APC governors and the National working committee of the party will be meeting on Wednesday, January 17th to marshal out plans for the upcoming general elections and pick a date for its much anticipated national convention.

This meeting is the first strategic meeting held by the party this year and it will be at the party's headquarters in Abuja. PoliticsNGR gathered that parties in the consultative meeting will discuss and deliberate on the 2019 general elections timetable recently released by INEC.

A source disclosed; "As you know, this will be the first consultative meeting and, therefore, it is not clear whether the National Assembly members will be in attendance. But, the meeting will be attended by the governors as other strategic issues regarding the APC winning the 2019 general elections would be discussed," he said.

I think the generality of Nigerians are insensitive to the balance of life even our forefathers who are not learned understands and appreciate the importance of wild life hence their many animal related poetry, proverbs and use of adjective to describe the beauty of nature through the lens of animal life. A message on a fake Twitter handle purportedly belonging to President Muhammadu Buhari is in circulation. The spurious message seeks to justify attacks by herdsmen, saying they were only defending themselves.

Evil doers and enemies of our country are obviously at work, seeking ways to further advance their pernicious acts. The message is denounced in its entirety, and President Buhari stands by his earlier condemnation of the killings in Benue and other parts of the country as dastardly and unacceptable before God and man. Those behind the concocted message are also enemies of God and man, who have no place in a decent society.

The President stands by his earlier directives that all those behind wanton killings in any part of the country must be brought to book.
