All the while I've been sending felicitations to muslims on this site during sallah and all that, no single muslim was humble enough to open a happy christmas thread for christians. I dey vex for una.
Well the truth must be told. Christmas is a fetish festival and muslims must not participate nor send felicitation.

In all honesty, you yourself know that 25th December is not Jesus' birthday but the celebration of one of the gods worshipped by the pagans.

Salam. You see, you say thngs in order to beautify ur belief or somethng that is no true.
Salam.Which belief of mine are you referring to?

You said grave yards are been taking as worshiping grounds? At where? Did you ever saw them worshiping? Also, praying to saints? Taking others as intercessors with Allah? All these are pure lies and qazaf, and I assure none of these is true, for I am one of the tijania followas and we were taught nothing, but kuran and the sunnah of SAW. These histories and quotes from your teachers are not standard enough and you have no right to reject or accept any ibadah to Allah, because u are here too struggling for the acceptance of yours. We believed to be Ahlussunnah wal jamaat, but you are saying you don't agree, why? Who are you to approve? This is the problem.
Its quite funny that you couldnt provide enough rebuttal to the fact I presented and if I may ask you again, what is the stand of Tijjaniyah on Democracy and Music? Go through my post again for understanding. I am not Allah and not here to judge but the truth must still be told.

"Allahumma salli ala sayyadna Muhammad al fatihil ma ublika wal katibil ma sabaka nasirul haqqi bil haqq, wal hadi ila siradikal mustakim wa ala alihi haqqa qadrihi wa miqdarihil azim." this is the salatul fatih you are talking about, what is the problem with it?
What happened to Solatul Ibrahim and do you take what the prophet is not aware as against what he taught us (Solatul Ibrahim)?

'Inna Laha wa Malaikatau yusoluna ala Nabiyy, Ya ayuha lazina amanu, soluu alaehi . . .' That's a Qur'anic verse pointing to us the importance of Solatula ala Nabiyy (SAW)
Hope you are not referring to Solatul Fatih?

I don't think there is anything wrong in sufism should it be Tijaniyat or qadiriyat. Infact if you do practice sufism you will surely experience new life and new knowledge about Allah after cleansen your Soul with istigifarul,Solatul li fatih and Laila ila Allahu.
Fari fu ni qabula anta budu ni. Know me before you start worshipping me.
Masallam
To start with, what is your stand on Solatul fatih?
Your support for Solatul Fatih has shown that it is not what you portrayed it tp  be or how could someone be supporting Solatul Fatih which happens to be a Bidah? It is glaring the kind of sufism you support.

THE TIJANIYA - founded by al-Tijani in 1781 in Fez, Morocco, extended the borders of Islam towards Senegal and Nigeria and founded great kingdoms in West Africa. They taught submission to the established government and their influence is still an important factor in these countries where it is associated with conservative businessmen.

The Qadariyyah: Their methodology consists negating Al-Qadar from the actions of the servant and that his desire and ability are independent from the Desire and Ability of Allaah. The first to manifest this view openly was Mabad ibn al-Juhanee, in the last part of the era of the Sahaabah. He learned it from a Majoosee man from Al -Basrah.

Sufism: A mystical belief that has its influence from paganism. The sufis have introduced many acts of shirk into the Muslim Ummah such as taking the graves as places of worship, praying to 'saints', taking others as intercessors with Allaah and many other astray innovations. They Also Claim to be Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah which is not true.

They are divided into two groups, one is extreme and one that is not extreme. The extremist group rejects the Attributes of Knowledge, Desire, Ability and Creating from Allaah in favor of the actions of the servant. However, they reject its occurring by His Desire, Ability and Creating. This is what their belief is founded upon.

The one that is not extreme is the genuine and authentic Sufism, which is undoubtedly in perfect agreement with the Book, the Sunnah, and the practices of Salaf As-Salih (early righteous Muslims). Tasawwuf of Sufi masters such as Junyad Al-Baghdadi, Abu Sulayman Al-Darani, etc. belong to this category of authentic and genuine Tasawwuf.

The extreme sufism is a pseudo-Sufism which includes those who uphold and advocate cultic practices or customs that are contrary to the Sunnah, as well as those who have mixed Sufism with speculative Mysticism/Neo-Platonism, and thus dabble in metaphysical theories about cosmos, emanations, etc. Both these groups are charlatans and impostors. While the former invent new forms of `Ibadah (acts of worship) that are not sanctioned by the Law-giver, the latter mix philosophy with religion and blur the essential distinction between the Creator and creation, which is the basis of Prophetic religion. There is no doubt that indulgence in such forms of Sufism takes humans away from their true purpose and mission in life which is to do God’s will on earth. These pseudo-Sufis turn the goal of human life into contemplation of mysteries of the universe; it is contrary to the Qur’anic definition of the purpose of human existence.

It is because of the real dangers inherent in such aberrations, and deviations that the early Sufi masters tirelessly preached the importance of weighing everything by the firm yardstick of the Shari`ah: Abu Al-Qasim Al-Junayd, one of the genuine masters of authentic Tasawwuf, said, “The essence of Tawhid (monotheism) is to distinguish the eternal from the temporal”; he also said, “Whoever does not retain the Qur’an, nor studies the Hadith cannot be trusted in this matter (Tasawwuf) since our knowledge is bound solely by the teachings of the Book and the Sunnah.”

Abu Sulayman Ad-Darani said, “Often one of the insights of the Sufi folk occurs to me and yet I do not accept it until I examine it by the testimony of the two of the most reliable witnesses: the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.”

According to an eminent scholar, “Authentic Tasawwuf is at once a cognitive and practical discipline of souls, curing of diseases of hearts, implanting of virtues, and purging souls off their vices and carnal desires, and training in patience, contentment and obedience to Allah; it is struggle against the carnal soul, and combating its base inclinations and meticulous scrutiny of actions and non-actions, and guarding souls against the invasions and influx of heedlessness and vain thoughts, and severing off all hindrances and obstacles that hinder and hamper one’s journey to Allah; it is asceticism in everything that distracts a person from celebrating remembrance of Allah and make one’s hearts focused on it. It is knowledge of Allah and conviction in Him, affirming His Oneness and glorifying Him, and turning wholly unto Him, and turning away from everything else; it is to be solely focused entirely on worshipping and obeying Allah, and compliance with His limits, and acting according to His Shari`ah, and exposing oneself to the graces and gifts that Allah vouchsafes to His chosen servants as a sheer sign of His grace and mercy.”

Another scholar said, “Tasawwuf is to adorn oneself with every noble traits of character and to shun every base one.” Or, stated differently, “It is to examine one’s states and cling to noble manners.”

When defined in this way Tasawwuf is not only an authentic Islamic discipline but the quintessence of Islam as an experiential reality.”

IslamRe: Muslims: What Did You Learn In Islam Recently? by babs787(m): 8:02pm On Jan 02, 2009
The Islamic Concept of Life

The chief characteristic of Islam is that it makes no distinction between the spiritual and the secular in life. Its aim is to shape both individual lives as well as society as a whole in ways that will ensure that the Kingdom of God may really be established on earth and that peace, contentment and well being may fill the world. The Islamic way of life is thus based on a unique concept of man’s place in the universe. That is why it is necessary that, before we discuss the moral, social, political and economic systems of Islam, we should have a clear idea of what that concept is.

Basic Principles

1. God, who is the Creator, the Ruler and the Lord of the universe, has created man and provided him with a temporary home in that part of His vast kingdom which is the earth. He has endowed man with the faculties of thinking and understanding, and has given him the power to distinguish right from wrong. Man has also been invested with free will and the power to use the resources of the world however he likes. That is, man has a measure of autonomy, while being at the same time God’s representative on earth.

2. Before assigning to man this vicegerency (Khilafat), God made it clear to him that He alone was the Lord, the Ruler and the Deity. As such, the entire universe and all creatures in it (including man) should submit to Him alone. Man must not think himself totally free and must realize that this earth is not his permanent abode. He has been created to live on it only for a probationary period and, in due course, he will return to his Lord, to be judged according to the way he has spent that period. The only right course for man is to acknowledge God as the only Lord, the Sustainer and the Deity, and to follow His guidance and His commands in all he does. His sole objective should be to merit the approval of Allah.

If man follows a course of righteousness and godliness (which he is free to choose and follow) he will be rewarded in this world and the next: in this world he will live a life of peace and contentment, and in the Heareafter he will qualify for the heaven of eternal bliss, al-Jannah. If he chooses to follow the course of godlessness and evil (which he is equally free to choose and follow), his life will be one of corruption and frustration in this world, and in the life to come he will face the prospect of that abode of pain and misery which is called Hell.

3. After making this position clear, God set man on earth and provided the very first human beings (Adam and Eve) with guidance as to how they were to live. Thus man’s life on this earth did not start in utter darkness. From the beginning a bright torch or light was provided so that humanity could fulfil its glorious destiny. The very first man received revealed knowledge from God Himself, and was told the correct way to live. This code of life was Islam, the attitude of complete submission to Allah, the Creator of man and the whole universe. It was this religion which Adam, the first man, passed down to posterity.

But later generations gradually drifted away from the right path. Either they lost the original teachings through negligence or they deliberately adulterated and distorted them. They associated God with innumerable human beings, material objects and imaginary gods. Shirk (polytheism) became widespread. They mixed up the teachings of God with myths and strange philosophies and thus produced a jumble of religions and cults; and they discarded the God-given principles of personal and social morality, the Shari’ah.

4. Although man departed from the path of truth, disregarded or distorted the Shari’ah or even rejected the code of Divine guidance, God did not destroy them or force them to take the right course. Forced morality was not in keeping with the autonomy He had given to man. Instead, God appointed certain good people from among the human society itself to guide men to the right path. These men believed in God, and lived a life of obedience to Him. He honoured them by His revelations, giving them the knowledge of reality. Known as Prophets, blessings and peace be on all of them, they were assigned the task of spreading God’s message among men.

5. Many thousands of these prophets were raised throughout the ages, in all lands and in all nations. All of them brought the same message; all of them advocated the same way of life, (din), that is, the way which was revealed to man on the first day of his existence. All of them had the same mission: they called men to Islam- to submit to God alone, asked those who accepted the Divine guidance to live in accordance with it and organized them into a movement for the establishment of the Divine law, and for putting an end to all deviations from the true path. Many people, however, refused to accept their guidance and many of those who did accept it gradually drifted away from their initial commitment.

6. Lastly, God raised the Prophet Muhammad, blessings and peace be on him, in Arabic to complete the mission of the earlier prophets. The message of Muhammed, blessings and peace be on him, was for the whole of mankind. He presented a new the teachings of Islam in their pristine form and provided humanity once again with the Divine guidance which had been largely lost. He organized all those who accepted his message into one community (Ummah), charged with living in accordance with the teachings of Islam, with calling humanity to the path of righteousness and with establishing the supremacy of the word of God on earth. This guidance is enshrined in the Holy Qur’an.

Iman: Its Nature and Character

The Qur’an deals in many passages with man’s relationship to Allah and the concept of life which naturally follows from that relationship. Its message is epitomized in the following verse:

Verily Allah hath bought of the Believers their lives and their properties for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise : so they fight in the way of Allah and slay and are slain. It (i.e. the promise of Paradise ) is a covenant which is binding on Him in the Torah and the Injil and the Qur’an. And who is more faithful unto his covenant than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph.(al-Tawbah 9: 111)

In the above verse the nature of the relationship which comes into existence between man and God because of Imam(the belief, trust and faith in Allah) is called a ‘bargain’. This means that Iman in Allah is not a mere metaphysical concept; it is in the nature of a contract by which man barters his life and his possessions in exchange for the promise of Paradise in the Hereafter. God, as it were, purchases a Believer’s life and property and promises, in return, the reward of Paradise in the life after death. This concept of a bargain and a covenant has important implications, and needs to be clearly understood.

Everything in this world belongs to Allah. As such, man’s life and wealth, which are part of this world, also belong to Him, because He has created them and has entrusted them to every man for his use. Looked at from this angle, the question of ‘selling’ or ‘buying’ may not seem to arise at all; God does not need to buy what is already His man cannot sell what is not really his.

But there is one thing which has been conferred on man, and which now belongs fully to him, and that is free will, which gives his freedom to choose between following or not following the path of Allah. This freedom of will and choice does not automatically make man the real owner of all the power and resources over which he has command, nor does it give him the right to use them just as he likes. Yet, because of this free will, he may, if he likes, consider himself free of all obligations to the Lord and independent of any higher authority. It is here that the question of bargain arises.

This bargain thus does not mean that God is purchasing something which belongs to man. Its real nature is this: all creation belongs to God but He has bestowed certain things on man to be used by him on trust. God wants man to willingly and voluntarily acknowledge this. A person who voluntarily renounces his freedom to reject God’s supremacy and instead acknowledges His sovereignty, and, in so doing, ‘sells’ his ‘autonomy’ (which, too, is a gift from God) to God, will get in return God’s promise of eternal bliss in Paradise. A person who makes such a bargain is a Mu’min (Believer) and Iman (faith) is the Islamic name for this contract; a person who chooses not to enter into this contract, or who, after making such contract, does not keep to it, is a Kufir. The avoidance or abrogation of the contract is technically known as Kufr.

Such is the nature of the contract. Now let us briefly study its various aspects and stipulations.

1. God has set us to account for ourselves in two areas:

(a) He has left man free, but nonetheless wishes to see whether he will remain honest and loyal to Him, or whether he will rebel against his own Creator, whether he will behave nobly or start ‘playing such fantastic tricks as make the angels weep’.

(b) He wants to see whether man is prepared to have enough trust in God to offer his life and wealth in return for a promise about the next world.

2. It is a principle of Islamic law that Iman consists in adherence to a certain set of doctrines becomes a Mu’min. No one has the right to call such a man a disbeliever or drive him from the fold of Ummah, unless there is clear proof that faith has been abandoned. This is the legal position. But in the eyes of the Lord, Iman is only valid when it entails complete surrender of one’s will and freedom of choice to the will of Allah. It is a state of thought and action, coming from the hear, wherein man submits himself fully to Allah, renouncing all claim to his own supremacy.

A man may recite the Kalimah, accept the contract and even offer Prayers and perform other acts of worship, but if in his heart he regards himself as the owner and the master of his physical and mental powers and of his moral and material resources, then, however much the people may look upon him as a Mu’min, in the eyes of God he will be a disbeliever. He will not really have entered into the bargain which the Qur’an says is the essence of Iman. If a man does not use his powers and resources in the way God has forbidden, it is clear that either he has not pledged his life and property to Allah, or has nullified that pledge by his conduct.

3. This aspect of Iman makes the Islamic way of life the very opposite of the non-Muslim, who has real faith in Allah, makes his entire life one of obedience and surrender to His will. He never behaves arrogantly or selfishly or as if he were master of his own destiny, save in moments of forgetfulness. And so soon as he becomes conscious of such a lapse, he will submit himself to his Lord and ask forgiveness for his error.

Similarly, a group of people or a society which consists of true Muslims can never break away from the Law of their Lord. Its political order, its social organizations, its culture, its economic policy, its legal system and its international strategy must all be in tune with the code of guidance revealed by Allah. Any unwitting contraventions must be corrected as soon as they are realised.

It is disbelievers who feel free from God’s guidance and behave as if they were their own master. Anyone who behaves like this, even though he may bear a name similar to that of a Muslim, is treading the path of the disbelievers.

4.The will of God, which it is obligatory for man to follow, is the one which God Himself has revealed for man’s guidance. It cannot be determined by man himself. God has Himself explained it clearly and there is no ambiguity about it. Therefore, if a society sticks honestly to its contract with Allah, it must shape its life in accordance with the Book of God and the Sunnah of the Prophet, blessing and peace be on him.

It is clear from the foregoing discussion why the payment of the price has been postponed till the life after death. Paradise is not the reward for the mere profession of the bargain, it is the reward for the faithful execution of it. Unless the behavior of the ‘vendor’ complies with the terms of the contract he will not be entitled to the reward. The final act of the ‘sale’ can only be concluded after the last moment of the vendor’s earthly life.

There is another significant point which merges from the study of the verse quoted in the Qur’an. In the verses preceding it, reference is made to the people who professed Iman and promised a life of obedience, but who, when the hour of trial came, proved unequal to the task. Some neglected the call of the hour and betrayed the cause. Others refused to sacrifice their lives and riches in the cause of Allah. The Qur’an, after criticizing their insincerity, makes it clear that Iman is a contract, a form of pledge between man and God. It does not consist in a mere profession of belief in Allah. It is an acknowledgement of the fact that Allah alone is our Lord, Sovereign and Ruler and that everything that man has, including his own life, belongs to Him and must be used in accordance with His directives. If a Muslim adopt a different course, he is insincere in his profession of faith. Only those who have really sold their lives and all that they possess to God and who follow his dictates in all spheres of activity can be called true Believers.
IslamRe: Islam And Exorcism by babs787(m): 7:41pm On Jan 02, 2009
The place of exorcism

1. The house must be clean devoid of pictures or statues to give room for the entrance of Angels.

2. Removal of musical instrument and prevention of music in the house.

3. Expulsion of men wearing gold or badly dressed women

The possessed.

1.He must be bathed and his hair combed.
2. His cloth must be clean
3.Charms, amulets or talisman must be removed from his body and destroyed.
4.He and his family member must be educated on Aqeedah (Islamic belief system) so as to free their hearts from other things beside Allah.

5.They should also be acquainted with the Islamic method of exorcism as against the prohibited methods of the magicians and religious bigots among the Muslims, Christians and other religionists.

6.If the possessed is a lady, her whole body must be covered and tied so that she is not uncovered during the exorcism.

7.The exorcist should not be carried out except with one of the relatives of the lady.
The possessed must be asked some questions top ascertain the type of things she used to see during wakefulness and sleep or other experiences.

The Exorcist

Exorcism can be carried out by a single person or more. It is preferable that it is done by more than one because the power of Satan is weakened by more upright Muslims. Whoever wants to exorcise must possess the following attributes for a successful exorcism:

1.He must possess the correct Aqeedah.
2.He must be a true monotheist in speech and actions.
3.He must have the certainty that the words of Allah have effect on jinn and devil.
4.He must have comprehensive understanding about the workings of the jinn and Satan
5.He should know the ways by which Satan influences men
6.It is preferred that he is married.
7.He should be someone distant from what Allah has forbidden which could make Satan to gain control of men.

8.He must be very steadfast and have reliance on Allah.
9.He should not be involved in any kind of innovation in religion
10.He should be among those who remember Allah in all their actions
11.He should purify his intention to do exorcism for the sake of Allah only.
12.He should have been fortifying himself with recommended fortifications.
13.He should be obedient to Allah in order to shame Satan
14.He should pray to Allah for assistance
15.He should perform ablution and along with those with him.

Outcome of the exorcism

After the necessary prayer and things have been done, it is either the jinn comes out and run away in its invisible form or that it appears. It is better for the exorcist to have the intention of the invisible form to save him from unnecessary trouble. The prophet (saw) was reported to have said, ‘do not for meeting the enemy’ and Allah says ‘verily, Satan is an open enemy to you’.

If the jinn prefers to speak before going out, he may shake the possessed and talk on his/her tongue in any language the jinn understands. The readiness of the jinn to surface or exit could be detected by any of the following signs on the possessed person:

1.Closure of the eyes, or staring, gazing or continuous fast blinking or covering the eyes with hands.

2.Shivering in the body or slight shivering of the lips.
3. Total trembling of the body
4.Shrieking, shouting or yelling.
5.Shouting the name of the possessed.

When the situation occurs, the exorcist will converse with him and ask him the following questions”

What are your name and religion?
Why did you enter this body?
Is there anyone with you in this body?
Where did you reside in this body?

How to deal with a Muslim Jinn

The case of believing jinn is special because he has faith in Allah. He might receive admonition if he is informed about the ruling of Islam and get out.

The exorcist must find out from him the cause of the possession. If it is an injustice from the person, the jinn must be pacified that the person could not see them and it is unintentional and it is not right for him to be punished for what he did mistakenly. If the possession is due to infatuation from the jinn, he should be informed that it is not allowed for him or her to do so and it would be a punishment on the Day of Judgment.

If the jinn is benefited by the admonition and desires to go out, it is not wrong if we make him to take oath that he will go out in obedience to Allah and His Messenger and that he will not com back to that body again and if he should break the oath, the curse of Allah, the angels and generality of men should be on him and Allah should bear witness. He must be asked about the part through which he is going to depart. He could be allowed to depart through the mouth, nostrils, ear, fingers or toes. He should also be told say Assalam Alaikum before his final exit. He must not be allowed to depart through the eyes, stomach, and throat. His departure should be confirmed by repeating the prayers because most of them are liars.

How to deal with unbelieving Jinn

The first assignment on the path of the exorcist is to preach Islam to the jinn in a reasonable and comprehensive manner. He should be advised to accept Islam voluntarily and not by compulsion. If he accepts Islam, command him to repent and the peak of his repentance is to leave the body of the possessed. If the jinn insist on his religion, tell him to get out. If he departs, praise is due to Allah but if not, there is no problem if he is beaten but it must be ascertained that the beating is falling on the jinn and the pain is not affecting the possessed person.

On beating the jinn to cure the possessed person, Shaykh Ibn Taymeeyah said in Risaalatul Jinn, ‘consequently, curing a possessed person and the removal of the jinn may require that the afflicted individual be beaten many times. However the blows fall on the jinn and the possessed human does not feel them. When a demented person regains consciousness after a beating, he often inform those present that he did not feel anything and that it did not have any effect on his body. Even when some are struck over three or four hundred times with severe blows on their feet, the effects which would normally kill a man, only the jinn feel it. The jinn will scream and yell, and inform those present about many things.

Ibn Qayyim, the student of Shayk Ibn Taymiyah said, ‘often the shaykh would recite in the ear of the insane: Afa Hasibtum anna maa Khalaqnaakun ‘Abathan wa annakum ilaynaa laa Tur’jauun .’Do you imagine that we created you in jest and that you would not return to us? (Quran 23 v 115).

This verse was read into a madman’s ears and the possessing spirit said a drawn out voice ‘yeeeeeeeeeees’. so he took a stick and beat the man on the veins of his neck until his arm became fatigued from hitting and those present were sure that the man was dead from the beating. During the beating it cried out, ‘I love him’. The shaykh said, ‘he does not love you’. It said ‘I want to make hajj with him’. The shaykh said, ‘he does not want to make hajj with you’. It said, ‘I would leave him in your honour’. He replied; no do so in obedience to Allah and His Messenger’. It said, ‘then I will eave him’. The madman sat up, looked left and right and said, ‘why did I come to the honourable shaykh?’ those present said to him, ‘what about the beatings you have received?’ He asked, ‘for what would the shaykh beat me when I have not committed a sin?”

Chapter of the Quran which have strong effects on the jinn should be recited on the jinn. These surahs are the one which mention the jinns and the punishmwent of the hereafter. They include Kursiy, Suratul Yasin, As-Saaffat, Ad-Dukhan, al-Jinn, end of suratul Hashr, Humazah etc. if it agrees to leave, the punishment either with the Quran or beating should be stopped and it should be commanded to leave after taking oath not to return.

IslamRe: Sufism In Islam. Share Your Opinions With Us. by babs787(m): 9:17pm On Dec 29, 2008
@trukoments

i've attended the garthering in london where people of differnt age, color and nationality go every friday to recite istigfar and la ilaha ila lah, in fact it was very good, i pray Allah not to remove us from the garthering of people who recites la ila ila lah always.
Quran 2 v 170: And when it is said unto them:"Follow that which Allah hath revealed"They say:"Enough for us is that which we found our fathers." What! Even though their fathers were simply unintelligent and had no guidance?

"If you were to follow most of them on earth they will lead you away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture, they do nothing but lie." (Al-Anam 6:116)

Muhammad (Saw) said the following: "Islam started as something strange, and it would go back to being strange, so good tidings for the strangers." (Muslim) and in another narration, "So give glad tidings to the strangers, those who put right what the people have corrupted of my Sunnah." (Tirmidhi)

Its good to be in the gathering of people reciting LA ilaha IlaLah but not in the party of those that associate other things to it thinking that they are making Islam look good.

I think we need to know what Bidiah is all about.

The Holy prophet (saw) in one Hadith says: " The best speech is the book of Allah and the best path to follow is the path of Mohammed (saw) and the worst things are the innovations and every innovation is an error" (Muslim)

In the extract from Faith al-Bari the most authentic commentary on Bukhari further clarifies the concept of Bid'a.

"Innovation is that which does not have its origin in the Shariah and anything that does not have an origin in Shariah is an innovation."

Imam Shatbie in his book "Al-Ithisam" has defined Bid'a as follows: "A way invented in religion that resembles the Shariah yet the purpose of following it contradicts the purpose of Shariah." So it is a way, which is not in consonance and agreement with the Shariah but against its spirit. This is why the Prophet (saw) so strongly condemned Bid'a. The Innovator is thrusting something new in the religion yet it violates the spirit of religion.

Abdullah Ibn Abbas narrates the messenger (saw) said, "Whatever Allah has made permissible is halal and whatever he has forbidden is Haram and anything else not mentioned is excused." (Abu Dawad).

furthermore someone posted that the holy prophet did not do such and such when he was alive,i would ask the person this, did the holy Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) drive or ride in a car?did he open an account in the bank?,if not why do you have to do it if he did not do those things, think, !
We have two types of Bidah: Innovation in belief and Innovation in action

Innovation in belief is the belief contrary to the Sunnah and Holy Quran which came into being after the blessed age in which Qadriyyah and Tijanniyah happen to be part of it.

Brother, I have lots to say but do not want to wash our dirty linen outside and Olabowale has answered you.

Who be your friend? my friend!
We are still friend despite the difference in religion? I read you typed my friend, showing that I am still your friend despite the fact that you jumped the fence cheesy

It is highly magnanimous of you to find it in your heart of hearts to consider the likes of me as a "friend" even though we have opposing beliefs or opinions, at least we can agree to disagree. Wink As much as I disagree that Allah would touch my heart I would rather pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ would open your eyes including that of all other Muslims on this forum and beyond to see the light of the everlasting gospel and to see Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour in Jesus' name.
Brother mi ara Ibadan cheesy, I am already saved. I believe in Jesus as he ought to be believed in my Quran and even in your bible. Jesus didnt tell anybody that is the saviour nor that anybody that accept him as same would be saved but told a man that he must keep the commandment in order to have life. If truly there is something called BLOOD ATONEMENT, he would have told the man to accept him as personal savior. THIS goes to show that Jesus believe in what was revealed to Moses hence his statement that he didnt come to annul any law but to fulfil it. Jesus didnt bring the commandments he told them to follow but Moses did that but funny how you people shove OT aside claiming and laying hold to only the NT.

Abraham, Isaac, Jacob were not Christians or you have where you could serve me that and I would give you verses saying they are Muslims. Jesus too is a muslim and could serve you verses on same as well.

And remember that the Lord would grant you a prosperous and happy new year. The year 2009 A.D. after the Lord Jesus Christ. Also remember to check your birth certificates and today's date as it shows the evidence of the years after the Lord Jesus Christ. Tongue Jesus Christ is still Lord. Grin
Brother, one thing I need you to understand is that. I never deny his prophethood and we Muslims hold him in high esteem but to be factual, there is nowhere in your book he told you to worship him, take him as your personal lord, where he said he came to die for your sins etc

Jesus is a Muslim as well as those before him?

Thank but you should know that delay is very dangerous. cheesy

Sallam alaikum fellow brothers and Sisters. We would like you to share your opinions with us about sufism in Islam.
Well, to my own understanding I think sufism is another step forward of knowing more about our God through teribiya and terikia. Sufism is widely known among muslims in africa(naija, senegal, gambia egypt etc). it is also practice in india, turkey and many other places around the world. But the way it is practice is totally different from each other. What is your opinion about sufism?
The difference in practice shows that you need to be careful in supporting Sufism as Sunnah and Bidiah cannot stand together.

IslamRe: The Numerical Contradictions In The Quran by Backslider by babs787(m): 8:14pm On Dec 28, 2008
@Kuns

In Koran 17: 110 it says and I quote in part "Neither speak thy prayer aloud". Yet, Azaan , is sung aloud from each Mosque or Minaret!
Adhan is the call to prayer in Islam and not the prayer itself. Iqamah is the call for prayer i.e, when prayer is about to start.

In the same verseKoran 17: 110 it says and I quote "Nor speak in a low tone" Yet you whisper when making Sunnah Salat.
17:110 Say (unto mankind): Cry unto Allah, or cry unto the Beneficent, unto whichsoever ye cry (it is the same). His are the most beautiful names. And thou (Muhammad), be not loud-voiced in thy worship nor yet silent therein, but follow a way between.

The area of discussions are:

1. be not loud voiced
2. nor yet silent
but follow a way between

1. Be not loud voiced.
Now there are particular prayers in which you have to recite the Surahs silently. Such prayers are Zuhri, Asri respectively

2. Nor yet silent
There are prayers that you need to recite the Surahs loudly such as the Subhi, first two rakahs of Maghrib and the first two rakahs of Ishai respectively.

3. But follow a way between
Now Allah commanded that we should follow a way inbetween in the sense that we should not recite loudly when its time to be recited silently and not silently when its to be recited loudly.

Example is when observing Maghrib prayer, you recite loudly in the first two rakahs and recite the last rakah silently.

Also the Ishai, evening prayer has four rakahs, you recite the first two rakahs loudly but the last two silently.

The bible and Koran have many contradictions in them because all their stories were palgarisied from other cultures, that pre-date the Torah (old testament of the bible) by many thousands of year.
Do you care to share part of the contradictions
IslamRe: The Numerical Contradictions In The Quran by Backslider by babs787(m): 7:43pm On Dec 28, 2008
@Backslider

There are many numerical contradictions in the Quran. Can God make so much error in doing simple calculations?
Its a lie oga. You are the one making error. This very issue was raised in one of the threads and I explained in details to this my friend but funy how am seeing the same already thrashed issue here.

How many days did it take to create Heavens and Earth ?

Quran 7: 54 Your gurdian-Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in Six Days

Quran 10: 3 Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and earth in Six Days

Quran 11:7 He it is Who created the heavens and earth in Six Days
Quran-25:29: He Who created the heavens and earth and all that is between, in Six Days

The above verses clearly state that God created the heaven and Allah created the heaven and the Earth in 6 days.
The above says heavens and earth in 6 days, meaning the creation of both the heavens and earth including everything attaching to them.

But the verses below stated-
Okay, let me read form you

Quran 41: 9 Is it that ye deny Him who created the earth in Two Days ?
The above says that Allah created the earth in two days (mind you, creation of heaven was not included in the above verse).

Quran 41: 10 He set on the (earth) Mountains standing firm high above it, and bestowed blessing on the earth, and measured therein all things to give them nourishment in due proportion, in FOUR DAYS…
Allah says He created what we have in the earth i.e mountains and bestowing blessings in four days. NOTE that creation of heaven is not included here.

The first verse is on the creation of earth alone which was 2 days
The second on the creation of earth INCLUDING mountains etc was 4 days.

While the totality of the creation of both the earth and what we have in the earth i.e. mountains made up the four days.

Quran 41: 12 So He completed them (heavens) as seven firmaments in Two days and

The creation of heavens alone took 2 days ( earth was not involved here). The above was for only heaven.

Now do the math: 2(for earth) + 4(for nourishment) + 2 (for heavens) = 8 days; and not 6 days
Oga, go read for understanding and stop confusing yourself.

The totality of the creation of earth along with the mountains made up the four days. The creation of earth alone of is 2 days, while the inclusion of mountains etc took 2 days making four while that of heavens took another 2 days making total of 6. Let me analyze it for you below

Creation of only earth = 2 (without mountains etc)
Creation of mountains and other blessings = 2+2 = 4

Note: Creation of only the earth took 2 days while that of the blessings in it took another two days making up = 4 days
The creation of heavens took 2 days, making up 4 + 2 = 6 days in all.

Similar mistakes you can see in the verse: Quran 4: 11 - 12, and Quran 4: 176 in inheritance law. In these verses one can see the total property after adding all distributed parties adds up more than the available property, i.e., totals become more than 1 which are: 1.125 and 1.25. How come ? A gross mathematical errors, is not it ?

Allah’s Days Equal to 1000 Years or 50,000 Years?

Quran 22: 47 A day in the sight of the Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. Quran-32:5: To Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be a thousands years of your rekoning

Quran 70: for the angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a day the measure whereof is Fifty thousands years.

So, which one is it? Is the day of Allah equal to 1,000 earth years or 50,000 earth years?

NB
AS I HAVE QUOTED THE QURAN PLEASE QOUTE UT ALSO TO REFUTE ALL THIS SI THAT I CAN READ
Just like I said earlier, you only need to read for understanding. The above are not contradictions just like I explained the verses above.
IslamRe: Muslims: What Did You Learn In Islam Recently? by babs787(m): 7:09pm On Dec 27, 2008
Teaching from the wisdom of Lukman

Assallam Alykum waramatulahi wabarakatu?

Wisdom
provides us with the capacity to solve real life problems. So, acquiring wisdom becomes a must if we want to live meaningful lives. As we live through life and its experiences, it is vital that we reflect on such experiences to make our subsequent steps in life easier. As Immanuel Kant, a famous philosopher said that

“Science is organized knowledge. Wisdom is organized life.”
So, if wisdom enables a person to make more sound decisions, take a shortcut path to success, recalibrate values for the better, and simply live a better life, then why not spend time reflecting on our own experiences as well as learning from others? As Will Durant, a renowned philosopher and Pulitzer Prize winner stated, “A wise man can learn from another man’s experience; a fool cannot learn even from his own.”

The words of the Quran and teachings of our prophet Muhammad guide us to a wealth of wisdom and knowledge. In fact, Allah calls Quran the “Book of wisdom” in many places in the Quran. He says: “A.L.R. These are the ayats of the Book of wisdom.” (Yunus, Chapter #10, Verse #1). The Almighty also says: “We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in order that ye may learn wisdom.” (Yusuf, Chapter #12, Verse #2)

Quran emphasizes the importance of wisdom throughout its text. Allah sent prophets and messengers to propagate that wisdom. He says in one of such verses: “A similar (favor have ye already received) is that We have sent among you a Messenger of your own, rehearsing to you Our Signs, and sanctifying you, and instructing you in Scripture and wisdom, and in new knowledge.” (Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #151)”

In its text, Quran also teaches wisdom through the words of a person named Luqman. Although not a prophet, Allah had granted him enormous wisdom. He was wise enough to have an entire chapter named after him. He was a pious person and according to the Quran was granted wisdom by Allah. As Allah says in the Quran: And indeed We bestowed upon Luqman AlHikmah (wisdom and religious understanding, etc.) saying: “Give thanks to Allah,” and whoever gives thanks, he gives thanks for (the good of) his ownself. And whoever is unthankful, then verily, Allah is All Rich (Free of all wants), Worthy of all praise. (Luqman: 12)

In his book “Stories of the Prophet”, Ibn Katheer writes that Luqman’s real name was known as “Luqman Ibn ‘Anqa’ Ibn Sadun” or according to some “Luqman Ibn Tharan” who was from among the people of Aylah ( Jerusalem ) (Stated by As-Suhaili from Ibn Jarir and Al-Qutaibi). Some accounts describe him as an Ethiopian slave who worked as a carpenter. Because of his wisdom people went to him to settle their affairs and therefore he was also known to be a judge.

Although Quran makes no reference regarding him being as a prophet, it is narrated by some as described by Ibn Katheer in his book “Stories of the Prophet” that he was offered to become one. Ibn Katheer mentions, Sa’id said: I heard Qatadah as saying: It was said to Luqman: “How did you prefer wisdom to Prophethood when you were enabled to choose between them?” He said: “If Allah were to assign me with Prophethood, I would accept it and try hard to win His Pleasure, but He enabled me to choose. I feared of being too weak for Prophethood, so I chose wisdom.”

Luqman’s Wisdom

The following are the words of wisdom of Luqman as described in the Quran. Later, another section quotes his wisdom as narrated by other reliable narrators as mentioned by Ibn Katheer in his book “Stories of the Prophets”.

Luqman’s wisdom in the Quran

Luqman’s wisdom in the Quran is described in the context of him explaining it to his son. It is described in the Quran in the following verses.

Regarding not to associate anyone in the worship and oneness of Allah –
And (remember) when Luqman said to his son when he was advising him: “O my son! Join not in worship others with Allah. Verily! Joining others in worship with Allah is a great Zoolm (wrong) indeed. (Quran: Luqman: 13)

Being dutiful to ones parents –

And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination. (Quran: Luqman: 14)

Being dutiful to ones parents except where they tell you to deviate from the Right path –
But if they (both) strive with you to make you join in worship with Me others that of which you have no knowledge, then obey them not, but behave with them in the world kindly, and follow the path of him who turns to Me in repentance and in obedience. Then to Me will be your return, and I shall tell you what you used to do. (Quran: Luqman: 15)

Every person is accountable for everything that he does – \
“O my son! If it be (anything) equal to the weight of a grain of mustard seed, and though it be in a rock, or in the heavens or in the earth, Allah will bring it forth. Verily, Allah is Subtle (in bringing out that grain), WellAware (of its place). (Quran: Luqman: 16)

Enjoining Prayers
“O my son! perform AsSalat (prayers), enjoin (people) for Al-Maroof (Islamic Monotheism and all that is good), and forbid (people) from AlMunkar (i.e. disbelief in the Oneness of Allah, polytheism of all kinds and all that is evil and bad), and bear with patience whatever befalls you. Verily! These are some of the important commandments ordered by Allah with no exemption. (Quran: Luqman: 17)

Do not be arrogant and proud
“And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah likes not each arrogant boaster. (Quran: Luqman: 18)

Be humble and lower your voice
“And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the voice (braying) of the donkey.” (Quran: Luqman: 19)

Other words of wisdom from Luqman (not narrated in the Quran) [ibn Katheer]

Luqman on being granted respect and honor

Narrated Ibn Wahb: I was told by ‘Abdullah Ibn ‘Ayyash Al-Fityani after’ Umar, the freed slave of ‘Afrah as saying: “A man came to Luqman, the wise and asked: Are you Luqman? Are you the slave of so and so? He said: “Yes!” The man said: You are the black shepherd! Luqman said: As for my black color, it is obviously apparent, so what makes you so astonished? The man said: You became frequently visited by the people who pleasingly accept your judgments! Luqman said: 0 cousin! If you do what I am telling you, you will be like this. The man said: What is it? Luqman said: Lowering my gaze, watching my tongue, eating what is lawful, keeping my chastity, undertaking my promises, fulfilling my commitments, being hospitable to guests, respecting my neighbors, and discarding what does not concern me. All these made me the one you are looking at.”

Lowering of the gaze usually refers to not looking at men / women (other than your spouse) with a bad desire and to look at them only for valid reasons as prescribed in the religion. Refer to Islam-qa.com for detailed explanation on this topic.

Luqman on the value of Wisdom
Narrated Damurah after As-Sariy Ibn Yahia as saying: Luqman said to his son: “O my son! Verily, wisdom has brought the indigent to the courts of kings. ”

Luqman on propagating wisdom to others and to take it seriously when given by others I was told by my father after ‘Amr Ibn ‘Uthman after Damurah Ibn Hafs Ibn ‘Umar as saying: “Luqman placed a bag of mustards beside him and started to advise his son, giving him with every piece of advice a mustard till it all ran out. He said: O my son! I gave you advice that if a mountain was given, it would split………”

Luqman on the need to have a pleasing tongue and sound heart
Yazid Ibn Hamn and Waki’ told us after Abul AShhab after Khalid Ar-Rab’i as saying: “Luqman was an Ethiopian slave who worked as a carpenter. One day, his master ordered him to slaughter a goat and bring him the most pleasant and delicious two parts thereof. Luqman did so and brought him the tongue and heart. The master asked: Did not you find anything more pleasant than these? Luqman said: No! After a while, the master ordered him to slaughter a goat and to throw the most malignant two parts thereof. Luqman slaughtered the goat and threw the tongue and heart. The master exclaimed and said: I ordered you to bring me the most delicious parts thereof and you brought me the tongue and heart, and I ordered you to throwaway the most malignant parts thereof and you threw the tongue and heart, how can this be? Luqman said: Nothing can be more pleasing than these if they were good, and nothing can be more malicious than these if they were malignant.”

Luqman on “Speech is silver and slince is golden”
Luqman said to his son: “O my son! I have never regretted because of keeping silent. If words are silver, silence is golden.”

Luqman on the need to have kindness, mercy and love for others
Abu Mu’awiyah told us after Hisham Ibn ‘Urwah after his father as saying: “Wisdom dictates: O my son: Let your speech be good and your face be smiling, you will be more loved by the people than those who give them provisions.” And, he said: “It is stated in the wisdom -or the Torah - : “Kindness is the head of wisdom.” And, he said: “It is stated in the Torah: “As you show mercy (to others), mercy will be shown to you.”

Luqman on giving
And, he said: “It is stated in the wisdom: “You will gain what you give (or, harvest what you grow).”

Luqman on friendships
And, he said: “It is stated in the wisdom: “Love your friend and the friend of your father.”

Luqman on patience, knowledge, and goodness
`Abdur Razzaq told us after Mu’amir after Ayyub after Abu Qulabah as saying: Luqman was once asked: Who is the best one in terms of patience? He said: It is the one who practices no harm after observing patience. Those who asked him said: Who is the best one in terms of knowledge? He said: It is he who adds to his own knowledge through the knowledge of others. They asked: Who is the best from among the whole people? He said: It is the wealthy. They said: Is it the one who has properties and riches? He said: No! But, it is the one if whose good was sought, he would not hold it back or prevent it. And, it is the one who does not need anything from others.

Luqman on the need to keep good company and to consult scholars
‘Abdullah Ibn Ahmed said: I was told by Al-Hakam Ibn Abu Zuhair Ibn Musa after Al-Faraj Ibn Fudalah after Abu Sa’id as saying: Luqman said to his son: “O my son! Let only the pious men eat your food, and consult the scholars over your affairs.”

Finally, wisdom in matters is one of the blessings that Allah grants to His creation. The Almighty says in the Quran: “He grants Hikmah to whom He pleases, and he, to whom Hikmah is granted, is indeed granted abundant good. But none remember (will receive admonition) except men of understanding.” (Quran: Al-Baqara: 269)

Note: Hikmah here refers to “Wisdom”

Starting with the meaning of who a Christian is will give you a better understanding of who the Crusaders are. I will quote the weblink below for you to peruse what misconceptions you have about the Crusades. The Crusades were defensive wars, a reaction to Jihad and were not fought by Christians.
To know the history behind the Crusades click on the weblink and also discover the differences between Mohammed and Christ, Jihad and the Gospel.

And remember to read it without your Islamic spectacles Tongue

Jihad - Supreme Efforts in the Way of Allah

Jihad means, exerting one's utmost power contending with an object of disapprobation, and this is of three kinds, namely, (1) with a visible enemy, (2) with Satan, and (3) with one's self.

The Quran teaches that when war breaks out, it should be waged in such a way as to cause the least possible amount of damage to life and property; and that hostilities should be brought to a close as quickly as possible.

22:40 Permission to fight is given to those against whom war is made, because they have been wronged - and Allah indeed has power to help them -

22:41 Those who have been driven out from their homes unjustly only because they said, 'Our Lord is Allah' - And if Allah did not repel some men by means of others, there would surely have been pulled down cloisters and churches and synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is oft commemorated. And Allah will surely help one who helps Him. Allah is indeed Powerful, Mighty -

60:9 Allah forbids you not, respecting those who have not fought against you on account of your religion, and who have not driven you forth from your homes, that you be kind to them and act equitably towards them; surely Allah loves those who are equitable.

60:10 Allah only forbids you - respecting those who have fought against you on account of your religion, and have driven you out of your homes, and have helped others in driving you out, that you make friends of them, and whosoever makes friends of them-it is these that are the transgressors.

61:11 O ye who believe! shall I point out to you a bargain that will save you from a painful punishment?

61:12 That you believe in Allah and His Messenger, and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your persons. That is better for you, if you did not know.

29:70 And as for those who strive in Our path-We will surely guide them in Our ways. And verily Allah is with those who do good.

9:20 Those who believe and emigrate from their homes for the sake of God and strive in the cause of Allah with their property and their persons have the highest rank in the sight of Allah. And it is they who shall triumph.

9:111 Surely, Allah has purchased of the believers their persons and their property in return for the Garden they shall have; they fight in the cause of Allah, and they slay and are slain - a promise that He has made incumbent on Himself in the Torah, and the Gospel, and the Qur'an. And who is more faithful to his promise than Allah? Rejoice, then, in your bargain which you have made with Him; and that it is which is the supreme triumph.

4:96 Those of the believers who sit still, excepting the disabled ones, and those who strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their persons, are not equal. Allah has exalted in rank those who strive with their wealth and their persons above those who sit still. And to each Allah has promised good. And Allah has exalted those who strive above those who sit still, by a great reward.
Jihad by preaching word of Allah

Quran 25 v 52: So obey not the disbelievers but strive against them (by preaching) with utmost endeavors with it (the Quran)

Quran 22 v 78: And strive hard in Allah's cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all you efforts that his name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey his message of Islamic monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion of Islam) and Has not laid upon you a religion of any hardship.

The above verse is saying that Jihad is performed through preaching ALLAH's word.

Quran 8 v 72: Verily, those who believed and emigrated and strove and fought with their property and their lives in the cause of Allah as well as those who gave ( them) assylum and help, these are (all) allies to one another and as to those who believe but did not emigrate (to you o Muhammed) you owe no duty of protection to them until they emigrate but if they seek your help in religion, it is your duty to help them except against a people with whom you have a treaty of mutual alliance and Allah is the All seer of what you do.

Personal Jihad: This is the most important form. This type of jihad, called the Jihadun-Nafs, is the intimate struggle to purify one's soul of evil influences -- both subtle and overt. It is the struggle to cleanse one's spirit of sin. In a brochure, the Institute of Islamic Information & Education describes several different contexts in which The Qur'an (the Islamic Holy Book) and the Hadith (the collected sayings of Muhammad) use the word "jihad" to refer to personal struggles:
Putting "Allah ahead of our loved ones, our wealth, our worldly ambitions and our own lives."
Resisting pressure of parents, peers and society; strive against "the rejecters of faith, " (Quran 25:52)
", strive and struggle to live as true Muslims, "
Striving for righteous deeds."
Spreading the message of Islam. "The (true) believers are only those who believe in Allah and his messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their selves for the cause of Allah. Such are the truthful." (Quran, 49:15)
bullet Verbal Jihad: To strive for justice through words and non-violent actions. Muhammad encouraged Muslims to demand justice in the name of Allah. When asked: "'What kind of jihad is better?' Muhammad replied, 'A word of truth in front of an oppressive ruler!'" 3 According to the Institute of Islamic Information and Education: "The life of the Prophet Muhammad was full of striving to gain the freedom to inform and convey the message of Islam. During his stay in Makkah [Mecca] he used non-violent methods and after the establishment of his government in Madinah [Medina], by the permission of Allah, he used armed struggle against his enemies whenever he found it inevitable."

Physical Jihad: This relates to the use of physical force in defense of Muslims against oppression and transgression by the enemies of Allah, Islam and Muslims. Allah commands that Muslims lead peaceful lives and not transgress against anyone. If they are persecuted and oppressed, the Qur'an recommends that they migrate to a more peaceful and tolerant land: "Lo! Those who believe, and those who emigrate (to escape persecution) and strive (Jahadu) in the way of Allah, these have hope of Allah's mercy, " (Quran, 2:218). If relocation is not possible, then Allah also requires Muslims to defend themselves against oppression by "fighting against those who fight against us." 2 The Qur'an states: "To those against whom war is made, permission is given [to defend themselves], because they are wronged - and verily, Allah is Most Powerful to give them victory." (22:39) The defensive nature of physical jihad (or "jihad with the hand"wink is frequently lost among many, Muslims, Christians, secularists and others.

@Chenry
Lagos Boy,  Show me where in the New Testament you have a command to kill unbelievers? There is no where it is written.
Are there no killings in your book as commanded by God?
Are there no merciless killings?

You made reference to the crusades and all that, but were they successfulCompared to David and the Israelites in the old testament?? Were they in alignment with the New Testament? At a time the Israelites had to fight for the survival of their nation but that was in the old covenant. In the new covenant, it is no longer a physical battle but a Spiritual warfare. Christians are led by the new covenant.
Do you know history and what is this new covenant?

Now also tell me, back here in Nigeria. How many Churches have preached to their congregation on Sunday to go out and kill all infidels and straight from church they go on a massive slaughter of non christians. NONE.
Could please apply your above quote to Islam? Do you have it where Imams tell cogregation after Friday prayer to go ad kill unbelievers?

But this happens over and over again in the North where they are in the majority. They go on a killing spree right from the door step of their mosques. You see, it is embedded in the islamic religion, as proven from the verse I earlier quoted above.
Please to start with, are Muslims not killed in the NORTH as well? Do you know much about the first Jos crisis?

Islam is not the solution. Jesus is the only way to God. Serve him and you'll truly enjoy the Righteousness, Joy and Peace of God.
Serve Jesus ke when he told you that you should serve only God and do you have where he said you should worship and take him as your personal savior?

Mohammed is an agent of darkness that has lured millions of people worldwide to the path that leads to death and destruction. Shine Your Eye and Serve the only Living God.
I don't discuss with fool that lacks knowledge and doesn't want to learn. If you think your feather-weight brain has something reasonable to discuss with me tendering your facts, then you have me and not your infantile, unreasonable post.

Bring your questions, backing same with facts and Babs would discuss with you.

@GL

Permit me to contribute just a cent to your post:

@ Kola, what happened to "I and my father are one", "in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God", "he that has seen me has seen the father", i hope this doesn't start a trinity true/false argument.
This is the verse

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

30 I and my Father are one

If you read from the beginning (28), you would see that Jess said that the father is greater than him and even in verse 29 tha He is greater than all of the.

Now can you interpret this verse for me"

John 17:20-22 "That the ALL may be made ONE. Like thou Father art in me, I in thee, that they may be ONE in us. I in them, they in me, that they may be perfect in ONE".

Are we saying Jesus including the disciples are same and ONE?
Have you studied John 1v1 very well particularly Hotheos and Tontheos?

Hajj: Enhancing God Consciousness

(These two adversaries have become engrossed in contention about their Lord. For the unbelievers garments of fire shall be cut out; and scalding water will be poured over their heads, melting all that is in their bellies and their skin. In addition, there will be whips of iron for them. Whenever, in their anguish, they try to get out, they are returned there, and will be told: 'Taste the torment of fire.'

God will certainly admit those who believe and do righteous deeds into gardens through which running waters flow, wherein they will be adorned with bracelets of gold and pearls, and where silk will be their garment. For they were guided to the best of words; and so they were guided to the way that leads to the One to whom all praise is due.

The unbelievers who debar others from the path of God and the Sacred Mosque which We have set up for all people alike, both those who dwell there and those who come from abroad, Anyone who seeks to profane it by evildoing, We shall cause to taste grievous suffering. ) (Al-Hajj 22:19-25)

What we have in this passage is a scene of the Day of Judgment when the honor bestowed by God on His faithful servants and the humiliation suffered by the others are shown as though they are happening here and now. It is a violent scene with loud noises and bustling movement. The descriptive style imparts a sense of long duration, with ever renewing action raised before our imagination. We see garments being cut out and tailored, and fiercely boiling water being poured over the heads. Its temperature is so high that the moment it touches the heads of those at the receiving end, whatever is in their bellies is melted, as does their skin. We also see whips made of red-hot iron to flog those condemned to such punishment. The suffering is intensified and becomes unbearable. The unbelievers make a sudden move to try to escape all this torment, and try to get out of this endless distress, but they are fiercely returned into it. They are strongly rebuked and told: "Taste the torment of fire."

Our imagination continues to repeat this scene from its first movement right up to the point where the unbelievers are repelled when they try to escape. It then starts all over again. The only way to turn away from this self-repeating scene is to look at the other destiny portrayed in the surah. The starting point is that there are two adversaries contending about their Lord. We have just seen the sad end of those who refuse to believe in Him. The believers, on the other hand, are in gardens through which running waters flow. Their clothes are unlike those of the first group: they are made of silk. On top of these they have adornments and jewellery made of gold and pearls. God also guides them to the best of words and to the way leading to the One worthy of all praise. Thus, they encounter no difficulty either in word or in direction. Such guidance is a great blessing, because it gives them a sense of ease, comfort, and reassurance.

Such is the end of contention about God: people rank in two groups with two greatly different ends. Anyone who continues to argue about God, without knowledge, guidance, or a light-giving divine book — unsatisfied with the clear evidence of the truth God has given us — should reflect before he faces the inevitable end.

The surah moves on to speak about the unbelievers who turn people away from God's path and from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah. The reference here is to those who opposed the message of Islam when it started in Makkah, trying hard to turn people away from it. They were also confronting the Prophet and his companions who believed in Islam to debar their entry into the Sacred Mosque at the Ka`bah. It then speaks about the basis on which this mosque was founded when God assigned its building to Abraham (peace and blessings be upon him) and ordered him to call on all people to visit it for pilgrimage. Abraham's instructions were very clear: that this mosque must be established on the clear basis of God's oneness, so as to prevent any form of associating partners with God from being practiced in or near it. It was to be kept open to all people, whether they reside close to it or come from distant places. None is to be prevented entry, and none is to claim its ownership. The surah then outlines some of the rituals of pilgrimage and how they enhance people's consciousness and constant remembrance of God. It also stresses the need to protect the Sacred Mosque against any aggression by those who try to turn people away from it or change the basis on which it is founded. Those who fulfill their duties of protecting the purity of the faith are promised victory.

(The unbelievers who debar others from the path of God and the Sacred Mosque which We have set up for all people alike, both those who dwell there and those who come from abroad, Anyone who seeks to profane it by evildoing, We shall cause to taste grievous suffering.)

Such was the Quraysh's practice: they turned people away from the faith that He has established for mankind, providing a direct way to Him. They fought hard to prevent people from following the code He has chosen for human life. They also stopped Muslims from offering the pilgrimage and the `Umrah, as was the case in the sixth year of the Islamic calendar when the events that started with such prevention led to the signing of a peace agreement at Al-Hudaybiyah. God made this mosque an area of peace and safety for all people, where they may have no fear of anyone.

This applies to everyone living in Makkah, and to all those who come over from distant areas to visit the Mosque. Thus, the Ka`bah and the Mosque around it form a house of God where all people are equal. None can claim any right of ownership or any distinction whatsoever: (The Sacred Mosque which We have set up for all people alike, both those who dwell there and those who come from abroad).

This law that God has established for His Sacred House preceded all attempts by human beings to establish a sanctuary where no arms are allowed, opponents are safe, bloodshed is ended and everyone enjoys peace and security. No one may claim any favor for observing the

Lost Spiritual Pleasure

Love is one of the deepest, most intense emotions that a person can experience. It is also one of the most wonderful blessings that Almighty Allah has created for human beings in this world. People take great pleasure in the material and spiritual gifts that Allah has bestowed upon them; they take pleasure in beautiful views, comfortable houses, and fine cooking. But none of these satisfactions can compare with the happiness that love gives.

In order to experience love to the fullest, certain conditions are necessary. First of all, an individual must be able to see the good qualities in others and appreciate their fine points. The more open an individual's mind and conscience, the stronger his or her ability to love. However, such ability can only be attained through faith in and fear from Allah. Therefore, a person is able to experience love according to the measure of his or her faith and piety; to that extent, the individual will take pleasure in it.

Similarly, for a person to love another, he or she needs to find lovable qualities in that person and again, these qualities arise from faith and fear of Allah. The deeper an individual believes in Allah and the more he or she fears Him, the more lovable qualities this person possesses. This is because the one who fears Almighty Allah has a good moral character; and along with the fear of Allah develops mercy, tolerance, reliability, courage, self-sacrifice, intelligence, and good conscience. All these qualities naturally create a deep and strong sense of love in the heart of anyone who sees with the eyes of faith. But if these conditions — faith and fear of Allah, which are the basis of love — are absent, then no one can experience true love.

The basic source of the love that believers feel for others is their love of Allah. The knowledge that Almighty Allah creates the joy that comes from their heart-felt love for others, as a manifestation of Himself, gives that love its depth.

However, since the love of disbelievers is founded on their expectation of gain, they can never truly experience love. They love only those who are useful to them, make them comfortable, and grant them favors. But such love rests on crumbling foundations and can never become sincere and heart-felt. In reality, they love themselves more than others and, thinking that they are more valuable than others, want others to do them favors, protect them, and take an interest in them.

As long as they get this attention, they feel a certain sense of love. But most often, this type of love does not make others happy or feel loved, for it is false and directed toward gain. Being no more than a polite pretense for the sake of other people's feelings, it ends when the goal is achieved. Naturally, they cannot show any sincere affection, no matter how often they express their love. All they can do is mouth the stereotyped words and phrases generally available for this purpose and used on special days set apart for expressions of love.

However, believers can express true love toward others with sincere, moving, and meaningful words, because the joy of love is alive in their hearts. Indeed, believers who sincerely honor and love their beloved ones will never do or say anything to harm them. Above all, this type of love does not depend upon circumstances or any expected reward. It is Almighty Allah alone Who will reward true love, for its sole purpose is to win His favor.

Disbelievers think that love grows weak over time because of mutual boredom and loss of enthusiasm. Of course, many relationships end this way among the disbelievers, for their love was based upon falsity and was never true.

In true love, on the other hand, time always plays a positive role, for it enables each person to appreciate the other's compassion, mercy, generosity, consideration, self-sacrifice, and other good qualities. Their love grows stronger over time as their personalities, moral understanding, and attitudes develop toward perfection. There is never any boredom or frustration in this kind of love with which good looks, material means, and prestige become irrelevant. The only important thing is the beloved's moral character.

In contrast, judging everything by material standards, disbelievers suffer great material loss when that foundation collapses.

In fact, disbelievers have broken faith in their hearts; therefore they live in a loveless world and cannot derive pleasure from the aspects that naturally bestow joy to the human spirit. More importantly, since they cannot know true love and how to love and be loved, they will not experience this blessing in Paradise either, which is a place filled with the never-ending love of Allah. There, people will know how to love and taste the eternal joy of being loved. In the Qur'an, Almighty Allah tells us of the blessings that await believers in Paradise as a reward for their good moral character. One of these will be a passionate love shared by two partners.

[On lined couches, reclining on them face to face. There will wait on them immortal youth with bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring, wherefrom they get no aching of the head nor any madness.

And fruits such as they choose, and flesh of fowls that they desire. And [there are] fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, like unto hidden pearls as a reward for what they used to do.

They will hear neither vain speaking nor recrimination. All that is said is "Peace! Peace!"

And the Companions of the Right Hand: What of the Companions of the Right Hand? Amid thornless lote trees, fruit-laden acacias, wide-spreading shade, gashing water, and fruits in abundance never failing, neither out of reach nor yet forbidden, and on elevated couches; lo! We [Allah] have created them a [new] creation and made them virgins, lovers, friends, for the Companions of the Right Hand .] (Al-Waqi`ah 56:15-38 )

Salam. May Allah increases your knowledge. The unbelievers would never succeed in their plots. I see no reason why they should go that extent to deceive people if really their belief is the truth. It further shows that Islam is the only way to Paradise, unbelievers may deny it but Babs is still around to discuss with unbelievers.

If truly their belief is the way, they dont have to go that far deceiving people to lead them astray. It further strenghtens my belief in ISLAM.
