Editor1: Controversy surrounding the death of a minor, identified as Anwulika Nathan (an 11year old girl) from Owo-Ahia Afor in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State in the house of her guardian has been reportedly causing ripples in the community.
Awnulika, the last female child of Mr. Chinenye Nathan, a civil servant in the Abia State civil service was said to be living with one of the Commissioners in the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commissions (ASOPADEC) family as their house help.
It was gathered that the commissioner after raping the girl to coma rushed her to New Era Hospital, along Niger road and some distance from Amuzukwu Primary and Secondary Schools were she later died.
Sources who confirmed that the people of Owo-Ahia Afor were pained over the girl’s death said that they were going to stop at nothing in deploying every measure to see that they get to the root of the matter.
Another source from the community who pleaded anonymity alleged that their daughter was raped to death by the ASOPADEC commissioner.
The source who confirmed that the police were already investigating the matter also accused the police of trying to sweep the matter under the carpet owing the “powerful” nature of the commissioner in the state.
According to the source “Sometimes last week, we got a phone that Anurika Nathan, 11year old from Owu Ahia Afor, who is living with one of the ASOPADEC Commissioners was raped to death.
“When we got to Umuahia, they were at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia. On reaching there, we saw her corpse in an ambulance covered with a T-Shirt with the inscription. One side of her body was open and we saw a lot of bruises on her knees, blood was coming out from her mouth and even from her private part.
“After we waited for about an hour at the hospital, the young man (Commissioner) arrived with his official car and with the father of the deceased. They came in with a letter from New Era hospital, Umuahia stating the doctor’s report.
“After a while, the Commissioner attempted to leave, but the woman IPO refused him going, insisting he must follow her to the police station (CPS, Umuahia). The man insisted he was going nowhere as he brandished an identity card showing the police woman that he is a Hon. Commissioner but the police woman stood her ground that he must go to the police station with her.
“It was at that point that so many people gathered and with the assistance of the crowd, he was taken to the police station by keke after his driver refused to drive the car further.
“Before they left for the police station, there was a melo-drama at the hospital premises when the said Commissioner could not pay the ambulance driver for the services he rendered, but for the driver’s threat to dump the girl’s corpse into his own official car he (commissioner) was forced to pay the ambulance man”.
Continuing, the source added, “Before this time, the wife of the commissioner who we understand works in the same office with the father of the Anwulika was crying and when asked why she was crying, she said that prior to that incident, the girl went to school and came back from school with bruises and before they could take her to the hospital, she died in the process, adding that “from the hospital, we went to the police station and they tried to bail him (commissioner) out that day, but it was not possible. Unfortunately, the girl was somehow related to prominent man in Abia government and I believe if not for this, from the way things had been going, the man could have been off the hook.
“But of the man’s (commissioner) position in government, we (relations and families of the victim) are afraid that even the police would compromise dropping the matter.
“We were able to come to the conclusion that the commissioner raped our sister to death because from the autopsy conducted, the cause of death was established to be rape.
“Anwulika was living with the commissioner, she was his housemaid and he took her in January this year. It is not clear whether the girl died in the man’s house or at the hospital, but all we know is that the man took her to New Era hospital in his car but later brought her down to FMC in an ambulance and at FMC medics there tried to ascertain the cause of the death of the girl, considering the bruises she had her knees and blood that was gushing from her mouth and private part.
“What we are calling for is for justice to prevail. The autopsy had been done at FMC which was confirmed at the CPS that the girl died as a result of rape.”

If u go follow this Oyinbo wey to cook am eh, e go sweet u wella
- Boil meat for one pot, add maggie cubes, thyme, paprika, small mixed seasoning, one chopped small onion for taste (you for use any meat wey u like sha, but me I dey use lamb & beef or chicken)
- As u don dey boil meat, use the time to take one tin plumb tomatoes, one chopped onion & pepper (na the small red pepper oo - two I dey use, u fit put any amount wey sweet u - if na hot u like am add three/four) put all inside ur food processor - blend am well
- The blended mixture u go now put for one small pot, no oil oo! Put am for high heat, make e cook well well... u go leave am for fire till the time e don reduce, don thick
- As the mixture don dey boil, take ur melon seeds wey u wan use (1 cup) and blend am for food processor. U for use small water to blend ooo, so e go make a smooth paste, put am for one bowl, so u go add am to ur soup later
- Check ur meat na, if e don soft (to the way u like am) take am off fire, leave am for the side, with the water... u go use small stock from this water to add to ur soup later. If e neva cook finish, reduce the heat small, keep checking until e don cook finish
- Collect another pot, add small palm oil, make sure e don cover the bottom of the pan, roughly 1cm high. Put am for fire
- The blended mixture wey dey another pot (tomatos, onion, pepper), check am - if e don reduce finish, turn off the heat/burner
- Check ur palm oil na, if e don hot well well, start to dey smoke - ehen, e don ready b that. Add the blended mixture of tomatoes, onion & pepper - careful ooo - e go spit die
- By this time I know say ur meat don cook, if u neva remove am from fire already, do so now
- Take this time as u don fry ur mixture to wash the pots wey u don use finish ooo - u not wan finish cook with plenty washing to do na
- Stir this ur frying mixture small ooo, make sure e nor go burn
- As u don leave am to fry, cut Spinach into strips (the fresh one na the best one ooo) u for use scissors - e easy sha
- Check ur mixture again ooo - if e don begin to dry small, add tiny stock from ur meat water, na dash u go dash am
- Use ur nose to smell the frying mixture na.... if e don smell like e pepper don cook small, e don ready for the melon seeds b that.... Use one small spoon drop the grounded melon seeds into the pot, ontop the tomatoes, onion and pepper... keep dropping spoonfuls around ontop, spread am well covering everywhere
- Let am fry small ontop the mixture for a few mins on high heat... after a few mins don pass, turn am well. These melon seeds dey stick, burn, well well, so now u wan turn am from the bottom regularly
- As ur soup don thick small, add more stock water from ur meat - people like their Egusi with different thickness's, so find the one wey u like
- Add two maggie cubes again to this ur soup
- After roughly ten mins, e don cook b that add the meat to the Egusi and keep turning for another ten mins, this one go allow the flavours to enter ur meat small
- Wen the ten mins don go, add the cut Spinach leaves and stir... after five more mins e don finish finally
To serve, u for use Gari or Pounded Yam to eat am, some people even take Semo chop - na ur choice b that

The cat don dey for one house like that, wey people nor sabi look after animals, e b like say the person head nor well at all. They don throw am for winder from 12floors high, reach ground. Omo God dey ooo - lucky say this cat nor dey break back!
Anyway sha, I don home am for one night initially - omo na almost two years don pass since!!
I don name am Tippy, na appropriately so, when u don dey think wetin happen to am. Since the time wey I don own am, omo nor b small mata.... she get one luxury fluffy bed, a personalised cushion cover, pink litter tray, cute food bowls and mat, a clawing board, a clawing tower with hiding space, toys don full the house self!!
She don tey since with these her toys ooo - I look am like... imagine na u be cat for 9ja oo - u nor go sabi anything sha. She dey lounge about anyhow, still as she don dey get all those things, she still come sleep for another place, like MY sofa!! She get big eye oo, na she dabaru!
Na house cat she be, e b like say if I free am for outside, another catgo scatter am anyhow, she go return house look like she don chop wowo lick plate!!

To share any PDF or any of the above file on whatsapp, follow the below steps/procedure thoroughly and make use of the comment box if you have any difficulties.
If you have dropbox installed on your smartphone, fire it up and sign in to your account. If you do not have it installed already,install it from your app store and create an account with dropbox. Now upload the file you wish to share on whatsapp to dropbox. After successfully uploading that file, tap on the file and hold until some options pop up. From the pop up options, tap on share and look for whatsapp. Tap on whatsapp and select the person you want to share the file with. A link will be created and send to your friend and he/she will be able to download the file.
