Another area where Uber beats Bolt is their transparent rating system.
It will be very hard to be yanked off the Uber platform due to low ratings.

I'll suggest you stick to the sole aim of ride sharing which is movement from point A to point B. And be professional about it.

You can also sense a trouble rider from their own ratings and conversation before pick up.
You MUST NOT accept/complete every trip request.

Sadly, Bolt doesn't encourage filtering of trip requests and ultimately leads to a BLOCK.

P.S- Most drivers boost their Bolt ratings fraudulently by dummy requests.
Thanks bro

...hahahahaha.....can't stop laughing ó...so this is true.

I took a lady from maplewood estate last Sunday to Eko hotel on a bolt ride. We had a nice conversation and all that. Arrived at her destination, I unlocked central lock. When she was about to disembark from the Vehicle, she said:

Rider: why didn't you plead or request for 5star rating...
Me: (chuckled) ...for what sis? I smiled again
Rider: But other drivers do, they keep begging me..
Me: apologies, not to be seen to be rude or sound arrogant. Can I have a minute of your time.
Rider: Yes you can. (She smiled)
Me: While growing up, we (using the pronoun loosely now) all do pray for our teachers to give us good marks/result, same for common entrance Primary 6, I went further Junior WAEC, WAEC/GCE, JAMB-POLY JAMB, all thru University also....

My Sister (quite older than her though) , At this Juncture, stage of my life....I do not need any individual evaluation to validate my decision(s)...(speaking further) I don't believe the rating is objective enough and its quite un-empirical...

Rider: smiled, hmmm hmmm ..... Nodding her head... I'll like to see you some other time...bye

Me: Enjoy the rest of your day ma'am

Rider: ...And you too

(Door closes)
...Zoomed off to go chill over 1bottle and watching EPL

4-5Hours later...

Phone rings....
Me: (who be this again)
Hello...sorry who is online pls
Rider: oh..I'm (blablabla) you dropped me off at Eko hotel
Me: oh yeah, you forgot something? Hope no problem
Rider: No no no, are you still around? I wouldn't mind if you can come pick me up
Me: Eeyah... I'm already in gbagada...so sorry
Rider: Alright...I'll order for another ride
Me: please do ma'am

(An hour and half gone later)

Phone rings again....rider calling...(now I recognize the number)

Rider: You did not ask me whether I was able to get a ride
Me: (I laughed, how e tey concern me) you'll surely do ma'am.....we do unregistered schedules night and day (I replied jokingly, thinking about antleagues and lazyDLeague for my mind)

Rider: stop calling me ma'am...are you not older than me..
Me: (I'm like hehehe, òmó...house don full ó...àwón èru(slave) oloun tí wà nílè ó, referring to my kids now)
I replied: Ah no...It doesn't matter, its just out of courtesy and its my forte

....To be Cont'd...(hahahahaha)

Quick one, lessons learnt...

Just be your self, don't be at the passengers/rider beck and call to determine your actions/inactions

Your life is not dependent on Bolt/Uber.

Have a plan B, just like what Pastor Adefarasin (house on rock) said sometimes ago...

Your Mental health is Paramount, I repeat your mental health is Paramount. Keep it in check. The fulcrum could be tampered with by "insane riders" , if not well manage . Simply because, you tend to ferry passengers instantaneously and you'll come across them in this sinusoidal manner:
"good-bad-bad-ugly-good-ugly-bad-ugly-good"
At high wavelength....

So a word is enough....

My regards to Oga Felicity.... I just gbàdun dat guy for no reason walai, his write up do crack me up. Logic to full in head...
I love this so much, I had to quote it All. Thanks for this. I'll just be myself and do my thing.

If you are very sure of the above....just be yourself and offer the best service you can without enslaving your dignity....your ratings will surely improve....card trips has a high differential, so ensure you don't ignore too much of card trips.
I don't ignore card trips. I usually accept it, so as for bolt to take their charge from it, instead of transferring

Dont change anything you're doing... It will regulate itself. To add, don't speak unless spoken to.
I really don't speak at first. I wait for them to start it. The only thing I tell them at first, is about connecting their phone to the android via Bluetooth, if they want to play their music. If they say they are fine, I usually just play gospel or radio.

Don't worry bro. It'll definitely come back up. Some people will be intimidated by your car and charisma. I get that alot too. When I'm on bolt I don't say I own my car. I tell them I got it on rent, so they pity me cos they feel I'm beneath them, but on Uber, I'm myself, plus Uber's ratings system is transparent. Your car will be appreciated by Uber riders than bolt riders. These days I don't care about the bolt ratings. You need to also look out for red flags from daughters of jazebel so as to maintain a good star rating
Thanks bro

Check below......it was 4.5 last week
The level of my A/C is usually high, even when it affects me, I still ignore, just to satisfy riders. My second rider told me to put it off, that my car is too cold.
I don't think the A/c is the prob, but thanks for your advice.

Thanks. The last lady I picked today from Berger to ikeja really enjoyed our discussion. I even allowed her play her choice of songs by connecting her phone to my android via Bluetooth. I really don't understand it.

I use a Toyota Camry 08 for this job, bolt precisely. It has android screen....not the normal muscle front.

I used to be on 4.7* rating, but today I saw 4.5*

I usually call rider first. I usually greet first when they enter. I even carry their loads myself and put in the trunk. If it's about driving carefully, I am sure I do. Even before this hustle, when there was no car, if I go out with friends, they usually prefer I drive, even when they all can drive. Even my mom commends my driving skills. So what could be the problem? I usually dress well. Some of my clothes are pretty expensive......sneakers, wristwatches, cologne. Could it be that they see my car and dressing as too big for the job or what? I don't understand the reason for the drop in rating? Could it be that I communicate in clean oral English. I speak very well.
What exactly could be the problem?

There's this bolt driver I met around pharmcity Lekki. He said he does not carry loads o, that he opens the trunk for them. His rating is about 4.9*

I used to be very vigilant cos I drive mostly in the night till 23:59pm and very early in the morning.
But last friday I picked four guys all high and smelling of smoke. They had already entered before I realized that I let down my guard.
What do I do ?
Na so I begin beg the one in front that I can’t move ooh, that my hands and legs are shaking cos they have bags and 3 men seating behind me. Dt dey just killed one Unilag MSc holder. Bla bla
The leader or bros say : “ma foó, drive “
Me: bros Na night and Na hustle I dey I beg
One of them from the back said: Na sleep we won go sleep no para, we go chup life.

I dropped them at destination and realized how it’s only God that saves us.
Baba pls if you own the car, don't do late night hustle again. It's risky. What if those guys were robbers or car snatchers? Your life dey more important than the 1M o!
I'll advice pilots in the house to close early, at least 9pm and be very vigilant and observant. If you notice any suspecting movement, just abort and zoom off! The country is so bad now. People don't mind to waste life just to make money! It is that bad!

Don't let anybody confuse you. Bolt told you 2100-2700. If he sticks to the map and no unforseen incidents happen, the fare would fall into that range.[/color]
Even with heavy traffic and rain? I don't think so. I picked a lady from her house around opebi Allen, to the same around opebi Allen (a popular bar) she was surprised at the price. She said it was far above what bolt displayed before she ordered. I told her it's the heavy rain. Then the time(day/night) also contributes.

last month I made 657k after commission. Fuel is 32k weekly or 124k monthly or 4,100 daily. Average hrs for the last 3 months is 11.4 hrs daily.

Change oil and linkages monthly on average
Other expenses is according to how I like. Zero naira on lastma for the past 3 years. Police, I dash them money when I like.
I don't know how you do it though. 657k after bolt commission? That's about 21,194 per day. If we deduct fuel 4100, then it's around 17k left, for about 11 hours. That's 527k profit monthly.

I did 12 hours today, I made 23,200. Deducted commission and it came to 18,384. Deducted fuel 4500, that's 13,884 left. This is 12 hours hustle non stop! Are you sure the 657k is after Bolt's commission?
