The story would definitely be debunked as unfounded and unproved even though it actually comes from one of your former atheist colleagues here who would have said the same thing if you were the one sharing the story.

What you actually need is not proof, because there are proofs everywhere, for even the air you breath is proof enough for you to know that God exists, but when you're proof-blind, such proofs would surely not exist to you because you'd not be able to see them.

So what you need is actually to be healed of your proof-blindness, otherwise you may never be able to see the overwhelming proofs of God's existence that's all around you.

The air I breathe is proof that air exists. And I know air exists because it can be measured and scientifically demonstrated. Far far better than your fake god who has zero evidence for himself. Plays hide and seek and relies on conartists like yourself to defend him on social media.

Forget these things. Depression is more serious than we probably think it is.

Chemical imbalances in the brain aren't a joke. Our brain is just like a computer that functions based on the information (hormones) fed into it (Only it actually feeds itself).

A depressed person usually feels he has nothing more to live for. Those things mentioned don't matter one bit. Even death doesn't seem bad anymore. But rather a way out to put their own body and mind and that of others at rest forever.

Once been there. Probably still am. Trust me, it's not nice.

And even all your fellow atheists and the likes couldn't come to your aid, but it was the same God whose name you blasphemed that healed you via a lady who afterwards told you to go back to God.

You must not only do that but also testify to fellow atheists as your former self that God which they don't believe exist healed you when all doctors and physicians couldn't.

And keep praying for the lady, that God blesses her for the great work that He had used her to do in your life.

And may the healing power of God's Spirit make you perfectly whole.

It's appalling how you religious apologists jump on issues like this to prove your god. Theists would run from providing objective proof. But will self-service on some random unproved and unfounded story from nowhere to prove their man-made inexistent powerless deity.

OP If you want to go back into believing. You're fine. Atheism is not a religion or ideology where anyone is forced to be part of.

In fact, 'Atheists' is just a plural word for a group of people who don't believe in God. Asides that, each Atheist you find is very unique from the next one.

People become Atheists for different reasons. Most commonly, due to open-mindedness and the lack of presentation of a proof. You seem to have found yours, which is good. Of course if I was also proved to that god does exists, I would begin worshipping him again.

But two things you should know;

1. Medicine is not an exact science.
2. Anecdotes are not proof. So while your story seems extraordinary, I have no reason to believe it.
