Ha children!
How I did it without committing murder only God knows grin grin grin
Children will irritate your last nerve
How many times did I reach with one hand from the driver's seat to give someone a knock on their head and they will dodge grin
How many times did I threaten to park on the side of the road and punch somebody grin
How many times did I swear that I would never ever go out to the store with them again grin

I have two sets of kids separated by some years

The older group gives me great comfort that they do eventually turn out right wink so all our screaming is not in vain grin

So OP,people have given you many good tips here
Do some of your shopping with the kids at home and save yourself the headache.
You can hardly reason or bargain with an 18 month old or two year old, once in a while they will be naughty, comes with that territory

They do grow up eventually trust me,they do wink
This season shall pass
Just today I was sorting out clothes for Salvation Army and came across a long forgotten bag in the attic with my son's baby's clothes shocked shocked
I took a picture of his little baby shoes awwwwwww!!!
I was filled with nostalgia reminiscing
Enjoy the babies sweetie

Cheers.

X-factoria:
I am going to kick some butts here but I must ask this question because this incidence has left me confuse.

Are people from the south-east supposed to respect elders?

I'm asking because, in Lagos, it is normal to see Igbo people disrespecting elders and I'm wondering why it is an issue in Chris Anyanwu's feud with Rochas Okorocha.

No tribal bashing intended. Just a honest question.

This is a very ignorant statement
Na persin do una this thing?
Eh?

Politics / Re: Ogun State Release 20 Prisoners; 3 Commuted To Life. by babymama3: 6:57pm On Dec 31, 2012
Is this good news or bad?
How are the citizens supposed to feel about 20 criminals who have had years to fine tune their trade released to the streets
Unless if these folks committed petty non violent crime or are innocent people convicted wrongly,I say send them back and start counting grains of corn from a corn cob before they are released
Politics / Re: Igba Of Warri (Lori-Ogbebor) Rejects Uduaghan’s Christmas Gifts by babymama3: 6:49pm On Dec 31, 2012
saxywale:

That's a correct traditional ruler. He rejected a gift for a very good reason.

Unlike one bleaching King in Oyo state that rejected Akala's car gift in 2006 because he was given the same car as two other prominent Kings(his enemies) in the state, which he felt was insulting to him even after the governor made his son a local government chairman.

Now that you have brought this angle how do you know the gift wasn't rejected because the cow wasn't fattened enough?
Family / Re: Why Do We Wear New Clothes On New Year's Day? by babymama3: 6:37pm On Dec 31, 2012
Sammyfissy: This often baffles me now that i'm a bit mature. Anytime a new year is approaching when i was still much more younger i usually cry for new year clothes whenever my parents threaten to deny me. My dad will always give me a task whenever we resume for new session in school of which i have to do if i'm to wear new year clothes but now it has become a must do thing for both young and old people.
Does it really worth it?...whatcha say to this?

Thank you for reminding me
I need a new underwear to step into the new year

Family / Re: Unbelievable - My Mother Asked My Woman To Leave by babymama3: 6:06pm On Dec 31, 2012
debrief08: Let me digress a little, some years ago before I remarried my mother took the Bible and swore that if I did she will die.
After years of living in pain and misery to please others I wasn't faalling for emotional blackmail. We called her bluff. Her concern was losing her church position.
Anyway years later 2 grand kids after she is still alive and kicking.
My original church turned out to be more accepting and open, even though it was orthodox, Mama kept her position, because they were aware of the circumstances surrounding my marriage and divorce we had church blessings and were accepted as a communicant couple.
What is the point of my story? Do what is right and what gives you peace, God will never endorse misery, it will work ourt well in the end

I haven't known you a while here but I love reading your posts.
You are so full of wisdom and the way you share your life with others,I am certain there are people who are encouraged by your writings
Keep being you in a world with so many fakes

The day I got the news that a beloved family member had passed away suddenly right after another family member with another deathly sick in the hospital
I was driving and the tears were so heavy,I could hardly see
God felt so faraway
That was my worst day this year, having a feeling that God had forgotten you.
We witnessed many sorrows this year but thank God it ended well with so many things to be thankful for ,God proved himself in a mighty mighty way
Glory to his name
The year ended with a blast so I know the successes of 2013 already began

Family / Re: Unbelievable - My Mother Asked My Woman To Leave by babymama3: 5:27pm On Dec 31, 2012
YoungSalute: No.. She spent like 15 years outside Nigeria. And I spent about 9 years too outside Nigeria.

My woman is calm and homely.

What should I do, ask my mum to leave or keep the house boiling ?

Debrief and a few others have already spoken well
Your mother needs to know exactly how you feel about her nasty behavior towards your wife but please do it respectfully by telling her these things away from your wife's hearing.
You can even send wifey on an errand and tell her when to return so you can have all the time you need.

Tell her that you love your wife dearly and that she is a good wife to you and that nothing will change that
Tell her you love her as a mother dearly and that nothing will change that too
Be firm when you tell her these things without mincing words that she needs to stop the cruel treatment towards your wife or you will be forced to separate them two for your peace of mind and that the separation will mean sending her home for a while.
If she continues with the taunts, you need to send her home to go there and get herself together

Don't fall for that mama's blackmail

If you do nothing let me tell you exactly what will happen
your mother will continue with her ways and the satan fall down songs, she will intensify and one day that sweet and calm wife would have reached her wits end and will explode
That reaction may not be pleasant
She will will tell your mom in one day everything she has bottled in her for all the weeks and months
You will be emotionally shattered hearing your mom described in unspeakable terms

I am speaking now as a woman who had MIL problems similar to yours but who thankfully has moved past that and today my MIL is like my own mother
This is the time you as the husband needs to step up and squash this fast

All the best

Funny enuf:.....dis happens to be my church.

Was in church yesterday, when suddenly, I started noticing diff movement, side-talks, and funny displays of armed policemen around d church, den d service was fast-forwarded as if we rushing somwhere. Afterwards, d church leadership came in and some group went to switch-off the generator afterwhich trouble started.

Its was a pure show of shame as I av been a member for over 30yrs, now I know that we are all humans and religion is only secondary.

Anyway....my heart is still connected with my God as I wld be going there tonight to worship my true living God alone

CAC....one fold, one sheperd!!!

Please be careful o

TV/Movies / Re: The Revival Of Igbo Movies: Some Actors To Watch Out For! by babymama3: 4:30pm On Dec 31, 2012
afam4eva: I've noticed a sudden rise in Igbo movie production. I watched a movie titled "Ada Mbano" that was acted by Queen Nwokoye and it was good. She spoke Mbano throughout the movie. I also watched a movie titled "Nne Ife adigo" starring Kenneth Okonkwo, Patience Ozokwor, Chioma Chukwuka and Nuella Njubigbo.

I watched the English version first and thought it was a great movie till I watched it in Igbo
The way Kenneth Okonkwo speaks Igbo just kills me
Patience Ozokwor and her proverbs are something else

Chioma Chuwuka and Nuella Njuibigbo were excellent too.
That movie is a must see

Look for the movie Onye eze
It is one hilarious movie
There is this funny character there that is Nkem Owoh's partner in crime,he speaks with an Oguta- like accent
The man is a hoot

Nkem's wife was Ogechi nwanyi Owerre

Why are Ibadan folks so thuggish in nature?
Adebibu,Tokyo,eleweomo
Now the same Ibadan thugs have carried Bible, infiltrated into the house of God,chartered Combi van all the way to Lagos to go and cause commotion in a house of worship ?
For 20 solid years these rascals have held the Church captive with their rikichi
Na wa o
Somebody should warn those rascals to sit put in Ibadan metropolis and do their thuggery dia

Same way they divided the Methodist Church for years with an Idowu faction
