As a guy, you're in your sister's room and she undresses to have her bath. I've been in this situation with my elder sister a number of time (even after she got married.) Each time I tell her its wrong, she just waves it aside. Who is wrong here? Then, I often wonder why NORMAL men (like me) are not aroused in this kind of situation and get aroused even they see any other nude girl even on screen. Can medics/pyschologists educate us? |
I've heard men recount how their requests to enter labour room with their wives were turned down. This is common with government hospitals. Why on earth do they do this if husband and wife are cool with it. I like the idea and my fiancee desires it. If after telling a doc upfront he still denies me the opportunity, I won't take it lightly o.lol. Are there pips who have done this with hubby? Please, share your experiences (when u requested for permission and in the labour room) |
I've heard men relay how their requests to stand by their wife during labour were turned down. This is common with government hospitals. Why on earth do they do this if both husband and wife are cool about it. I like the idea and my fiancee desires it. I won't take kindly to any doc who refuses me. Infact, I'll perhaps have to tell the doc upfront. Has anyone done this with hubby? Pls, share your experience. |
k2039: Actualy pro eastern civilizationLol. Eastern Nigeria or East Africa? What manner of civilization condemns you to 'shitting' in pit latrines and in the bush? |
k2039: I will rather use the bush than use a closet. Are you anti western civilization too? |
k2039: I use pit latrine and it's location,so I dont wash,by default it's washed when it rains(the rain cleans it up)Hehehehehe for real? Do u find it easy using closet when u are away from home? U sometimes forget to flush, right? |
I know girls may equally be guilty of this but I really want to hear from guys. There is this belief that certain home chores are not for guys. And truly, back then, while at home, my mum and sisters washed my toilet. Now that am alone, I learnt to do it myself. I've had cause to visit some friends recently, and their toilets were...gush, an eye sore. And to show that its been ages since they washed it, no harpic was in sight! So, single guys, do you wash your toilets? How often? And married guys, do you sometimes help your wife to wash toilets? Let's hear from you. |
Its not as if 'that's what I do.' If u read my post carefully, you'll know its a one-off thing. And mind u, it was just a casual chat. Take this for instance: 'Hi. How are u?' She asks. 'I'm fine. And u?' *silence* 'Are u thru with exams? She continues.' 'No. I have one more left. What about u?' 'I don't appreciate it when u ask me same question!' Do you get my point now? |
I was having a casual conversation with a friend recently, and was surprised when she said 'I don't appreciate it when you ask me same question I asked you.' I wonder what the big deal there is, in that, in as much as you don't over-do it. Or am I missing something here? Over to you guys. |
Good post for beginners who need to learn the basics. But hey, there is no hard and fast rules on this matter. The most important thing is: forgive and don't keep malice for your own good. Make him/her your casual friend. If you send texts or call such friends during those seasons, include him/her; if not, let him/her be. |
Kamxin: this is 20, 21st century invention. There is no private interpretation (2Pet 1:20).Where did you get that from? That verse says 'No prophecy of scripture comes about by the prophet's own imagination.' |
It'll only be a big deal if: You were sexual partners. You ended on a bad note. You were not invited. NB: Not severing contact with an ex you had intercourse with is an open call to adultery. |
You must first realize that the books of the bible are not of the same genre. There are history, laws, letters, poems, teachings, reportorials etc. Then, there is a setting for each passage. This has only one distinct denotation and its called 'logos,' the letter of the law. But there is the revealed aspect that comes from the Holy spirit, it is called 'Rhema.' It is good to know the logos, but it is more important to allow the Holy Spirit reveal the Rhema to you as you meditate. Rhema is functional, not rigid. That is the living, sharp word of God. Jesus said 'the letter (logos) kills. The word that I speak to you (rhema) is spirit and life' Watchman Nee's 'How to study the bible' is a must-read for any serious, sincere Christian who desires to know these truths. |
k2039: I sleep more than usualHahahahahaha...you dey see expo for dream? |
The way some people tackle exams as if its a monster amazes me. Due to fire-brigade approach, many crash-read for exams, and many aspect of their lives suffer for it. In fact, personal hygiene takes casual leave. Imagine someone reading all night in a classroom till exam time. No bath. No brushing. Some even forget to eat. So, what do you do differently during exam time? |
ATMC: I attribute it to freedom of speech...d disadvantageFreedom of speech doesn't mean lack of good judgment. This is simple common sense! Some people are just attention-seekers. |
Odunnu: Havent you noticed it also on NL?Seriously, I just stop at the first page each time I open a story these days. I think babies have really infiltrated nairaland! |
I've noticed this trend in a number of meetings I've attended, and its a turn off for me any day. You see people in the name of making 'contributions' just beat about the bush only to arrive at the same point with the last speaker. Methinks if your idea does not modify or differ from what has been said, then you should sit down and keep shut! Why waste precious time on an issue that is as good as agreed upon? Seems Nigerians are just typical time wasters. Or is it a cultural thing? |
freecocoa: Saying mine is informal will be an understatement, it is something else.Lol. Guess we're on the same page on this, aside the trouble maker thing. There's one contact name that makes me grin each time I see it. 'Ohun Akala!' 'The voice of Akala!' |
jammyng: Depends on the relationship with the contact, i cant save my mum's number with Mrs..............I feel you jare. Some will even go as far as saving it with maami!lol |
Mynd_44: I won't call mine formal or informal as it is a combination of both. In case of an accident anyway, you can't use my phone to call any one. It is on automatic lockAnd passworded too? You haven't thought of how risky that is in an emergency situation, have you? |
What suddenly makes them 'unserious?' The fact that they don't keep in touch? So your phonebook has all the Chief and Dr things? |
What's your phonebook like? How do you store names of contacts on your phone? Do you add the titles Mr, Dr, Chief, Prof etc especially when its an older person or important personality? The bulk of my contacts are saved with nicknames (the coded names I give people or that they already have). You'll see stuff like Aparo, Whistle, Lorenzo, Martin Luther, Friend and Foe, Margaret Thatcher etc. Someone just drew my attention to how risky that is. If you lose your phone or are involved in an accident, what will happen if someone wants to quickly reach a relative? He'll be searching in vain for 'dad' or 'mum.' Enough said. So let's have a feel of what your phonebook looks like. |

@ OP. Your deductions are sound but your premise is confusing. You mixed up the conditions for divorce in a Christian marriage with the conditions for annulment in law. As far as Christian marriage is concerned, the only condition for divorce and remarriage is infidelity. For other incidents like physical abuse, you should reasonable desert the spouse. (But no divorce nor remarriage). The trouble with many christians is the foundation. When you get unequally yoked with unbelievers or nominal christians, divorce is not far from you. No two sincere children of God marry and get divorced cos God is not the author of confusion. |
Thanks. |
From your experience which of the two common blackberry series, BOLD and CURVE is better and why? Also state if its new or uk used. I don't know much about the curve series but bold 2 and bold 4 appear to have a longer battery life than bold 5 and 6. Curve 2 is a no-no in all specifications. Which would you advise a friend to buy? |
'Prompt before switching to carrier network for streaming media' was unmarked. Did you mean I should mark? |
Highbros: truly live streaming attracts extra charges but, you can disable it. I use a torch2, I don't know if the step is same with bold2. This is how you do it; goto your blackberrys browser and click on the menu button, then click on option and unmark "switching to carrier network for streaming media" mtn will never deduct your money again. Many thanks. I'll do that right away. |
Highbros: How come na? I downloaded 42GB in 5days! with this same mtn's bis and they didn't charge any extra. All charges was on my bis. Its UNLIMITED!.Thanks. I once put a call thru to their customer care and I was told there are sites that they charge extra on; that my BIS is not unlimited! But she couldn't mention specific sites; just said I should set my phone in such a way that I will be prompted when this is about to happen. |
Which of the lot can be trusted? |
