seborrhic:
Something tells me that there is an indirect hand using fronts to teach Tinubu a very good lesson.
Use Adeyanju,a public self acclaimed human rights activist to deliver a legitimate petition and EFCC later comes out to claim it is investigating the petition as it's legally bound to.
If Tinubu back tracks from his rumoured presidential ambition, the petition dies a natural death. If he doesn't backtrack, then credible and substantial evidence would be made known,to be based on this petition and "others" that Tinubu has been a fraud all his political career.
You are very smart and I respect your wisdom!

These so called human right activists like Femi Falana might just be saboteurs afterall..I do not see any reason why a patrotric citizen would go to a country who is at the receiving end of his country's policies and condemn same publicly in solidarity with another nation..Even though the policy may be harsh on some Nigerians right now, but no doubt , it's in the overall interest of all Nigerians. So even if Falana is talking about the law,(I have my reservation anyway)he has to be loyal to his country first..His statement seems to be protecting the interest of other countries first ahead of his country but people like him would still come and condemn the Government for massive unemployment in the country..I lost my respect for Mr Falana on this..because the truth is, Whatever the situation of things are in Nigeria, economic strength of folks like him would never be affected badly...He is a billionare by all standard!
I hope you read that piece before commenting. He has a point and also spoke with understanding. What Nigeria has done is called breaching a contract that is binding on her as a member of the ECOWAS community. It holds later repercussions that might not tell well for the growth and trade relations. To put in simple terms he said we should explore other options in other to not quickly arrive at a breach of contract.

How possible is it to die by hanging without struggling? There is no sign that he struggled to death cos I am sure he would have used the window right behind him to try and save himself. Suicide happens when there is no means of survival.

This one does not look like one.

Lagos state NEEDs a good rail network and heavy taxes on cars for it to work.

I remember growing up. My father told me bed night stories. Sometimes the stories were about a village and a very wicked king that always taxed his subjects while living lavishly.

...today, all what Buhari reminds me are the stories my father told me about a bad ruler and his people. Especially, that he always told of a great famine that befell the land. Smh.

Thanks for the reply.

The product involves importation and the naira-dollar exchange rate is messed up right now.

How about 9,000 naira?
That will bring us to what we are running away from-12k, to the end user. Its possible the ones that charge 30k get it at 9k. I am just being honest with you.

Hi! I have been considering going into the business of selling teeth whitening strips.

I am still doing my homework and testing to find one that works perfectly, but I need to do a quick research.

Would you buy a teeth whitening strip for 12,000 naira?

Note:

1. The strip works.
2. Dentists charge around 70k for teeth whitening
3. Beauty clinics charge around 30k.

Thanks.
My dear, no we won't. I thought your plan is to make it affordable for the most of us? #12k is still for people that can afford #30k

Nairaland / General / Why Is Police Extortion Allowed In The South East? by Balenciagabrain: 3:30pm On Sep 09, 2019
I have traveled across Nigeria, cut across all the regions and finally returned back to the south east to realise the police in the south east go on to extort from the poor commercial motorist every single minute of the day. It is very unfortunate that the police in uniform take pride in perpetrating this absurd act which makes it right to say our police are criminals in police uniform. I find it appalling that everybody allow this to go on everyday, perhaps because they have accepted it to mean normal.

I do not know anywhere in the Nigerian law that empowers the Nigerian Police to take to the street every hour of the day to collect fifty Nigeria from the poor motorists that struggle to make ends meet. It is therefore a crime that the police carry-on on daily bases, contrary to their constitutional duties of protecting lives and properties of the citizens. It goes further to find them compelling every motorists to submit to their demands or face severe harassment.

Even, to act like things are okay is more evil than what the police do because I know that it is the duty of the society to police the police. If this evil does not go on in the other regions of the country except the south east, I am right to say that we have failed as a society, here in the south east of Nigeria to speak out and demand an end to this evil that goes on like a norm. How do we not see our foolishness, when we have allowed this oppression to thrive so well? I wish we would take toll from Lagos #endsars trend to demand an end to this evil.

our governors should please stop turning a blind eye to this because it is not normal.

pls the least we can do to save the situation is to speak up. I wish issues like this can make front page cry cry

I read the undertone coming from these attacks.
I think there's 90% chance these attacks are fostered by the white elites and perpetrated b their blacks that are so illiterate, unfortunately.
These whites will soon push for a return in power after successive failures of black leadership and then...the rest will be history, again.

...but did you state specifically why your property was closed and has remained closed apart from your pleas to let you have them? you obviously sound bitter and I am very sorry about that. I think you should have come to narrate to us what happened that lead to the closure of your property than to reign abuses on someone else. Two wrongs cannot make a right, you know. I think that way you can at least draw a reasonable sympathy from the public that you have approached as well as possibly pave way for the justice that you seek.
Nairaland / General / My Dream For The Future by Balenciagabrain: 1:17pm On Aug 28, 2019
Last Night, I Had a Dream.

Last night I had a very funny dream that bordered around Mr. President, the younger generation and a realization of the dire consequence that would resolve from the reluctant decision taken by same man who also portrayed himself to be a dictator than a democrat. This story solely involved the younger generation and how they were cowed to the method of a government that paid attention only to their thoughts than listen to any opinion(s) that offered to proffer a solution. More important was that ignorance would have a lot to play in the reason future generation might direly suffer from the actions of this present dispensation.

As it is with dreams naturally, there was no beginning. Rather I found myself in the mist of a chaotic society governed by miscreants that only had succeeded in creating a retarded system, full of suffering and agony. There was hunger and poverty; the faces I saw was riddled with sadness, so much so that most people were depressed. I heard it rumored that the government blamed the problems on the poor young generation whom they insisted had not shown any contribution to proffering a solution to the raving problems that the people suffered. In fact, they had decided that in other to prove their point there would be a compulsory check to be performed on every children and adolescents in other to practically ascertain whether they had any brain inside of them. Indeed, ridiculous!

It seemed like everyone except one did not believe that reason that a child could live without a brain, but because the entire country seemed griped with fear, no one could dissuade Mr. President from going ahead with his plan of checking the every child to see what really is made of inside of their heads, so he would go on with his proposed plan. I could not wrap my head around that, obviously.
Next, was a man with a physique like one I recognized to be his, with a single knife in his hand and he stood on a path that had all the children utterly lined up in a single file to the opposite end of the path. I saw how each person walked up to him and how he opened their heads like one would open a tin of milk. First, he used his one knife to incise the scalp that wrapped the skull, along the dictates to the cover, like one does to find the joints between the lap of a chicken. Then he put the tip of his knife and went ahead to raise the cover like we do a tin. And when he took a look, there was a brownish substance in hollow space, as we find a seed placed inside an avocado pear. I assumed that's it. Omg!...the blood from their heads; Same blood on his one knife that he went on to inspect everyone of them as they came on to him one after the other. The irony of what I experienced was that none of the children showed any signs of pain nor did the man with the knife feel any remorse for being wrong to his earlier claims. Instead, the process continued amicably, sometimes revealing how he interacted with the poor children even. I could not explain that. What I instantly could deduce from the scene was the implication of sharing a single knife among-st the children of the society that in fact are the cradle of hope for the future.

I realized that i was the one person with knowledge of what is to result from the scene I witnessed. And like I also feared he would not listen to me, I didn't confront him but instead hurriedly walked away with the hope of finding a man whom he might, before it turned out too late.
whether I found him, i would not know but what I have seen perhaps told a story of what I know is dire consequence of ignorance in decision making knitted in-between a hardened mind. Therefore, I know that inside the head of every young lad is a brain to think out ideas and prove that it works and that when you cause an object to take blood from one person and share it with another, you might end up spreading more problems than you might be able to contain. And if it is to us the younger generation, played as children, we sure have a reason to raise our voice loud and speak out loud enough that the man might hear us or remain in fear while it turns be too late.
I had a dream.
