Good observation Op. ![]() It doesn't take a lot to keep fit btw other than discipline and commitment. Most women may not feel bothered about it maybe due to a busy schedule etc. Typically healthy living is 70% balanced diet and 30% exercise. It's possible to regain a good shape after childbirth. 21st century marriages should be a team sport. At any slight weight gain, I'll be dragging her behind out for exercises . |
Ishilove:This thread is a nonstory. ![]() |
What if she stumbles on this thread? I really don't condone stuff like this. If you're in for a relationship that could lead to something, I'd say go for it. Most girls don't know what they want, but you can show her instead of talking so much. Everyone is technically single until married. |
hisexcellency34:Hahaha you're having a laugh mate. Meanwhile, good riddance to Morata. Can't wait for summer to bring Icardi to SW6. |
|
Fuckuignos:Is this how you convince a neutral who hasn't made up his mind on who to vote for? I think I understand. Have a blessed life. |
Chizuru01:Fuckuignos Please can you respond to this. I'm a neutral by the way and I love to see how this can turn into an intelligent conversation between 2 brilliant minds. |
LOL I enjoyed this one. ![]() Gullible lot. |
ideynl1:Apart from English and sarcasm, which other language do you speak? ![]() |
funmisticqueen:Yes hun, my paternal influence was remote but it was felt notwithstanding. Still, it takes nothing away from the fact that the 21st century lady should strive to be independent and forward thinking but I'm not to judge whoever thinks otherwise. ![]() |
Very lovely thread. Shout to the boys who believe they don't have to buy love, because there will always be a higher bidder. To the girls who want to be comfortable, but realize that all that glitters is not gold, and wealth may be gone in an instant; girls who look out for deep and meaningful qualities in a man... May we all meet people deserving of our characteristics. 20 years from now, we will all see the outcome of decisions we take today. Kudos to the MVPs on this thread LUCAS99 wetdick escapefromusa LastDance Syberkate Omoge87 et al. Saffi I'm sorry for calling you a numpty and a dolt. It was out of character for me. |
Saffi:You just don't get it, do you? There's no crime in wanting money and all the flashy things, and living with the outcome of the choice after marriage, if the man becomes richer or otherwise. Because some chose to live their lives on another standard doesn't make them stupid. I respect your opinion, so you should respect that of others. Same rule applies to me if I marry a girl primarily based on her body. I'm (maybe) stuck with her even after 20 years and I find her repulsive. LastDance I agree with you, most of us are writing based on our backgrounds as I earlier alluded to. My sister works. She has no need to depend on any man if she doesn't want to. So the concept of dating a leech is strange to me. |
escapefromusa:Brilliant comment mate, I echo your sentiments as well. Omoge87 Girl, I don't who you are, where you're from but you're the kind of woman I pray for. I read every bit of what you wrote. I'm a very conservative and sensitive person and I can easily tell when/if a girl is profiling me based on my material worth, and when I notice that, I RUN away. I don't need a trophy wife, I need the Pro 31 kind of woman. Honestly, I've never in my life seen comments like this from a Nigerian (and I'm assuming you're one. Foreign girls think way differently. I don't date women for their bodies, I look for deeper qualities in them, and so in my just opinion, I think I deserve someone who thinks the same way. Saffi:You're a numpty saffi and I say this without reservation and I'm usually a polite person. You're the kind of girl my momma warned me against. You started your response in a very sensible way but rounded it up like a dolt. She made very important remarks which you failed to address. No matter how independent you are, you can accept assistance from a man regardless of if he’s your husband or not as long as he is wholeheartedly willing to do so. - She says she DOES not refuse offers for help but it depends on the magnitude. If someone helps you willingly why would they expect you to pay them back if things don’t work out? - Girls who do not demand infact deserve the universe. There is no problem with 'someone' helping. Remember, a relationship is a two-way street and 'helping' is not gender specific. So think of it this way, he has been helping, helping, helping and helping, what exactly is your own contribution? to be the proverbial termite (as per escapefromusa)? -------------------- I respect people's opinions but don't pull down someone else's opinions just because you feel you have a superior argument. Scenarios 1. Girls who support men in no way (liabilities) - They want to profile and marry men primarily because of their wealth even as they regard other things as secondary, good for them. 2. Girls who support men as much as they can (maybe working etc)- They want to profile and marry men primarily because of their wealth even as they regard other things as secondary, good for them. 3. Girls who support men as well as they can (maybe working etc)- They don't really care about wealth as much as someone who they truly love and vibe with, to build a future together, good for them. 4. Girls who support men in no way (liabilities) - They don't really care about wealth as much as someone who they truly love and vibe with, to build a future together, good for them. ----- I wonder if scenario 4 ever happens, as it's the antithesis of scenario 1. Anyways, anyone is free to do whatever they want with their lives. EDIT. I think our backgrounds have a major role in this. My mom has always been a pillar in my life. I'm not sure I would be where I am today if she was not working her socks to support her household. So naturally, I would be averse to a girl who sounds lazy. It's all about our backgrounds to a large extent. |
Bouncingbabyboy:What am I then? ![]() |
az94:Please what is the meaning of that?
|
|
bongolistik:Yes, made for the entire world. Let Tecno market in the U.S. |
1StopRudeness: If it's for humor, no problem. On a more serious note though, I'd rather go hungry spending money on people with legitimate needs, family and the like. By the way, I don't encounter such girls you're referring to. I've never paid for hair-do before. This is where is starts from I guess. From paying for hair-do to other financial demands (that even your siblings don't make). And trust me, girls who don't demand usually deserve the world. It's about perspective. |
bravesoul247:Don't mind me. I just have my reservations about how those guys flood our markets with their products. You'd stop to think maybe if we had a better regulatory landscape, brands won't produce phones that they'd barely use in their home countries. |
bravesoul247:Lol phones made by Asians specially for Africans. ![]() |
Yankee101:True. It's a shame that up north, it's the reverse and we have to deal with their excessive power. |
Lol Wearing glasses? Absolute drivel Is the aim to appear smart or be actually smart? |
1StopRudeness:What kind of advice is this? they are not in a relationship yet. He's just hanging out with her and she's making those demands. You seem like you're trying to justify the girl's actions. If she was your daughter, would you condone her behaviour? be honest. Economy is hard bla bla bla, it's no gender sensitive. Your notion on this issue is skewed. A decent girl from a decent home would not behave like this. |
QuickStandard:Pls don't mind that guy. There are girls out there who are independent and would even take you out. Don't be forced into thinking all Nigerian girls are leeches. Most are anyway, but yeah some still have sense. |
I'm still waiting for credit-less, data-less mesh communication between smart phones of the same brand. ![]() bongolistik When do we get to the point where you admit you work for Meizu? ![]() |
Yankee101:I want to partially agree with you. Independent of party lines, Lagos will continue to churn out progressive minded people. I think it's not fair to discount the current administration's efforts. |
gabazin080: ![]() What kind of drink do you fancy, my friend? |
hisexcellency34:I swear you're a crazy person and that picture is so apt. ![]() |
Valerie47:Lmao We will put a color wheel on the I.V. ![]() |
Who else is bothered about what emerald green looks like? Women and their complicated lives ![]() |
joelenesleek Have you found him yet? ![]() |
