Learned some people were trying to make it a tribal thing because of what a nollywood actress said. What has tribe got to do wirh child abuse? What if the child were to be your own, would you accept it or allow it to be swept under the carpet? Let there be justice for the alleged victim. |
So who's lying and who's telling the truth. This latest information is from the LGA chairman but who are we going to believe? The 'super nigerian army' or the insurgents? Nigerian army and its 'deny mentality' is not handling this properly. They should be better ways of doing it. |
Army and usual denial. Even if pictorial evidence is provided the army would still deny it. I don't know what they call such 'deny everything stratergy' That was how the men at the helm of affairs denied everything until they left and started speaking from the other side of the mouths. Even in recruitments it's square pegs in round holes and when confronted they would deny it.. What's so difficult in saying the truth so that people can know the real position and offer help when the need arises? |
I'am not sure this man would ever resign or be sacked. Even if he's taken out of his present position, another appointment would be given to him. Probably a position where he would not be in limelight. It's said that he had initially denied his support to terrorist groups and only admitted after he was overwhelmed by evidence If indeed he has changed as they claim, why is it so difficult to show evidence such as video clips or other proofs where he actually spoke against the position he earlier held in the past with respect to al-Qaida, Taliban and glorification of the death of so called unbelievers? |
Over to obaseki. Show proof(s) |
So sad how the country is but it's reality. |
Unless I do not fully understand, it seems wike is not aware of the money printed. It also seem as if obaseki happens to be the only one who knew about this. I probably do not understand either obaseki's statement or wike's response. |
The operation started last year which is good. But honestly we are yet to see positive effects. The bandits and so called terrorist groups are getting more confident. They are still running over army bases. So there are still somethings missing in the manner that this whole security issue is being handled by the present government. |
Since it's obvious the job wasn't done what happens to the money paid to the contractor? Probably nothing because of the beneficiaries. There is really no difference between APC and PDP. Infact they have more things in common. Looting is the common denominator. People looted then, people are looting now and some people who looted then are among those looting now. And nigeria is almost dead but life goes on. |
A trained police office who had been in service for years accidently shot himself in the chest? Well it could happen. I knew one sometime back who always had the 'safety' off and I always had issues with him whenever we were together. His reason was that he didn' t anyone to snatch his rifle from him. It didn't make much sence to me but ........ |
The insurgents would soon post their own video and version of events. Meanwhile the war goes on with a group that has technically been defeated. What's so difficult in clearing a group of fighters in your territory by a supposedly trained military? There's certainly more to this. |
Who do you believe? Is it not amazing that people find it difficult to believe any information from the nigerian army or government? And this does not seem to bother them ( army or nigerian government) Very sad. |
Honestly I find it difficult to believe any nigerian politician or security agent. I expect obaseki to respond to this by letting us know he said the truth. It's that simple. |
For you guys that are happy that the case has not died but moved to State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti in Yaba for proper investigation, do not rejoice yet. The police can collect 'deve' and delibrately do a shoddy investigation so as to alliow the alleged murderer to be discharged in court or for the dpp not to see any reason to prosecute. Alot of stuff happens at police stations. |
Despite the accounts of several witnesses and the victim of the involvement of DSS operatives in the arrest and detention, the agency’s spokesperson, Peter Afunaya, had debunked it. I do not know how this 'spokesperson' job is done but it obviously involves telling great 'lies' It's so difficult to believe these government people. So who did the people see? Witness say they saw the dss arrest and hand him over to the police. But afunaya said that the dss was not involved. So UGM took him to the police. This country is really something else. |
So none of the over 100 repentant and rehabilitated ex- bokoharam fighters know where shekau is or the kind of stragegy they use and what their immediate and long term goals are? So not one of them has been able to provide a near credible intelligence that ciuld be used to completely end these bokoharam and iswap issue? Tbere's certainly more to this than the government is telling us. |
Good qualification but how has it helped policing in nigeria? Though I believe someone should have the necessary qualifications but the mindset is what really matters. Nothing really has changed over the years. The 'terrible' and money conscious' attitude of most of them are still the same. It's still the same situation. |
In this operation, the nigerian army's equipment is now 'sophisticated, superior and state of the art' Very soon bokoharam, iswap and so called bandits would unleash a 'major' mayhem and the army's equipment would become 'not sophisticated, not superior and not state of the art' Since nigerian leaders have refused to do the needful but keep on relying on the 'sectionalized' army to keep the country together, it's just a matter of time before the country (that's already on a brink) falls fully on them and probably ceases to exist. |
Please dont be silly, and STOP NORMALIZING EXTRA-JUDICIAL KILLINGS. Why should the army go about killing "unknown men" for no just cause? Its only in africa that the army are used to provide internal security and harrass citizens, and most people, like you, will cheer them on. Their main focus should be on the militants everywhere who have fixed spots of operation, not on the average citizen[/quote]True |
I do not believe these 'credible intelligence' reports and I have a right to that. I think these agencies are just trying to cover their failures. Why is there no intelligence on other security issues? These lapses would continue as long as we keep on putting square pegs in round holes. The current situation where it seems they do not have the best brains available would continue to hunt nigeria. A group of people would be deep in nigeria's territory and the intelligence agencies would not know what's happening. And after much destruction and violence, you would hear that they had or have 'rubbish' intelligence report. The kind of report they had and still have on bokoharam, bandits and lately ESN. Please enough of this nonsence. |
So what 'd happen after this report? We 've seen and heard similar reports in the past and nothing happened.. The report mentioned PEP. They should have particularly mentioned judges both in supreme court, CA , FHC and state courts as well. Nigeria's unfortunately a cesspool of rot. It's there for everyone to see. Foreigners come here and bribe our judges and thereafter go back to their country and tell their folks how terrible nigeria is. It's so sad but its reality. |
The seeming nepotism is unprecedented. |
They were likely released by the bandits. They would keep on lying until they exhaust all the available lies in their book of lies. So why were the others not rescued? Where are they now? |
GS obviously wrote this and attributed it to PMB. |
So if they are not told they 'd not know what to do? Security agencies indeed ! |
What are we supposed to believe? The naf would never admit that the aircraft was shot down even if it was actually shot down. Let us assume it was not shot down. Where is it then? Did the pilots fly out of our territory? Or has it become the case of the 'missing' malaysian plane? They would lie about this missing plane and everything until they exhaust all the lies in their book of lies. |
It's just a matter of time. You would certainly reap what you sow. A person who sow wickedness would most certainly reap calamity. Anyone can mock this and reply with insults, It does not matter. |
AfroKnight:Yes. Dude is afraid of the truth. Probably because he loves the girl much more than she loves him. That's if she's.not using him as a wedge with no love. |
khalids:I tire oooo |
Where are the people ruling the country? I just hope they are not taking it as the will of god. |
These crises could be managed better. But , honestly leadership is seriously lacking. It seems they are hoping on the army to keep the country together. An army that is sectionalized. How possible is that? It's just sad for the country. |
AdolfAboki:Sad, unfortunate and terribly misguided. You read statements like this and you ask if nigeria is really worth it |
