Hello everyone,
How long will NOUN continue to postpone clearance and registration for new students? I doubt a semester would be complete in December as proposed by the school.
Meanwhile, who can help with study materials for 1st semester PGD in InfoTech, so one can at least get familiar with the courses before the school finds its bearing? |

this one no be frustration sir but truth. I'd advise u all to go to a conventional sch. Here, they will waste your time! Bro what exactly is your experience with NOUN? We have had people made good comments about the same school and that is the major reason most of us have chosen to study there. The fact that you had an issue with NOUN doesn’t mean every other people will. Back-up your claims with proves and don’t just discourage prospective students with no proves or evidence. Conventional or non-conventional, na naija we dey and we all understand how things work in universities in this part of the world. |

softy: Based on my experience, ur wife is eligible for Masters in Information Technology in NOUN.
Why would she opt for PGD?
She has 2.1 She studied computer science Info Tech is a branch of Computer Science She has so much advantages to pull through MSc in IT.
She would be offered the admission, whether PGD or MSc in IT. Unless the o level result is not OK.
If she hasn't fill the form for the pgd, MSc would be the best shot.
Best regards to ur lovely wife, bros. Thank you so much for taking time to reply to my query. Please do you know the duration to complete either PGD or MSc Info Tech? Like if she starts in September, what is the likely time to complete each of the programmes? |

Elfmannisback: Nope.. Both are two semesters and you do ur project on an unpaid third semester. Unpaid here means u activate ur second semester and register ur project (N40K)-not sure again oh alongside ur examinable courses. And do the project after exams or sth but u must submitted three project topics before the end of the second semester. TCE can be 42 or 39! Just go and change to masters and that will get u 40 points on the CRS score when she is done.
Mak una dey ask questions, folks who have gone through things dey. I did asked questions, read through people posts i.e @lovetree and some people I can’t remember and also did my personal research before making the decision. The time frame for completing PGD and MSc programmes at NOUN differs. If you register for MSc now it will take you through to 2020 while you can complete PGD in 2019 as we were told at their VI study center. And you know we don’t have that luxury of time, things might change in coming months. PGD can land us ITA once in the bag going by the current trend. |

Elfmannisback: Why PGD when qualified for M. Sc? The programme duration. PGD is 2 semesters while MSc is 3. Since the whole idea is for upping CRS. Besides, MSc might extend to another birthday which would eventually impact on CRS. |

Hello Fam,
My wife has already applied for a PGD programme in info tech with NOUN in a bid to increase CRS. She has 2.1 in computer science frm her first degree.
My concern is would she be considered and offered admission as I have read somewhere that PGD is only for candidates with below 3.0 CGPA and 1st class and 2nd class upper might not be considered. How true? |
