It raised a lot of tension between the two tribes. So how does the view of one man echo the thinking of an entire ethnic group ? You see how stuppid the whole situation is ? |
Politics › Re: Tribalism Hidden In Foundations Of Our Country Have Come Out - Bolanle Olukanni by Backpedal: 8:57pm On Mar 19, 2023 |
lhordspy: Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.
During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.
Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.
How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.
Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)
At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob. To think this post has 360 plus likes means that indeed many of you are sick in this country; especially those of you support APC and the sham that occurred yesterday |

DoTheNeedful: Calling Lagos a no-mans land is disrespectful, bigoted and insensitive. It is clearly a statement of hate. We can all live peacefully with one another. However, we all need to be respectful of the plurality of Nigeria. The question is WHO called it a No Man's land ? Most Igbos didn't We only wanted to vote and be part of the electoral process in our own country But because the criminal organisation called APC have a win at all cost MENTALITY; they spread lies and propaganda; especially AFTER obi won in Lagos state It's all about grabbing power by all means for them; and they have done their worst. This video has clearly shown that Ameachi was one of the cabal working to sabotage this election. Might even be linked to suspicion of working towards an Interim National Government. See big time conspiracy. My sixth sense tells me that Ameachi and Emefiele worked on the naira scarcity to incite voters against APC. Thank God Wike frustrated their plans. Wike remains my hero of Southern Presidency in this era. Ameachi is a selfish useless man always betraying people in his party, first betraying GEJ and now Tinubu. N3TRAL: Democracy is the government of the people, by the people and for the people according to Abraham Lincoln.
It isn't necessarily through a ballot paper or a voters card.
The indigenous people chose their Governors today with sticks, machetes and bullets across Nigeria. In some communities there were chants of war songs and in other communities the rhythm came from heavy footsteps fleeing polling units with the speed of a horse.
It's Africa's version of democracy and I'm elated by the adventure that played before my screen. I couldn't ascertain my safety so I enjoyed the process from home.
Nigerians, lift your heads up high! You have tried as a people. Kudos to the people! What is this one saying? |

N3TRAL: The couple had a very disappointing experience and you could hear it in her voice. It's not a good thing that negroids are stereotyping ethnic groups within the race based on physical appearance.
If there's any race in the world that should unite, it's black people who are not rated anywhere apart from Sub Saharan Africa.
All hands must be on deck to foster national unity. The outcome of 2023 General Elections seems to be the further division of a hugely diversified country.
As long as you are Nigerian, you have the constitutional right to vote and be voted for anywhere in Nigeria.
I hope that my children grow up in a country where they are not discriminated because of their r/l factor, h factor, cone head, flat head or yam legs. I'm surprised u are saying this lol |

CSTRR: Tinubu does not need to pay her. A stable Nigeria regardless of the form it is, suits her interests perfectly.
And her interests supercedes tinubu's monetary rewards. How much can tinubu pay her that would make up for billion of pounds in IELTs fee, or thousands of doctors going there.
And that is because Nigeria is stable enough for people to pay for IELTs or skilled workers to immigrate.
She is playing a higher level game. A game of "don't rock the boat". true that |
