Digest the information on Gov.Uk pertaining health and care and make sure you have the language test result, enough finance for the family, criminal record check (police check), tb test result for the family and other stipulated documents stated on your checklist…. Congratulations to you and your household�

Please, note that once the employer who issued the COS has ticked YES in the maintenance of your family, you do not require any fund to support your Partner VISA and the Child Dependant visa application.

Go and read through your checklist again. You must have ticked that box that says your education was taught in English instead of saying NO. If that was what you did, you would need your school transcript to show that your courses were done in English.

Alternatively, may be you need to explain in your feedback to UKVI

Is there a way to get/pay for same dates?

If the dependents are minors, You can pick the same dates for all if available. But if not, pick the earliest date for the primary applicants and other available dates for the dependent minors. Take your print out and that of the minors all together to TLS for your biometric.

Your own date and time will be used for all you together for the Biometrics.

This is a misrepresentation. Only Priority and Super-Priority Visa category was temporarily suspended. The normal standard visa application category is still in full operation. Kindly all note this.

Okay. I really don't have experience with this sort of situation and I don't know anyone that it has happened to. Don't want to alarm anyone so I think best thing would to still try and contact UKVI. Since the Visa was issued it shouldn't be a problem if the person in question need to fly out to start work (my opinion). They should just hold evidence that they have tried to contact ukvi (so emails sent).

There is a letter that comes in the pack when you pick up your passport with the vignette sticker. Is that what you mean?

You need that letter to be able to pass through immigration in UK. It’s written in it that the letter should be presented to the visa officer.

Thank you very much. This is exactly the letter in question. The letter was not in document delivered by the DHL. The person in question went to TLS today but TLS said UKVI did not send it along with the passport. That some people get the letter along with the passport while some don't and that it does not stop him from travelling.

Three emails have been sent to UKVI on this since last week Wednesday. What else do you think one can do bro?

Visa Alert (Skilled Worker)

Visa Application - 15th February
Biometric- 18th February
Application sent to DMC - 18th February
Application sent to VAC - 3rd March
Visa Collected - 4th March.

I know most people here are on the Health abs Care worker path so I’m writing this to also assist those on the skilled worker Tier 2 path.

Step 1: Finding and Getting a Job
First thing (and most important is looking for a job that matches your work experience. I work in the finance sector so I applied to just about every consulting/ Big 4/ Finance company that had openings that matched my skill level. It’s important that when you read the JB, your CV can back it up. Most companies do key word searches to sort through all the CV’s they receive. So if you are an engineer go through the career page for Shell, Rolls Royce, if you are in IT…the world is your oyster. I sent out about 36 applications. Multiple within the same organization.
From there it moved to the interview stage. Practice as much as you can. Not just to know what to say but to feel comfortable enough to let the conversation flow. Also if you are sent the name of the interviewer ahead of time…do a little stalking. LinkedIn even Instagram. You might just find something you have in common.
I had 2 interviews (a month apart) before I received my offer about a month after the 2nd interview.

Step 2: COS
After I accepted my offer, my company had to perform a background check. This took about a month to complete (mainly because of the Christmas break). After that they moved on to the COS. My job needed a copy of my TB certificate to begin and that took a while but once I sent it in it took less than 2 weeks for my COS to be issued to me. I didn’t need to make any payment for this.

Step 3: Visa application.
There are enough posts that detail the requirements but I’ll just like your the documents I submitted.
Completed visa application, copy of COS, copy of University degree (schooled abroad), copy of passport data page and all previous UK visas and immigration stamps for the past 10 years, job offer letter) (I didn’t to show proof of funds)

He got this reply from UKVI on the 28th Feb. 2022 after following up on his visa. Note- a mail from UKVI via paid email was that a decision has been made on his visa last week.

I am not sure you followed this case from the outset. The mother advised she visited the school to see her son but was not allowed by the "school authority" after having a bad dream about the boy the penultimate day to her visit.

This school is indeed a glorified secondary school.

Transcript processing even in public federal universities are ways easier than the bureaucratic processes listed above.

Certificates are supposed to be ready as soon as convocation is done.

The issue of taxation for companies with nationwide branches should be revisited.
All of these banks pay federal taxes, they're still expected to pay state taxes, making it double taxation. I am not a tax expert, but that doesn't seem fair... These are the things that drive the cost of transaction upwards and customers won't understand.

In this case, it is not double taxation. What is payable to the AKIRS is PAYE of staff of GTB working in the State.
