FairlyUSEDpussy:Maybe as a poem then....... I remember knowing all 12 sons of Jacob,12 disciples of Jesus and many more at a Yong age too but it was cos they were made as songs or poems for us then. Like someone pointed out,the method of delivery matters a lot. Many teachers are not trained and just don't care, they deliver as it comes from the test book not minding the pupils ability or understanding. |
pragmatistm:Thank you.....you have expressed my pain more clearly. Something has to be done o. Govt must monitor school curriculum whether private or not. I actually thot few schools do this but your write up is indicating that this could just be the new thing with our educational system. |
Dear Parents, please share on your opinion on this primary school curriculum issue. I also notice they just bombard them with plenty stuff and do not really care if they understand. Luckily the somewhat brilliant kids will respond positively but many others will not. Of course, the bright kids wil be what you wil be shown as a prospective candidate..... I am thinking of changing school for my kids ..... just a thought. |
My daughters are in Primary 1 and they are taught a whole lot. I was cool with it initially until I saw it was becoming too cumbersome. Imagine teaching them Yoruba language (kids still strugglingwith English) and the yoruba topics already includes "Apola oro ise and all dat. After all dat, they still gave my innocent girl F in Yoruba. They offer History,Sciences,.....etc. The subjects are quite big. Some of those topics we were taught is senior secondary..........And if they are taught all that in Primay 1,what will they be taught in pry 3 or 4? One my girls is cool with the academics, the other seem to be over burdened already...... Am I taking this wrongly or that is how all modern schools teach? |
Up Kwara.... Zoom to see "achievement " clearly. Maybe they need employ proper PR people...

Luckydubby7:Can Mr Lai,a great lagosian and politician, kindly come and address youths on the streets of Lagos or Abuja? I think people will like to hear him clearly......Soro soke oga. Don't hide behind camera and be yarning gibberish..... |
seborrhic:Amen. Thank you very much. Sorry i am just replying. The surgery had been done and my baby is super fine now. All glory to God. |

daddy001:I recharged online via buypowerng not in an office. I really want to know if anyone has encountered similar issues before. An IBEDC official I called said the metre is faulty and I should call their office. Issue with that is that will charge you #5k for complaining, remove the metre for repair and place you on estimated billing till further notice. |
I recharged successful last week on 07.10.2020 and had over 500 Units when loaded. Now I woke up to see that I am in debit balance. No power in my house right now. I use IBEDC prepaid (memmcol) metre. Someone please help. |
Come to the Christian northern region of Nigeria and see how they do Bible study to find names for their kids. It is common to find names like Leviticus,Hulda, Zephaniah,Ezra, Habakkuk, Exodus',etc over there. I have met someone with full name "Genesis Exodus".....Nice and interesting people tho. |
oxypress:I will get back to you on this. Thank you. |
Quite sad that we are here today! Imagine people thanking God that they had not studied medicine back in school all because the profession is no longer lucrative and attractive. Even our labor minister has advised Doctors to try farming or go abroad. Successful Doctors are now businessmenI because it is a survival of the fittest business now.t is well. Hopefully, the country will be fine soon but I know, las las we go make am. Stay positive. |
Dear doctors in the house, Can someone please help with a good hospital here in Nigeria where PDA issues can be properly handled. Born Preterm (twins)The baby is now 4 months. We are told she could just be fine or a procedure might be required before she reaches 1year to correct the PDA. We are with University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, they are trying but you know govt thing. Some doctors said they can't really handle PDA procedures there or even in Nigeria,we are worried. We need a hospital where we can get this properly handled before it gets out of hand. Your kind advice will be appreciated. Thank you. |
if true, then this should be in front page to counter the news of his endorsement yesterday.....and fastly too! |
Guys, is anyone feeling the pidgin English commentary on DSTV channel 233. I stopped watching world cup matches on any other channel because that guy,Benji,is really giving me joy. DSTV is not giving me joy with their price increase though but I must confess the idea of a dedicated channel for Nigerian audiences is just too cool. |
nanauju:We have so many irrelevant holidays that keeps all at home e.g Democracy Day,Boxing day, etc. I think Children's day deserves a better place and should be celebrated better with all. |
I have ever being wondering why our government does not consider the children's day a full fledged holiday for families to enjoy together. I think if we ever value Children,we should do them this honour-spending a special day with families around them. Schools mostly take the children for special events in stadiums like Parades,Cultural events, quizzes, etc but most parent will be at work . My parents were not there when I participated in my first Match Pass (parade) while in primary school in Port Harcourt,it felt not so good. How memorable will it be for parents to watch their children on special days like this. I believe parents share in this opinion.

Got a hint on how to remove the smell fast: Always prewash your fabrics and clothing before using them. 1. Vinegar & Water mixture there's a good chance you already knew this- but this is without a doubt the most suggested option for removing pesky smells from fabrics. This is best for items you know you can hand wash like a cotton dress or bedsheet. Use 5 parts water to 1 part white vinegar in a spray bottle. If you're washing fabrics in a sink, add a few tablespoons into the water and let the fabric sit for 15 minutes. Rinse in cool water and hang outside to dry letting the sunshine and fresh air do their magic. Don't worry about walking around smelling like kimchi, the vinegar scent will quickly dissipate. As vinegar is acidic, there are some fabrics that cannot handle the intensity due to age or delicacy and will dissolve in a vinegar wash, so be sure to use with caution. |
1Sharon:Thanks. Can you further help with its composition and effects on fabrics and mans health? |

One issue is a lack of true leadership. I am not talking about politicians, I mean men whom we can look up to and TRUST them wholeheartedly. We have tried OBJ, Jagaban, Kanu, Gani Adams, etc but they all failed us. Without a truly trusted man to lead, l am afraid, there will be no revolution and the bad cycle will continue. So now who is that Moses? Where is our Ghandi? Who will be our Martin Luther? Whose voice will shout for redemption like Marley? Arise o compatriots........ |
Benz4pimp:Exactly... even though the tokunboh cars version is more prestigious and welcoming than the clothes version ![]() |
Someone said it is possibly from the preservative on ships...... but exactly what is that preservative? Could it be harmful (well, I doubt but ......). Is it put at the point of shipping or from the packing warehouse? |
I have been so curious about this issue, nobody seem to explain it. Also, you see people pass or sit by you and you just know what they are wearing. Isnt there a fast way of removing the scent? Dear people, kindly share your knowledge on this. Good morning. |
What of The suleja Catholic church bombing in Nigeria (st Theresa).

I just heard of "Praise Adonai". Na wah o. |
MrBrownJay1:Chai..you and pastors ehn.... But what about the full adult who can read ,write and think but still follows a so called pastor blindly? When I want to blame the pastor,I also wonder how they manage to succeed in this age and time when men have so much privilege to information and when the basis for their smartness is the same book made available to all without a restriction. |
