service, efficiency and safety as a cardinal point of approach to customer service.

Air Nigeria coming out to deny this is OK, but this is a pointer that something somewhere is not right and this has to be investigated. we can't just ignore the claims of this man, and we cannot also totally accept it, but it is important this claims and counter claims are evaluated to find out what is really the truth.

The processes through which this people acquire and run businesses must be properly vetted, there are lots of shady deals underneath and at the end of the day, innocent people loss their lives for their incompetence and disregards for human life.

In August 2005 I was heading to Enugu for my traditional wedding, I took Sosoliso airline, behold, we got to Enugu and we could not land, we were in air for more then 30 minuted. What was the faulthuh The landing gear refused to respond to operating commands, and so that was how we remains in air for more than 30 minutes hovering around the airport and we were just praying. Thank God at last the landing gear responded, and we were able to land. Guess what, soon as we landed, thick black smoke started coming out from the engine, fire service came and the situation was brought under control. I left the airport and 4 months later that same aircraft crashed in PH killing lots of people in December, this was attributed to landing problem also.

My people, Jimoh should remove politics from airline business, this is human lives we are talking about, aircraft don't have breaks up there, and when the lose control, the chances of survival are too slim.

alj harem: Ladipo market is not even Lagos's largest market. Moreover Ladipo market is NOT majority Igbos as you and your likes would make one believe. In fact I have a family member who owns a shop in Ladipo and other markets in the state.

Whether they refund or not is upto the government and none of mine. What I hate that is happening here is the way you say "Yoruba" tribalism etc. I don't understand the sense behind that.
My friend what is the ratio, I know yorubas who own shops on the ground floor of some residential building, do they pay 6 million or sign such ridiculous contract for 10 to 12 years?

When we are talking about ladipo market, we are talking about the market proper and not those who own shops on the ground floor of residential buildings, those one are not affected by this issue.

I support redstone's comment, I have an inlaw who owns a show on Nnamdi Azikiwe street in Lagos, they experience terrible things from the area boys who are purportedly sent by the local govt chiefs, because of this, he had to stop selling there and has started another line of business entirely.

If you cannot live in peace with others please by all means do what you want.
Can you compare the size of the shops in Tejuosho to that of Ladipohuh the environment, how much did it sell for. Even the old Tejuosho market was far better than the new ladipo contraption they are calling market. Let the refund the money if they have the liver to do so.

Infrastructural Devt- Akabueze is responsible for this sort of issues. We are not chasing anyone away but to make the country better, everyone MUST follow the law. I know you know the right thing but chose to be ignorant because of Nairaland.

At the end of the day the traders which you call "Igbo" traders in ladipo are no different from me or anyother trader.

oduasolja:
Firm threatens to revoke Ladipo market allocations

By Nwanosike Onu, Awka 27/04/2012 01:18:00

A firm, Paramo Investment Ventures, has threatened to revoke the allocation of shops at the Ladipo Spare Part International Market, Mushin, Lagos.

Its Managing Director, Mr Ajibade Olajoku said in a statement that some of the traders did not abide by the terms of the lease agreement.

Paramo has a 25-year lease agreement with Mushin Local Government on a build-manage-transfer basis over the market.
Olajoku said his firm’s agreement with the traders is that they would pay for 10 to 12 years in three installments as construction work progressed, but that most traders paid only one installment.

“The agreement was that they should complete the project and collect allocation papers, but what majority of the traders have is receipt of the first installment. No single allocation paper has been issued to anybody in the market.
“The traders are free to collect their money from us since they are not able to clear the payment, which implies that we can collect our property back from them.

“Besides, the traders have not been paying ‘stallage fees’ due to Paramo and Mushin Local Government for the past seven years.

“We are therefore left with no option than to call for the revocation of the allocation, to enable us re-allocate the shops to traders that are willing to pay our money so that we can recoup our investment,” Olajoku said.

But leader of the market, Jonathan Okoli, said Paramo has not fulfilled its obligations according to the lease agreement the traders entered with it.

He said Paramo “since inception has been causing trouble in the market,” adding that “they cannot revoke what they don’t have.”

“There is an agreement that binds the parties. Have they fulfilled their part? Those who have finished paying, have they given them their allocation papers? They have not.

“Did he (Olajoku) respect the agreement we have with his father’s company? He did not. Instead he’s causing trouble, laying forceful claim over the market,” Okoli said.

http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/44569-firm-threatens-to-revoke-ladipo-market-allocations.html
Let me quote Mr. Olajoku: "“The traders are free to collect their money from us since they are not able to clear the payment, which implies that we can collect our property back from them."

I challenge him to return the money already paid as he has boasted. This is simply tribalism, how many yorubas have shops in ladipo, if not only to sell paraga and alomo, jedi which they hawk up and won the in the market. How many yorubas can pay do f shop in this lagos.

Silly ed iota, he took over from his father only to foment trouble year year out parading area boy, thieves around the market.

Abeg, let him close the market and let igbo learn small too and maybe now move to the east, and lets see what the yorubas will do with the market if not to sell amala and ewedu, paraga and alomo, jedi. Silly idiots. make una no make me vex here oooooo.
