She did! Frankrobbn1: I regret to hear that your friend's study visa application was refused. In order to proffer solution to your friend's visa refusal, I'll like to know if s/he included documents such as pay stubs, tax documents, personal/salary bank statement and/or landed property documents in the applicant's name. Once you're able to provide answers to this, then I can advice you on the next steps.
It will end in praise |

Hello everyone, please a friend's application was refused on this reason • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
What do you advise she should do. Is a judicial review in view? If yes, what is the process like?
Thank you! |

Good people of Nairaland City, please I need answers on this: Baphil: Hello everyone and good morning. Please a few quick questions to confirm an important note;
1. Is it possible to do an undergraduate study permit application for a 19 year old and a work visa for a parent accompanying her?
2. Must the parent have a job offer before she can apply for her visa?
3. All things being equal, what are the chances of being successful in these applications?
Thank you so much as I await your suggestions and contributions to the foregoing. |

I am just reading this!!! Wow!!!! Congratulations again and again!!! I wish I had read it earlier; it would have added to my birthday presents on the 24th. I still take it as one. Wishing you all the very best Sis. LadyBlaq: You all are the real MVPs. Lekiboe, Frank, Anon, Uzomachukwu, Baphil, Lianna, Shuppy, my darling Sis Bisola, infact, all of you, God will continue to bless you all. Special shout out to Oga Seun for creating this impactful forum, i am happy to have known this great family...
So, Australia was my first choice because i couldn't dare try Canada, I had heard of their strict study visa assessments. I spent a lot of money with different agents as most schools in Australia would never deal directly with students. I finally settled with a school in NSW and boom, Corona happened and their borders have been closed since then.
I had no choice but to try the almighty Canada and trust me, my anxiety and preconceived fear of their stringent rules got a better part of me because, my application was messssssyyyyyyyyy!!!!
1) After submitting my app, i read on here that i shouldn't have done a money gift deed, especially when the gift-er isn't related to me, moreover, some folks said they haven't seen any study visa getting approved with a money gift deed by a gift-er who isn't part of the family. Guess what! they were right because my application would be the first they'd see. I am self sponsored applicant and the bulk of my fund was gifted by my late father's friend. Even though we don't share the same blood and name, we had something more than that, we had the commitment and bond. So i had him do a money gift deed(10m), which he paid into my account in bulk, sometime in February. I dug up old pictures of himself and late father, old pictures of himself and myself when i was younger, letter he wrote to me in place of popsy during my graduation in 2013, financial statement histories between myself, momsy and him, from different banks and as old as 2014. I also had him write a support letter and explain why he had to make such commitments, using his Company's letter headed paper.
2) In the bid to achieve the much needed mb capacity, i had shredded lots of documents off my application and eventually ended up tampering with my transcript. I reported myself here on Nairaland, hoping to get some hope or outright condemnation. Lol, i was told to resend the transcript and beg them not to misunderstand my intention, and then hope for the best outcome. Uzomachukwu, on the contrary, opined to be concise and not beg for their mercy as though i have done something "hideous". Eventually, she helped my with a well structured mail and i sent it to IRCC via webform. Baphil also reached out and re-compressed my files, she produced a much clearer file even with the additional missing pages. I don't know how she did it but i was wowed and i sent my files afresh via email.
3) Not a single ghost update till this morning. From what i read here, i guess i didn't really get any ghost update since my status remained "submitted", until this morning when i saw "your status updated". At a point i was praying for any kind of update, lollllllll.
One month and few days after my application, i requested for my GCM notes on 24th May, it came in yesterday, 23rd June. I hoped to tackle any negative feedback via webform but i was disappointed as i couldn't understand anything there and it seemed empty. Nairalanders said otherwise and i should brace myself for a positive feedback, Anon also assured me that a positive decision was coming soon since it was noted at the tail end of the notes, IRCC called my school to re-affirm the validity of my LOA. Even with all these, i remained skeptical, a little pessimistic and a little hopeful
This morning, as i logged in as per my usual ritual, I saw correspondence letter and PPR request sitting pretty on my page long before a mail dropped. My application was tacky at best, i couldn't pray to save myself, i guess the prayers and good wishes of everyone and my family&friends made a way for me to be found worthy. I pray for this uncommon Grace for all PPR hopefuls, together we will all celebrate.
Application and confirmation was done on 17th April, with complete NSE docs (RLWS-7,7.5,7,7.5) Biometrics Request on 18th April IELTS Request letter, i resubmitted my IELTS Did my upfront medicals together with my biometrics on 29th and 28th of April. Medicals updated to pass on 28th of may after sending mails to Lagos First Gcmnotes requested on 24th May, it arrived on 23rd June Second Gcmnotes requested on 21st June... Correspondence L and PPR request on 24th June. |

I do not think It is a requirement. Please where was it stated as a requirement? I am open to learn. I have done quite a number of Canadian study permit applications and I did not include it in any and ALL the applications out were approved. So how is it a requirement and they approved without it? I am actually not saying you should not include it if you want to but I insist it isn't a requirement until you show me where it is stated as so and I will learn. That's why we are here. All the best! Gentledaf: It's not compulsory to include police clearance certificate in your application but it is a requirement. We have to be wise my people |

Without discouraging you from getting a police clearance, I wish to let you know that a police clearance report is not compulsory for a study permit. It's presence will not force them to grant your permit and it's absence will not discourage them from granting you one. I have never attached a police report in all the applications I have done and the ones out have all been granted by God's grace. If you have the time and money, you can go ahead but if not, don't bother; utilize that time and money please. I actually still submitted my friend's own after the expiry date and they updated it. Another different thing I did was to send a mail to the two London email addresses because I noticed from her GCMS notes that London office was the secondary office while the Nairobi office was the primary. So since I had sent a series of webforms and emails to Nairobi that didn't make much difference, I sent the mails London and they responded and told me to raise a webform to them to enable them effectively alert the office in charge and I did so about a week ago and her PPR came out yesterday. Keren12: Please gurus in the house. I applied feb 10 2020. Got NSE request after 5 days of submission. But didn't submit untill the date expired.
Reason 1. That my salary account i used was just 9 month old as at that time and they are requesting for 12 months.
Reason 2. No ielts result to submit
But has it stands the only thing that has change from my application status is my upfront medical that have been passed and my additional documents says"not applicable "
The rest still remain "we are processing your application "
What are your advice on this plesse, can i still submit NSE request since the date given to me has expire or i should just chill or better still apply for gcms note.
I will need reply please. |

Sorry everybody. This was wrongly posted here. It is for Canadian visa application forum please Baphil: PPR HERE!!!
Good morning everyone. I have come to give thanks to God again!!!!! He deserves all the praise.
I helped my friend apply for a January admission on the 5th of October 2020 and her BVL and PPR just came in this morning at 10:41am and 10 43am. I cannot begin to say the kind of emotions this application has raised in our hearts. We waited, we wrote, we did all things expected till we just resigned into God's hands.
She even started online classes thinking it would come very soon - for where? She went through so much stress!!! Oh!!!
I just burst into tears when I opened the mail; the waiting was not in vain!
Her timeline is as follows: Submission - 5th October 2020 Biometrics - 16th October 2020 NSE Request Letter - 19th November 2020 Upfront Medical passed - 2nd December 2020 BVL & PPR - 22nd April 2021
She did not meet up with the NSE Request but when it was taking too long, I just went ahead to submit an expired underscored IELTS of hers in March 2021. I wrote scores and scores of letters, so many webforms - I lost count!
October Applicants, get ready, it's raining PPR!!! Your tears are being wiped away!!!
I will post the documents I submitted for her in a while.
Praise God with us!!!! |

First of all, it is expected that you still have the form in question. So open it and confirm what you filled in that section. If you are sure you filled it correctly and submitted the right form, tell them so and if not, explain you made a mistake and you never meant to deceive them. My friend and brothel in law made the same mistake because they thought ot was just for Canada but the difference is that they realized it before important review started on their profiles so they quickly corrected it and sent webforms attaching the corrected form and it was updated. I must say that that particular section can be a bit confusing. We are all aware IRCC compares information with Australia, New Zealand, USA and most probably the UK, so I don't believe anyone would willingly lie about the obvious. I pray they will favourably consider you. All the best. demure178: Good morning, I just got this now, and I remember telling them I was denied visa 2019 and all, while filling the im form, please I would appreciate if someone could help me out how I should tackle this, or if someone was been sent a wrong false accuse information. I remember someone having this problem and how he solved it Please anybody who could help, I would appreciate it |

To be on a safer side, I sent you a mail, if you don't mind, please reply, I would appreciate if you'd give me an input on how to construct the mail for the webform.

Oh no! I wish you had not yet submitted. However you can still attach your documents through a webform if you so desire. It is well. Don't fear; it will never sort out anything. Let's look out for solutions instead. Send the documents, let me see if I can reduce them. LadyBlaq: I got 41mb at first, then after some heavy compression and shadings, I got 4.0 on the dot.
The thing is this, I already submitted my application. I am so scared right now. I wish there's a way I can attach additional documents. |

The answer is yes. Just like you wrote, upfront medical is having your medical done and submitted before it is requested for. So it can either be submitted together with your application or sent in after the submission of your application through a webform or email. Ellibaba: Good evening guys, please when you say “upfront medical” does it mean going for medical before submitting your application or going for it after you’ve your application but before the visa officer requests for it ?
Please I need clarification. Thank you |

What was the volume of the complete documents? Send them (the complete documents) to me, let me see if I can help you. LadyBlaq: I have a question please, I removed a lot of files while trying to achieve the needed 4mb capacity. For instance, my transcript is 4 pages in length, but I only uploaded the two middle pages that had the course details taken while I removed the first page(bearing the address and office of the sender, name and recepient of the transcript) and the last page (bearing final cumulative GPA).
Now the question, is this an act of hoarding information? I am asking because i have seen a lot of refusals because of too much info or too little info. |

Yes, you can. You do not even have to wait till they request for it. The medical organisation is expected to upload your result a few days after your test. You are expected to also upload the sheet they give you. Your medical test should read passed in a week's time or even less on your profile. childgodly: Hi everyone, Can I do my Medicals before they request for it? So that if they do I will just submit it at once. Is that allowed? And how long does it normally take for the medical results to be released. |

August is quite late for fall; September admission unless she is thinking of deferring the admission. Now she could actually get lucky and her study permit is approved within 4 weeks but what if it is not approved on time? I will not advise you to take this risk at all. Processing time for study permit has now been stretched to 20 weeks and that is 5 months. People with fall admission are already submitting their application. Think about your decision very well and make a good choice okay. May I please ask what course she got accepted for? University of Saskatchewan is a bit late on their decisions for fall admission this year. Cooladex: Pls I need the advice of gurus in the house.
My wife got an admission to Univ of Saskatchewan this month for fall 2021.
Presently we don't even have a 4months statement. POF, because the funds are scattered (our fault) We intend to start growing the account from May till August, and submit her application by early Aug.
Pls is this a good idea and I hope the school won't raise any issue as to why we started study permit application so late? |
