aieromon: Change your source and ask for Kingston next time.Three flash drives from three different stores! Does it mean there are no fake Kingston flash drives? Smh for Nigeria! |
This will be the third flash drive I'll buy and its the same problem. They copy files on Word and the likes but any attempt to copy large files like films and songs turn out futile. It says the file is broken, and it takes eternity to repair. A friend says they are fake. Could this be true? |
A much fuller text of his message has been debated on this forum. This is a calculated attempt to stand logic on its head. Op's post is a complete falsehood and is misleading. Sahara Reporters are full of craps from the desert. |
warrior01: Exactly! No sensible married woman especially the one that wants to be a charge and bail lawyer should stay with her hubby because of distractions that might impede her annointed performance. Moreso, after graduation, she must move farther away from the family so as to have an excellent career devoid of family distractions. You know, to be a 'learned fellow' and a successful one at that; we don't need distractions especially from family warrior01: Exactly! You don't bring your 'wig and gown' into your matrimonial home. That's tantamount to struggling with the driver for the wheel. Accident becomes inevitable when that happens |
afam4eva: No be hunger dey inspire people to buy indomie? Or is it demeaning to be hungry? I think it would have been an issue if the ad had read "Poor Man"On point. Even the rich get hungry. 'Hungry man' doesn't depict poverty. |
1 Timothy 4:12. Let no man despise thy youth but be thou an example of the believers in word, in coversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Ecc 4:12b. A cord of three strands cannot easily be broken. Prov 17:17 A friend loves at all times, a brother is born for times of adversity. |
2buff: There is this girl I've been friends with.1. The foolishness of God is wiser than man. His ways are not ours and only he knows the end of a thing from the beginning; man only sees as far as his nose! The wisest thing to do is stay with God's choice and timing. 2. Love is not all about feelings. Feelings come and go. Love is more importantly a choice, a commitment and a covenant. 3. God himself is Love. All you need to love is in him. This is a time to draw closer to him and draw from his ocean of love as you look forward to his choice. 4. You don't necessarily have to tell her God said no. But its important you define the relationship and don't get too close. |
Freksy: When he manifested as a son and died for three days, was the world without a God in those three days?Knowing him is what is fundamental not necessarily knowing (all) about him. Now, why would we pray in Jesus' name? Why would Thomas and many others call him 'my Lord and my God' if he weren't God? |
The concept of trinity is a mystery that possibly cannot be fully unearthed using human language. Jesus, by his teachings, did not mince word as to the positions and roles of the triune God. Its central aim is to underscore the hierarchical order in heaven inspite of their equality- an example unto christian homes and the church. As regards the intricacies of trinity, I do not have full understanding. Jesus is said to be sitting at the right hand of the father (suggesting two personalities) yet God is said to be one. The best illustration is that of water that manifests as ice, water or steam. God perhaps manifest sometimes as 3 separately or at the same time even though he is 1. In all, He is Omnipotent and Omniscient. When we know everything about him, he ceases to be God. |
suwailad: pWho did this to you? You suffer from mouth diarrhoea. And its such a hopeless case. |
wirinet: Olu does not mean god, it means king, lord, ruler, etc. Otherwise Olu of Warri would mean god of warri, the Christian god is refered to as king or lord of heaven - OLU-ORUN, in yoruba. There is no text without a context. Etymology of words in Warri and Yoruba are not the same so your examples don't pan. Seun was born into a Christian Yoruba family, where Oluwa is deemed to be the Almighty Lord. |
2good: Oluwa means our god. The yoruba's have been using that word before the christian missionaries set foot on African soil, so why do you think it is exclusively meant for your Christian god and not one of the other gods or diety?Oluwa does not mean our god but Lord. Now, even the yorubas distinguish between God and god, Lord and lord. The deities are gods, husbands and masters are lord, but no yoruba will refer to anyone other than their Almighty Creator as God or Lord. Note the distictions and don't get it twisted. |
Area_boy: it actually isn't if it caught your attentionNoted. But you need help, trust me. |
suwailad: @bamtoSilence could be golden. You are under no compulsion to comment. |
Area_boy: When people fall easily for accepting a 1st century hippie Jew that was crucified as their way to salvation and "eternal" life.Must you cast aspersions on Christians to make your point? Your dumb comment is pathetic. |
2good: Check the various definitions of god according to Encarta dictionary:Oluwa doesn't mean god. Faulty premise. |
Pastor AIO: That would depend on whether Seun has a lord or not. His Lord does not have to be a deity. It could be money. In which case his name is thanking his lord, money, for all the blessings it has given him. Those are far-fetched assumptions. Oluwa as a prefix for names already has a stereotype. His Christian parents certainly did not have Money in mind when he was named. Otherwise, they would have more appropriately named him Owoseun. |
PAGAN 9JA:Oluwa means Lord, and it is the most popular prefix attached to names of Yoruba Christians. |
There is a disturbing message currently in circulation. I've been inundated with same text message by friends and family. It reads: 'Never pick any call from 0800226655. They are using people for ritual starting from today till August 17. Send to people you care for' It doesn't only appear superstitious but unreasonable. What connection does answering a call have with ritual? How will it happen? How was the date gotten? But then supernatural matters are sometimes beyond logic and critical thinking. Could this be real? If not, what does the originator hope to achieve by this? |
I'm tempted to say 'heartbond' but English language doesn't work that way. Heartbreak simply means 'extreme sadness.' Its opposite is happiness. |
Following my admittance into nairaland and discovery that it was owned by OLUWAseun Osewa, I reasonably assumed he was a theist. It wasn't long before I realised he is in fact an atheist. Methinks names help in no small way to put one's beliefs in perspective especially as Africans. Seun, kindly consider a name change or at least delete the 'Oluwa' in your name to halt the misrepresentation. |
timolabam@yahoo.com is my email. Pls send me a random selection of your stock to include titles by Grisham, Brian Tracy, John Price, Watchman NeeN, Bill Corbin, Robert Greene and Stephen Pierce. Many thanks |
Thanks. I mean when I try to shut down now, it reboots itself. Guess the periodic window upgrade it does affected it. |
I need expert advice on which is preferable between hibernating and logging off a laptop when not in use. I've been hibernating it, following an advice by an Engineer. Now, all attempts to log-off have failed. |
Thanks for being this pro-social. Kindly forward to timolabam@yahoo.com |
Hello. I did send you a mail via timolabam@yahoo.com. I await your response. Tim. |
How do children succumb to ponography, pre-marital sex despite societal pressure against it? The more people openly propagate an ideology, the greater the possibility of increase in membership, and when that happens societal pressure decreases. |
the first question that must be answered is: who is a friend? How close is the 'friend?' A married man should have his wife as his best friend (confidant, companion). Any other friend that is close to being a confidant should be a family friend known to the wife. Ofcourse, he could have colleagues, busines partners, group members etc. |
@ OP: The postulation about homosexuals' constl right to freely associate is a blind assertion. This struggle can't but fail. A man's right ends where the other begins. The minority perversive few cannot force their 'rights' down the majority's throat. The law protects public morality (as found in ponography, prostitution law). A state is lawfully empowered to curtail any right of act that is against public policy and good conscience. Homosexuals can privately practise their beastly act, but to propagate and manifest it in public such that our children can be enticed and converted? Hell, no! |
this thread is rather unfortunate! Right or wrong, who are you to cast aspersions on pastors? That a pastor criticizes another in public doesn't mean he abhors hatred for him, it's to protect the sheep from wolves. We easily judge ourselves by our intentions, while we judge others by their actions. Absolute justice belongs to God. Be careful, sin against the Holy Spirit is without forgiveness! |
. It is to make mockery of your silly religion and piss you off.

and isnt it good that he has a traditional name
