Hello,

Do I send IRCC a message via webform advising them that my admission has been deferred to January instead of September 7, 2021 as originally planned?

My visa approval mail arrived a few days ago, and IRCC received my passport via VFS yesterday, however I've decided to postpone my Seneca resumption to January because the timing is too close to meet the September 7 resumption date.
The institution has already sent me a letter of acceptance for January 2022.


Also, before leaving Nigeria, I'd prefer to be fully vaccinated.

Yes, I paid extra 150 cad. So I paid a total of 300k for both our applications. You should apply for visitor's visa instead of study permit for him. He's not of school age.

So here is my timeline and story.
2nd time applicant.
Previous rejection was based on financial assets and my dad was my sponsor but he had like 3m balance as at then sha.
February 13th,2021: Reapplied using my Dad's brother (uncle) as my sponsor.
February 25th: NSE request came in . It requested mbs and IELTS. I already had TOEFL and I honestly didn't want to write IELTS neither did have that funds sef. So I took time contemplating on whether to respond or just ignore. And also my uncle had travelled back to Europe and I didn't know how to start disturbing him again for MBS when I had already stressed him with the documents and account statements he had provided already.it even delayed his travel plans sef. Omo!

If your counterfoil is still showing valid on ur online Portal then you are good to travel. I'm sure the medical has been received on the backend but not been updated on ur portal. However, if the counterfoil is showing invalid then u need to keep trying to reach them

Thank you so much but I forgot to mention that my visa is already approved because I did upfront medical.
By the time my visa arrived my medical just had less than two months to expire and I wasn't ready to travel to Canada at the time.

Now that I am ready to travel, I have sent a renewed medical form but it has not still been updated.
I feel like I need to sort this out before travelling.

For those that travelled recently, have they officially cancelled the 3days mandatory hotel stay for those that are not fully vaccinated?

I think proof of payment of the accomodation and a letter from the family or friend stating that they have given you permission to stay at the accomodation for the quarantine period. Does the accomodation have a separate room where you can stay? Await input from others also

What does the family need to give me or prove so it can be approved to quarantine.

P.S: No elderly, health worker or kids living in the home.

It depends on your school, for some schools once you register for your courses you would be sent an enrollment letter, for some you have to get the letter by yourself through your student portal, while for others you might need to message the appropriate person in charge of that in the school to get it

So I arrived at MMA, all those serious looking bag boys carried my luggage, I think say them be better people until they told me I needed to buy yellow card 6 thousand naira that without the yellow card, I won’t be allowed to board or immigration will charge me 200 dollar, well I quickly made it clear to them that I came to the airport with no money atall not even dollar….I nor get money to waste.

Flight was by 11pm check-in started by 4PM they asked for my

School fees receipt


The airline staff (KLM) verified the documents, Omo one fyn woman..I nor just understand just squeeze face Dey say 3 weeks to resumption…Omo I being 1 faint …after snapping those documents I mentioned earlier, I was asked to bring my covid test result…then I realize I’m good to go ����

If you are traveling..buy snacks or anything put for your bag….hunger almost kill me.

So when I arrived Toronto airport; officer asked me if I have been accepted by the school I’m going to, I said yes, and he said if I have proof I told him yes and should him my acceptance letter.
He was observing the letter then I gave him my letter of introduction without him asking
Then he ask if I have paid my fee .. I told him yes and gave him my receipt…he observe the receipt and he said …oboy your admission letter say 15k then why did you pay 3k …..I just smile and said ….we are allowed to pay per the courses you are offering and I will be offering only 3 courses that’s why I paid 3k …..he just node head
So I told him I have my covid result…he asked me to bring it.
Then he started asking me some questions, Omo …I think the officer was looking at my file and asking me questions from there. I realize that when he called the name of my sponsor . And asked about his job. I told him every every.
So he ask if I have proof of funds….I told him my sponsor refused to give me (I forget to carry o)
Then final question..what will you be doing till your school resume….I told him quarantine
So he printed my study permit Nd SiN stuf …..Nd started advising me that I can work for 20 hours then holiday time, I can work for 40 hours….and I can go back to Nigeria for visiting (I just shake my head for my mind).
So that’s all….then I was walking down to the next part I started hearing…hello sir, hello sir , hello sir…..I didn’t bother looking back ….I nor believe say immigration officer go Dey call me sir….I finally looked back, it was d officer and he gave me one of my print out that I forgot with him ……


So I went to claim my baggage.
After that, I went to do covid test, then after that …went to one joint to wait for my shuttle to my hotel. Nice hotel nice view, Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.

After August 9th you're no longer required to do the 3day stop. You should be allowed to continue your journey regardless of your vaccination status the only exception would be if you have covid19 symptoms then you wouldn't be allowed to proceed.

Depending on the airline you may be able to change your flight to the next one available on arrival. Alternatively you can plan doing your 14days quarantine in Montréal if that appeals to you. At this point nothing is certain but just make sure you have an acceptable quarantine plan.

Meanwhile please don't forget to give us landing gist when you arrive.

My people please, for someone who lands in Toronto on August 10 but final destination is New Brunswick, how would the person go about the quarantine. Note, this person has his flight to New Brunswick booked 3 days after he lands Toronto due to the 3day hotel stopover....... Which would have been cancelled on August 9th

Means they are reviewing whether the documents you submitted qualify you to get the study permit. So if you pass you are qualified to get the visa. When did your Eligibility start?

I think it's better taking both in Nigeria or taking both when u get to Canada cause being half vaccinated doesn't exempt you from quarantine in Canada. My opinion
