Seriously, what is this public demonstration of money by conspicuous spenders?

Okay, one confessed that it is because he never had anything in his life. So you have to shame the poor and instigate others to acquire by any means in a country where majority are dirt poor?

So, the reason is to encourage armed robbery, looting and incite jealousy.

Porverty upon porverty. No wonder the poor believe the only way to riches are ritual and prayers by building the world biggest church.

These days even Yahoo Yahoo and 419 or 420, pure fraudulent activities believe in rituals.

It Takes More Than The Politicians To Loot Africa Dry

Did Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar just preach floating Naira and devaluation again? Just when one is staying away from the major old political warhorses and pray that the common man would open his eyes and realize we have to choose younger and conscientious African oriented folks as President, one of them like Atiku revealed his motive.

Adeshina Fagbero-Byron, Omoyele Sowore, Obi Ezekwesili, Nuhu Ribadu and a host of other decent politicians are not getting the attention they deserve. Ghana may not have as much resources as Nigeria but they have produced better Presidential candidates and Presidents.

Are African countries better off today than they were before their economy was forced to “liberalized” or “float” their currencies? Foreign currencies were illegal at one point. It was so restrictive in Nigeria, innocent people trying to pay workers traveling overseas with them were convicted. Fela Onikulapo Kuti was convicted even when all he had was about the same amount allowed by each member of his crew. Chief Harold Shodipo was also convicted at one point. These were under Military rule. Now everyone plays the game to exhaust foreign reserve.

https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/272715/it-takes-more-than-the-politicians-to-loot-africa-dry.html#

Before each of these economic measures were introduced, most African economists played the game while a few of their colleagues warned of disaster. Both Structural Adjustment and Devaluation were preached for the sake of liberalized market. The usual argument is that as African goods, services and natural resources are made cheaper, more of it would be exported generating businesses and jobs. Who is fooling who?

Since Independence, each of these measures has dug a bigger hole for African countries and they have never been able to recover. In actual fact, Africa lost resources, bought dirt cheap. African currencies became worthless and jobs creation unable to cope with the population. We have been able to point to the increase in the number of schools and colleges. Even those lost their reputation without enough income to fund them.

The best time to deliberate vigorously on the consequences of Structural Adjustment and devaluation is when both or either is not imminent. It gives room for debate without acrimonious defenses or personal grudges. In all the past cases, the discussion has always been from the point of view of western and eastern world brooding on the neck of developing countries so that they could take profit out to the rigged market they control.

The fact is Atiku brought up devaluation again! While it is true that there may be ongoing debate in academic journals, they never get to the folks that are affected most until almost time for election or implementation. It is then the newspapers and internet sites are flooded with advantages and disadvantages. It is mainly to satisfy the apprehension of masses since decisions have already been made by those in the position to accept or reject it.

International Foreign Corporations and Foreign Investors always threaten jobs, layoffs and salary cuts though they usually pay considerably lower than in their home countries. Their countries back them up by threatening conditional access to international aids, corporate loan, grants, and technical assistance. In the case of loan, it would only be given to pay off previous odious loans and renegotiations. Wise Africans should have seen through all these by now.

While the big boys fight for liberal access to African foreign reserves in the name of the common man and had to import frivolities that they claim was essential for businesses and jobs, big companies that made profits without accountability before Independence, avoided tariff, taxes and sometimes outright smuggling of natural resources in collusion with Customs and Navy selfishly. Shareholder of foreign corporations give them remnants of leftovers profit.

Africa economy dung deeper into abyss contrary to what economic gurus working for in their masters’ interest told us. We must be fair to some African countries that resisted the glare of economic miracle by opening our markets wide for exploiters. Ujamaa was crushed in Tanzania and Mwalimu Nyerere economic theory buried in disgust. Lumumba tried to convert to socialism and he was properly dealt with humiliating death.

Kwame Nkrumah that saw the situation before it devastated Africa, warned us about Neo-colonialism. He was labeled a looter with special taste for ladies and properties. He died with very few if anything after he was overthrown. You would think that African economists would rise to the impending disaster and confront economic values that were not in our interest. No, most of them double down justifying Voodoo Economy.

The consequences of this glamour that never materialized were the roles average African citizen played in their own economic demise. Every money they accumulated were spent outside Africa. They spent their money on manufactured material goods made outside killing their own budding industries. They are famously called consumers of ready-made goods and producers of nothing!

Most of their savings went to British Airways, American and other foreign airlines and lately to Dubai and other Arab countries. They go on sponsored pilgrimage to Mecca and Jerusalem while they built the biggest Churches and Mosques in Africa. While it is true that these petty leeches are more in number, the big vagabonds are not as many but they hide behind petty thieves to loot Africa’s forex dry.

Structural Adjustment killed middleclass Africans. We never learned, they came back asking for more devaluations against their paper promissory notes against ours backed by gold standard.

Bet The End Of Tinubu Dynasty In Lagos

Looking for just anybody to bet his house that this is the end of Yekini Amoda Ogunlere (alias Tinubu) in Lagos after Ambode succumbed, only some people would offer their houses. Most people would rather “siddon look” and others would bet with bitcoin. The reason is that after Tinubu worshipping of Pa Dawodu in order to secure the governorship against Funso Williams, he sent Pa Dawodu regretting to his grave. As for Funso Williams, the way he met his tragic death is still a mystery.

Tinubu is yet to meet his match in Lagos. So far, he has floored everyone he wanted to, by the wayside. Lagos remains the only place in Nigeria where outsiders can come and dominate the indigenous people. It is easier for a Yoruba to dominate since Lagosians originated from the same ethnic group. Each time Lagosians complained, the ready-made answer is: if they would rather prefer non-Yoruba to rule Lagos.

Lagosians pride themselves in morals, decency and background of their parents. They may love clean stylish expensive clothing, professions under their fathers’ gbetesi, fine wine, beautiful ladies and feferity like most privileged class; they were not vagabonds or intolerant. Unlike those days when they were taken for granted, Lagosians can boast of any profession worldwide in general and inside Nigeria particularly.

The fight between Tinubu and Fashola was between a Lagosian and Arokian from Iragbigi. If Tinubu could get Oba Eko to support him so that he and quibbling parties could get “settled” like many Nigerians, Fashola could only ask for his own price or lose everything. The fear of going to war with Tinubu has always been the reason he defeated all those that refused to give him more of all he wants in Lagos.

Lagosian are now American Indians in their own state as others decide their destiny. It is the same game that brought Ambode to power, that has capitulated his second term. Lagos is too sweet not to milk. None of them was willing to give up the potential booty in case Tinubu eventually got his way. The difference in the case of Ambode is that Lagosians were hoping they would both knock each other out since Ambode is from Ondo and Tinubu is from Osun State.

The fact that PDP was able to defeat APC in Osun, narrowly however, before APC won the rerun, shook Tinubu and his believers to his invulnerable myth to the core. They had to stage a comeback and retake Osun by every and all means necessary. Indeed, they did. However, it also demonstrated that Tinubu was not all that powerful as they thought he was. It was Mimiko that first demonstrated that in Ondo. Then, Akeredolu within APC. Just as he could not block Fayemi and Fashola as ministers in Buhari’s cabinet.

Indeed, Saraki defied him and became Senate President. Despite all the brinkmanship, heaven did not fall on Saraki. Saraki is so bold, he is promising Lagosians he has the magic to subdue Tinubu. Mind you, both Saraki and Tinubu are from the same magomago school of thought. Their only way to power is to loot the hell out of the state and bribe their way from the police, judges to renting a crowd to avoid jail.

Lagosians have been turned into spectators in their own state. They watch as non-indigenes fight over the control of their state. The fact that Tinubu is the biggest landlord in Lagos, the alpha and omega whose iron grip cannot be broken except by natural divine power is overblown. The prayer must be that Tinubu remains alive, well and hearty so that he could be dispossessed of all the loot. Otherwise his household would inherit all.

When we were growing up, there was this saying that “Eko O Gba Gbere Rara O’! These days, Eko gba ole, ole, vagabonds and looters to strive. They do not even have to be from Lagos. The only way to understand this is to remember another adage that Kokoro to nje ewa, inu ewa lo gbe. Lagosians are their own worst enemies. The way to explain that is to go back to Pa Dawodu again that gave Tinubu the opportunity to climb.

Funso Williams, Docemu, Finnih, Obanikoro, Tinubu and others were contesting for the Primary. Their game plan was to pitch tent together against Funso as the most viable and worry less about Tinubu as the least viable. They claimed Funso was not a member of NADECO when they were fighting Abacha. Once they got over Funso, non-Lagosian like Tinubu had no chance. Oh well, well, the rest is history.

Tinubu started with little lies about his origin, primary and secondary schools and even the university he graduated from in United States. His record of plea-deal for drug trafficking in United States was later exposed. The fact that he can still enter United States today makes him a suspect as their informer. All these have become no-big-deal in a country where armed and pen robbers brag that they are better than kidnappers.

So Lagosians Yoruba cousins have a point that but for them, Lagos could have been taken over by other ethnic groups. This is the advantage Tinubu exploit in Lagos. He had lost to Funso Williams during the Primary in Lagos but claimed he got more votes outside Lagos. His staying power in a state where he has no family or origin, is in the number of Lagosians’ Yoruba cousins that prefer him. So, he adopted Tinubu, Lagos close cousins from Abeokuta.

Lagosians were very accommodative to a fault. So much so that of all the cities and states in Nigeria, Lagos is the only place strangers call No Mans Land! In a country where everyone and state look after his own, Lagosians are struggling for recognition and leadership positions in their own state.

The real disadvantage they have in politics is that they are a minority inside their own state. But for the inclusion of greater Lagos as a state, they could have been overwhelmed. So today Ikeja, Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu and part of Ogun State are practically part of Lagos. Ironically, non-Lagosians do not know the difference between Lagos and the old Western Region. Many of them do not even live in Lagos.

The best Lagosians can hope for is the repeat of Governor Otedola ascendance when nobody would bet on him. He got in despite popular party in Lagos that got too confident and lost the gubernatorial election. Tinubu, his avarice and believers may get on their high horse hoping Lagos is their last their last place of respite. They are aware of how Pa Otedola became the Governor in Lagos and would guard against a repeat.

But na monkey go kill itself!

There is a lesson most of us must learn here: after all the money looted by moneybags, it was not enough. They now want the opportunity to become President. Tinubu As Godfather Atiku Or Saraki As President Is Chin-Bian

Those of us pointing to China and Zambia (Chin-Bian) parasitic or commensalism relationship must watch where the rest of the four fingers are pointing to. The same way Lagosians lost their State to Yekini Amuda Ogunlere (alias Tinubu), we would lose Nigeria. Actually, we may have lost it already, what we need now is a rescue mission. As Lagos goes, so goes Nigeria. Africa is so indebted to western and Chinese loans with very little to show for it in a century.

When most reasonable people keep on digging deeper into their own graves, one would expect that at certain point, they would stop after realizing they are not getting anywhere redeemable. Asians and the western world are now competing with one another about which loan is better for Africa! So Africans do not know what is good for them, abi?

https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/270775/tinubu-as-godfather-atiku-or-saraki-as-president-is-chin-bia.html#

Tinubu settles his differences only if he gets bigger percentage of our state revenue. We just love parasites in our midst. They are like those rats that chew parts of your body while blowing it to make you feel good. Otherwise, it is hard to understand why we keep on voting for the bad politicians that are comfortable promising heaven and earth when we know they are never up to any good. They appeal to our weakest points as ethnicity, greed and stomach infrastructure.

Look at the crop of people parading themselves as Presidential candidates, their only qualification is the ability to steal, rig and usurp positions against party or electoral rules. They have no ideology to preach or for us to emulate but the ability to jump from one party to another without any principle or what they stand for. What is amazing is that they have enough of our money to buy anyone including the crowd, police, judge and jury.

So, can they buy all of us? This says more about how individuals have polluted our community with impunity where bandits in broad daylight would be campaigning for votes. Otherwise such vices and corrupt mentalities would not flourish within us. However, there are image makers trying to white-wash all the atrocities they had committed as acts of omission, neglect, mistake or misunderstanding. Some even claimed they had compensated our loss from their pockets.

Atiku or Saraki for President? Please! These are the reasons Africa’s giant has been paralyzed by OBJ’s Transcorp Thieves, USA law refugees, bank bandits that robbed and embezzled the saving of common people at Society General Bank, continued until lately to milk the people of Kwara State of funds and pension needed for development and salary while at the same time looting as the Senate President. Who is it we hate so much more than ourselves?

There is a lesson most of us must learn here: after all the money looted by moneybags, it was not enough. They now want the opportunity to become President. After all, some of them are godfathers of governors. So the next step is to stand for the highest office in the land. If billions were not enough, would trillions or more be enough without looking for another toy to play with or stimulate their fancy?

We thought these people have all the money, houses, cars, ladies and men they want. Yet, they shed crocodile tears, buy guguru and groundnut in public to appear like one of us just to garner votes, goodwill and sympathy. Yepa, they even ask us to buy them party nomination forms. It is surprising that they actually think sensible people would believe them or they are appealing to their favorite constituency - “the uneducated” like in other “saner” climes of the world.

Each of these candidates from Tambulwa to those Obasanjo are anointing today, had breached the trust of the people, the rules of their parties jumping from one bed to another and humiliated themselves around the world getting jailed, plea bargain, showing lack of integrity, fair play and good dealings. Still, they want our votes to wash their outrageous conducts away.

Many of them are internationally wanted fugitives running away from international laws they have violated: money laundering laws by their rapacious greed. But these are folks that want to represent our country on the world stage. If they have lost all sense of remorse or guilt, they should spare the decent people left in this country, the humiliation. This is why most of the folks in the country have given up. Saro say na poor I poor no be craze I craze.

Agreed that we do not have desirable candidates one is proud of, apart from the new younger candidates. Most folks are not giving the fresh faces a chance to win since the same voters are not bold enough to give them the confidence to boost their chances. It does not mean we should neglect all rational thinking and encourage bandits into the highest office. They are well known looters, yet they have the guts to be running for President and anointing governors.

It is hard to say if it is a question of collective short term memories loss, especially about the best show we ever witness after “If you Tarka me I go Darbo you”. It was an open roforofo fight between Obasanjo and Atiku on how they wasted Government Parastatals in the name of privatization. It was enough to ban both of them and their descendants from politics for life. Yet, these two men are seeking the good grace of one another and men like them to contest.

Imagine Tinubu and Saraki still on the Nigerian stage? We do not know if Tinubu was crying for Pa Dawodu he sent to his grave regretting or crying for his pocket. One would think we have had enough of Saraki too. The fact that a man of soiled past in Society Generale Bank, Kwara State and as rigged Senate President, for the same goal to loot anything loot-able, is contesting for President. It says more about our community as a whole than each individual.

The standard has been so low, some of us prefer pen robbers to armed robbers. Others prefer kidnappers to pen robbers, as long as they do not kill their victims. Fraudsters are coming out claiming they only swindle the rich and not the poor. Then yahoo-yahoo boys claim they do not hurt Africans, only greedy folks abroad. These are behavior or habits most Africans discouraged by any name but our communities have fallen apart.

When we get to the point of rogues, armed robbers and 419s comparing characters as more desirable than the other, we must wonder which of our ancestors were sold into slavery so that we could enjoy looking at the mirrors given to us in exchange. The fact that we are not literally selling them today in exchange for iPhone, does not mean we are not driving them out into the sea and deserts for slave trader and for human parts.

You may not like what she wrote, actually I have heard worse.

But let us be sincere, I would say worse if I was in her position. She knows Africans well because she is married to one. Sometimes, I feel disgusted myself when I hear Africans go on attacking African Americans. Its like the coal calling kettle black.

Look at all the discrimination African Americans go through from childhood to adult, yet some of them succeed against all odds!

This is why some of them detest Africans. Actually, most of them are jealous of Africans because they think Africans take advantage of all the set aside for education, jobs and businesses.

A very famous one told me he did not mind if the poor ones from Africa take advantage of these set aside for them but got mad because these are children of looters that have enough money to train their children abroad. True!

But there are also ignorant African Americans that would not face their real problem, white man. They will rather take their anger out on one another and hate Africans for no reason. Generally, they are most hostile to people that look like them and respect their enemy - many whites, not all.

Africans and African Americans must get informed and educated to respect one another.

It is a struggle whether to reply someone that takes to name calling instead of reasonable logic against whatever he disagreed with.

Your types are the ones that brought us to our knees. It started with Structural Adjustment, you backed them up. They later apologized for the way it was implemented. Then came devaluation, you backed them up each time promising increased trade and exports for one commodity exporter.

Before you talk about forefathers like someone without home training, ask yourself if these same fathers should have been exchanging gold and diamond for mirrors. The same gold they used to back up their worthless currencies in The Bank Of England or US Treasury.

What is the difference between mirrors then and the colored papers now (there are more one hundred US note outside than inside)?

You are not going to hear from me again. I have no time arguing with your types. May be you need to attend a culture or training class.

BTW, find out why they killed Gadhafi over Dinar, Lumumba over shunning dollar, Mugabe subdued over dollar, Nyerere reduced over Ujama and Saudi Arabia supported over pegging dollar to petrol.

Were your illiterate forefathers in the 19th century using fractional reserve banking? It's laughable to see people still repeating the same sort of nonsense that came out of the mouth of an uneducated ape like Idi Amin back in the 1970s.

Those who have noted that lopping off zeros would change nothing are 100% in the right, and anyone arguing otherwise is speaking from rank ignorance and a room-temperature IQ. Unless the Nigerian government was able to find new sources of funding for all of its obligations, all that would happen is that the same number of zeros would come off both salaries and the prices of goods and services, making no one better off in any meaningful way. A man who earns N50,000 and has N48,000 in monthly expenses is no better or worse off than a man who earns N500 a month yet has expenses of N480.

I like it when my fellow Africans write and talk like indoctrinated economists that only see theory from the Western countries' point of view.

We had the same discussion here about devaluation and dollarization of African currencies. One would think by now young educated Africans would have learnt that this unequal and arbitarary devaluation of currencies have nothing to do with economics.

Strong currencies are backed by gold reserves. Which countries have the biggest gold reserves since centuries past? Do they have the strongest currencies?

There was a lady on one of the talk shows that gave lessons on strong currencies and many articles have been written on the illogical 500 to One exchange rates. Whenever there is political disagreement between western countries and developing economy, their currencies are devalued. Why?

Brothers and sisters, think and stop theorizing for western powers and its arbitarary fiat economic dictation. There is nothing backing United States colored papers used in buying up your gold.

deleting zeroes from national currency can only be effective when it is accompanied by anti-inflation policies and austerity measures in the realm of financial policies, financial regularities of the government as well as attempts to get rid of long-lasting budget deficits and reliance of oil revenues. Otherwise, removing zeroes will soon lose its psychological effect and the zeroes will return with even more strength. In other words, the best solution to combat the rising inflation and to execute the economic stability program is independence of Central Bank from the government and removing the problem-making economic policies. Deleting the zeroes can help to decrease the inflation and execute economic stability programs in two ways.

First, removing zeroes from the national currency can be done at the end of economic stability program so to provide people and private agencies the confidence that the era of high inflation has passed. Removing zeroes in such a condition is totally symbolic because inflation has been controlled due to other factors and thus removing zeroes will not lead to decreasing the inflation on its own.

Second, it will gain the trust of foreign investors and thus attracting more foreign investment, facilitating the process of economic growth for the countries. Finally, in order to increase the value of national currency, economic power needs to be increased as well. This is due to the fact that with the help of powerful economy, the value of national currency can be strengthened and then with controlling the inflation, positive measures would be taken in the long term.

Many of those girls selling stuff like old men for some reasons. By the time their relatives know what is going on, the old man have to marry them.
In this case, I see a determined girl gunning for what she wants, no matter what. Certainly some people are not happy about it but she does not give a damn. She is old enough to decide on a man of any age.

Conspicuous Spending Bravado Killed Humility

The lack of candour, bravado and ostentation displayed by “money miss road” has finally infected many of us, including some genuine wealthy folks, to the point where our youths are willing to do just about anything necessary by all means to get rich. The usual pathway to riches or even becoming just wealthy required arduous labour, perseverance and to be well informed in order to retain most of your gains before you lose it for being dumb and silly.

Sudden wealth, riches without traceable source and a waste of lives hoping against hope in richer pastures have driven our youths to their breaking points and suicides. We used to proudly claim that “African man do not commit suicide”. Time has changed leaving us with many broken promises, broken hearts and broken dreams.

Yet, we are not better off than we were when we did not have these riches, material wealth or comparing ourselves to “saner climes”. We are in a race rushing to our deaths and sacrificing our children and grandchildren to avarice of the present that set us back a hundred years. While material wealth has increased, it has only concentrated in the hands of a selfish few venerated and worshipped for the easy way they got their loot.

Most of the politicians that liberated us from the clench of colonialism like Nkrumah, Zik, Nyerere, Awo or Steve Biko rose from poor Xhosa parents came from very humble background. This is in stack contract to what we have today. The politicians selling us back and mortgaging the future of our youths today are filthy rich. Some of their parents were so rich, they trained a few of these Vagabonds In Power abroad.

There is a generation of young men and ladies that are now influenced by the “get rich quick” mentality. It has gone wild; even those with legitimate source of wealth are not helping matters. In the days of Pa Da Rocha, Ajao, Dantata and Ojukwu wealth was not on display and these men were even called stingy for not squandering their money. In those days, this writer had to challenge his mother to explain how Bank Anthony could be rich if he wore the same suit everyday! Little did we realize he had many khaki suits.

Da Rocha, the richest of them all was even worse. We hardly see him except a few of us that went to his house as kids to “pluck fruit” in his compound which is still a big house by today’s standard. Pa Ojukwu lived modestly not far from one of his businesses and most people would not be able to tell the difference between these men and their workers pushing the pens.

Then, there was a brand new city called New Lagos. It was later surrounded by private houses; before getting to Shell Club and areas around Ogunlana Drive. We used to survey those houses because they were better than those in Government Reservation Areas (GRA) in Ikoyi, Ikeja and major cities around the country. The architecture and the way these houses were built were even better than our old Brazilian quarters.

The admiration during our survey around was that: “No be there him papa born am O!”. Loaded in that statement was the respect, esteem and praise accorded to the hard work that propel these hard working men into such beautiful houses. Most of these men and of course a few ladies too, had visible source of income. Most people could put their wealth relative to their standard of living. There was no magic or “magomago” about it.

When children looked unto those men and say - I want to be like him when I grow up. Someone, not even your parents are ready to ask you if you are ready to work as hard. These were what is known as good characters to emulate that both your parents and your children would be proud of. Indeed, most of these rich men were not professional doctors, lawyers, accountants or teachers (the most noble profession then).

Pa Ajao became the biggest landlord in Lagos. He started as a humble loader, built and employed more loaders and the rest became history until today. Ojukwu was always a transporter with many big buses. The point here is that most of these men did hard labor before fortune smiled on them or better still, before they smelled fortune. This little story is necessary for this generation that only think about jumping to riches.

Unfortunately, it is not the youths alone that are caught in this exaggerated standard of living. Modestly wealthy parents that barely survive as middle class after “Structural Adjustment” can simply not meet the demands coming from their children either in grade schools or colleges. They want what their classmates are getting from nouvelle riche parents. These are looters and Vagabonds In Power that hardly work for money.

The more some of these parents struggle to keep up with these demand, the more their children expect. We heard about cases of youths kidnapping themselves so that their modest parents can find the money anyhow to “bail” them out. Even worse, was the case of one of the youths that arranged with robbers to take his parents as hostages and dispossess them of some cash. When the parents were killed, he cried like a baby. It went worse than he had expected.

This is where we find ourselves these days. All the riches and extravagant toys have not added value to our lives. If anything, it has killed the ambition of our youths to work as hard as those that deserve to be emulated. It has reduced self-pride, killed our perseverance and reduce our country to pitiable state. Indeed, many of us have lost hope and do not think this state of hopelessness is redeemable.

The masses are preoccupied with rogues changing parties. They have been reduced to praise singers fighting for the rights of their oppressors when they have none themselves. They are the first to cry for the rule of law and democracy that is not extended to them. Every discussion always ends with the help of God coming down to change our country while we sit idle. No, many of us would settle for a devil if he could clean up the mess.

Women are more interested in how heavy your pocket is, not what is butting out. That is where Donald Trump has an advantage. His height was a big disappointment to his dick.

Women are wicked. Can you imagine how many women told on him, even Marla?

We are so blinded by our individual ethnic bias for economic gains we lose anyway.

People are ready to trace their ancestors to the new world where humans spread to in more recent times than accept their neighbors as their own brothers and sisters.

Fools claim they have nothing in common and it was the British that joined them at the hips.

Sometimes I just get tired of arguing with ignoramus.

So only this lady has sense?

A sane man would not assert Okafor law on a lady he had no relationship with.

It is up to the lady to put him in his place, not the man. If she did not, she has her reason. No matter what she told you after the fact.

Don't fight over what is not yours.

Stop saying what you are totally unaware of. It is share arrogance to claim what you do not know.

If you are sure of your claim, back it up with authority. You do not have to agree with me. After all reasonable people can agree to disagree. But to claim you are rebuking who, especially when you have displace zero scholarship on the matter of Ogiso and Oba.

Let me go further and tell you that Nupe, Ijaw, Igala share the same Oduduwa with Yoruba. They may call the same Oduduwa Adumu, Adimu. If you know the history of Ogiso and how they got to Benin and rule over the people before Oba overthrew them, you will not be so unaware. Find out about the foremost Nigeria Youth leader of those days, an Ijaw man Ernest Sissei Ikoli who Awolowo supported for leadership.

You need to educate yourself, my friend.

So please pocket your arrogance about rebuke unless you can come up with some authorities. As I said before, when we are out of beer parlor, we go beyond superfluous argument.

Do more research and come up with authorities greater than Ade Ajayi, Peter Ekeh, Ade Obayemi and a host of others. Until then, there is no need to respond to you again.

OlaoChi:
Again you don't know the difference between Ogiso and ọba.

I'm sure the author of that article doesn't even know where the Ogisos were buried

Stop claiming other people.. It's disgusting and tells a bad tale about yorubas.. The Obas are yoruba but leave the Ogiso
Indeed, it is a shame that we have got to the point where we see one another as "claiming other people". This is where we are today. Some years ago, nobody would believe that Bini, Tapa and Yoruba would see one another as other people but that is reality today.

My friend, there is nothing wrong with saying you are not aware.

Dismissing well researched work of Professor Thurston Shaw on radiocarbon dating, Prof. Peter Ekeh and others that put burial of Ogiso and Oba body parts even well before the historical account Of Jacob E. by fiat is frivolous and superficial.

If you can do better show us your work or authorities. This has gone beyond beer parlor discussion. This is why I ignore those that could not articulate their points but use slur and Obscene languages to cover their ignorance.

OlaoChi:
You obviously don't know the difference between Ogiso and Oba

Ọba came from Ifẹ̀. Ogiso has nothing to do with ife..at least nothing that there is evidence for

Nigeria: Heads of Former Benin Monarchs Were Actually Buried in Ile- Ife, Says Prince Isede

PRINCE Michael Isede, a grand son of the last Ogiso of Benin Kingdom and deputy national chairman, Community Development Committee of Oil Producing Communities in Delta State, says heads of former Benin monarchs were buried in Ife.

"The Ooni is very right in saying that Oduduwa came from heaven. Nobody can doubt it because we have it here in Benin too. The Bini people believe that God usually comes down to decide issues. What actually happened is this- the last Ogiso who was my great grand father was an autocratic ruler, he could tell Benin people that nobody should meet any woman for three months or eat for three days and nobody will dare contrevene his order. So the people were not happy with his dictatorship, they held a meeting and called the seven Uzamas to remove him. Evian was the brother to Ogodomigodo, both Oliha' sons.

OlaoChi:
Your link talks about Ogiso body parts buried in Ifè..
That's false. There were no Ogiso buried in Ifè

I read through and honestly the entire article is not written out of research.. But opinions

You guys need to stop deluding yourselves and stop putting the cart before the horse.

Stop comparing Bini to world powers with well documented and obvious evidence. Usurpers are yet to produce even local evidence as local champions. They have been asked over and over again.

A 2003 or so book to revise well documented history by a Yoruba Oba that felt slighted in a meeting with his brothers is not evidence.

Oba Iwo will soon be used too to buttress rogue history of Yoruba. Even Oba of Lagos had to retreat when it was pointed out that his pathernal side was Alagba from Ilesha.

More important, as pointed out, Bini are our brothers and sisters any day. Edo is a different matter because they are a mixture of the original inhabitants of the rain forest ie the Efa and Oru.

Edo begged Bini from Ife to deliver them from their Ogiso rulers, ironically from Ife too.

Nobody, not even the Oba of Bini could or can throw the most prominent and world respected authority on Bini under the bus or blackmail him.

The one and only Jacob U. Egharevba.
