You still don't get it. Women don't care about the physical appearance of a man as long as he can provide comfort. On the other hand, physical appearance is very important to a man. |

Still looking at that hand though. Amazing You should be a comedian. Nigerians are immune to gore and violence. Romance › Re: Should A Lady Spend On A Guy She's Dating?. by banmee(m): 11:34pm On Jul 27, 2016 |
Benita27: Never develop the habit of spending on a guy you're dating, there's no harm in helping them when they're in need, What real men want is a faithful lady, not one that spends on them.
To some spending on them reduces their self worth, even in marriages when a lady is the bread winner of the family, the men are not so happy, so why should your boyfriend be happy when you're the one doing virtually everything for him?, when such a relationship crashes, he has nothing to lose but you.
Imagine if all you do is:pay his school fees, pay rents, cook for him with your money whenever you visit, change his wardrobe, when there's no guarantee he will even marry you, neither are you his sugar mummy, is he handicap?. He will take all these and still cheat on you, and dump you when the need arise.
We ladies are naturally emotional, while the male counterparts are naturally logical, when he dumps you suicide is inevitable, he's likely to move on sooner that you.
He asked you out, you didn't ask him, why should you two go on a date, and you're the one buying everything, while he's collecting?.
Spending on a guy is not healthy, even your parents will frown at it.
Expecting the ladies you date to spend on you is like patronising a prostitute and asking her to pay you.
We're not in India where women marry men. And you want to be treated equally right? Newsflash, equality entails equal responsibility. If you don't want to be treated like a slave, you might want to change that mentality. |

Abeg stop pretending jare First of all, you are not law enforcement to determine that he actually did anything. Secondly, if it is true, in a normal society i decide to kill him because he stole my child, i will live in a cell for the rest of my life. I don't think i would want to risk two tragedies. Because Nigeria is filled with animals, you have no choice but to act and think like an animal. So i understand your position. It's sad though. |

lilmax: me commit murder? Impossible
But when your child is stolen from you, killed or your girl child raped, oga make sure you don't do anything rash, call the police on him
Nonsense That's the problem right there. Because you live in a lawless country, you are willing to do murder. I don't know if you know this but when you support jungle justice, you are supporting murder. Which means you can do it. Unless you can convince me that taking someone's life illegally is not murder. Where i live, where normal people live, if a child is stolen, or my girlfriend is raped, i call the police and they take care of it. If i commit murder, i spend life in jail. I get it, you are a product of a messed up society. I feel for you but you are not alone as evidenced from the video. |

Tamakay: For a critic to be constructive in his/her criticism, first he/she must try as much as possible to detach emotion and sentiment from the subject matter. On that note, I wish to say u are emotional hence u starts to go personal by praying that I should be attacked by armed robbers. I reject ur prayer not for fear of ur prayer coming to fruition in my life because I don't even believe them to be working and if they actually works, the likes of OBJ wouldn't have been alive. Let me also remind u something about the story. The law enforcement agency which is the police did everything and concludes that they cannot trace or fathomed any iota of truth or evidence that d girl stole the money and that's why they let her go. Pls note here I'm not trying to exonerate or legalise criminality. I don't really know if u are the victim but the extent of which the Op has taken the matter, she might become the hunter being the hunted. Pls always keep ur emotions in check so u don't act impulsively to issues and regret later for something u are suppose to win. Pls apologize to me for that ur emotional prayer u made for me and let me see u are matured and educated enough to handle technical issues both in verbal and written speech.( badmouthing not intended because it's not my style) Lol....Check out the guy talking about being logical. Is it logical to support a notion where witchcraft and the likes can be used as evidence in this day and age? Did you even read the Op's post at all? That the police cannot do their jobs is one thing, but to say; " I presume the girl story to be true because a similar thing had happen to my niece in 2008. She was charmed or hypnotized by these guys. She came back home hurriedly that day packed all her mum jewelries and money to them". That quote was from you by the way. Tamakay: I presume the girl story to be true because a similar thing had happen to my niece in 2008. She was charmed or hypnotised by these guys. She came back home hurriedly that day packed all her mum jewelries and money to them. After collecting everything, they blindfolded her and left her in the bush near Agbarho in Delta State. She only regain her self from that trance after they had all abandoned her. She came out from the forest around 6:30pm and before then we were already planning to report to the police of a missing girl before a bike man brought her home. I just hope the Op is reading my experience and allow the girl be because if she actually stole that money I don't think she would've returned to the house. I pray you get robbed someday by a jazzed criminal. Lets's see how you'll react. I wonder why we have courts anyway since every crime can be attributed to being "jazzed". |

klassic: Always hear the other side of the story before passing judgement. And also remember to use that thing called brain not heart or anus. If you think I don't have a point ask a lawyer friend. Even those standing trial in court are not called thieves or armed robbers mind you. They are called accused or defendants . Ever wondered why? Cos they are still presumed innocent until a competent court finds em guilty. All these media trial most stop. That's my own. Are you high? |

abubaka101: I do understand it very well. I hope you are actually residing in America, because if not you'll be speaking based on fairy tales. I actually have people who work abroad, a few in the US, and not all of them find it easy. Although there are no sweatshops per se in there, some of the people they work with/for sometimes treat them somewhat unfairly. And they can't easily quit their jobs just like that, they say the job market presently is too competitive. So they just wait it out until they get something better. That's why when I saw your comment I just thought of the most apt idea to sure you how wrong you are. America is not perfect, and the system can only try its best to quell terrible working conditions, but things like anger management are not things that can't easily be regulated. Why do you think anger management classes exist? It's not just for yoga practice you know.
And once again do not that am not arguing about labour conditions in Nigeria and the US. Am only trying to let you understand that anger itself and in the business world is not easy to handle, and this is irrespective of whether it is the US or Nigeria. And to prove my point, Google to see whether anger in American working environment does not exist. I think i understand now. I get it now. You are confused as to what we are talking about. This is a quote from the OP " Don’t blame yourself: When your boss suddenly shouts at you or gets angry easily with whatever task you have done, don’t assume that he/she is mad at you. Your boss is human, just like you and definitely have his/her shortcomings. He might be having some personal issues at home, which is not being managed properly, thereby letting the issue impact his/her mood and performance in the office. Don’t let it work you up, be positive and remain calm. For which i said that shiit can only happen in an abnormal country because where i reside, you dare not create a hostile work environment, less you be sued or lose your job. The difference here is, in Nigeria, it is acceptable. In normal places it is not because of it's repercurssions. In Nigeria there are none. Now i don't know what the people you know are telling you but, as far as i am concerned, either they are there illegally or they surrouund themselves with illegal immigrants. An illegal immigrant has no rights, so they will take anything given to them. And the excuse of they are unable to change jobs is a Nigerian excuse. Please come and be hostile here and see if your bank account would dwindle. |

cococandy: Are the posters on this thread serious? So all a person needs to go free after stealing is to claim influence of jazz? What a bunch of retardos.
So jazz is recognized by the Nigerian constitution? And you guys wonder why you're behind the rest of the world. Believing in useless non existent things.
Is it the police's duty to declare her innocent? If I were the madam I'll take the case up in court. Let me see the foolish magistrate that will acquit her after she pleads guilty based on the influence of jazz. Archaic people.
Banmee dem don come again. And I didn't know one could rob and go free based in jazz influence. I would have been rich by now. My in law, check out this response below; joborskill: If i were a member of the girl's family i will sue u for libel. Haba this is too extreme. This case has been reviewed by the police and the accused discharged because they couldn't ascertain if she stole under the influence of charms or not. Out of your curiosity u requested to meet her which she declined due to her personal reasons. From what you made us understand, the money belongs to your husband and since he is not pushing it why not let go? If it were armed robbers that came to your house you will willingly handover the cash and still go for Thanksgiving in church for sparing your life. You have done an irreparable damage to this girl's personality and this could haunt her forever. Going to publish her details all over the internet is overboard. The internet never forgets. You are more wicked than the said girl. Women are truly their own enemies Do you know what scares me most about the Nigerian mindset? That there are tens of millions of people who think like this. And here's the worst part, based of probability, someone like him will probably have political ambitions in the future and depending on how corrupt he is, will probably be elected into some sort of office. I beg, please tell me, what kind of leadership/governance do you think he would be able to give? And he had more than 80 likes for that rubbish post. 80 people actually agreed with him. Smh. The funny thing is, Nigerians are confused as to why the country is so messed up. They love to blame everyone for their woes but don't realize that the main problem is their mentality. I used to contribute on NL to try to effect a change. Now i just do it to make fun of them. There is no way one can change people with a mentality this phucked up. |

abubaka101: The laws exist, they've just not being enforced well enough And I think you're missing the point of the article/my argument. I am not saying our labour laws are sophisticated or strong, instead what am trying to let you know is that bosses who get angry easily, or are bad at people skills are not solely found in places like Nigeria. They are everywhere and labour laws can't easily restrict their anger levels no matter the country. People have temperaments, never forget that. You talk as if anger is devoid of any actions. When you get angry, you tend to shout, curse, and use offensive language etc. What i am trying to make you understand is, in America, you can't do those things as an employer else you'd be sued for having a hostile work environment. The idea is, there are ways to solve problems without being offensive. And, if you have to yell, curse or make the work place uncomfortable, then you are the problem and a sweet target for litigation. I had to learn it real quick. You don't understand it because you are not used to it and anything goes in Nigeria. |
Career › Re: How To Deal With A Nagging Or Angry Boss by banmee(m): 1:22pm On Jul 26, 2016 |
abubaka101: I guess you're living the "American dream", but thr truth is that reality is harsher by far. And just cause the labour laws in the US are stronger that doesn't mean that horrible bosses don't exist! And it's much worse when they actually know you can't easily get a job elsewhere. And that last part is true for every country in this world. Indians don't treat their workers at home much better than they treat their Nigerian workers. And there are plenty of cases where Chinese bosses have violently attacked their workers, but Nigerian and even in China. Labour abuses and unfair treatment exist everywhere, so don't assume we in Nigeria are naturally unfortunate. I don't think you understand. I started my argument based on what happens in normal societies. Where human rights are observed. Using china and india as examples does not count. Your reality exists because in Nigeria an employer can do whatever and get away with it. In normal societies, you can't. Why? because of the law. |
