At an age when kids are supposed fond of animals in most countries, a seven year old is busy stoning them. Now you can see why folks are quick to kill any animal in sight in Nigeria.. We need a mental orientation in this country..
I hope the woman has a change of heart all the same.. |

Lexusgs430: It's not for sale, but for personal use. When I get tired of it, it ends up in my gadget bin. If it develops a fault, manufacturers warranty would sort it out(1 year warranty). It cost me about £360(I thought the dash charger was an optional extra and bought it). But device comes with dash charger, so would be returning the dash charger bundle for a refund. So it brings cost of the unit to £329.00 Abeg how is the battery, my 2014 One plus had an amazing battery on kitkat, but tanked on lolipop.. I want to upgrade from my trusty One plus one to OP3, I need something with a better camera. you fit give me pros and cons.. Thanks |

Phonefanatic: You are expecting delivery and you have concluded you won't sell and how much is the total cost you've spent to buy ad ship the phone down here? Have you considered how difficult it may be to replace any part of this phone if it gets faulty? Have you considered Lexuegs430 might not be living in Nigeria, The phone cost £329 in UK, went up by £20 after Brits voted to leave the union.. He quoted prices consistent with UK buyers hence my suspicion.. Returns and repairs can be difficult with One plus unlike other big manufacturers but it comes with a years warranty. Office of fair trading UK will let them know about it if they refuse to honour terms of the warranty unlike in Nigeria where you haven't got such back up or a functioning one.. I use the one plus one, paid £277 back in 2014, it sells on eBay for £150 plus or minus, that's tech for you, value depreciates rapidly, companies churning out devices at ridiculous pace.. Yes, some phones have higher resale value than others, i.e iphone, but thats not the reason some people buy gadgets. Personally, i buy what i like, once am done i hand it over to somebody.. Phones starts depreciating after a few weeks of release.. |

Food › Re: Animal We Killed During Night Hunting by Baroba(m): 12:36am On Aug 08, 2016 |
Fit2Rule: It's called uchi rigodo in my language (Ufia). It feeds mainly on chicks. During its predation, it will make the sound of mother hen and when chicks come out, it will open its wet and brightly coloured anus which will attract small ants. The chicks will then try feed on the ants and the animal will suddenly close its anus, trapping unsuspecting chicks in the process. It will then run with the trapped chick until its sure that the chicks had died after which it'll use the dead chicks for food. Very clever animal isn't it? Seems you have been watching too many cartoons of late.. |
Food › Re: Animal We Killed During Night Hunting by Baroba(m): 12:34am On Aug 08, 2016 |
Tallesty1: The Animal is either breastfeeding its kids or it recently stopped breastfeeding them. Either way, the implication of its death is that the kids will either die of starvation or get eaten by other stronger animals. makaveli902: Forget the lies, they are doing this because they are an Islamic country (they hate dogs) what happened to animal shelter? You just spoke my mind, see what Islam says about dog; Islam forbids Muslims to keep dogs, and the punishment for that is that the one who does that loses one or two qiraats from his hasanaat (good deeds) each day. An exception has been made in the case of keeping dogs for hunting, guarding livestock and guarding crops. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever keeps a dog, except a dog for herding, hunting or farming, one qiraat will be deducted from his reward each day.” Narrated by Muslim, 1575. |

Crime › Re: Customs Impound Smuggled Poultry Products Worth Over N268m In Owerri by Baroba(m): 11:12pm On Aug 01, 2016 |
Acidosis: Many Nigerian leaders lack wisdom..
How can you bury these products because someone somewhere concocted some stories about preservation?
How else do companies preserve food products? Scientists preserve Fish (Sardine), we preserve Tin tomatoes, we preserve Milk, etc.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with food preservation. The NCS boss acted dumbly by assuming that chemicals meant for dead bodies were used on those packaged products, without any empirical testing. Why don't you hire a food scientist or science lab tech guys to prove that? Why bury products on dum.b hearsays??
If your country feels threatened with importation of frozen foods, then divert these products to IDPs and the less privileges in the society.
When fuel marketers hoard petroleum products, regulators do not set these outlets ablaze for violating the law. What they do is to dispense fuel FOC to commuters.
By the way, I'm one of the few who believe poultry farms in Nigeria cannot serve the demand. The statistics are there, but like any other sector, we proudly and f00lishly believe Nigeria is truly an African giant. Nigeria is the worst nation in Africa in terms of aquaculture production. Nigeria is the greatest importer of fish, and diary products in Africa. When we produce 1%, we need at least 99% of importation for sustenance.
Let no one deceive you Nigerians. The chicken, and Titus fish you eat daily are ALL imported.
Look at the graph below and see where the so called Africa Giant lies. We keep deceiving ourselves daily, while f00ling ourselves amongst other silent African countries.
The same applies to tourism industry in the country. At the sound of Calabar, we wrongly and f00lishly assume Nigeria is a giant in Africa, without looking at statistics. In Africa, Nigeria is one of the the worst nation in terms of Tourism contributions to GDP. Nigeria is ranked the lowest in the Table in Africa. Until we begin to tell ourselves the truth, we will continue to lag behind.
Whether you bury these products, the probability that we will continue to eat frozen imported chicken remains at 1. Bury it or not, the local and available product cannot meet the demand. Tell yourself the truth, and stop acting like a commando for burying edible products. It is f00lish.
One company will just wake up tomorrow and produce 10 bags of Nassarawa rice and people will start shouting "proudly Naija", "ban importation", LOLZ!! Rice that is not even enough to feed one boarding school in Ogun state in 1 week. Lol. You are a wise fella, preach on bro.. |
