Foreign AffairsRe: Putin Launches World's Longest 70 km Underground Rail Line In Russia (Photos) by Backpedal: 7:15pm On Mar 02, 2023
DeLaRue:
Nigeria is certainly lagging behind and should be doing a lot better in.many areas.

But some of the countries people are quick to compare Nigeria with have more than 300-year headstart over Nigeria.

Comparison is good, but we also need to be realistic.

Today, the pace of change is so fast, and the first movers ie Western countries and now some Asian countries are so far ahead, I don't know how African countries will catch up. The world system, including globalisation, is also not in our favour.

Egypt is struggling badly. South Africa has not progressed much economically. Ghana is on its knees. Most African countries are basket cases.

These days, the more I look at the world in my private moments, the more I fear we may never catch up with the most successful/developed countries in the world.

Our systems and our minset as a people are far removed from what they need to be for us to develop, let alone catch up.

Our population is growing too fast, faster than our economy, which means the country can't even maintain the status quo in terms of standard of living, let alone improving it. Too many of our people are not being educated. Those who think they're educated did not receive the right education.

We have simply not set ourselves up to compete.

Makes me sweat when I think about all these things, as I desperately want the best for the tens of millions of struggling people who need and deserve better.
Thought provoking
PoliticsRe: Election Results For Rivers State Found In The Bush By A Student (Video) by Backpedal: 6:05pm On Mar 02, 2023
GeneralPulal:
Check this Ebonyi results below and you check the one op claimed a student saw in the bush, you’ll see they have the same pattern..

Igbos have high lie and deceit tendency, but unfortunately for them, they’re not that smart as they always claim to be. It’s easier to detect any propanganda they cooked up..

A student didn’t see any result anywhere. It was ipob that forged inec result sheet & write the result you’re seeing up there..

The tools they used for Biafra or death propaganda is what they’re using for this election..
What does this have to do with Igbos now?

Iamgrey5:
Even if a million votes were deducted from Tinubu's tally and added to yours, you will still lose the election to Tinubu.

You could only manage 25% in 16 states when you needed 25 states

I believe you want to use the emotions of your supporters as a currency to buy their loyalty till the next Elections.

ATIKU and even Buhari have been able to use the same mechanism in the past to remain relevant between election cycles.

I have always said Peter Obi is just like every politician in Nigeria, he is a very self-centered man who pretends to stand for everything and everyone but will always look after his own personal interest at the end of the day.

How then do you people claim not to support incompetent people? Make una dey take suffery suffery dey lie nau. Hian? huh huh

You have now looked very stupid

Uzodinma was 4th but supreme court made him the winner; I'm sure you didn't know that cos you are dull.

Ugwuanyi and co were sacked from going to the Senate because they have been useless

Ohakim forgot himself and lost to Okorocha who at the time was a better candidate

Sincerely, this current INEC have really tried. Let's give it up to them. No Election in the whole wide World has ever been 100% Perfect. Even the last almighty USA Election that brought in Joe Biden was massively faulted by more American internationally than this Nigeiran Election. Yet Joe was declared Winner.

For those that may not understand the Excellence of what INEC has done so far, do you know that till this very Day there are no official results for the 2007 Elections. Results from 11 States were announced and INEC declared Yaradua the winner with 24m votes. Yaradua a true Muslim that couldn't hide his surprised, wondered what happened when he has not gotten up to 35% of what Tinubu has now gotten and he was declared Winner.
Against all Odds, Tinubu has Won this Election already. He should be Declared Winner without any further Delay so that we can all now focus on how to make Nigeria to Progress.
Like if you Know that INEC has tried and much more Fair than USA Electrical Body did in their last Election, Share if not.

Oga rest. Nigerians own is not challenges, it's called corruption. Senatorial and House of Rep results were uploaded at the polling units, while presidential election results were not uploaded, that's calculated rigging. Some inec Rec were forced to sign some results at gunpoint, that's deliberate, not challenge. Soldiers were sent to help maintain law and order, yet they are nowhere to be found when ApC thugs were attacking other party stronghold, that's not challenge,it's deliberate.

Yorubaland cannot continue to be a testing ground for political correctness, we are not New York and can never be. We are tired of being mocked for being liberal
Democracy is simple

One man one vote

If you are insistent on your candidate winning by force; then it is no longer a democracy

Let me tell you APC major problem; especially here in Lagos; it is the sense of entitlement; patronage system they run and the type of politics they play

APC can EASILY win over majority of the voters in the state without the need for coercion; thuggery and the likes

But instead of doing that; it's to be resorting to threats and TRIBALISM
