MrBrownJay1:You are right but then even when you can feed properly, the environment you are needs be conducive so you can enjoy the wealth and so others will prosper too. |
Let us remember to pray for Nigeria as we enjoy our holiday |
Missanneb:Go back home please. |
livingseed:We seem to be totally in one place |

livingseed:I agree......somehow. |
MrBrownJay1:Sincerely this tithe or no tithe issue is not my point even though I get your point. The Bible is there for anyone to seek clarification. It is sad though that our pastors lay too much emphasis on it. My point is that "Nigeria go better" means "my own don beta". That is why everyone is looking for easy means of getting rich. That is why corruption will never end. |
MrBrownJay1:I understand your point but have Christians really being doing what God said or following what men are saying? I believe we cannot change God,He is still the same . |
I know how much religious we are in Nigeria and daily churches are springing up like grasses all over the nation. Where we are getting it wrong however is that we believe it can be well with us and not necessarily with our land,Nigeria. This is evident in the our every day activities, not just religion,in Nigeria. We all heard about how thousands will arise daily in South Korea then to pray for the nation, same applied to the USA and many nations that we are looking up to today. In Nigeria,we seem not to believe in collective progress but our mentality is of selfishness. When you have arrived, every other thing & people should go and worry, infact they should look up to you. I am putting the blame first on Christians because we have the power to ask God to help us out. Like it was said to Solomon in 2chronicles 7:14 , "if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. " Our religious leaders ,for selfish reasons too, will not bother to stand for the nation rather they will die for an individual. Politicians will not think of the people rather they belive only in their own progress. This is a mentality the church must change. As we enter the new year, let us daily remember Nigeria in our prayers believing that the prosperity of the land is surely our individual prosperity. Pray for Nigeria, those who do will surely be prosperous. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE. Shalom. |

Hello house, I don't know if this is the right place to post this but it is important and I believe the moderator will help do the needful. I need the contributions of ex oceanic bank staff who contributed in the the compulsory staff deductions called SSTIF. This money was meant to be invested and paid to staff upon retirement or exit from the system. I personally loved the idea. Unfortunately I had to leave Oceanic bank some few months before Ecobank acquired it and Ecobank is supposed to now be responsible for this payment. I had waited patiently for about 5years before I sent a mail to Ecobank on this issue. In their response, they claimed there is a class action on this in court (NIC Ikoyi Court 6) and so they cannot give me any word on this until the judgement is passed. They however only gave me the venue but not the Suit number as I requested. Please house,is anyone aware of this class action and if yes, what is the current status and suit number? Also to the general house, how do I go about this payment? Trusting the great consultants to contribute here (Na every nairalander be consultant so I am expecting general contributions). Thank you. Really no big deal.....just cos of our traditional beliefs. Overtime, this will be wiped away with so many other unnecessary beliefs in our society. This just reminds of the hell of beatings I got cos I was born a leftie........I now use more of my right hand but u don't need a second glance to know that Bammy is a leftie...... |
Obasanjo could not stop them, neither was Yaradua/Goodluck. They have been steering Nigeria's ship in their favour and when they have had their way, they turn around to blame the "President". They stopped so many positive government policies because it won't favour them. What comes to mind was how they stopped the government of GEJ from saving part of the plenty oil money the country had. They had it all consumed.... now it is GEJ's issue. Buhari was shocked that states could not pay salaries despite the bogus allocations. Well,it is not their problem. They hijack political parties. They hijack everythingThey hijacked Nigeria! Now PDP is in a mess, thanks to some governors who appointed Ali Modu Sheriff as a leader. States are in a mess because governors are cluesless, no plans,no idea to save their states. Depends 100% on the Centre....... Our governors, our problem! |
...my friend at NYSC camp Kaduna back then.......
Donno sef......His life,his choice. |
I feel the pains of this poster. However, my Yoruba people will say " if you have not been to another mans farm, you will assume your father's is the best". This happens almost everywhere, even in private schools but I appreciate this because we should not take it as "normal". Things must be done in order. The economy is bad, students should be appreciated. They are the future. Besides, I have always held unilorin in high esteem and believed their better by far slogan. There must be change......... ( not like Buhari's change though).......... Thanks OPS...... I believe " they"will see this and change. Kudos! |
