It now sounds like a history lessons that Nigeria emerged from Independence as a potential Regional Power sending funds, skills and teachers to other countries. President of the World Court, World Criminal Court, Soldiers to Congo, Liberia and Freedom Fighters to Southern part of Africa. Refuge for Africans for any reason. Oh well, ancient history for a country that cannot help itself but rely on foreign loans, foreign jobs, foreign travels, escape to Ghana, South Africa, Libya, America, Eastern and Western Europe. The same country that paid salaries of workers in the Caribbean countries. Now anywhere but home for Nigerians that could not wait to get back home. Lord Thomas McCauley was right in 1835 that Africa and India have higher moral values and can only be conquered by exchanging their culture, language and religion for those of English. It would be passed on from fathers and mothers to children and grandchildren to the next generation. Some saw this coming when used clothes, goods, food and garbarge became the norm. Ancient history, eh! |
Pity. Nigeria is so messed up, some of you cannot remember a potential regional power that lived as the giant of Africa. It now sounds like a joke after looters and their children brought the Country to its knees with macabre dance |
Any Nigerian that has stepped out, even up to the mid 80s, compared to now must wonder how much we have fallen. We never said a word about ourselves. Our characters spoke for us. We almost got red carpet wherever we went. Today, despite our degrees, money, expensive cars, high positions and humogous houses, they want us out of their Countries. The immorality and empty vessels started from home and we exported it outside. Those who could check the conspicuous spenders joined them. Parents lost control while others abdicated their responsibilities. How has the Mighty Fallen! |
With all these strikes in Nigeria, we need to embrace alternate traditional Medicine, pharmacists and over the counter drugs to prevent flare-up of Covid-19. |
There are physicians, Community Health Officers, Nurses, Community Health and Grassroots workers that have not seen their families in two or three weeks camped with Covid-19 patients. Others are traveling across the villages and towns trying to prevent another fatalities like Ebola. Yet, the international Community call their efforts luck, accident or myth. This is cold and frustrating. We thank our health workers. |
One of the most serious health issues is the inability to breathe. Your doctor at the nearest clinic or hospital must be contacted. By the time we experience shortness of breath, lack of oxygen in our lungs result in blood clots in the blood vessels leading to other parts of the body. Before we get to the hospital where reduced oxygenation is indicated, Africans have many home remedies. Aboniki balm: a combination of menthol, Camphor and Eucalyptus leaves steamed and inhaled, restores breathing. You can also cover yourself on steamed herbs prepared by grandmothers. The role of Zinc in immune systems and Lemongrass in fever. |
Africa Leads In Low Covid-19 Cases By Early Treatment Not Myth By Farouk Martins Aresa Listen to article African countries are certainly doing more than preventive medicine to ward off the predicted numbers of death from the devastating effects of Covid-19. It is not a fluke, luck or by accident but by herbal and proactive Primary Care. While it is true that Covid-19 could have produced more deaths in Africa than anywhere else, it does not bode well to think those grim predictions came as a result of bad faith. Indeed, most of them wish Africa well hoping the worst scenario would never happen. But plans must be put in place if it happened, not just wishful prayers of God forbid bad thing. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53998374 Africans were brought up with our grandmother's herbs by immersion in boiled drinks. They are our Vitamins C, D, E, B complex, Zinc and B12 that became expensive hot items in high demand at the pharmacy stores all over the world. During the early stages of diseases, the white blood cells we learned about in high schools kill invading bacteria and viruses. The Sore Throat relief by salt water, Cough with honey and ginger, aspirin/codeine available over the counter but not more than 30 mg every 4 hours or ask pharmacists. Rubbing our body down with oils to ward off the breathlessness of cold or flu. Aspirin, Tynelol, tiger or atomic balm are some of the most common over-the-counter drugs used to treat minor pain from headaches, muscle aches, toothaches, and menstrual cramps. Oral rehydration for Diarrhea relief by mixing one liter of water with half a teaspoon of salt and 6 teaspoons of sugar. Africa leads because familiar Early Preventions work against Covid-19. Though Madagascar Covid-19 treatment Artemisa was unproven, it was effective against other symptom: “reduced cough frequency with the maximum dose tested, producing an effect equivalent to that produced by the centrally acting cough suppressant, dihydrocodeine,” https://www.aa.com.tr/en/africa/nigeria-madagascars-herbal-drink-cannot-cure-covid-19/1915948 Our problem in Africa Traditional Medicine is generalized treatment for every ailment because it works for some. It becomes difficult to credit African efforts to contain Covid-19. But to call it a myth because African countries are leading or doing better, lacks appreciation for the efforts of those working hard at prevention and treatment at the earliest stage. Headache, dry cough, sore throat relieved by coconut oil or other symptoms like body ache, fatigue, loss of taste or smell are dealt with immediately by hot lime drink, body rub massage. Africans do not allow them to germinate into serious disease that may turn out to be Covid-19. If there is anything we learned from Ebola, it is a strong Community Action. Call it Contact Tracing, door to door or old fashioned home grassroots workers from health clinics and centers. Prevention of deadly consequences has been avoided again by vigilance against this new Covid-19 virus. The fact that rich advanced countries suffered more than poor countries in Africa only points to complacency when they know what to do for prevention. We must always note that there is no better hospital anywhere outside your house. When every drug and medical procedure fail, our home is the most comfortable place to die. It is sad but the reality of life. Most of our preventable ailments can be avoided within our houses saving us from getting admitted into the best hospital anywhere. If you live in any of the African countries with very modest means, that is most of us, you cannot afford a good hospital in your country not to mention traveling out to hospitals abroad. Even South Africa with the highest cases in Africa, has been able to contain the covid-19 virus better than most advanced countries. It has little to do with their good hospitals but more with our African Traditional Medicine warding off each of the symptoms that are similar to past flu and more important, the well placed fear that Covid-19 could wipe out our population. Some researchers want to credit Herd Immunity because of the crowding in Africa. They forgot the death toll in Brazil and even in Sweden with that type of hypothesis. It boils down to demography selection and how many of that population you are willing to sacrifice to gain herd immunity later. The hypothesis of warm weather fails since other tropical South America countries and crowded countries like India have high cases. Another hypothesis is that Africans have a higher young population that has better immune systems. While it is true that older age succumbed at a higher rate, especially those above 80 years old or in Nursing Homes, only the wealthy in Africa that could afford treatment anywhere have succumbed, leaving the poor in the same category unexposed, free. Even their househelps exposed to travellers (disease) are cautious. This is the beneficial evidence of preventive measures and taking proactive treatment against known symptoms from the past experience. Africans have some treatments for every symptom of Covid-19. Most of us have become hypochondriacs watching out for any symptom and applying home remedy as they manifest their fangs at our well-being. We all know that reliance on exotic treatment many times may result in false hope. They have more to do with later stages of the disease that have been allowed to set in. We must take precautions and not ignore early symptoms. Youths and older adults may think they are not vulnerable. Youths couldn't care less because they think they are invisible and have stronger immune systems. The wealthy adults think they can buy their way out of sickness with exotic treatment. There are Guava leaves, loaded with vitamins C, Iron with antiviral properties for lung disease. Zinc in lozenges, Jute leaves soup, Ewedu, Mulukhiyah, or Molokhia boost the immune system. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/common-cold/expert-answers/zinc-for-colds/faq-20057769 Other symptoms that may or may not be Covid-19 related but with African experience with Ebola, our guards are up. Fever is the immune system working to defend you from the invading virus. The virus hardly survives at higher temperatures. Get aerated, take Tylenol and wrap in wet cloth. Lemongrass is also antipyretic for fever. http://www.bioline.org.br/request?tc08047. Countries that suffered and brought down mortalities are experiencing resurgence now when they defy preventive measures. African countries are still vulnerable as well-meaning community health experts predicted, if we neglect our local prevention in herbal remedies. Old steroid like Dexamethasone may prevent worse stages in the hospital patients during Cytokine Storms, but it may also be late. These are the complications that have been avoided in African countries at the earliest stage. The use of experimental drugs like Favipiravir and Remdesivir, as virus killers, aspirin and heparin as blood thinners, steroids for stabilization and intubation at later stages to force oxygen from the lungs to every part of the body are too expensive in Africa. When the rich countries realized how less effective ventilators were despite discriminative use, they started shipping them to developing countries for sale! Africa’s lead is not mythical. The hard work and resourceful efforts of our medical workers, community health workers and Traditional Medicine must be credited. It is up to African scientists to channel and exemplify their knowledge before their efforts could be recognized and not denied worldwide. If it works in Africa, some of their scientists will explore them here and claim credit as they did for antibiotics, aspirin etc. Though IMHOTEP practiced medicine and taught 2,200 years before Hippocrates was born, they call him Father of Modern Medicine. thenigerianvoice.com |
Nigeria cannot claim to be innocent of Police Brutality nor can African countries. OBJ gave shoot on sight order in Lagos. But to insist on shooting unarmed humans and planting "shinning objects", false stories that everyone now know is false, delaying and hiding videos are pure and simple racism. Never mind that there are Nigerians willing to defend them and even want to be so killed if they get the chance to escape through deserts, sea and 707 planes. When you keep on killing humans and want them to be grateful and peaceful otherwise you will even kill more reminds honest and people of goodwill of Slave Plantations and Slave ships. |
Politics / Re: De-acculturation Of Africa Into 21st Century by banku: 3:48pm On Aug 30 De- Acculturation of africa Into The 21st Century Acculturation of European ways of life into African communities was intentionally planned to suppress our cultures and create longing demands for Foreign culture and tastes. Until Africans rediscover and refine their own culture, we will always fall for others' products inadvertently denying us Economic Independence. The British formed a class of Africans that pushed English taste, opinions, morals, and intellect on those they ruled. Acculturation is hidden in plain sight yet insidious and debilitating to African psyche. It is behind our abnormal behavior of tight affinity to what is outside our reach like foreign money we cannot print. If we look carefully at the reasons for unprecedented corruption, crime waves, desperation to acquire, no matter the price we pay, it boils down to enabling us to afford Foreign goods, services and travels. The desire for each of these requires accumulation of money outside our control in African countries since we cannot exchange our money as legal tender for their goods. This greed for Foreign money to acquire English tastes and culture was implanted a long time ago to promote foreign readymades, manufactured Plastics such as designer products. Indeed, it led to the demise of textile industries in africa and India while the British picked up the monopoly. They mined gold in Gold Coast only to pay taxes and royalties to themselves. Recruited African soldiers to fight for Freedom in World War I and II while colonizing africa. Lord Thomas McCauley was a committed racist, a colonial apologist that passionately believed there was no other ‘culture’ beyond Europe. The Whig Party members like Lord Thomas McCauley in 1835 understood the proud people they were up against because of African Empires higher moral values and cultures. War of suppression could work for a while, but as committed racists, English language and culture had to be sold as the Savior to Africans as modern, civilized and superior. It worked so well that up to the 21th Century, African Youths sought their Salvation not at home but from Foreign cultures and lands. Conservatives play politics of exploitations, even when some claimed they regretted Slave Labor, they still see slavery as a "necessary evil" without which they would not have been the richest Economy. What they are doing today is to rebrand slavery mentally and make it palatable for consumption by African Youths needed for Slave Labor whereever they are or rushing abroad by any means. Africans must also accept faults and responsibility. Believe it or not, there are mental slaves that have been badly treated in africa as outcasts: Eru, Osu, Oru etc. They see Foreign Mission as an escape to Freedom. They come from the poorest villages in africa and so labelled their homes with despicable names. Their escape is nothing short of emancipation. The cities around their villages mesmerize them, not to mention escape into foreign land. Even worse, the products of their colonial education, forced the use of English and culture that is so entrenched, these 21 Century African graduates die for more because their tastes, culture and self confidence have been displaced. The consequences of the suppression of African cultures as postulated on February 2nd,1835 by one Lord McCauley that the only way to capture the minds, hearts and pockets of Africans was to make them forget their Culture, has proven to be true. He claimed he has never seen people of such high moral values and would never be conquered unless they break their spiritual and Cultural heritage, the African backbone with English values. Africans have to be programmed to think that all that is foreign is better and greater than their own. Today, Africans argue against their own culture no matter how refined and bask in Foreign cultures and languages. Unfortunately, the Untouchables are willing to accept conditions much better than those subjected to by their own cultures as Oru, Osu or Eru. Their inhumane treatment at home can be more severe in their villages and cities than those from foreign lands posing as their saviors and "benefactors". Even locals may turn out to be trafficking Travel Agents, Madams in the house of prostitutes or sell them into another form of slavery where they could be used as body parts donors. If that is the case for the unfortunate ones, how do we explain the tracking of highly educated and talented Africans relatively better off, out of their own countries? If reorientation is so simple, why have we not eliminated or reduced acculturation in africa? The fact is, each of these cases have been dwelled on in African countries but have never been able to sustain the reorientations. What is unfortunate in the ways these eyesores were dealt with, came through military means to discourage corruption and foreign demands. Nzeogwu tried it in Nigeria but he was betrayed by comrades. Jerry Rawlings succeeded in Ghana for a few years and relapsed. Buhari/Idiagbon succeeded for a few years and his comrades's Palace coup derailed it in order to accept Structural Adjustment. The beginning of the end of African middle class. Sakara later tried it in Burkina Faso but lost his life. Osagyefo Nkrumah of Ghana remained the most outspoken African Head of State that survived long enough to change foreigners dominated landscape in africa. As much as Lumumba of Congo tried, colonialists got him. Even Mwalimu Nyerere's Ujamaa was sabotaged. The difference here was that Nkrumah implemented Cultural Reorientation for different segments of the Country from Arts, Musicians to other controversial areas. The reason the impact of this has been overlooked over the years is because it was simple, inexpensive, local and seen as 'dictatorship'. Notwithstanding some Ghanaians as Kofi Busia political reservation about Nkrumah. He recognized acculturation and the need to reorient African cultures that had been replaced with Eurocentric cultures to dominate africa. Today, Nkrumah legacy transcends controversies within Ghana and outside. It was an open debate in England up to the 19th Century within the Whig Party on the best way to conquer Africans and Asians. Fortune hunters and Religious Missionaries had their Governments on standby in case of resistance by Africans and they subdued the Resistance of Ashanti, Yoruba, Zulu and others with their Foreign troops soliciting one African Army or more to suppress local resistance. Imagine if this type of Nkrumah Cultural Reorientation was conducted at all levels in every African Country. Obsession with Foreign ideas, goods, services, used and discarded products could have been frowned on. We are suffering from the neglect of simple but highly effective measures that could have sustained our future Economic Independence. This idea that if it is not expensive and labor intensive, it cannot succeed must be reexamined. https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/291315/de-acculturation-of-africa-into-the-21st-century.html |
You may think you are making sense, but your false grandeur of entitlement will lead you to regret. You think those that worked and send themselves to medical schools abroad and come home are stupid? By the time you realize that no matter what you achieve abroad, you are still half-human and no amount of money can redeem you, you will become sober. Melancholy abroad for your type is a disease. Africans & Americans Are Not The Only Ones Stuck On Efficacy Of Chloroquine Aug 11, 2020 | Farouk Martins Aresa Most high school science students are familiar with the functions of red and white blood cells. The white cells help fight off infections and other foreign invaders of our bodies. But sometimes, white cell cells overdo it, killing its own cells before infections spread to other organs. This is the advanced study of Cytokines. Chloroquine is not the super drug against the activities of cytokine storms. Other drugs and steroids cortisone have been administered. At the same time, Cytokine storms can cause organ failure: lung failure, Acute Respiratory Distress syndrome (ARDS), kidney failure and cardiovascular collapse or shock. In cases where Chloroquine is already effective in treating malaria, lupus, juvenile arthritis and others, if influenza flu or corona viruses hit, it may be the early drug of choice. But not in later stages of Preexisting conditions: hypertension, diabetes and obesity where drug interactions may make the situation worse. This may be one of the reasons for the strenuous objection to Chloroquine for the treatment of covid-19. Cytokines are small secreted proteins released by cells with some specific effect on the interactions and communications between cells. Therefore, cell immediate response to foreign bodies is to eliminate or kill themselves as a protective mechanism so the disease doesn’t spread to other cells. Certain kinds of cytokines trigger cell death. When you have many cells doing this at the same time, a lot of tissue can die. In COVID-19, that tissue is mostly in the lung. https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200417/cytokine-storms-may-be-fueling-some-covid-deaths As the tissue breaks down, the walls of the lungs’ tiny air sacs become leaky and filled with fluid, causing pneumonia and starving the blood of oxygen. Some patients recovered after receiving infusions of the rheumatoid arthritis drug Actemra, which blocks the cytokine Interleukin (IL-6) receptor, as one of several that soar in the COVID-19 cytokine storm. When the lung becomes greatly damaged, respiratory distress syndrome follows. Then other organs start to fail. COVID-19 patients die from other problems too, like heart arrhythmias but Preexisting conditions make situations worse. An exaggerated immune response to a new virus, bacteria, or another substance that is foreign to the body is, most of the times the cause. The symptoms of a cytokine storm are high fever, swelling and redness, extreme fatigue and nausea. At the same time, there can be organ failure like lung failure, Acute Respiratory Disease Syndrome, kidney failure, cardiovascular collapse or shock. Before anti cytokine storms, studies indicated it may be possible to head off the storm altogether by blocking some of the chemicals that can trigger its release, which are called catecholamines. Catecholamines help the body respond to stress or fright and prepare the body for "fight-or-flight" reactions. The adrenal glands make large amounts of catecholamines as a reaction to stress. The main catecholamines are epinephrine (adrenaline), norepinephrine (noradrenaline), and dopamine. Aldosterone affects the body's ability to regulate blood pressure. It sends the signal to organs, like the kidney and colon, that can increase the amount of sodium the body sends into the bloodstream or the amount of potassium released in the urine. While some medical researchers label it a genetic predisposition, others have blamed the hostile environment against Africans in Diaspora as the cause of higher stress than others. But such blame does not explain the susceptibility to the same fatal diseases in Africa. Anyway, most scientists would first prefer good nutrition before treatment. Luckily, most African foods are "organic food" closer to the farms. But the acquired exotic tastes of processed foods from foreign countries makes it worse. Ironically, "organic foods" are expensive overseas. Patients who were taking medications that block the release of catecholamines -- as some kinds of blood pressure drugs do, early before their diagnosis, were about 20% less likely to need to be placed on a ventilator after their diagnosis, compared to others, an effect that was statistically significant. Therefore, finding the effective prophylactic or therapeutic agents would help to control a pandemic of avian influenza (in A H5N1) viruses. Previous reports have demonstrated that the high mortality in humans infected with avian influenza A H5N1 is partly due to acute lung injury or the result of severe condition: Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). There are few treatment choices for ARDS, aside from mechanical supporting equipment and experimental treatments. The use of cortisones is controversial. Even histamine inhibits the release of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF), in a dose-dependent manner by stimulating the synthesis and release of IL-10. Chloroquine acts to raise the lysosomal pH, leading to the inhibition of both the fusion of autophagosomes with lysosomes and lysosomal protein degradation. However, most government-sponsored clinical trials have shown insufficient prophylactic effects against influenza infection, which is consistent with other studies. To test this, they have focused efforts on chloroquine (CQ), as CQ is the only oral clinical drug that is known to be an autophagy inhibitor7. Currently, CQ and its hydroxyl form, HCQ, are used as anti-inflammatory agents for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus and amoebic hepatitis. If Chloroquine could be effective for some people in the earliest stages of Covid-19, what about those with Preexisting conditions already in the later stages? Fatal diseases or flu like Covid-19 take more African Lives in Europe and America with high casualties in Africa as seen in Ebola. Why it took so long for Blacks to realize they are more susceptible to Covid-19 is not surprising. Some Blacks even though they were immune. DE-ESCALATION OF VIOLENCE AGAINST AFRICANS AT HOME & ABROAD The pressing problem most African families are dealing with at home and abroad is how to ameliorate the hidden and open attacks against them by constituted authorities. Families are pondering and mulling on how to de-escalate the confrontations and keep young Africans safe from deadly assaults. While Natural Disaster has taken the disproportional death toll on the elders, Africans and minorities; man inhumanity to man has also converged and affected Africans most, no matter where they are. Some Chinese scapegoated and projected blame on African students for Covid-19 that originated in Wuhan. We also witnessed a string of Police ritual massacres in the United States: a lady sleeping at home while Black to George Floyd like Eric Garner snuffed out of breath and life for the world to see. De-escalation tactics start from within by showing the qualities of cultured people demanding respect. You get what you negotiate, not what you deserve. Look, everyone acts in his best interest and power is not given up out of the goodness of their hearts but when it becomes too risky and expensive to keep. This was how old system of slavery was abolished. So watch out, it is a continuous struggle. Do not be fooled by the replacement of slavery with cheap disposable labor. What brings all these victimization of Africans home to the Continent is the inability of individual African countries to influence or weld power affirmatively as many other countries would. It is very difficult for Motherland to watch her own African children being sacrificed at the altar of racist ideology, political expediency and promotion or glorification of ranks in open or secret societies because embedded perpetrators happen to be members of constituted authorities. Those uninformed Africans who think they are supporting conservative or liberal ideology are used as body bags to avoid responsibilities for their actions. This is not new. African chiefs sold their own people as slaves abroad in exchange for mirrors. The slave owners or Massa selected House Africans to supervise their fellow slaves and recently, Arab slave owners appointed other Africans crossing the Desert to whip desperadoes fleeing from African countries into submission and slave camps, used for repulsive acts including body parts removal. Even Extremist parties have fronted recent African immigrants. So it is not surprising that those self-styled conservatives or liberals are covering the back of their users. As most Africans empathize with their brothers and sisters in Diaspora, or regret the sins of their ancestors for selling them out, we have some within us that are proud conservatives, supporting oppressors that want their "good old days" back. Let us be clear, these traitors have never seen anything good about themselves or their Continent and would sell their Countries for imported glittering plastics, used discarded goods and environmental garbage. Fake leaders claim to be partners of foreign investors or businessmen opening Free Trade zones and gulping our Foreign Reserves for money laundering abroad. While it is true that some of these African Parasites are created out of greed and self-hate, we have ethnic animosity involved. By the time some swear to spare a snake and kill a fellow citizen or kill your own brothers and sisters as Kaferi or Unbelievers, you realize African mentality has gone insane. Our suffering abroad and lack of respect for our individual citizens at home is so intertwined, we can not expect others to respect us when we sell one another cheap at home out of spite. Let us face it, lives are cheap in Africa if we are willing to risk it all in the hands of foreigners than stand our ground at home to fight our oppressors. There is no doubt that there are opportunists who leave their homes where they are too depraved to sow good deeds but go out for soft landing to reap the hard work and magnanimous acts and accommodation of others. The projections of their laziness on victims of host countries are obvious. They will never be respected. Only scornfully treated accordingly as cheap disposable labors. Since African slaves and their descendants were told how lucky they were to be brought abroad in chains rather than remained in the dark Continent among savages. Fast forward to 2020, some Africans claim they live in the zoo and gleefully echo the "shithole countries" of others. How can you be respected anywhere when you sell yourselves cheap and handed them the excuse to dictate your political economy at home? Discussions with our children are difficult if History of African Suffrage at home and abroad are not taught in schools to avoid the mistakes of the past. The pride of being an African is being chipped away without many in the new generation realizing it. It might be subtle as skin bleaching or hairstyle but the history of the damage must be seen in an old study of little black children's preference of white dolls to black dolls. 60 years after Independence, most African countries have not found their bearings, not because they cannot but they choose not to, foolishly building castles in the air far away in foreign countries Covid-19 banned them from visiting. How many countries in other continents pander, invite, welcome and incentivize themselves as "bushmeat" for economic gain? We can no longer threaten our own very existence with so much hate, Afrophobia, self-destruction and expect others to respect us or our younger generation to succeed. Apart from the psychological bearing on self-esteem, the socio-economic devastation is so conspicuous, other continents smell a wounded Continent as prey and go for a kill. Only those that are either ill-informed or naive would think they are better off than other Africans. This stigma must be broken and must be corrected right now! We must start immediate remedial actions, instead of future rosy projections. A day wasted are lives lost and opportunities missed. It is about time our leaders were challenged to stop seeking salvation from abroad or Heaven when God only helps those who help themselves. De-escalation starts from within our Home. |
Our prayers are with African Americans. They suffer disproportionally as Covid-19 deaths grow among them. On top of that are violent demonstration for their human rights in many American cities. Why would some Africans blame shaming these victims of oppression? |
Muna4real:You know deep inside you who is a liar. Anyway, one Igbo brother said if you want Yoruba to love you, shout Separation or Biafra. Is that still true? If you had said this in early sixties in Lagos, there were people that would be willing to believe you but if you do not know that you just gave a fat lie with the Op: who is fooling who? I have never been to the East? May be since you were born. I always hear you guys brag about Altine the Hausa community leader promoted to mayor posthumously. That is after his household was burnt. But if you really believe what you wrote, it might be too late. No more Akara for you in Yoruba land if that is your only rule of engagement. I even think the relationship between Yoruba men and Igbo ladies will wither. It took a long time to get here because you were under the spell and control of Igbo men. Like Yoruba ladies that told Yoruba men to pocket their control, Igbo ladies have come a long way baby. |
IJOBA2: |
For years into my adulthood, I believed in amicable relationship between Igbo and Yoruba in spite of warnings from the days of Akintola. But realized too late the the respect and love Yoruba had for Igbo was never reciprocal. It was based on what Igbo got in Yoruba land: accommodation and tolerance never accorded in Igbo land. Indeed Yoruba accommodation and tolerance were turned into dirty words. Some even claimed they would vomit if they hear those words again. They turned accommodation and tolerance into rights they failed to give anyone, not even to their neighboring Igbo. They then solidified the rights with fake statistics, ridiculous exaggerations and chest beating. They got so carried away they turned to "developers" not only in Nigeria but outside. So they claimed Tribalism started when they could not become Western Nigeria Premier! Imagine? With or without lipstick, a zoo inhabitant is still a monkey. |
They later arrested his white crew too but the Governor apologized and promised their release. You know Nigeria was one of the countries with the most vigorous Press. It is hard to kill it. We can return this Country in pieces to Regions or not to it's Potential as expected in the 60s. With or without distractors. Blame those that forced one nijera for ceremonial pittance and Unitary government. E nor go better for dem in their graves. |
Ondo has cassava to ethanol is a foolish project and it was so indicated then. Cassava is food. Turn it to bread, chips, fufu, starchy products for pharmaceutical use instead of importing same. But first Nigerians need brain transplant to change their tastes Hope this project is an improvement. Malcolm123: |
Nigerians are indeed lucky that last las they have a home they can go back to in Africa. But how would you feel if people who claim they are from zoo want to demonstrate in support of someone Native African Americans loathe as a leader. Be grateful you have a home you can fight for no matter how baren, not for a country your father did not fight for. Some Nigerians, certainly not most, need brain reorientation. |
