I am heading to London, Ontario. Is it possible to catch a train from Toronto to London with my heavy luggage? Aircanada is like 400$(40mins) while train is about 60$(2:30hrs). Plus I just won experience train too especially after the 13hrs flight to Toronto.

Siga: ...If u are given a month single entry study visa which is wat Canada gives anywayz...it means u have to travel to Canada within that one month...for example...if ur visa was issued lets say Nov 1 and Expiry shows Nov 30....this means, u can still leave naija Nov 29 midnight, just make sure u step in front of Canadian immigration officer no later than Nov 29 @ 11:59pm....lol.....once u get here...ur visa will be voided and u get a Study permit that runs through your program....now, if u want to leave Canada at anytime...u will have to apply outside Canada...people mostly send their applications to Canadian embassies in US....my experience...I sent mine to Buffalo back then and was asked to come for an interview at the Canadian embassy....to do this I had to apply for a US visa which I was denied and this made the Canadian Embassy at Buffalo to deny my Multiple Entry Visa and bro...I stayed put for Canada till I finished school, got a job a month after then applied for PR through the Skilled Worker thingy....

All concerning the refusal of TRV by CDHC its on the ground of ties to naija. I think what CDHC is looking at that critacally because most self sponsors are married and they are the ones they really respond to on the other hand they also respond to those that are been sponsored by thier parents.
and note that if u are filling thier questionier dont agree that u have anybody in canada. My opinion though.
but lets look at the bright side when you get here u will see that its just shakara they are doing because they know that nobody is coming back frm naija rite here there are alot of illegal immigrants.

I dont think the issue of ties to Nigeria is a strong factor, because they know that most students would not want to go back after study, they even made provision for post graduate work permit which you can apply for after completion of your program.they are even encouraging real student to stay and work after graduation.I think what they consider most is how you can take care of your self financially and your intention of coming, they dont want people that will come and start causing problems.If you can prove to them that you can take care of yourself financially and also prove that you are actually coming for study(the program should be related to your undergrad, what you do,the professional affiliation etc)you should be fine.

Please somebody should pls guide me on this, home stay and off campus residence or Dorms which is more economical and preferable to a student just entering Canada.

It depends on what your want, some houses are expensive than others, just look up kijiji.ca or craigslist.com and search for housing where your school is and compare the cost.You can go to home stay being a new comer after getting used to the environment if the the place suit you ,you continue if not you look for a better place,the advantage of a home stay if that you have a place you will move into and get settled as you land.

all, am really having some problems and in a tyt corner, my school declined giving me their account details until the official registration date 13th june. I paid the tuition today after registering yesterday nyt......now CDHC deadline for me is 30 days from 22nd May and my school may not be able to process a receipt, not even an online copy b4 then. I have since done my medicals on 6th june. Don't know if I shud send a mail to CDHC that I cannot make d deadline, or what other options do I have.......pls gurus in d house I need your urgent answers.........

Submit the payment slip(the bank teller you used in making the payment) or if its a credit card print out the transaction page and send it to them,its the school policy of not disclosing their account until certain period,its not your fault.You can write them and explain the circumstance.Its not a big deal,stay your TRV is on the way by God grace.
