So glorify the Praises of your Lord, and ask for His Forgiveness. Verily, He is the One Who accepts the repentance and forgives.

Why do Muslims worship on Fridays

Surah Al-Jumua, Verse 9:

O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salat (prayer) on the day of Friday (Jumu'ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allah [Jumu'ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salat (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing), that is better for you if you did but know!

Surah Al-Jumua, Verse 10:

Then when the (Jumu'ah) Salat (prayer) is finished, you may disperse through the land, and seek the Bounty of Allah (by working, etc.), and remember Allah much, that you may be successful

Whoever is guided is only guided for the benefit of his soul. And whoever errs only errs against it. And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And never would We punish until We sent a messenger.
And when We intend to destroy a city, We command its affluent but they defiantly disobey therein; so the word comes into effect upon it, and We destroy it with complete destruction.
And how many have We destroyed from the generations after Noah. And sufficient is your Lord, concerning the sins of His servants, as acquainted and Seeing.

I believe Jesus died for the sins of believing humans(1John 2:1,2)

God had made it in His law that no man can die for another each man bear his own sins

But he slew not their children, but did as it is written in the law in the book of Moses, where the Lord commanded, saying, The fathers shall not die for the children, neither shall the children die for the fathers, but every man shall die for his own sin.

Grupo:
I don't have any purpose in this world because I did not come here on my own accord - the sexual escapades of my parents brought me here. So, if anything, I am fulfilling the purpose of my parents.

Even though my parents did not get my consent before bringing me here, I am still thriving hard to make some money and live a comfortable life.
The most important question in life is 'Why are we here?'

Well, whyarewe here? To amass fame and fortune? To make music and babies? To be the richest man or woman in the graveyard for, as we are jokingly told, 'He who dies with the most toys wins?'

No, there must be more to life than that, so let's think about this.To begin with, look around you. Unless you live in a cave, you are surrounded by things we humans have made with our own hands. Now, why did we make those things? The answer, of course, is that we make things to perform some specific function for us.In short, we make things to serve us.So by extension, why did God make us, if not to serve Him?

If we acknowledge our Creator, and that He created humankind to serve Him, the next question is, 'How? How do we serve Him?' No doubt, this question is best answered by the One who made us.If He created us to serve Him, then He expects us to function in a particular manner, if we are to achieve our purpose. But how can we know what that manner is? How can we know what God expects from us?

Well, consider this: God gave us light, by which we can find our way.Even at night, we have the moon for light and the stars for navigation.God gave other animals guidance systems best suited for their conditions and needs.Migrating birds can navigate, even on overcast days, by how light is polarized as it passes through the clouds.Whales migrate by 'reading' the Earth's magnetic fields.Salmon return from the open ocean to spawn at the exact spot of their birth bysmell, if that can be imagined.Fish sense distant movements through pressure receptors that line their bodies.Bats and blind river dolphins 'see' by sonar.Certain marine organisms (the electric eel being a high-voltage example) generate and 'read' magnetic fields, allowing them to 'see' in muddy waters, or in the blackness of ocean depths.Insects communicate by pheromones.Plants sense sunlight and grow towards it (phototrophism); their roots sense gravity and grow into the earth (geotrophism). In short, God has gifted every element of His creation with guidance. Can we seriously believe he would not give us guidance on the one most important aspect of our existence, namely ourraison d'etreour reason for being? That he would not give us the tools by which to achieve salvation?
So what does the Creator, God, tell us about our purpose in life? God states in the Quran that He created the human to be His trustee on earth. Mankind's basic trust, our responsibility, is to believe in and worship God:

And I did not create the jinn and humankind except to worship Me'¦ [Quran 51:56-58]

Very simple! The purpose for man's creation is to worship the Creator. The Islamic understanding of worship allows the whole of one's life to be an act of worship, as long as the objective of that life is the pleasure of God, which is achieved by doing good and refraining from evil. A person can turn everyday activities into acts of worship by purifying his or her intention and sincerely seeking God's pleasure through these activities. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

Greeting a person is charity. Acting justly is charity. Helping a man with his steed is charity. A good word is charity. Every step taken on the way to performing prayers is charity. Removing an obstacle from the road is charity.

Worship provides the believers with many benefits that contribute to both their spiritual and worldly well-being. The human body needs material resources for its existence, like food, drink, and a means of reproduction. As for the soul, its needs cannot be fulfilled except through nearness to God by means of faith and obedience, which can only be achieved through worship.

God should be worshipped in times of hardship and times of prosperity and only through his remembrance can the human being find inner peace:

We truly know how your heart is distressed by what they say. So celebrate the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves and worship your Lord until the sure hour (of death). [Quran 15:99] those who have faith and whose hearts find peace in the remembrance of God- truly it is in the remembrance of God that hearts find peace [Quran 13:28]

God further states that He made this life in order to test man so that every person may be recompensed after death for what he has earned:

[He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving. [Quran, 67:2]

But in order to worship Him, we have to know Him well otherwise we may form a distorted concept of Him and then go astray. In the Quran, God tells humankind what He is and what He is not. For example, in response to a question about God that was posed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), God says:

Say (O Muhammad): He is God [Who is] One, God, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent. [Quran, 112]

In Islam God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine and he is the only one worthy of worship. If you agree with what you have read so far then please ask more question

Islam for Muslims / Re: Why Didn't Allah Protect The Other Holy Books? by Banjoramos(m): 1:41am On Apr 05, 2016
dalaman:
According to the muslims, Allah sent down the Torah to Moses and the Injeel to Jesus but they were later corrupted. Muslims also tell us that Allah also sent down the Koran to Mohammed but he is protecting it from corruption. The question is why will Allah send down two books and allow them to be corrupted, doesn't he want people to know the true messages he revealed? Why reveal something as important as that as an almighty God and allow mere men to corrupt it twice? Why protect the Koran over other the other two messages you have revealed? How does that make any sense? Muslims in the house over to you.

Thank you for your question
The overarching importance of the noble Quran, which Muslims believe is the word of God (Allah in Arabic), is underscored in Islam owing to a number of factors such as the following:

1. The Quran is, according to Islam, the last of the revealed scriptures of God. It clearly teaches that all the previous scriptures have been revealed by God Almighty to His prophets, though they were not preserved intact over time. Only the noble Quran has been protected from addition, deletion, or interpolation. That is why Muslims believe that today, only the noble Quran is authentic as the word of God.

And what is more, it is kept intact on a tablet preserved in Heaven for all times. And in fact, the essential message of all the earlier scriptures was extracted from the same tablet, called in the Quran the "Preserved Tablet":

{Nay, this is a Glorious Quran (inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved!} (Al-Buruj 85:21-22)

"The phrase "in the Preserved Tablet" means, it is among the higher rank groups (i.e., angels), preserved and protected from anything being added or taken away, or from any alteration or changes."
2. God Almighty in the noble Quran clearly states that all the previous scriptures were revealed provisionally for the benefit of a particular people of a particular period. But the noble Quran is the final testament of God revealed for the whole of humanity, until the Day of Judgment. For this reason, all the teachings contained in the former scriptures which were meant to be of lasting value and importance are included in the Quran.

3. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the final messenger from Allah to mankind; and he brought the final revelation from God to man. Therefore, the scripture containing this revelation is the last of the sacred scriptures.

The basic message of the noble Quran is the same as the basic message of the previous revelations and books; and the teachings and instructions by which it provides guidance for man are of a universal nature. They apply for all times to come and to all situations.

This revelation corresponds to a critical juncture that marks a stage of cultural, intellectual, and spiritual development in human history.

4. If you make a careful study of the language and subject of the Quran and the language and subject of other scriptures, you can see the clear difference of the Quran.

It is a fact that there is no scripture of any religion existing now in the same form as it existed at the time of its revelation. In most cases, we have only translations, not the original scripture.

As for the Quran, it is the original Arabic Quran that is always called the Quran, not any translation. That is to say, the noble Quran is the only scripture that exists in the same language and form in which it was originally revealed by Allah Almighty to humankind.

5. Another important point to note about the Quran is the perfect harmony between its content and language. We may get to know the meaning of the Quran from a translation, preferably with sufficient explanations. But the beauty of the Quranic language is to a great extent lost to any one who does not know Arabic.

As a matter of fact, the verses of the Quran appeal to our heart and head at the same time; as we see in them a harmony of rhyme, rhythm and reason, a matching of powerful ideas with moving expression.

We should remember that the Quran came at a time in Arabia when poetry was reigning supreme; but the master-poets of the day could not equal the Quranic richness in diction, style, and beauty. Indeed, its haunting rhythms rocked the whole of Arabia from Sudan to Syria and from Morocco to Oman, and continues to awe those who listen to it, even if they do not understand Arabic.

It is noteworthy that while the Quran continues to occupy the pedestal as an abiding model for literary Arabic, the languages of other scriptures have, more or less, become dead languages.

6. In fact, there is no other Book in human history that has molded, and is continuing to mold, the life of generations of people as the Quran. Every verse of the Book has become the unalterable source of a code of laws that govern every aspect of the life of Muslims.

This was a Book that brought into being the renowned universities and centers of learning that awakened a new enlightenment in the world, such as no other civilization of the past could match.

It was indeed a brilliant and lasting miracle of Allah effected through the Quran, which was at the center of a unique spiritual revolution, which shines through history. The Quran helped in forging unity among tribes, races and social classes. It liberated the thought patterns and the ennobled human knowledge.

The Quran also contained the criteria for social transformation.

Consequently, even some people, such as the Mongols who conquered Islamic lands and triumphed over the Muslims owing to their military superiority, lost their dominance in the end when they were confronted with the spiritual power of Islam. In addition, it is an interesting historical fact that eventually most of them even adopted the religion of the people they had conquered.

It is to be noted that the Qur’an contains the pure word of Allah. Not a single word of it is not divine. Not a single word has been deleted from its text. The Book has been handed down to our age in its complete and original form since the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).

From the time the Book began to be revealed, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dictated its text to scribes, and thus it was committed to writing as well as memory.
The Qur'an is the only scripture that is preserved in its entirety both in writing and in memory from the day of its revelation until our time—1436 years ago.

Now, the question remains to be answered: Why didn't Allah choose to preserve the earlier messages (Torah, Gospel, etc.) the way He took upon Himself the task of preserving the Qur'an?

As for the claim that Allah did not preserve Divine Books (such as Torah, Gospel, etc.) or allowed them to be tainted and corrupted, this is not true. This is because Allah entrusted the People of the Book with the task of preserving and guarding their Books from any corruption but they disobeyed Him and failed to do so.

This is stated in the Qur'an, "It was We who revealed the law (to Moses): therein was guidance and light. By its standard have been judged the Jews, by the prophets who bowed (as in Islam) to Allah's will, by the rabbis and the doctors of law: for to them was entrusted the protection of Allah's Book, and they were witnesses thereto..." (Al-Ma'idah 5:44)

That is why Allah took upon Himself to guard the Qur’an. Almighty Allah says, “Lo! We, even We, reveal the Reminder (Qur’an), and lo! We verily are its Guardian.” (Al-Hijr 15:9)

Allah Almighty knows best.

I hope this answers your question. Please, keep in touch.

Lolzzzz. I'm not sick but ya

One important point we need to understand in the first place is that the existence of God cannot be proved in the same way you prove the existence of a physical object. This is simply because God is not a physical object. Any physical object is subject to your five senses. In simple terms, you can see, hear, smell, touch or taste a physical object. This is not possible in the case of God, as He (swt) is a Transcendental Being [existing on a level beyond our sensual perception].

There are people who argue that the only form of knowledge available to humans is experiential knowledge or experimental knowledge, gained primarily by the use of outer senses. This led to the belief that human beings are constituted in such a way that the knowledge of reality is always unavailable to them; and so it resulted in a renewal of attention to the everyday world of appearances. The knowledge of here and now became the only object of human knowledge and concern. Thus from this point of view, the project of seeking knowledge of reality behind appearances must be abandoned, because it is beyond the scope of human understanding.

Now think: Can’t there be a way of “being” [existing], that is not susceptible of being perceived by the limited capabilities of humans through their defective senses?

I hope that the implications of the two expressions I used above [‘limited capabilities’ and ‘defective senses’] are evident to any thinking person. The claim that something does not exist, because you haven’t seen or heard it, etc. is untenable. When we consider the limitations of our sensual perception and of our reasoning powers, it is not necessary that we understand everything. We can speak meaningfully about everything simply on the basis of our perception. So to speak of “proof” with regard to a Transcendental Being becomes irrelevant.

What we can do is to point out facts which lead to a constant and inescapable awareness of the presence of God. It is clear that logically we cannot rule out the possibility of more things existing than can be perceived by our senses or can be arrived at by our reasoning. As for Man, there are two dimensions to his existence: One of matter and the other of spirit.

Reduced merely to the level of material existence, Man becomes a machine, or a mere animal at best. But think of a machine that rebels against being a machine; or of an animal that refuses to be an animal. That is what man is! What is it that makes him rebellious, angry, disappointed, frightened or hopeful? What is his dimension that gives him his imagination, his artistic genius, his creative urge? Why does he have nightmares and sweet dreams?

It is not matter that does it; evidently it is his spirit that makes him so different from animals. So to base our knowledge of the world and our philosophy of life simply on the material side of our existence to the complete exclusion of the spiritual dimension, is undoubtedly faulty. The strength of Islam as a philosophy and as a way of life is that it does not separate man’s material life from spiritual life, and that it seeks a balance between the two dimensions of human existence.

We should understand that human spirit is a reality incommensurable with material realities, and that it owes its existence only to God. Thus dear brother, if we ponder over the phenomena of the world around us and over the complexities of our own existence, we are bound to conclude that God is the Reality behind all appearances. The Holy Qur’an says in Surah 2, verse 164, the meaning of the following:
*{Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which God Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- [Here] indeed are signs for a people that are wise.}*

That is to say the external signs we see in the universe should necessarily lead a wise person to the Ultimate Reality behind it all. And that is how we arrive at the realization that Allah Almighty is the Moving Power behind all life and all existence.

And Allah knows best.

How I wish Muslims and Christian should come together as one then the whole world will be in peace because Jehovah care for all of us be it Christian or Muslim.

The raster man called him jah

Muslims called him Allah

English man called him God.
But he is Jehovah.
We may have different names to called him but he cares for everyone.

Muslims and Christian let us stop fighting each other and start seeing ourselves as one.

A message from Godswillnwaoma.

As Muslims we are encouraged in the Quran and by our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to respect the beliefs of others. It is a fundamental principle of Islam that there is to be no compulsion in religion.

Whilst respecting others’ right to believe whatever they wish and whilst admiring the deep faith of many sincere individuals, Muslims would nonetheless like to tell others about Islam.

Muslims believe that Islam is the natural religion of mankind and that it has existed since the beginning of time. Allah Almighty spoke to His Creation right from the very beginning of time through Prophets.

It surely makes sense that the message He sent through these Prophets was the same message. It would make no sense at all that Allah would send different messages. Why would He do this? Is it to confuse people?

No, Muslims believe that the one message spoken by all Prophets was the Oneness of God. God, in other words, is without partner or equal and there is nothing like unto Him.

So are we saying, then, that Christians and Jews are telling lies when they speak about God? No, we are not. Muslims believe that over time the one message proclaimed by all Prophets became distorted, either through translation or even by deliberate effort on the part of some.

The specific messages given by individual Prophets were given to a particular people at a particular time in history. That is why Allah Almighty allowed these messages to become altered: they were never intended to last.

The message revealed to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), however, was intended for all people and for all time, so it has remained completely unaltered since it was first revealed fourteen hundred years ago.

The problem that many people have today is that they have been fed a particular narrative for over two thousand years. In just a few days’ time, people all over the world will celebrate the ressurection of Jesus (peace be upon him).

Christian art, architecture, sculpture and poetry have all reinforced this notion of Jesus as God’s Son, born in a stable in Bethlehem, and people have come to accept this as fact, just as many people accept as fact that the same Jesus died on the Cross.

Muslims follow another narrative. The Quran tells them that Jesus did not die on the Cross and that he was not God’s son. Whilst his birth is described in the Quran, it is different to the one we have in the versions of the Christian Gospel which were chosen, from among many, by the early Church to represent it’s belief.

In talking to sincere Christian believers, then, we first have to begin, with tact and with respect, to suggest that what they believe as fact is not necessarily true.

The greatest appeal we have as Muslims is to appeal to reason. Islam teaches that there is a God and this God has spoken to His Creation since the beginning of time. This God can do whatever He wills and He needs no one else to help Him in His plan for Creation.

It just doesn’t make sense that this God would need to send a son down to earth to die on the Cross to save people from a sin committed at the beginning of time by Adam and Eve.

God can do whatever He wants. In the Muslim version of the Adam and Eve story, Adam and Eve are indeed tempted and do sin, but they are forgiven. They repented and Allah accepted their repentance and forgave them. Sending them down out of Paradise to the earth was not a punishment from Allah for what they did. Rather, it was something that Allah had destined for them before He ever created them. All of this is a part of the Divine Plan of Allah to make the world a “testing ground” as it were, for them and all the humans that came after them.
Their descendants forever don’t carry with them the guilt of that first sin. In such a case, even if Jesus (peace be upon him) did come down to earth to save mankind, what would he save them from?

Islam is so very simple. As Muslims we have made it seem so very complicated. The message of Islam, that there is a God Who speaks, speaks directly to the hearts of all people. Allah only needs to say to a thing “Be” and it is. He does not need a son or anyone else to help him. This is a very reasonable and sensible belief.

In talking to sincere believers of other faiths we need to approach each other with respect and to suggest very gently that they look again at what they believe and ask themselves is their belief reasonable and sensible.
Indeed, we believe that Islam is the fullness of revelation, completing all that had gone before and presenting a simple way for men and women to approach their Creator.

abnsugbe:
Wen u tell them, their Religion is evil,u will be attacked....quote me,curse me one tin am sure of is dat,the entire world would have been a better place without #islam.....

No one know what Is between Ese and her lover and Yunisa action has nothing to do with Islam and moreover if you allow media to educate you about Islam the only thing you will learn is hate.
Islam is the message that some people don't want to hear, but the answer they're looking for.
Islam does not diminish; the more it is fought against, the more it intensifies. Like fire; you spread it when you blow at it to extinguish it:

{Know you that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, in rivalry among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight the hearts of the tillers; soon it withers; you will see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the hereafter is a penalty severe for the devotees of wrong. And forgiveness from Allah and His good pleasure for the devotees of Allah. And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception?} (Al-Hadid 57:20)

As evidenced by the above verses, Islam attaches little value to this world and its allurements as opposed to the eternal world of happiness prepared in the hereafter for those who believe and do good.

All the same, this world has its importance as the tilth for the hereafter. So anyone who seeks the blessings of the hereafter should work for it in this world, even by making good use of its provisions:

{But seek, with the wealth which Allah has bestowed on you, the Home of the hereafter, nor forget your portion in this world: but do you good, as Allah has been good to you, and seek not occasions for mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief.} (Al-Qasas 28:77)

What's stopping you from looking into Islam? Common sense should tell a person that since Islam is definitely the truth that their is definitely going to be false and negative propaganda surrounding #Islam.

Do you thing Shaytan the devil wants to make it easy for you to find and accept the truth? No he will make as much confusion around it as possible with lies and distortion as what were seeing today, but anyone who is sincerely looking for the truth God Almighty the Creator will facilitate the way for them to finding and accepting the truth of ISLAM.

The key point is that your sincerely wanting the truth and sincerely asking the Creator alone to guide you and help you get to it.

"Did you think that We had created you in play (without any purpose), and that you would not be brought back to Us?"
(Quran23:15)

The focus of a Muslim is not on this world but on the world to come.

Religion / Re: Christianity Or Islam Which Religion First Existed? by Banjoramos(m): 9:07pm On Feb 29, 2016
FreeBoss:
Christianity or Islam which religion first existed?
Bible or Quaran which one was first written going
by history?

From veteran historians and history lovers, I want
to know from you which one of the two first existed,
christianity or islam?
Salam Brother Freeboss,

Thank you for your question

Let me first correct your statement that “Christianity or Islam which religion first existed?”. On the contrary, it can be proved that Islam came to correct the deviations of Christians and Jews away from the original message, which was basically Islam. It is the message by which all Prophets were sent, starting with Adam to the seal of prophets, Muhammad, peace be upon them all.

This can be verified through a careful unbiased reading of the Bible itself. The Bible is a collection of human books documenting the traditions of the Israelites and early Christians. Hence, they are not the word of God. Yet, whatever is attributed therein to either Moses or Jesus can be shown to directly nullify the major beliefs advocated by the Christian Churches.

God – in the Bible - is “One” according to the following examples:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is One Lord.” (Deuteronomy 6:4)

“Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord He is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.”
(Deuteronomy 4:39)

“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is One Lord: (Mark 12:29)

“Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve. (Matthews 4:10)

Regarding the so-called “divine sonship” of Jesus, Jesus himself referred to God as “Father”, i.e. Guardian, Provider, Cherisher … etc. for all people, including Jesus:

“And he said unto them: ‘When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.’” (Luke 11:2)

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.” (Matthews 5: 9)

“That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret Himself shall reward thee openly.” (Matthews 6:4)

“Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them: ‘I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.’” (John 20:17)

Jesus even repeatedly – in the Bible - referred to himself as the “son of Man”:

“And Jesus saith unto him: ‘The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the son of Man hath not where to lay his head.’” (Matthews 8:20)

“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the son of Man be lifted up.” (John 3:14)

Actually, the claimed “original sin and atonement” contradicts the Bible:

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” (Deuteronomy 24:16)

“But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.” (Jeremiah 31:30)

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.” (Ezkiel 18:20)

It is a fact that children are born sinless, so the “original sin” cannot be inherited:

“But Jesus said: ‘Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.’” (Matthews 19:14)

Why then should God – unjustly - sacrifice his “alleged” son to die on the cross and be raised from among the dead, for the salvation of all humanity? Here again we are faced with a contradiction to the sayings of Jesus:

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.” (Matthews 7:1-2)

It was Paul, not Jesus, who advocated these claims, against the original teachings of Jesus:

“Then was Saul [Paul] certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.
And straightway he preached Christ in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God.” (Acts 9:19-20)

“And some said: ‘What will this babbler [Paul] say?’ Other some: ‘He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.’” (Acts 17:18)

“Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my [Paul’s] gospel.” (2 Timothy 2:cool

To conclude, Islam accepts and is the completed final version of the previous messages originally revealed to Moses and Jesus, as well as Abraham, Noah …etc.

In the Quran, Allah Almighty says what means:

{Truly, the religion with Allah is Islam. Those who were given the Scripture (Jews and Christians) did not differ except, out of mutual jealousy, after knowledge had come to them. And whoever disbelieves in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, then surely, Allah is Swift in calling to account.}
(Aal-Imran 3:19)

Allah Almighty also says what means:

He (Allah) has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He ordained for Nooh (Noah), and that which We have inspired in you (O Muhammad), and that which We ordained for Ibraheem (Abraham), Moosa (Moses) and Iesa (Jesus) saying you should establish religion (i.e. to do what it orders you to do practically), and make no divisions in it (religion) (i.e. various sects in religion). Intolerable for the Mushrikoon, is that to which you (O Muhammad) call them. Allah chooses for Himself whom He wills, and guides unto Himself who turns to Him in repentance and in obedience.

And they divided not till after knowledge had come to them, through selfish transgression between themselves. And had it not been for a Word that went forth before from your Lord for an appointed term, the matter would have been settled between them. And verily, those who were made to inherit the Scripture (i.e. the Taurah (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)) after them (i.e. Jews and Christians) are in grave doubt concerning it (i.e. Allahs true religion Islam or the Quran).

So unto this (religion of Islam, alone and this Quran) then invite (people) (O Muhammad), and Istaqim ((i.e. stand firm and straight on Islamic Monotheism by performing all that is ordained by Allah (good deeds, etc.), and by abstaining from all that is forbidden by Allah (sins and evil deeds, etc.)), as you are commanded, and follow not their desires but say: "I believe in whatsoever Allah has sent down of the Book (all the holy Books, this Quran and the Books of the old from the Taurat (Torah), or the Injeel (Gospel) or the Pages of Ibrahim (Abraham)) and I am commanded to do justice among you, Allah is our Lord and your Lord. For us our deeds and for you your deeds. There is no dispute between us and you. Allah will assemble us (all), and to Him is the final return.
{Quran 42:13-15}

Thus, Islam is the first and the only message to remain preserved intact to the end-of-time. Allah also says what means:
{Surely We, Ever We, have been sending down the Remembrance, and surely We are indeed Preservers of it.} (Al-Hijr 15:9)

I hope my answer is satisfactory. If you need any more clarification please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thank you again for your question and please keep in touch.

Salam.

brandchambers:
Religion of peace indeed. If this was to be the other way round, all hell would have been let loose. Islam at best can only offer the 'peace' of the graveyard. It is permissible to force somebody to convert to Islam, ironically, a former muslim who renege the religion is deemed to have committed apostasy punishable with death under their Sharia. I'm so convinced that could not be God. Otherwise why did he created human differently, if we could not exercise our Right of Choice and freewill. I will rather worship any of the Yoruba gods than worship an Arab god. That's my take.

you have mentioned that ‘any person should be free to follow the faith he chooses and should not be forced’. This undoubtedly is a very noble principle and as a Muslim we acknowledge it as such.
You too agree that the teaching of the Quran is exactly the same – that there should not be any coercion in religion. But I understand that you are not prepared to accept it as a valid teaching of Islam, based on your allegation.
Now let us come specifically to the question of apostasy. The first point to be emphasized is that the Noble Quran does not prescribe death penalty for deserters of Islam, but rather states that they would be in Hell in the hereafter:

{…Your enemies] will not cease to fight against you till they have turned you away from your faith, if they can. But if any of you should turn away from his faith and die as a denier of the truth - these it is whose works will go for nought in this world and in the life to come; and these it is who are destined for the fire, therein to abide.} (Quran 2:217)

Here is a verse that directly refers to people who abandon their faith after accepting it. It says what means:

{But those who reject faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of faith never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have [of set purpose] gone astray.} (Quran 3:90)

As you can see, there is no mention here of the death penalty for the deserters.

But there are Muslim scholars who believe in the death penalty for apostates because of hadiths that mention it.

If we study the context of these hadiths, we can see that the ruling was with reference to certain specific cases of miscreants who wished to undermine Islam, by joining Islam first and then deserting it. This is mentioned in the following verse that says what means:

{A section of the People of the Book [Jews and Christians] say: "Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers [Muslims], but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may [themselves] turn back [from Islam]."} (Quran 3:72)

In order to protect Islam from such malicious attempts to subvert it, death penalty might have been deemed necessary.
This indeed was a drastic step adopted to ensure the solidarity of the nascent Muslim community in those days.

If it had been a general ruling applicable for all occasions, this would have been stated in the Quran because it is a life-and-death question that affects the very fabric of Islam most seriously.

On the other hand, read the verse that says what means:

{Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed [to God's will] in Islam. Leave them alone to enjoy [the good things of this life] and to please themselves: let [false] hope amuse them: soon will knowledge [undeceive them].} (Quran 15:2-3)

This verse clearly indicates that the disbelievers should be left alone. Moreover, the killing of apostates would undermine the freedom of will Allah has bestowed on each human, as is made clear in the verses that say what means:

{If it had been thy Lord's will, they would all have believed, all who are on earth! Wilt thou then compel mankind, against their will, to believe! No soul can believe, except by the will of God, and He will place doubt (or obscurity) on those who will not understand.} (Quran 10:99-100)

{Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject [it]: for the wrong doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a dwelling (resting place)!"} (Quran 18:29)

The verses quoted above are categorical that complete freedom of will is a condition for sincere and wholehearted submission to Allah Almighty, and no force should be used in this regard. This is because coercion does not go along with freedom of choice.

In addition, we may consider another verse, too, which says what means:

{Those who believe, then reject faith, then believe [again] and [again] reject faith, and go on increasing in unbelief, — Allah will not forgive them nor guide them on the way.} (Quran 4:137)

The example of a person who vacillates between Islam and disbelief is cited here. Note the expression: {believe, then reject faith, then believe [again] and [again] reject faith}.

How can we imagine a person becoming a Muslim a second time, after rejecting faith once, IF he is to be killed after his rejection? The significance of this verse is one of free choice; though one is expected to be responsible in the use of that choice.

Thus we see that the general teaching of the Quran is one of freedom of choice and mercy.

Everyone is a Potential Muslim means that everyone has that God given gift and potential to acquire peace in life by surrendering themselves alone to their Creator. This is what a Muslim is!

A Human being regardless will end up worshiping something in life if he doesn't worship the Creator, be it,Spirit, money, cars, fashion, Idols, Saints, human beings, himself etc..But by Worshiping the Creator and not the creation that's when you are truly free and at peace with a promise of Paradise at the end of this life.
Islam provides all the evidence to you the sceptic to prove that it is the truth from God.

The focus of a Muslim is not on this world but on the world to come.

Science can explain all they can and want but the truth/fact is that GOD IS AWESOMELY GREAT!

The Holy Quran mentioned that there is a barrier between two seas that meet and that they do not transgress.  God has said:

He (God) has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together.

Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress.

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Out of them both come out pearl and coral.

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?

Islam for Muslims / Jihad: Its True Meaning And Purpose by Banjoramos(m): 10:36am On Feb 05, 2016
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

Actually, as it has been clarified again and again that while Jihad serves as a means of defense for Muslims against aggression, and acts as a deterrent factor against any anti-Islam scheme launched by enemies, it must never be construed as something synonymous with aggression.

Jihad is never a tool of waging war against the innocents; it's never a means of flexing muscles or bullying the weak and oppressed. Jihad in Islam is something unique, established to defend the divine message from being eliminated or hindered by its enemies.

Shedding more light on the true concept of Jihad,

Allah says, (And strive in His cause as ye ought to strive (with sincerity and under discipline). He has chosen you, and has imposed no difficulties on you in religion; it is the religion of your father Abraham. It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims, both before and in this (Revelation); that the Messenger may be a witness for you, and you be witnesses for mankind! So establish regular Prayer, give regular Charity, and hold fast to Allah! He is your Protector, the best to protect and the Best to help!) (Al-Hajj 22: 78)

Jihad is one of the most misunderstood, and abused aspects of Islam. There are some Muslims who exploit and misuse this concept for their own political objectives. There are many non-Muslims who misunderstand it. There are some non-Muslims who misinterpret it to discredit Islam and Muslims.

What is Jihad?

The word Jihad does not mean “Holy War”. It means “struggle” or “striving”. The word for war in the Qur’an is “Harb” or “Qital”. Jihad means serious and sincere struggle on the personal as well as on the social level. It is a struggle to do good and to remove injustice, oppression and evil from the society. This struggle should be spiritual as well as social, economic and political. Jihad is to work hard to do right things. In the Qur’an this word is used in its different forms 33 times. It often comes with other Qur’anic concepts such as faith, repentance, righteous deeds and migration.

Jihad is to protect one’s faith and one’s human rights. Jihad is not a war always although it can take the form of war. Islam is the religion of peace, but it does not mean that Islam accepts oppression. Islam teaches that one should do one’s utmost to eliminate tension and conflict. Islam promotes non-violent means to bring change and reform. Actually, Islam urges that one should eliminate evil through peaceful means without the use of force as much as possible. In Islamic history from the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) until now, Muslims most of the time resisted oppression and struggled for liberation in non-violent and peaceful manners.

Islam teaches proper ethics in the situation of war also. The war is permissible in Islam, but only when other peaceful means such as dialogue, negotiations and treaties fail. It is a last resort and should be avoided as much as possible. Its purpose is not to convert people by force, or to colonize people or to acquire land or wealth or for self-glory. Its purpose is basically: defense of life, property, land, honor and freedom for oneself as well as defense of others from injustice and oppression.

The basic rules of war in Islam are:

 1. Be strong so that your enemy fear you and should not attack you.

2. Do not begin the hostilities. Work for peace as much as possible.

3. Fight only those who fight, no collective punishment; non-combatants should not be harmed. Weapons of mass destruction should not be used.

4. Stop hostilities as soon as the other party is inclined to peace.

5. Observe the treaties and agreements as long as the enemy observes them.

Allah says very clearly: (Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not do aggression, for Allah loves not the aggressors.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 190)

(The prohibited month, for the prohibited month, and so for all things prohibited, there is the law of equality. If then any one transgresses the prohibition against you, transgress ye likewise against him. But fear Allah, and know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 194)

Jihad is not terrorism:

It is to be emphasized that terrorism against the innocent civilians, whether through aggression or suicidal means, is under no circumstances permissible in Islam. Islam encourages the oppressed people to struggle for their liberation and it commands other Muslims to help those who are oppressed and suffering, but Islam does not allow, under any circumstance, terrorism against non-combatants and innocent people. Terrorism is not Jihad, it is Fasad (mischief). It is against the teachings of Islam. There are some people who use their twisted arguments to justify terrorism for their causes, but it has no justification: Allah says: (When it is said to them: 'Make not mischief on the earth,' they say: 'Why, we only want to correct things.' Indeed they are the mischief doers, but they realize (it) not.) (Al-Baqarah 2: 11-12)

Islam wants to establish a world order where all human beings - Muslims and non-Muslims - can live with justice in peace, harmony and good will. It gives its followers full guidelines to find peace in their personal and social lives, but it also tells them how to extend the good will on the basis of human relations towards others. Muslims worked under these principles for centuries. People of many faiths lived with them and among them. Islamic societies were known for their tolerance, generosity and humanity.

In our modern society where we are living in a global village, where non-Muslims are living with Muslims in the Muslim countries and Muslims are living with non-Muslims in countries where non-Muslims constitute a majority, it is our duty to bring better understanding among ourselves, work for peace and justice for all people and cooperate with each other in matters of goodness and virtue in order to stop all terrorism, aggression and violence against the innocent people. This is our Jihad today.

Allah Almighty knows best.

Question: How dumb are most average Africans?
How dumb do you need to belief in God?

Proof that Faith is Natural from science and disbelief is acquired

A study conducted in 2011 by the University of Oxford involving 57 researchers who conducted over 40 separate studies in 20 different countries representing a diverse range of cultures indicated that belief is natural.

Dr. Justin Barrett of the University of Oxford's Centre for
Anthropology and Mind says: "The preponderance of scientific evidence for the past 10 years or so has shown … a predisposition to see the natural world as designed and purposeful and that some kind of intelligent being is behind that purpose. If we threw a handful [of people] on an island and they raised themselves I think they would believe in God."

Professor Pascal Boyer, an anthropologist at Washington
University, says "Religious thinking seems to be the path of least resistance for our cognitive systems. By contrast, disbelief is generally the work of deliberate, effortful work against our natural cognitive dispositions — hardly the easiest ideology to propagate"

The French Philosopher Henri Bergson said, “Many

malvisguy212:
Man let alone will chose death instead of life, that is why God provide option for us when He gave His son to pay the price for our sin. Chose Jesus and live chose muhammed and die.

Surah 72:21: Say, “I possess no
power to harm you, NOR TO GUIDE YOU
.”

Is it not a prophet’s duty to guide the congregation of God to the “Right Path”? Can you now depend on this man to guide you to salvation?

Surah 39:30: “You Muhammad are
destined to die and so are they.”

Now compear the above quranic verse with this assurance Jesus gave His Disciples:

John 14:19: “Because I live, you will
live also.”

The different is life and death, every right thinking man who is not under satanic spell will chose life (JESUS)

{O Mankind!  The Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe, then, for your own good!

And if you deny the truth - behold, unto God belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, and God is indeed all-knowing, wise!} (Quran 4:170)

God invites all human beings to accept Muhammad as His "Messenger" who brought truth from his Lord.

A "messenger" of God, in Islamic doctrine, is more than a prophet. A prophet is essentially someone who foretells the future.

A "messenger" is a moral teacher appointed by God to carry the divine message to others based on revelation he receives.

The reception of ‘message’ from God is termed ‘revelation.’ Islamic tradition views all ‘messengers’ as prophets, but all prophets are not considered ‘messengers.’ Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad (peace be upon them) are viewed as messengers.

Why should someone accept Muhammad as God’s messenger?

Muhammad was a fulfillment of the biblical prophecies of Moses and Jesus.

Muhammad had an impeccable character and lived a perfect life that has been preserved like no other man’s.

His religious teachings and morals are the best solution to modernity’s predicaments.

The Quran, the scripture he brought from God to the world, is an inimitable literary miracle and the only world scripture that has been preserved word by word.

In short, everything about him and from him is simply true.

Those who do not know this man are invited to learn more about him, as God Himself has announced that belief in Muhammad is better for the person’s own good.

If he does so, he will live a happy, disciplined existence in this life, and after death he will live for eternity in Paradise.

If someone chooses to reject him (and, consequently, the One who sent him), it will not harm God or His messenger in anyway, but rather only harm the one who rejects.

Everything in the universe belongs to God He knows everything and is wise in what He commands and creates.

The creator God is not harmed by your disobedience to him, but YOU are the one who will be in great distress in this life and the next
