We can also add praise singing and crowd hirer to Aregbesola's other negative gifts. His aluta warriors were notoriously arrested last week on the way to a praise singing engagement in Abuja which the police looked very unkindly upon (for reasons of security). The police intercepted their vehicle at Lokoja, Kogi State and asked them to turn back. They did. http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/editorial/24334-the-police-again.html Rascals are above the law. |
playmode:For the bolded, there is nothing more annoying and insulting than anybody thinking they can coerce me to their way of thinking. I find it incredible that you do not think that attitude is both aggressive and deeply insulting. On this thread alone, you have said you are pissed off with my political choice, and gone further to call me a traitor and a devil; aside that, you have claimed that I run multiple id's which is blatantly false. Why would you think my opinion of you wouldn't be very low after all of the above? Dude, unlike you, I am a practical person. I don't exist in a dreamworld where nothing gets done or ethnically based politics reigns supreme; if even a tenth of what needs to be done gets laid down, I will mark it as progress. You people argue the way you do, because you are not deep thinkers. You argue and waste your energy for no purpose. Today, you are vehemently against GEJ, but for what alternative? I just feel you people are too mentally lazy to do the math and think things through before abusing those who have done their groundwork. IMHO, it is just childishness. I have deliberately held back from insulting you, so please tone your words down, you aren't sounding too smart right now. You claim I am a paid agent, I wonder if you are the one issuing the cheques? When people say such things, I wonder if its because they are paid that makes them expect others are. It is only on NL that when you are more intelligent than an opponent, they claim you have been paid. |
@playmode & Beaf, Its quite a shame that you people choose fight and hold grudges here on NL, where both of you are faceless. You may be neighbors, siblins, or even blood relatives in real life and should be ashameds of yourselves for letting a faceless forum get the best out of you, on a beautiful Saturday. May I recommend that you take a chill pill, find a nice woman and make passionate love to her. If you are too mean in real life to find one, for pete's sake buy a few condoms (and viagra - I suspect you will definitely need that) and look for a correct Karuwa. awon olodo rabata. Get your personal fights da heck out of here, it is sickening!! geeeeettttttooooout!!!
Lol! You never know indeed!. . .But wait until I finish before, you preach this common sense. There is a message that playmode needs to understand. |
^ What is the long essay for? Do you think words will change the perception the public has of ACN being a party of rascals? PDP doesn't make claims to sainthood or don wolf in sheeps clothing titles like "progressives," only to steal a shocking amount of billions in brazen ways. What is even most strange is the way ACN has hypocritically carried on and labelled PDP with all sorts of names, when common sense tells the man on the street that all political parties are the same, which is why decamping is so rampant. The PDP is superior because of its national outlook and non-ethnicity based spread; ACN, as you yourself have made abundantly clear, is a Yoruba party that must not be criticised by non-Yoruba's like me, in fact you even attempted to ban me from speaking Yoruba (a fine example of thuggish behaviour). That plus you short, red hot temper, lies and loose words makes you an easy candidate for thuggery (check your uncouth response to Nuzo for example). You are thugs, just accept that it is the way you are viewed. Rather than employ decorum, you lot go around abusing and maligning others and when I decide to swing the turret right round, you begin crying to mummy. I didn't start the caustic politics on NL (the thugs did), I'm simply reacting; its just that my reactions are too creative, sophisticated and intelligent for you to cope with; therefore, you erupt in anger, sulk, open ethnic bashing threads, make threats etc. We can be civil if you want, but its up to you. If instead, you up the ante, I will only start at the point where your limits are. |
mo wapa:Thats the man I always compare Aregbesola with! ![]() Both men are known for their comical statements. |
^ Your tone sounded quite aggressive to me, sir. I will give you an example; regardless of how into some figure any NLer is (GenBuhari for example), I would never open my mouth to say I am pissed off with their choice. You aren't god over anybody here. Why do you think I am not telling you that I am pissed off with your political leanings? Would it make sense to you, or would it only give you a low opinion of whoever is expressing disgust at the choice you have made with deep thought? You have no right to coerce me into changing my opinion. I wonder what you think you are. My response has only annoyed you because you have refused to step back and see the point I am making, but thats your call. If you think that supporting GEJ makes me a traitor, then you can shove your "civilised approach" where it belongs. I will repeat again, that I have only a single id, but what you think is your business. In fact, it makes me feel cool that someone is so affected by what I say that they think I must be many people; quite flattering. Lol! |
cap28: Chineke me e! Damn! I always knew you were mad, now the proof is finally here. My guy, Gaddafi was slapped, kicked, sodomised and beaten to death like a mongrel by the ordinary people of Libya. The man is as dead as a damn stone (maybe even 'deader'). ![]() "psy ops!" ![]() --na kres world be dat o - Fela-- |
playmode:Dude, I never ever start any flame wars. You started it with your loose talk about how you were going to kill people (including me). So please cut out the sob story. You people think that the best way to "win" a debate is by mob action, lynching, bullying and opening threads on other individuals; its a wasted tactic, because facts remain facts and I have the constitution of an ox. It is incredible that you can boldly claim to be pissed off because I support GEJ. ![]() Could you step back and think about how that really sounds? I'm not your kid for you to be pissed off at who or what I support, in fact it takes a huge degree of unrefinement to be pissed of at another adults legitimate political choices, especially when they are not extreme. It is disgraceful behaviour and these things have come to make me view your crowd as one with few morals. We can have respect for each others views even when we sit on opposite sides of the fence. When did mind police become a feature of an open forum? To be honest, that behaviour has only been encouraged by the shabby moderating on NL, in fact on many occasions, mods have taken active part in anti-Beaf threads. I can't even count the number of anti-Beaf threads that have been opened on NL. By the way, I only have Beaf as my single user name; all other id's exist in your hyperactive imagination. I don't have that kind of time to create various id's, is NL that important or are we fighting for some sort of price? It is just your intolerant attitude that makes you feel there aren't a lot of people who share opposing beliefs, so your mind tells you to condense them into one person, its your call. Rise above pettiness. |
Gbawe:Dude, you sound so angry, like you're typing with blood pouring from your eyes and ears, sweat beading on your forehead and spit flying in all directions from your mouth. Why are you wounded, because I say Fashola is a gentleman? That surely is not a bad thing. Fashola is a gentleman, the only visible one in ACN. Do you know another one? Everybody calls ACN rascals and they never let us down (just like you haven't with your post above). In what other party do you have governors slapping other governors? Governors living in other states? A continous steam of incendiary invectives and divisive words? Isn't this thread about more of Aregbesola's shabby thuggish instincts? You people always talk and act with hatred, like other Nigerians are your enemies. Dude, you guys take the cream for coming across like a bunch of rascally thugs; wear your crown with "pride." |
I don't think it is fair or nice to ask for the most backward state. |
The Vice President is a very lucky man indeed! If Aregbesola had been in Osogbo yesterday, he might have attempted to slap the gentleman. ![]() Make una de bully Nuzo, as if he'll be a rep in your states; the latest fad on NL is that people cannot be allowed to express their opinions without being mugged by ACN people who have learnt the ugly trick from their leaders. |
goksonjay:You mean the police arrest people and the Presidency should be blamed? Come on! Thats stretching things to incredible lengths. I don't for one minute believe that the President cares or even knows about Aregbesola's aluta groups. However, the police on the other hand, are on the lookout for any rowdy looking groups entering the capital in view of the recent boko haram bombings. The police have the power to arrest anybody from any party or interest group that look like they are a security risk. |
Onlytruth:This my exact problem with all the governors. Aside from Sule Lamido, none seems to be building anything that would empower the people to stand up for themselves and generate money. All we have are flower planting and monorail competitions that lead to nowhere. The people need to be organised to generate wealth, instead we have white elephant and other fund sucking projects for which billions have been borrowed. I am really dissapointed at the sorts of words that have come from the likes of Amaechi and Fashola. Its really disgracefully shabby reasoning that the states need the FG to survive. Can you imagine that Rivers is financially stressed? There are many questions to be answered. |
The federal capital needs to be kept safe from such creatures, especialy when they are howling aluta! ![]() |
The police have the express right to stop anybody looking like this from reaching Abuja: |
Where are the foul mouthed liars and Abacha's million man match organisers like Dayokanu? |
Why Jonathan wasn’t at CHOGM Forum – Presidency On October 28, 2011 · In News The Presidency has reacted to news reports that President Goodluck Jonathan was absent at the CHOGM Forum and failed to deliver a scheduled speech at the ongoing Commonwealth Summit in Australia. However, President Jonathan Friday in Perth, Australia urged leaders of the Commonwealth to build on the organisation’s established values and principles to achieve economic and social progress for their citizens. https://vml1.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/queen.jpg Group photograph of Commonwealth Heads of Government after the opening summit of their 2011 meeting today, Friday in Perth. President Jonathan who spoke while proposing a toast to the Commonwealth at a banquet given by Queen Elizabeth ll for Heads of State and Government participating in the Commonwealth Summit, said that the values and attributes shared by its member-countries will ensure that the Commonwealth continues to remain relevant in global affairs for the foreseeable future. According to him, “the fact that the Commonwealth is now globally recognised as a force for good, particularly in the areas of democracy and development, bears testimony to the widespread acceptance of its established values and principles. “We must build on these attributes and strive to strengthen our rainbow coalition of governments, civil society and businesses to deliver public good and beneficial outcomes to Commonwealth citizens.” The President thanked Queen Elizabeth ll for leading the Commonwealth with “passion, dedication and commitment” over the past six decades. However, in a press statement, the Media Adviser to the President, Dr. Reuben Abati described the media story which said President did not attend the CHOGM event as mischievous and that the innuendoes contained therein are entirely misleading. According to him, President Jonathan was not scheduled to deliver the keynote speech at the forum. “The truth is as follows: On Wednesday, President Jonathan delivered the keynote address at the Commonwealth Business Forum on the theme: “Unleashing Africa’s Potentials: A New Vision.” Attended by a capacity crowd of over 2, 000, the event set the tone for subsequent deliberations at the Commonwealth Business Forum, and the President’s presentation was well received. “ The President was not scheduled to deliver speeches at two events on Thursday as claimed. Rather, he was required to participate in another Business Forum: “Africa – Creating a New Economic Power for the 21st Century”. It was agreed that the state Governors attending CHOGM should attend this event and use the opportunity to showcase trade and investment potentials in their various states. In this regard, the Governors of Ogun, Oyo, Kaduna, Akwa Ibom, Benue and Gombe states participated in the Forum, and in their various presentations, they further explored the themes contained in President Jonathan’s keynote address. Similarly, President Jonathan asked the Minister of Mines and Steel Development to attend the Mining Roundtable.” The media adviser explained that before this, the President had held bilateral meetings with the Hon. Colin Barnett, MPA, Premier of Western Australia, the Prime Minister of Australia, Hon. Ms Julia Gillard, MP, and Governor-General of Australia, Hon. (Ms.) Quentin Bryce AC., adding that the President Jonathan deserves commendation, not embarrassment, for the sense of duty, leadership, and commitment that he continues to demonstrate in bringing Nigeria “out of the woods” of international relations. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/10/why-jonathan-wasn%E2%80%99t-at-chogm-forum-presidency/ |
