Nigeria Police is a curse on its own.
I never had an encounter with them until yesterday and today.

Permit me to relay what established tje encounter with them.

After arresting the culprit, they collected the #5,000 from him, they DCO removed #2,000 forcefully and gave us #3,000.
The IPO in charge of the case collected #1,000 from the remaining #3,000.

In short, we were made to pay #5,000 to arrest hoodlums that extorted #5,000 from us.
We wanted to create a scene there but the DCO was drunk beyond stupor and was already becoming aggressive and threatening to implicate us if we do not play along.

I see qhg Nigerian Police would qualify as the most corrupt Police in the world.

expired passport shouldn't be an excuse as long as they have a passport to identify. (those deported from other countries to Nigeria on thesame case nkor?)

International law does not allow travel without travel documents especially in this era of terrorism. How can you be sure the person is a Nigerian. The Airports are still controlled by South Africa.
What the Nigerian Embassy can do is to give temporary travel documents

The same thing happens during deportations. Even a corpse in a casket needs documents .

Lack of personal responsibility and self entitlement is one of the greatest barriers to progress in Nigeria and the black race generally.
