^ You sound like a baby seeking for notice. Please don't engage me again, I like to converse with intelligent people. How does any of the links you posted show that PHP is a designed language? ![]() I don't like talking for the sake of it. If cannot show a single design document for PHP , then phuck off and stop wasting my time. I can't imagine a sensible developer pointing out frameworks when they have been challenged to produce a design document. Did you learn at Alaba market? This is the same way you came in noisily and pathetically failed the the brain test I set here with some stup!d JavaScript entry. I really think you are a fool. Ecma (ECMA-334) and ISO (ISO/IEC 23270:2006) are standards for C#, what is the standard for PHP outside cut and nail? That is the challenge you need to meet, don't show me cakephp like you are a two year old coder seeing their first wonder. Bring out PHP's design document or admit that you are an id!ot who argues about what he doesn't know. PROVIDE A DESIGN DOCUMENT OR PHUCK OFF. |
pDude:Why don't you go to the website you are making fun of like a fool and help yourself? There is already one type of yam harvester there for you to do with as you please. There is also a plantain harvester there as well FREE. Get your technical people to build it and make yourself useful to your community instead of acting the fool and blocking others who might need it more than you. Maybe you will even be the one to apply for the R & D grant to help yourself. |
The bags are ready. Korofo, blow ya whistle and let the train get moving. ![]() |
^ You have very tiny "balloons!" Do you mind doing some "science" with them? ![]() |
pDude:Whithin the next two days, we will announce another mode of yam harvester here on NL, and as usual it would be FREE for all Africans. What can you people show for all your cackling? If we so wish, from now until the end of the year we can give out a free invention every week. It is God that provides the means. |
diluminati:That forum is quiet, because those of us who put love into it are quite busy people (which is unfortunate in many ways). Money is not the problem, love; We have received enough offers out of the blue from very reputable bodies and we have been running sweetly without a dime from kwashiokored winshes like you. Its good to know that even vultures are keeping track of that site. How many of you can give away stuff like that? You are just all mouth and hatred, whereas you can visibly see what some ogf us can freely provide. I know you are jealous, evil people always have a way of being jealous at the deeds of the pure hearted. Why can't you start your own version of www.afrosciencecommunity.com to help people? Or are you just too busy sucking the blood of babies? |
blink182:Bros, it simply means that you are not supplied from that power station. It is running and pumping out electricity to Lagos. How do you know its not your transformer that has packed up? |
Arosa:The fact that its independent bodes well. There was talk last year of setting a percentage of our GDP aside for Research and Development; a first in Nigeria. It really is the way to go. In developed countries, uni's are at the forefront of technology, because they are very well funded; but over here they are just glorified building steeped in poverty (of mind and money). IMHO, to succeed, the entire curriculum would need to change for a much more hands on mode of learning that is backed by critical thinking skills. |
pDude:Stop seeking attention like an id!ot. |
^ Oando used to be responsible for more than half of the subsidy (Idon't know if they still are), so it would be really difficult for them to escape the searchlight. They will be minutely scrutinised for their sheer import volumes, even if they are sqeauky clean which I thoroughly doubt. |
HNosegbe:The prost!tutes you waste your worthless life with are the paid agents, including the one in your bed at home. |
The idea is excellent if it would be carried out properly. Our uni's and research institutes hardly do any research, talkless of being the fulcrum around which we will develop. I am really interested to see how this will perform. |
rosefleurs:No vex wit me as we nefa meet before. |
The duo of Tope Sonubi and Tonye Cole instead to appear before the panel chooses not to appear but instead went all out to appease and compromise the members because of their shoddy dealsChoi! Sprrrrrrrrreaking Engrrrrrrrrrissssssssssssssssss!!! |
This is the Twitter generation that takes tweeted gossip as fact. Its an intellectually lazy age. Imagine expressing random stup!dity and asking such a foolish question on NL instead of checking legit news sources first? ![]() I no blame di OP, na Twitter I blame. |
HNosegbe:Address your question to fools like yourself who go around insulting others, just because you are too daft to cope mentally. Imagine telling me I'm paid. If you were anywhere close, I would have gotten boys to really make you see 7 devils. |
By the way, all liars, the SURE programme has not been canceled, your singular problem is that you do not read to educate yourselves. An ignorant man is more dangerous than a fool. These are the Presidents exact words about the brochure in circulation: GEJ: “As I came in I saw this SURE book being distributed, we are withdrawing it, this is the old one. We developed this with the expectation that we are going to completely deregulate the down stream of the oil industry, the 100 per cent removal of subsidy. You know we could not achieve that though there is increase in the pump price, so this has to be adjusted. I don’t want this thing to be distributed.http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/02/sure-p-fg-to-come-up-with-new-document-soon-jonathan/ Now, why do some of you like lying? If anybody either doesn't understand or misconstrues those words, then that person is beyond help and not worth any time. |
^ First it was outright lies, now its outright desperation! A Yoruba man, Werepeleri, is an ethnic bigot for supporting GEJ an Ijaw man? Na wa o! Unu go kill pesin nama wit laugh one day o! www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
webdezzi:I use a similar method all the time. I have just generated a project with 538 classes. I started just a week ago with some barely related XML. The week was spent designing the app, mapping the relationships between the classes and interfaces, sorting out inheritances, generating a database and writing the generation code. After that? Press the button. It would have taken me months and an untold amount of frustration and misery with any other approach. |
^ What a load of bullshiit. Is the mailer we are talking about not from the library, which itself remains a hack? Is it the inclusion of function callbacks that have made it crap? Its like you just talk out of your arse for fun. Even something as simple as a mailer in the library is phucked and nearly impossible to debug. How many languages outside of PHP have such id!otic mailers? Some random quotes from the creator of PHP, Rasmus Lerdorf. No wonder the language has the characteristics of tragedy. ![]() PHP is about as exciting as your toothbrush. You use it every day, it does the job, it is a simple tool, so what? Who would want to read about toothbrushes?http://www.sitepoint.com/article/phps-creator-rasmus-lerdorf/2 The following are on an mp3 you can download at the identical link thats below each of them: I was really, really bad at writing parsers. I still am really bad at writing parsers.http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3298.html We have things like protected properties. We have abstract methods. We have all this stuff that your computer science teacher told you you should be using. I don't care about this crap at all.http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3298.html There are people who actually like programming. I don't understand why they like programming.http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3298.html I'm not a real programmer. I throw together things until it works then I move on. The real programmers will say "Yeah it works but you're leaking memory everywhere. Perhaps we should fix that." I’ll just restart Apache every 10 requests.http://itc.conversationsnetwork.org/shows/detail3298.html Even a language like JavaScript has design documents and is even registered with Ecma (as are the likes of C# and Office Open XML). What are the standards for PHP? Where are the design documents for its various releases? Please nobody reply if you have nothing to back up your words, I really hate foolishness. |
^ Who is talking about difficulty? I am am talking about PHP being a hack and having no design from its inception. It has remained a hack and will always be a hack. It is what thay call, "anywhere bele face." How does difficulty make one language better than the other? Why jump into a discussion like a clown, sir? Please, allow folk who know what they are talking about to speak, before wearing your arse over your mouth. Make an argument in support of PHP or fault what I have said, if you cannot, then sit down and learn. Anything short is basically being silly. |
HNosegbe:I already told you what I think of you. That is, you act like a fool. It takes a fool to deeply insult another person, because of a difference of opinion. Get lost, fool. |
HNosegbe:And you think behaving like the desperate armed robbers and assassins on NL makes you sound intelligent? Why don't you drop some death threats like them too? Who started the name calling? Was it not you? I know you are not a politician like those bastar'ds that is the only reason I have held back. You sound like a fool. |
HNosegbe:Right, so I must accept your word enh? So who's payroll would you say you are on since you do not agree with me? When people talk like you just did, a single word comes to mind and its, "id!ot." |
^ How many id's will you use to talk crap? You've logged on as about 3 or 4 different arseholes already. Is lying this addictive? Lol! ![]() |
Nigeria's new science fund takes US as its model Dedicated research support to be managed independently from government. Emeka JohnKingsley 22 February 2012 Abuja An article from SciDev.Net. Nigeria is to get a dedicated science fund similar to the US National Science Foundation, to provide support for research in the country. The National Science Research, Technology and Innovation Fund, announced last month (25 January), will be run by an independent board and headed by Nigeria's president Goodluck Jonathan, a scientist by training. Nigerian science funding has so far come from international agencies, or from government departments not dedicated to science. (Here, lab technicians receive malaria microscopy training from a U.S. Army Research Unit near Lagos, Nigeria). US Army Africa Nigeria's recent science, technology and innovation (STI) policy, approved in December by Nigeria's highest decision-making body, the Federal Executive Council, advocated for a minimum of one per cent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP) to be spent on science by the public and private sectors, and international organisations. The fund has been set up in line with recommendations of the policy, but specifics on how it will operate have not yet been released. A source in the science ministry said that the money for the fund would come from the government, along with the private sector and development agencies. At present, research funds come primarily from the budgets of individual agencies and of international agencies. There is no specific science fund. Previous research funds have been proposed, such as one in 2006 with a planned endowment of US$5 billion from oil revenues – but none of these proposals was successful. But hopes are high for this new fund as the idea comes from the new STI policy, which the government says it will start implementing soon. Read more on SciDev.Net. The permanent secretary of the science ministry, Dere Awosika, said that the Ministry of Finance was due to announce the budget of the fund in the next two weeks. Nigeria's minister of information, Labaran Maku, said the creation of the fund meant the country was "taking a major step" in realising its development agenda, 'Vision 2020'. The fund will be independent, managed outside the regular government funding system and open to applications from all Nigerian research organisations, said Maku. The director-general of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure, Olusegun Adewoye, called on the government to provide an endowment of US$10 billion. He said the country needs a science strategy to decide how to spend the money. "Before the money is touched at all, there should be a strategic plan for what Nigeria needs to do in two, five and in 25 years," he said, adding that Nigeria should concentrate on building up research areas that it can succeed in. The president of the Nigerian Academy of Science, Oye Ibidapo Obe, suggested to SciDev.Net that a percentage of national tax income should be set aside to finance the fund. He said the fund should be operated in a transparent way by a committee consisting of members of the Nigerian Academy of Science and similar organisations. The secretary-general of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences, Justin Epelu-Opio, welcomed the fund and said his academy would advocate a similar fund in Uganda. http://www.nature.com/news/nigeria-s-new-science-fund-takes-us-as-its-model-1.10086 |
220MW Sapele power plant comes on stream By Victor Iluyemi February 22, 2012 08:11:31am GMT Abuja (WorldStage Newsonline)-- The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday announced the coming on stream of the Sapele power plant, with a generation capacity of 220 mega watts (MW). The new power plant, according to the Information minister is part of the 10 power plants to be completed this year. The Minister of Power, Professor Barth Nnaji, had on Monday in Lagos put current power generation in the country at 4,300 megawatts (MW), representing about 40 per cent increase from 2,800MW at the commencement of the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan. According to him, “this development is a manifestation that the incumbent administration gives priority to improved power supply, especially in its drive to boost industrialisation.” He also disclosed that his ministry had resolved that there would be 24-hour power supply to Lagos in order to strengthen the economic nerve of the state. “We have resolved that Lagos will be getting more power round the clock, except if there is a hitch in power supply. I think much attention should be given to power supply rather than the number of generation. This a great achievement on the part of the government. Many areas now have power supply, some have double of what they used to have,” he said. http://www.worldstagegroup.com/worldstagenew/index.php?active=news&newscid=3968&catid=26 |
Beaf, you should know better than to come to a thread I opened and post outright lies and deception. Your claim that all oil wells in the ND belong to the FG is a bold face lie designed to continue to spread your untruths in NL. I will debunk your claim with only one example: A 45% stake of OML 26 owned jointly by Shell, Total and Eni, (NOT FG) was recently sold to First Hydrocarbon Nigeria (FHN), owned by Afren. The federal government does not own any oil well in this block. Guess where OML 26 is located - just a few tens of kilometers from Warri. Look up Ogini and Isoko oil fields if you doubt my statement. As I stated previously, this $1billion is another way to steal our money, possibly in preparation for 2015. You should be outraged.
My bad about the oil wells, it was a genuine error. Rather, all oil bearing lands and waters in the ND are the property of the FG, it is only in the North that they were able to get away with a crooked deal that is against the law of Nigeria. It is through that deal that the NNPC is blocking out the place for exploration. Of course NNPC itself does not explore, so stop being funny; the place just doesn't have a single drop of oil so companies need to be paid to waste their time there digging phucking holes that are always dry. It is a practice that has being going on for decades; find out how much Yar Adua paid, Abacha same, IBB, Buhari. Its a shame. If anybody is stealing money, you will know better since your eyes are always on oil. |
Demdem:Lol! I know if we press your button you will lie again, just like a toy! Press the button, get one lie! ![]() |
