Lol .....
Dis started long time ago.......
I'm 30 years now .......but remembered how I was taught both atom and the nine planet when I was ini nursery 2.........
Maybe as a poem then....... I remember knowing all 12 sons of Jacob,12 disciples of Jesus and many more at a Yong age too but it was cos they were made as songs or poems for us then.
Like someone pointed out,the method of delivery matters a lot.
Many teachers are not trained and just don't care, they deliver as it comes from the test book not minding the pupils ability or understanding.

I just know that somebody will bring this topic up one day. cheesy cheesy cheesy

Nigerian primary education system is now everything goes. The private schools are not following the curriculum as they should. Their aim is to rush the kids through primary school and graduate them at the age of 8 or less. That's why we see this kind of things. I want to tell you that what your children are taught are possibly normal primary 3 or 4 topics. But since they want them to graduate at primary 4 or five and move them to JSS 1, then they can't strictly follow the Ministry of education laid down curriculum. Its so unfortunate nobody is checking this mad rush and unfortunately, many parents are encouraging it.

I got bored most times by my children homework because they are incapable of solving the question since they are way beyond their age. When my first son first entered nursery school, I almost went to the school to tell the teachers and proprietress to stop the madness. They sent the boy home everyday with loads of homework that he couldn't solve (my children are quite brilliant though; averaging 95% + in every term) and I was like, when we were their age nobody did that to us and we are here today good in what we do. I dont see this method making the children smarter than us or more brilliant than us, if I must tell you. Its just a way of making us buy more textbooks and make us believe that the schools are working hard to train our kids. Shikena!!! grin grin Apola Oro Ise; How strange that is!! Quite weird in primary one. What I actually learned in JSS class.
Thank you.....you have expressed my pain more clearly.
Something has to be done o. Govt must monitor school curriculum whether private or not. I actually thot few schools do this but your write up is indicating that this could just be the new thing with our educational system.

Dear Parents, please share on your opinion on this primary school curriculum issue.
I also notice they just bombard them with plenty stuff and do not really care if they understand. Luckily the somewhat brilliant kids will respond positively but many others will not. Of course, the bright kids wil be what you wil be shown as a prospective candidate.....
I am thinking of changing school for my kids ..... just a thought.
FamilyAre Some Pry1 Pupils Lessons Not Too Much For Their Age? by BAMMZ(op): 8:26am On Mar 29, 2024
My daughters are in Primary 1 and they are taught a whole lot. I was cool with it initially until I saw it was becoming too cumbersome. Imagine teaching them Yoruba language (kids still strugglingwith English) and the yoruba topics already includes "Apola oro ise and all dat. After all dat, they still gave my innocent girl F in Yoruba. They offer History,Sciences,.....etc. The subjects are quite big. Some of those topics we were taught is senior secondary..........And if they are taught all that in Primay 1,what will they be taught in pry 3 or 4?
One my girls is cool with the academics, the other seem to be over burdened already......
Am I taking this wrongly or that is how all modern schools teach?

Stop patronizing rubbish if you don't want your beautiful twin children to die in your hands.
On your next appointment, ask the Drs categorically what their plan of management is,if they can do it here or they refer your children or child,if it's only one that is affected,to a centre where it can be done.
The duct usually closes on it's own,but in some children it doesn't,hence the name,"Patent".
If it doesn't the remedy is surgical closure, done by a paediatric surgeon, even sometimes narrowed down to a specialist paediatric heart surgeon, with skill set in correcting such defects.
All the best and God's strength.
Amen. Thank you very much. Sorry i am just replying.
The surgery had been done and my baby is super fine now.
All glory to God.

HBOT for prematurity:
Twins, prematurity, and low birth weight combination frequently comes with lots of problems which you have not even mentioned.
We have written about it before in this medium.
See what this family did to have peace.
If you need it, we have it. It is called hyperbaric oxygen therapy -hbot.
Read it here or do your search. Few questions: Weight at birth, apga score, Any birth asphyxia or breathing deficiency at birth? Are the babies on continuous assisted ventilation or intermittent oxygen supply?
Are they feeding normally or they are on nasogastric feeding tube?
Are they gaining weight or retarded growth?
These babies need hbot. Will not say much now.

Guys,
is anyone feeling the pidgin English commentary on DSTV channel 233.
I stopped watching world cup matches on any other channel because that guy,Benji,is really giving me joy.
DSTV is not giving me joy with their price increase though but I must confess the idea of a dedicated channel for Nigerian audiences is just too cool.

FamilyChildren's Day Holiday Should Also Be For Parents! by BAMMZ(op): 10:35am On May 27, 2018
I have ever being wondering why our government does not consider the children's day a full fledged holiday for families to enjoy together.
I think if we ever value Children,we should do them this honour-spending a special day with families around them. Schools mostly take the children for special events in stadiums like Parades,Cultural events, quizzes, etc but most parent will be at work . My parents were not there when I participated in my first Match Pass (parade) while in primary school in Port Harcourt,it felt not so good. How memorable will it be for parents to watch their children on special days like this.
I believe parents share in this opinion.

FamilyRe: Please Where Does The Unique Scent Of Second Clothes Come From? by BAMMZ(op): 2:44pm On Feb 04, 2018
Got a hint on how to remove the smell fast:

Always prewash your fabrics and clothing before using them.

1. Vinegar & Water mixture there's a good chance you already knew this- but this is without a doubt the most suggested option for removing pesky smells from fabrics. This is best for items you know you can hand wash like a cotton dress or bedsheet. Use 5 parts water to 1 part white vinegar in a spray bottle. If you're washing fabrics in a sink, add a few tablespoons into the water and let the fabric sit for 15 minutes. Rinse in cool water and hang outside to dry letting the sunshine and fresh air do their magic. Don't worry about walking around smelling like kimchi, the vinegar scent will quickly dissipate. As vinegar is acidic, there are some fabrics that cannot handle the intensity due to age or delicacy and will dissolve in a vinegar wash, so be sure to use with caution.

One issue is a lack of true leadership.
I am not talking about politicians, I mean men whom we can look up to and TRUST them wholeheartedly.
We have tried OBJ, Jagaban, Kanu, Gani Adams, etc but they all failed us.
Without a truly trusted man to lead, l am afraid, there will be no revolution and the bad cycle will continue.
So now who is that Moses?
Where is our Ghandi?
Who will be our Martin Luther?
Whose voice will shout for redemption like Marley?
Arise o compatriots........

iyatrustee:
1. What are his personal goals cos most times, women get in the way of a man's personal goals. truth is, not all of his goals involve you as they were formed long before you came on board.

2. What his childhood was like cos it holds the key to understanding why he is the way he is
3. What are his Insecurities. Discuss and find out early before it pops up in future
4. What career path he is interested in. it helps prepare your mind for long trips away from home or even staying or working late.
5. What are his expectations in the relationship
6. What he cant stand. most relationships fail becos the woman spent the whole time doing what the guy hates
7. Does he like or want children
8. What his past relationship was like. if he has moved on or he is still carrying the baggage from the bad experience
9. His views on spirituality. religion matters to some while it doesnt to some others. it is important to find out if you will accept them into your life with the beliefs they have.
10.what he expects from his patner
11.His Relationship with his family and friends cos they all contributed to shaping him to who he is today and would be a major factor in how he treats you.
