F1: No 'step' on new Marussia car's nose
Global Motorsport Media press release
Added: 24/02/2012 06:10

Feb.24 (GMM) Marussia's new car for 2012 does not feature a 'step' on its front nose.

Every team on the 2012 grid, including HRT who are yet to release their 2012 car, responded to the FIA's new height regulations by designing an awkward 'step' between the monocoque and the tip of the nose.

The one exception, until now, was McLaren.

But Germany's Auto Motor und Sport reports that the 2012 Marussia, which will be seen for the first time in Barcelona next week, also has a clean aerodynamic line at the front.

The former Virgin team works closely with McLaren, including using the famous British team's test rigs and wind tunnel.

"In fact, there was little difference in theory between the two solutions. So why take risks with something that we do not know?" a Marussia team source is quoted as saying.

Timo Glock has already driven the new step-less Marussia in the McLaren simulator.

"We don't have too much experience with the simulator so we hope that it's right, but we will not be too optimistic -- that's not to say that I'm disappointed," said the German driver.

"I think we have a good base to build upon," added Glock.

"We have been focusing for a long time on finding the errors with the previous car and getting over them," he is quoted by Speed Week magazine.

Funny stuff!
No wonder the NLC boyz started getting rowdy again earlier this week. They were probably involved in infighting over the management of the buses.
GEJ should bera make sure that EFCC's eagle eye is on those buses, so that criminals can be locked up.

The real parasites are our northern Governors! They are demons, blood sucking vampires, they are mosquitoes that feed on us! They receive billions of Naira as grant from the federal Government! Majority of the people do not even know how much exactly they receive, only what they tell them! Most of these states are still backwards in terms of infrastructure, and apart from salaries, (which some go months without paying) there’s nothing to write home about! They mismanaged these resources, inflate contracts to exorbitant figures, some without even doing the job still, then end up at the Senate for Immunity against prosecution when they leave office! They’ve perfected their looting and pen-robbery! En massing so much wealth which can be equal to the budget of a poorer african country!

I have never dealt with the government, and I might be wrong, but I have heard that before you can perform any contract you must be pre-qualified. Can they prove that Bankole did something to help these companies get past the vetting, if so there's your crime. That would open him up to all they are looking to charge him with now.

It was someones job to make sure these companies were properly registered with CAC, they need to tie Bankole into that job not getting done.

The burden of proof is on the prosecution not the defense. If he simply says it was not his job, and it turns out to be true, then they have no case. The EFCC needs to be smarter about this. We all know he is corrupt, the EFCC needs to get better at proving it.
You are right, the burden of proof is always on the prosecution indeed. I believe that the EFCC had a way of (deliberately?) bungling its court cases in the past, otherwise people wouldn't be able to get away on laughable technicalities.
Maybe I'm not being pragmatic or putting my heart where my head should be and having faith in the new guy. But I really want people like Bankole in jail.

Maybe I am missing something here, but this seems to be following the same pattern as the last case. It does not look as though they have him dead to rights on this crime. This looks like it is about contract inflation, and I don't think it is the responsibility of the speaker of the house to go to the market and check the prices of TVs.

The last case was dismissed because the "crime" that was committed was by the clerk of the house(or something like that). The same thing will probably prove true in this situation. Whose job is it to vet these contracts and make sure they are not inflated. That is the guy who should be charged in place of Bankole.

I think that if the EFCC wants Bankole, they needs to prove that the companies that benefited from the contracts then went ahead and gave Bankole money or that he interfered with the job of the guy that should have vetted the contract.
No sir, Bankole has to prove that those companies exist. That isn't the clerks job, I think they've got the guy this time; I'm sure that if he wriggles again, they will find another one. bankole is like a Ibori and IBB, natural thieves.

Onlytruth:
My brother Dede1

I always respect the opinions of some of you that are older than myself, and may have experienced the civil war. So, I take your opinions very seriously.
However, I am also a very talented strategic thinker.  cool

I believe that is it not possible to understand the positon of our non-Igbo neighbors, until one has fitted into their shoes in the lead up to the civil war.
Also, I believe it is a grave mistake to judge most of them by the circumstances of 1967, because a WHOLE LOT has happened between then and now.
Let me leave that for now and focus on more salient points.

Personally, I believe that Eastern Nigeria +Anioma is ONE. Take a close look at Nigeria's history, not just during the civil war, but BEFORE, AND YEARS after the civil war.
Each time I look at it, I marvel at how we (both Igbo and non-Igbo) Easterners fell so easily to cheap blackmail and divide and conquer tactics.
I look at PH and Calabar for instance, and conclude that there is no reason on earth why these two cities could not have rivalled or even surpassed Lagos in greatness today, had our past leaders been more strategic in thinking.

For me, one of the biggest mistake of the Biafran war effort was that it never seriously carried the non-Igbo along.
We were unlucky not to have such leaders, but then, who is perfect on this earth.
A perfect strategy would have been to allow the whole Biafran secession effort to be led by non-Igbo almost completely (win or lose), with us prividing the needed numbers when necesssary.
The North did it successfully  by foisting Gowon. Why couldn't we do the same?
Why is the North still one today, while our region was balkanized into SE and SS?
We have to start using our God given brains.
Extraordinary situation always calls for extraordinary strategies.

I would not mind a Dokubo or any seriously minded Ijaw or Ibibio leading MASSOB for instance. Igbo "smart folks" can be his advisers and guide in that effort.
The end result is the only thing that matters.

This is where I differ from some of my brothers.
I often say here that if someone like myself was in the Biafran war planning team, THERE IS NO WAY WE WOULD LOSE THAT WAR.
I'm serious.

So, I reject the idea that our neighbors cannot be an priceless asset to the emancipation effort.
On the contrary I even think that our dream will remain a dream if we fail to carry them along.  cool

Here I stand!  cool cool cool
Brilliant!
If this had been the old days, we would have rallied to present you 10 virgins.

If we had been brought to the table and told what the plans were, there is no way the war would have been lost. It is really strange that just 4 years after the referendum to create the Midwest, advantage could not be taken of the Midwests unhappiness with their lot in Nigeria. It was a cardinal error to declare us, without consultation to be a new independent country called, the Republic of Benin. Everyone was bewildered and confused, but soldiers are trained to kill; they know nothing about public relations, so it isn't surprising that they created a blooming fiasco.

Mistakes were made in the past, lets forget them and move ahead. I do respect Dede and Ezeachi, but they tend to reel out stories without the slightest proof; ironically, those same fables are the very ones that have been used to divide and rule us.

Bros i disagree with you oo! on this one infact you know millions of us support her and ASARI DOKUBO,so bros you are on your own and you know you don't wanna  delay our zion train.   Whatever differences between the IJAWS and IGBOS however sad,you must agree with me that it was fabricated, planted and forced down people's throats by the usual suspects,  the "OWNERS OF NIGERIA" and now people are seeing who the real enemy is,so pls this is time to show our mature nature.   And 99.9% of us will choose the ijaws and other neighbours around us instead of those violent lots up north, we need our neighbours and they need us too to be in the same place or country with them afterall life can really be boring if it centres only around the families,so please  we are one and have always been, even though the enemies forced their way in uninvited with their guns and threat of violence and starvation for over 40yrs the truth remains we both (IGBO,IJAW) and others have suffered alot in the hands of those who came between us, as all they ever cared for is only their own comfort and it is not gonna keep going forever.    SO LET THE ZION TRAIN COME TAKE US HOME
Long before GEJ even looked like he was ever going to become President, I preached the need for SS/SE to come together politically (with plenty of scars from the process grin); for the simple reason that we were bearing the same deprevations. The born to rule hegemonists rightly identified both SE and SS as the keys to Nigeria and worked as hard as ever to drive wedges between natural brothers, friends and neighbours. They have tried to keep us down and at each others throats, dwelling in a World of conflict where we fight for crumbs off their table while stabbing one another; even though paradoxically, we own the nations wealth. It was always for us to rise above smallness and grasp the truth of our collective strength.
It almost brings tears to the eyes to finally see those early campaigns beginning to finally bear fruit.

We are the key to this country and we better realise it. Lets stop being the stone that the builder refused and become the head corner stone.

There should be even better news when Mambilah gets built. Unfortunately its been affected by misunderstandings from members of the public about the subsidies argument. I hope that the govt diverts the money for the palliatives into that project instead, cos it would provide a whopping 2600MW that can later be expanded to 6000MW (more than our entire current installed base), whereas Sapele is a mere 220MW. $4billion was injected into that project last year, that should take it some way forward.

@delomos

Have you ever heard about software design?

Beaf: where is the technical/design document for PHP?
delomos: ahh! Oga me! Check these opensource projects na, Symfony, Zend, Zend, CakePHP! O bad gan! PHP Build? Bad boys ni o!
www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6

You are an id!ot indeed. The matter in question is a software design issue, which you have no clue about (hence your mention of some open source projects as evidence that PHP is well designed). But I am not surprised, PHP attracts most cut and nail "developers," because it is cut and nail. You are like many illiterates who think that talking loudly covers up their rank stup!dity.

It is a design problem that the PHP mailer is phucked, or simply put; it is phucked because PHP does not follow software design principles, it is based on hack over hack. Like you, it is cut and nail, kpanda, counterfeit, fake.

How do you ask someone who claims to know even the abc of programming to provide evidence that PHP follows a formal design process, and they reply by pointing out open source projects like Symfony, Zend, Zend, CakePHP? shocked shocked shocked Unu go take laf kill armed robber o!!! grin grin grin grin grin

Even worse, you pointed at PHP Build. Sir, what is so great about compiling source code?
Your reply is hilarious though, cos it reminds of some well known loud illiterates who took great pride in misfiring very loudly and foolishly in public (like someone we know). Remember governor Barkin Zuwo of Kano? lol!
A press man asked Barkin Zuwo about mineral development in Kano state and the man went:

Mineral? We get am po flenty mineral! Flenty, flenty! "In my state, we get am po panta, we get am po mirinda, we get am po danta cola, sina cola, we get am po coke!" grin grin grin grin grin grin

What about Adedibu? He was asked how he would stop the never ending student's unrest of the day if he became the governor of Oyo State?  "Aaah! Aaah!" students rest ke?! How can they rest when they are mofing from lekshure room to shase girls and reading in the night? Students can nefa rest nau!" grin grin grin grin grin

Tell me why the PHP mailer is so phucked if there is no design flaw. How dat one take konsain CakePHP?
Prove that you can trap errors from the PHP mailer exactly as you would from any other common function; that will show practically that there is a design standard behind all PHP functions. Anything short, is an id!ots game (you seem to have perfected that quite well grin).

Anyways, foolishness sef na talent. Carry go! Nutin do you!

^ There are varying levels of ignorance demonstrated in your statement(s), and that's ok, so let's break things done and answer your question(s).

No. I cannot produce a Standardized doc from bodies like ISO, or EMCA Int. for PHP, the same way I cannot for HTML, Actionscript, F#, or heck Ruby (whose standards isn't approved yet!), sh#t Unix shell/bash ,  and hundreds of other languages. In fact, there are only few, few languages that have "official" spec has blessed by the gods at these places.
With that admission, you can now shut up.

It is either you provide evidence of a formal design process for PHP that stops simple things like mail scripts phucking up where they shouldn't or you SHUT THE HELL UP, cos you are not answering the simple demand to prove that PHP is not cut and nail.

Prive it or phuck off. Other languages have functional and design specs that one can easily grab hold of. Show the one for PHP, instead of arguing stup!dly. Surely, it can't be that difficult if one exists? shocked

--Beaf scratches head--

By the way, if you don't know where to get the spec for HTML, then I've got to wonder if you learnt your trade at Alaba market. F# has a well known spec, Actionscript is as phucked as PHP. Where is the spec for PHP, fool?
